I can’t remember the last time I visited this mall if I even ever have 😂 but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a nice little shopping centre with some good stores and a adequate food court. The covid thing has really limited the amount of seating and that’s really not convenient. I’m sure they could open up some more and still be within safety standards. Hopefully it will improve down the road. 👍☺️

This mall has so many empty units due to charging rent that is absurd for this mall. Geared towards seniors and always will be. They have not updated anything of note in years. Too many eye clinics and phone kiosks. No notable men's clothing stores to speak off. The dollar store makes this mall look much busier than it actually is. Friendly environment and shopping experiences but the lack of options is a big downer. The Canadian Tire doesn't offer any boost to the stores around it. They have a seperate walk around entrance that isn't connected directly to the mall for easy entrance. Usually people smoking by the doors, pretty big turn off the minute you enter the mall. Unless it's Christmas season, try to avoid this mall. There really is no reason to give this mall 4-5 stars. It simply doesn't offer enough for everyone. It's a very niche mall with a small demographic. The retailers here struggle because there really are no anchor stores to pull people in. Again, this is a friendly and nice mall. The 5 star reviews aren't warranted if you're looking at being honest. It's great to take small kids on an outing but shopping here you will be disappointed. Food court is the same as every other mall for the most part. Just a bland and boring place to be overall.

Not a high end brands mall but still nice and clean with good options. Love that they have Canadian tire there.

It’s a shopping centre amongst the locals, with very convenient bus access. There is also a grocery store attached to the centre Overall, the selection of merchandise here is plenty. However, if u saw Toronto or Dubai base shopping malls then don’t go there definitely disappoint u, because it’s not a modern abundance or exotic place. Could be a good choice for practical day today shoppers.

The new Canadian Tire is impressive. They are clearly trying to do way more with a single store, and in my opinion nailed it.

I took my children to the mall this year to see socially distanced Santa, and it was honestly the most AMAZING Santa experience. Extremely COVID conscious and very well laid out. Santa is located in an empty store instead of out in the public hallway. With appointments there is no need for long line ups. The entire experience was just amazing, and we have an iconic 2020 Christmas photo :)

The Carlingwood Shopping Centre is a charming and cozy place to shop. The atmosphere is welcoming and the store selection is excellent. They offer a great mix of stores, from clothing to home goods, and everything in between. The decor and layout make for an enjoyable shopping experience and the staff is always friendly. If you're looking for a shopping centre with a lot to offer, look no further than Carlingwood.

Nice mall, clean restroom and helpful staff. Next to Canadian Tire and Loblaw super market, so it's convenient for family shopping. Food court was nice and has Timmy's, seems a good place to do exercise at early morning by walking around and around inside the mall!

Always like the one level, easy to find everything layout. Very wide aisles, carpeted flooring, warm fuzzy feeling in this mall. If you're looking for a phone store, they're all here. The new Canadian Tire store is here now too. Like stepping into an alternate universe.

I have always liked Carlingwood. Easy to find parking and stores as all on one level. My bank is in the mall, a new bubble juice store that is deserving of a visit if you like those types of drinks they make them better than many I've tried in the city. My favourite chocolate store Purdys always gets my business while I'm in the mall. The dollar store downstairs is huge and carries anything you are needing that the other locations have in stock. Plus even more choices. There is a cobbler in the mall I like and he does a great job fixing my shoes and boots. Slightly pricey but worth it because of the excellent workmanship.

One of the first mall in Ottawa, I enjoy going there for a coffee and meeting place with friends. It is just sad to see many retailers/shops closed and closing over the years specially this few years. And I hope they font close the completely. Nice to see Canadian tire been added to the building. 😊

Great single floor mall (only two stores on a lower level, with elevator and escalator access). Easy to visit with kids. Lots of various themed events throughout the year. We do miss the holiday train rides in December though, the kids would look forward to it - any chance of those coming back one day? :)

I recently visited Carlingwood Shopping Centre and was so impressed with the variety of stores available. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for, in a great location with easy access to parking and public transit. The staff were also helpful and friendly. It's a great place to shop!

This mall has nice stores, however the carpeting in most of the mall corridors... warning to shoppers!!! It's 30 years old!!!!! That carpet has been there since I was 30, I'm 67!!!! Imagine the allergens, bacteria and germs the carpet is putting in the air every day? Other malls have tile!!! Get with it Carlingwood Mall owner or management!!! Do something, stop being so cheap!!!??

This mall was once a thriving center. The government's ludicrous response to covid19 has caused many businesses, once in the mall, to go under. The new Canadian Tire store has boosted it somewhat, but it is nowhere near what it once was. The elderly still use it as a great spot to walk inside away from severe weather. The mall is one giant loop, thus great for walking several laps.

The mall is not too big, and not crowded, I even would like to say it is pretty quiet mall. However, the mall has Canadian Tire, which I would say it is much bigger than any other Canadian tire stores. It looks much better layout, high class looks than any other Canadian tire stores. The mall itself is clean, and not far from Loblaws store as well. I like the atmosphere here, which is not too crowded. Very relaxing to shop here. The mall also has some restaurants inside, like; subway sandwich, etc.

It has changed a lot over the years, there is no longer a play area for kids, with the exeption of the rides that cost. There are also no longer many young adult stores, so the mall is amazing for a quiet setting, for elders, but not as great anymore for single moms, which is why I used to love it there.

Great little mall. Has a good selection of stores and food options. Unfortunately there are not as many stores as there used to be due to a few closing because of Covid. The mall is very quiet and not nearly as busy as other larger malls.

Carling wood shopping centre is a beautiful place to go if you're looking for a relaxing day with your grandparents. It is small and it doesn't have the hustle and bustle of say Bayshore shopping centre however it has a couple hip stores like Dollarama and a record store. Nice for a Sunday afternoon when you have to go see grams but not if you need a day away from the rents ;)

It is a decent mall with many stores to shop at. There is also news that there will be a new Canadian Tire built there soon. If you don't like the big busy malls, then this is the mall for you. The food court offers a great selection of food with different varieties. The mall has definitely aged well over the years and it will continue to be a convenient place to shop for those who live near it.

Have always loved Carlingwood. It's a great place to wander, getting some 1 level exercise. They have lots of great shops for young, ld and in between. The food court has expanded with some great new choices. Always a favourite mall.

Think it's the only mall in Ottawa that doesn't have a need for an elevator. As someone using a mobility device, this is great! No guessing where an elevator is or if it works! Not very many stores that are interesting to me though.

Always a delight to visit. This time was able to see a special Christmas visitor "the Grinch". Was able to be seen without reservation as they had a opening. Champs staff were awesome towards my daughter while looking for a pair of shoes to purchase. Great service and great little mall

Very so very sad! Getting close to the dismal failure of Westgate Shopping Mall lowered standards. Carlingwood Shopping Centre keeps loosing merchants. Inside information: The merchant agreement with Carlingwood Shopping Centre Management is a greedy leprechaun's golden treasure pot which even the Ontario Teacher's Federation has vested interests. If I could talk to management, I would recommend getting back to grass root principles: good, consistent, useful and fair services for client and merchants. The merchants, in turn, would not need to charge so much just to pay monthly rent! The merchant contracts are what I heard ex-merchants say often: "Pure Exploitation".

I will say that sears looks different :) in all seriousness, the Canadian tire is very nice, it felt kinda weird walking into it when you remember what used to be there before, it's a quiet little mall and I hope it has a future in today's threatening online market

This mall is a great place for older adults, and has several stores for them to find outfits. Unfortunately, a lot of the older population were not wearing masks correctly, or at all.

This place is my home away from home I first experienced this mall when I was a preteen at the age of 12. Myself & my friends would hang out with the other kids from the area, & to be honest it was known for checking out some potential boyfriends - girlfriends lol, funny but true. Fast forward 40+ years I'm still a Carlingwood Mall groupie, the only difference is I'm here to ""avoid"" hooking up with a boyfriend lol.

It's an okay mall, they have some interesting stores that seem to have some decent sales. I mostly like it for dollarama, and the new Canadian Tire addition if you happen to be in the area.

This place is dead. At 6pm most of the food court restaurants were closed and the ones that were open looked liked they were closing.

Cute little mall that has everything! It is a hidden gem! I do my eyebrows, shop at my favourite places, eat at the Greek restaurant and do my banking there! There is a beautiful shop for bridal dresses as well!

Very nice mall. It is going to even get better with the biggest Canadian Tire store in the city and with that comes Sportcheck and Mark's Work Warehouse also. That will be some exciting additions to an already great mall. Looking forward to returning there to shop. Highly recommend to shop there.

Great location, and now with Canadian Tire there its a one-stop-shop mall. Its not a huge mall by any means, but it's a good sized building. Great mix of stores and decent food court. Again, this place isn't massive, so the food court is a great size considering. They do a great job at keeping the interior and outside clean.

Well Canadian Tire has arrived. I loved this mall when Sears was around. Lets hop that the increased housing prices and the surrounding boom of retail across the road leads to more businesses renting the many spaces available here now. NYfries is gone.. :(

One of the cutest malls in Ottawa, loads of stores and services. Why only photos of the outside? So you can come and enjoy the inside spoiler free

  • 4/5 Brian R. 10 months ago on Google
So many stores have come and gone from the mall.. the food court isn't to bad for the few places that you can order from.. but I do like going to manchu wok for the pepper steak they have there

If you want a slow and relaxing mall walk go here. Lots of seniors citizens hence the calmness of the mall. There's some good selection of stores and it will be much better if there's more food vendors

Accessibility: Fully accessible with main entrance in the front. -Lots of space to navigate. -Decent selection of stores. -Front parking gets busy but there's parking all around the mall. -OK selection of stores. This mall has two stores I can't find anywhere else in Ottawa so I'm very grateful for this. -Overall quiet here, a lot of more senior shoppers.

  • 4/5 J H. 2 years ago on Google
This is a great mall, it's clean and has plenty of seating to stop and rest when visiting multiple stores. The bathrooms are well maintained. The selection of stores meets a lot of needs but they are notably missing a pet store and an electronics store. There are phone booths for every type of phone as well as a "the source" store, but the source is just another phone store and you will have to go to the staples in the next plaza if you need something other than phones. The attached grocery store is overpriced. Luckily there is a huge dollarama downstairs with a great selection of household and pantry items to make up for some of the other stores.

  • 4/5 Eileen F. 2 years ago on Google
It was very pleasant and lots of assorted retail outlets. The Mall is so well situated in the City quite a few choices of transportation. I enjoyed my day and will return on a more regular basis.

  • 3/5 Terra T. 1 year ago on Google
It used to be a good mall with Zellers and Sears. Over the past decades it has gone downhill with its expensive stores which I never go to. The grocery store is expensive so I avoid it unless I am at the mall for the dentist and some grocery items are on sale. If it were not for the dentist I would have no need to patronize this mall. It used to be senior friendly but no more.

Not many people I so wanted to try the massaging Lazyboy type of chairs in the middle but I didn't. Next time. We ate New York Fries which was dazzling!! Thank You Carlingwood Shopping Center!!!

Decent store selection, if you don’t have high standards. Everything you need in one place. But please beware of the massive crowds of geezers and be careful not to walk too fast or else you’ll plow them down like a bowling ball.

  • 4/5 Laurie F. 1 year ago on Google
I will be happy once renovations. Are completed on the Canadian Tire. They needed a major draw in.. They really need to fill the empty stores though. It's been way to long

  • 2/5 Liz V. 5 months ago on Google • 1 review
As a wheelchair user this mall is not easy to navigate. The outside sidewalks are small and sloped towards traffic which makes it hard to go straight. The inside of the mall is covered in large carpeted sections making pushing a chair much more physically demanding. The Lowblaws entrance is surrounded by metal posts making it impossible to get to once the mall is closed. It has nice stores but nothing worth the aggravation.

Great for kids, they let you rent little motor animals for the kids to ride, they get Santa, and a costume store opens up for Halloween. Great for kids. Even a couple massage chairs that are really good you can pay for a break.
