We had a lovely time in the Options Jazz Lounge- the jazz duo, Davina Pearl Groups, did a grand job making the room feel special. I look forward to returning and seeing them, and that signature red baby grand piano again.

A nice getaway spot for a weekend, upscale amenities yet not holy #@%! prices, except the restaurant. This may explain why it was near empty when I went by it on our way to anyone of dozens of close by more reasonably priced restaurants with comparable food. Comfy bed, room was nicely appointed, clean and all covid protocols were in place.

Great rooms, service, and atmosphere. Nikita is a pleasure to deal with and very helpful and personable. If I had to complain about anything is you need to change the tap heads in the bathroom. The way it's designed and the neck is higher than where sinks starts you end up just making a big mess of the counter every time you use it. That tap looks more like something you'd see on a bar counter. That's my only complaint. Everything else is great.

I love this hotel!! But there is room for improvement. Check in took over 30 minutes - super long line up almost out the front door. Elevator service needs to be dealt with by upper management. There cannot be 1 elevator working at checkout time. I ended up walking down the 10 flights of stairs… -Not really walkable, I would definitely recommend taking an Uber to the outlets nearby

3 stars because the staff was great. The hotel is dated. The first room we were given had faded chairs with ripped fabric. The sink drain was broken. The curtains had some kind of gross substance on it 🤢. We asked to switch rooms and the staff was wonderful. We were given a new room quite quickly. The new room was slightly better however there was someone’s toothpaste spit drip on the counter, and the paint on the wall was peeling and scuffed. We didn’t complain as I didn’t want to switch a second time. I’m sure they would have accommodated us had I asked. I wouldn’t stay again until they fix it up.

Service is excellent. Rooms do not have a microwave, but there is a mini fridge, coffee maker and kettle. Spa is fantastic. Enjoyed golf at the 9 hole par 3 course with my daughter. Restaurants seem expensive, but many restaurants nearby.

Nice hotel, but it's location is a bit far from the fun stuff unless you're a golfer. This is especially true if you don't have a vehicle. Rooms clean, very comfy bed. Our room had a mini fridge, standard coffee maker and a kettle. I loved the fact that I could have a cup of tea at night. I didn't appreciate the little stores being closed by 4:30 pm when checkin is at 4:00 pm. Restaurant overpriced so we went elsewhere. Clean hotel except the tables around the lobby. I sat down their waiting for my teens for at least an hour and the tables did not get wiped once. I do find the rooms to be a bit overpriced. Gym facility is amazing, pools are small. I would recommend, but i want people to know what they are getting for their money.

They have been a blessing! They have been understanding, caring, compassionate and truly kind throughout our stay and towards our delicate situation for the reason of our stay. ALL staffs at this hotel is absolutely incredible!! They made our stay stress-free and a place that we can find the peace that we needed. The surprise free shuttle service they offered at the hotel was a lifesaver for us!! So thankful they had this as not all hotel offers this. There were a few amazing surprises we got to discover during our stay like the mini arcade for kids and the cafe that carries Starbucks brand. The restaurant we got to try had great food and we had a great experience. The rooms and view were great as well. They also offered water in the mini fridge. The beds are comfortable and it's a clean hotel. Having the pool and hot tub was an absolute great bonus to have for the kids. I also particularly appreciated the elevators that required a card to use to get to the rooms. There's lots in this hotel which is great and close lots of stores and such that you may need throughout your stay. Even if it wasn't a vacation, I treated it like one for the kids and the kids had the best time! I have lots of positive and appreciation for this hotel and its staffs. Thank you for everything!!

Nice hotel, super friendly and helpful staff. The lounge downstairs has live music every night and four roses is their house bourbon. There is a loca shuttle available and the drivers are very nice. There is a heated garage as well. The one possible downside would be the location - it is not in a very walkable space, but they have the shuttle so it’s not so bad. On the flip side it is close to a lot of offices which is a win.

Great service. Friendly staff. Lighting in the bathroom was low. Sink was clogged. Everything else was great. Clean room. Great location to rink & offer shuttle service (cheap = $5), Cafe is nice. Would definitely stay again.

I have been a frequent guest even though I live in Ottawa, it's the perfect place for your next staycation! It's always clean, welcoming, and comfortable. I love the restaurants, the daily jazz is so fun and Perspectives is amazing for brunch especially. Room service is always efficient and delicious and hot! I honestly don't have many downsides, their pools are awesome all year, the spa is friendly and the services are great, and their new arcade room is actually a really fun addition. We did the Sens package this time and that was awesome, great value for money and a really fun time. Would always recommend a stay at Brookstreet, thanks to all the people who work there, they are all friendly and ready to help at all times.

The rooms were quite big, very comfy beds, big bathroom, great view as well. Rooms and the hallways are always very clean. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly, always serving and smiling. The food was delicious and varied. Also the drinks served there are of a large variety. All in all, it's a great hotel. It's a bit far from downtown Ottawa but being across the street from a golf club makes it even better ☺️

I enjoyed my stay here, the gym is massive by hotel standards and very well equipped. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel seemed busy when I was there but I had no problems with the lifts - no wait times. I would stay here again.

I've used both the meeting rooms and the hotel rooms and they're top notch. Clean and well lit rooms, spacious bathroom, fridge with complimentary water. But the amenities are where Brookstreet shines - a golf course, mini golf course, full gym not just a room, indoor and outdoor pools and Jacuzzis. Whether you're here for a wedding or a conference or just spending a night, I think you'll find more than you were looking for at this hotel.

My wife and I hosted a rehearsal dinner and two nights of guest accommodations for our son's wedding held at a nearby golf club. Menu options at Perspectives restaurant were very good and the food was excellent. Rooms were clean and bright with nice views of the adjacent golf course and city skyline if you're on a high floor. Rooms were clean and well stocked with provisions, but they should have an extra luggage rack to accommodate 2 open suitcases at same time, and they could use some more colour (e.g. paintings, decor, etc.) to offset the somewhat "grey" tones. Overall though, it was a great experience for everyone.

  • 5/5 Hillary G. 9 months ago on Google
Our stay was amazing. Fast check in, beautiful rooms. We had a king room with balcony view of the golf course. It was gorgeous. Room service - impeccable. We needed a microwave to heat up a heating pad, we’re willing to run downstairs if needed - no need, they delivered a microwave to our room. Was not expected, but amazing service. Would recommend a million times over!

A great resort style hotel, with a good amount of amenities. I stayed here for a wedding and it was nice having a room that faced the golf course. I could watch people golf in the morning before I started my day. The restaurant has some good options, but the jazz lounge was the winner for me. The singers were playing all the hits and really getting the room going. It's a great spot to spend a Saturday night. The hotel itself is located in a high-tech area of the city so it's quiet on the weekends. Treat it as a little staycation!

The best stay I’ve ever had with friends! The hotel is situated in a spacious area with numerous amenities that enhance our leisure and joy. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay even more delightful. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Ottawa, even though it’s a bit far from downtown. It’s definitely worth the visit.

This great hotel is finally starting to show its age. The golf course is beautiful and challenging, The facilities of the hotel are extensive and luxurious. You can see that the facilities are in a transition. Not all the furniture in the room matches, and even the toiletries that we had in the room were three different brands! The fitness facilities are quite gigantic for a hotel. To have such a big free weight area is unusual for any hotel, so that was great. However, some of the gear is showing its age. The cardio area is quite expansive as well. The outdoor pool and hot tub are in good shape. But you can tell they are not new. The hotel staff, however, even if they are new, are very accommodating and professional! The spa experience is still quite good and the staff there are equally hospitable. It is still a lovely hotel to spend the weekend at especially if you are going to partake in golf or spa activities.

This hotel/resort staff is the most kind and caring staff I have come across in a long time. Andrew at the front desk was honestly the most genuine person I have come across working in the hospitality industry. I was traveling with 3 kids 5, 4, and 2 month old baby and showed up about 2 hours early. Andrew went out of his way with the approval of the manager to let me check-in early. I am so ever grateful to Andrew he was like an angel to a father of 3 kids I will always remember your kindness and I thank you and your entire staff for a such a memorable stay. The outdoor pool and indoor pool are great for kids and such a beautiful resort for the perfect getaway. Kid friendly and very well kept resort. THANK YOU BROOKSTREET STAFF !!!!!!!

🚨 We were shocked after a member of the cleaning team stopped us to ask if we could check out earlier (we had asked for a later check out at 12pm) as they had planned to leave early but we’re delayed as a lot of customers had requested a late checkout. They also complained to us about the mess of the other guests room and how that added more time to their work. I have had the privilege to travel and stay in some fine establishments but this is the first time that I have rushed out from a hotel. ❌ Parking is not included with your room, this seems opportunistic as the location is isolated and you are obliged to take a car to get there. ❌ Odd that bathrobes and slippers were not provided in the room (instead you have to call to request that they are sent up) ❌ Front desk seemed inconvenienced by our questions regarding our stay ✅ The rooms were comfortable and bed was great especially after a long day ✅ Waiters in the restaurant were kind and hospitable ✅ The meals from the main restaurant (Buddha bowl and Traditional breakfast) were very good.

Loved the jazz bar! Rooms are clean and spacious with nice views The purpose of my recent stay was to stay at the outdoor pool but the lifeguard kept kicking people out saying over occupancy. Kind of ruined my experience

From the very first interaction with Amanda, who handled my reservation with grace and efficiency, to the extraordinary service provided by Nick, the dedicated front desk representative, every aspect of my mini getaway was characterized by excellence. Amanda's meticulous attention to detail set the stage for a flawless experience, and Nick's exceptional kindness and unwavering commitment to exceeding my expectations made my stay truly remarkable. Furthermore, the spa experience that followed was a symphony of tranquility and rejuvenation, adding an exquisite touch to my already delightful retreat.

Highly recommend the hotel restaurant for a fantastic dining experience! A good wine selection, and the fall dinner special was a culinary delight—starting with a delectable squash soup and followed by a flavorful duck main course. Sushi, recommended to us, proved to be an excellent choice for starters. Don't miss out on the desserts. Overall, a memorable and delicious evening!

I was recently there for a conference, the room was nice with a few small glitches. I.E. cabinet door slightly off set making it hard to open. Not something that was unusable but an annoyance. Food and service were great. Anything you asked for or needed was quickly obtained. Location is slightly off some main streets but not too bad. I would definitely recommend to others as a place to stay.

Clean, local, beautiful, with indoor and outdoor pool and hot tubs. Well equipped workout room and spa. Friendly people and staff, and a downstairs jazz bar, wonderful party halls. The room was clean and the service was great, however there is no fridge, microwave, room utensils, or ice machine. However the ice was brought up to our room for free by room service, and so was a bottle opener. In addition, the price was very reasonable for what it offers! Wish we could find more Brookstreets around the world. Overall, we had a great experience, so it is 5 stars.

Had two rooms in November 2023. Excellent location for a conference I attended. Rooms were modern, clean, and spacious. Restaurant breakfast (not included) was excellent. The swimming pool and hot tub are a little tricky to find but very well maintained. Location was great for attending the Senators game, and there is lots of nearby shopping options (Costco, Walmart, and more). Indoor parking garage is great for staying warm when arriving/departing the hotel. Downtown was less than 30 minutes away. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Ottawa.

Was looking forward to a two night stay at the 4 star hotel. Unfortunately was very underwhelmed by the room which definitely needs a renovation. Paint chips on the walls, washroom shower head loose and very old, shower tiles pulling away from the wall at the edges, hard water stains on the tile floor around the shower and toilet constantly running, mini fridge in a tiny cabinet that didn't get cold until I pulled it out of the cabinet (overheating). Had to open the TV cabinet doors in order to get clearance to pull open the drawers beneath, and a king sized bed that was old and uneven and had a flat sheet tucked around instead of a fitted sheet. And in the morning when the sun came out was able to notice the drapery has well worn spots on the right hand side. You have to pay extra for parking. The parking garage has its own elevator from the lobby. So, you have to park your car, come up one floor, get a luggage cart from the lobby, go back down the garage elevator, come back up the garage elevator then go to the lobby to get on the elevators that go up to the floors. Could they please just keep some luggage carts in the garage? As for location, unless you are there to play golf, it is basically located in what may have been a tech office campus in the past. Now it is surrounded by office towers with vacant parking lots.

Possibly the worst hotel experience I've ever had; price for quality of the room - not worth it. Could have stayed at a Holiday Inn for a week for the same price & same quality of room. In-room dinning extremely expensive, basically local restaurant quality food. Bed didn't come with a fitted sheet, when requested never brought one up. Checked out a Day earlier. Had to have maintenance fix water pressure in the sink, advised ahead of time it was for a honeymoon, couldn't even ensure the room was in working order. Shower temp is mediocre. Room too hot Mattress too soft & hurt my back. TV & furniture almost 10yrs old, TV remote barely works. Overall not worth the money - wasted $990 & 2 days of my life. Would not stay again

Awesome experience, only half way through our stay and already know that we'll be back. Completely Covid comfortable. Check in and parking is fast and efficient. Staff go above and beyond, big shout out to Gabrielle on front desk and Joel at the pool. Clean, quiet and relaxing . Thank you.

My room had a pretty ugly view (4th floor so I just saw a gravel roof) but I'm sure other rooms are pretty good. The staff is kind and ready to attend you for the most part. Some parts of the hotel can feel more dated than others. The pool feels pretty small and dated especially. Our room had small but noticeable scratches on the wall but overall was pretty impressive. TVs aren't anything special. Same TV that we see at Days Inn so unfortunately it's not something to write home about if you want to stay in and watch TV.

Hotel was great in every possible way, we wanted to be somewhere far from downtown Ottawa for a romantic getaway and it worked. Kinda disappointed that breakfast is NOT included, rooms don't have disposable slippers or bathrobes (towels are never enough). Other than that everything was great, room were so clean and neat, staff highly professional, and the price was responsible.

I've been to Brookstreet several times, I think there have been changes due to COVID. Arrived and underground parking ticket dispenser didn't work, there was a lineup of cars. Then, went to check-in, waited 35 minutes just to check-in, there were only 2 clerks working and 14 people behind me. Had to reserve for the pool, and pool hours were significantly reduced (got kicked out at 8:45pm from indoor pool when sign said it closes at 10:30pm). Dinner was good, service was a bit slow, maybe short staffed. The spa experience was awesome! Great facial by Nadia, I feel like she went the extra mile. All in all, not a bad stay but perhaps COVID factored into a few things I felt could be better. Would still return.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel for the first time on Canada Day. The room was clean and spacious enough, however...i had an engagement that night and needed to do my make-up. One of the light bulbs were out in the washroom which made it pretty dull to see what i was doing. They had a magnifying mirror with a light ring which i tried using, that light was out as well. Let's just say I was less than confident when i left for my evening. Other than that 👍🏻

I really enjoy the experience of this hotel. The jazz bar, the patios and the views. Food has been consistent. It is a great place to stay. We also stay here frequently. We are staying with a group for my son's wedding coming up in October at an off site venue. I advocated this hotel to family and friends so I hope the experience is the same. The hotel limits their shuttle service to a 10 minute radius something to note. That is marginally inconvenient if you're looking for this as there are other hotels in the area that offer a further range maybe not the experience. A service should be offered for a hotel of this caliber especially if lower end hotels in the area offer it. I still give this hotel a 5 star . Hopefully they will consider some of the suggestions.

  • 3/5 Michael Di C. 1 year ago on Google
Overall the experience was good. Very clean and service was good as well. If you plan to spend all of your time there and spend lots of money for the additional services, then good for you. However, it is in the middle of no where and not much to do unless you have access to transportation. Finally, as for the food and menu options, it was disappointing for anyone who is vegetarian or vegan...not a please for anyone with these dietary options.

Came here for a friend's wedding and was very impressed with their amenities and breadth of services. Really beautiful space with lots of areas to walk around and great halls for wedding ceremonies. Enjoyed my time here and look forward to visiting again.

Loved our stay here. The room was amazing! Service was great too! Amazing view, great food, and even great coffee!!! I'd go again for sure. If it wasn't so close to home, I could justify it easier. Lol.

The landscape was beautiful and makes a nice background to a wedding which is why my daughter chose to get married there. The complaint I have is that Brookstreet Hotel wanted to kick me 'the mother of the bride' out because the front desk clerk had us for one night instead of two nights. I had proof of my e-mail that I requested two nights. Our card key was de-activated after 1 pm and locked my husband between floors when the wedding ceremony was taking place. The security of this hotel is good in one way, but it can also be a hazard!

A bit far from the center of town. We were looking forward to the outdoor pool and hot tub but unfortunately it was closed. Indoor pool was very busy and loud. Food was good but be ready to spend a good 35$+ per person per main. Live jazz band at 1 of their restaurant was a plus. They have 2. The room was clean and bed oh so comfy. Water pressure was ok but seen better. Cable tv was annoying since list of channels did not match programming. Overall, well worth it if you want to enjoy the outdoor facilities but make sure they open first or it felt like the price was a bit steep.

Thatcher was very welcoming and friendly when we first arrived. You can tell they care about the work. Our dog came with us and it was so comfortable. The pool was great and the gym was pretty good except many machines were in maintenance. I only tried the Cafe but it was great service and simple yummy food!

  • 5/5 Slava M. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed there for New Year's, the room was quite nice and overall hotel was pretty good, we never got to use any amenities such as the gym or the pool, but we did look at them and it looked appealing. The only complaint is that for wifi we had to use a portal which didn't work for our baby camera, which was the main reason we came to a hotel for so we can use the restaurant downstairs for new year's. Overall, happy with the experience and we would come back.

Decided to stay here because our beloved Bruins were staying here. Staff at the hotel were wonderful. Tatiana checked us in and was very pleasant. Sidney took great care of us for breakfast. Special thanks to Shawnee for trying to help my son celebrate his 16th birthday by seeing the Bruins players. Sadly they came and left through the back in a secure area. To the over zealous security guard you need to lighten up and be nicer. There were a few young children hoping to get a view of their idols but the security guard went out of his way to be rude to everyone.

I brought my family to Brookstreet for a mini getaway. Front desk service was ok, not terribly friendly. They lost the proper reservation details (I had booked the family package). Pool area was not clean, and the hot tub was closed the second day. The pool area is nice for kids when the kid area is open. The room was dusty. They charge for parking even though the hotel is in the middle of nowhere (it ended up being included in my package but normally charged). The gym facilities were very nice. Not sure that I would return, especially for the price.

Great hotel, especially if you don't need to be in downtown Ottawa. It is about 25 minute drive to Byward Market, Parliament Hill etc. Hotel was clean, room was spotless, hand sanitizers everywhere. I last stayed here about17 years ago, room had MINOR signs of aging. The only issue I had was they have an app, that turns your cell into room key, (no more demagnetizing, your room key with cell phone..lol. But that app wouldn't connect. Front desk said their IT team was looking into it, but never did get resolved. Be aware it is $15, (tax included), for underground parking. There is NO other option, for parking. Bed was luxurious. Would HIGHLY recommend as an option close to, but not IN Ottawa.

  • 1/5 Brody M. 2 years ago on Google
Our service was great, but that cannot over shadow the food. My wife and I got their classic breakfast. Eggs over easy, and sausage, very easy to cook in my mind. Well the eggs were over hard, potatoes seemed like they have been in a warming dish for hours, and sausages were cold. I asked for it to be re-done, I got one egg cooked properly and one over hard again. They gave me fresh potatoes, but they lacked any sort of seasoning. For a hefty 16$ I was expecting so much more. I will never return and advise anyone staying here to go some else for breakfast

Overall I had a great experience. I stayed two nights on business. The rooms were comfortable and a great size. The staff were helpful and approachable. The hotel was clean and inviting. I would stay there again without a doubt. I was surprised how much the hotel had to offer.

😠 I ordered the chicken wrap with poutine. Unfortunately, hair was found in my wrap. The management was very accommodating. They did not charge me for the meal I didn't eat. And gave me 2 gift certificates worth $25. Each. I will try this restaurant again and give them another chance.
