The filling of the pastila was really burned inside couldn’t finish it , terrible couscous , I’ve never saw Couscous without zucchini and the others vegetables. If you want to run a business that concerns a country please try to represent it well . Because this has nothing with Moroccan gastronomy

We came here because another restaurant in the area we wanted to visit had a wait time of 1 hour and 30 minutes (!!!). I selected this restaurant on a whim through Google Maps. I'm glad I did. The food here is great. My 5 year old daughter loved eating everything we gave her. We ordered a Royal Plate. The service was excellent as well.

We came upon this little Moroccan restaurant while walking around ByWard Market. It’s a small place but quite popular. We wanted some cooked vegetables and chicken. The food was quite good. We also tried the Moroccan coffee and desserts. They were good.

If you gonna go to ByWard Market, I strongly recommend this restaurant!! The food was so delicious. We had fish and chicken. There were a lot of fresh vegetables in the dish, super nice staff, reasonable price and good service.

We came to this little Moroccan restaurant in ByWade market when we were looking for a place to eat for lunch. They are super busy, and lucky we were able to grab a table for lunch. Two ppl ran the restaurant, and it told them 25 mins to take our order, but the food was worth the wait. They have some options for vegetarians and vegans. I ordered the stuffed eggplant- which was yummy. My husband ordered the fish plate, and my kids ordered the chicken plate. Their Portions were significant, and my kids ended up sharing one plate. I would highly recommend this little restaurant if you are in Ottawa.

Every time we visit byward market we have to try something new. Today we saw Le Casablanca, and we definitely know that Moroccan cuisine is famous with their couscous. We order a platter for two( Royal ). The food and everything was great especially the tea which is a must have. But the four stars is for the food, we felt it needs to be heated a bit more. But definitely I strongly recommend this place.

Heard some great things about this bistro located smack in the middle of Byward market. Once in, expect the proper middle eastern welcome and hospitality. Everyone smiles while making eye contact and the place is very well docarated. In the natural setting of this place, you will get an instance where you'd think you are in a Moroccan 'bazar'. Food is magnifique. We tried almost everything on the menu and it tasted so good! From the plater we had chicken, lamb, kefta and merguez (Moroccan Sausage). The salmon tasted great as well. Everything comes with either rice or couscous. Topped with some vegetables and chickpeas and binding all those together with some seriously good sauce. We ended our culnary journey with some baklava and other Moroccan sweets. We also had some authentic tea poured by the Captian himself! Always love visiting this part of Canada. Now we have a reason to keep coming back.

Amazing food and the friendliest service! Definitely try the pastilla (chicken honey filo) don't get turnoff, it's a heavenly mashup of savory and sweet. The lamb leg is amazing too.

I was so glad to discover this place while in Ottawa working with my clients. Grabbed to bring back to hotel a delicious chicken pastilla, amazing chickpeas couscous and harira soup. Definitely coming back to get a taste from home away from home, Inshallah!

This Morrocan place was a highlight of my stay in Ottawa. The food was off the charts, tasty, well done and authentic. The owners were awesome, very genuine, very nice, ready to help and advise on the best way to enjoy this experience. They recommended awesome combination of foods and gave me actual spicy 🤷🏾‍♂️, not sugar and sweet spicy, spicy and hot kinda spicy. I will definitely recommend this little piece of Morroco in Ottawa for its overall value.

Amazing food! We ordered the Royal Plate for $34.95, which is meant for 2 people. The portion of the food is huge. It’s enough to feed 2-3 people. There were lamb, chicken, sausage, meatball and vegetables. The staff were extremely friendly. Highly recommended if you are near Byward Market and super hungry!

Ordered a bit of everything (Couscous Royal - something along the lines of that) with lamb that was incredibly tender and juicy, merguez, beef balls, quarter chicken leg, couscous, rice and veggies. We also ordered some mint tea at the end - lovely and warm service.

A place to go if you are looking for subtle and light but good full of taste. I loved the mint tea made with fresh mint leaves. The food was lovely and the chicken was on another level nice and juicy.

The food was decent in taste, but i got sick the next day. The service was slow and the waiter seem to not see us sometimes. Mostly the bill was weird, somehow the owner added random fees in the bill and never gave me the bill nor explained the fee. This is very dishonest business behavior, I hate when business do that. I didn't say anything because i didn't want to ruin my family trip for this petty thing, but still bad behaviour from this owner.

A wonderful and atmospheric restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation of the food and its quality and taste. Special thanks to the staff for their attentiveness and sensitivity - they are true professionals in their field. You can immediately notice that the establishment looks neat and clean, and the design is simply incredible. Only the best impressions remain, highly recommended.

Located in the heart of Ottawa’s Byward market, and HIGHLY recommend! I’ve been coming here since I was in University for their chicken Pastilla (10+yrs ago). Love their lamb shank with rice and couscous for lunch too. Pick up is quick and easy. It gets pretty busy at lunch time but the owner is super nice! Love the hot sauce on the side. I’ve sat down and had their mixed plate and it’s a great shareable option. It says it’s for 2…. But could easily be shared with 3!

Nice economical halal morroccan food option in Ottawa. Generous portions. Downside is, food is already prepared and set like a buffet, so it is not prepared fresh for you.

We ordered the Royal meal for two. The place is in the historical byward market. The Morricone food is very tasty. The royal meal is mixed plate which has all the meat!!

Haven’t had Moroccan mint tea this delicious in so long. The meal was amazing too. We got the Royale dish which was excellent value for the price. The portions are so generous we ended up taking food home. Also ordered some Pastilla for home and they are huge. I’m sure they will taste just as wonderful as they look. Great staff all around. Very welcoming and hard working. They checked on us several times making sure we loved the food and had everything we needed. Overall fantastic experience. Will repeat for sure.

We were in Ottawa for a week and ate there 3 times. That is saying a lot because we are foodies and there are hundreds of restaurants in the area. Great food (try the Pastilla), very warm, friendly service and a great location. Loved it!

We had the royal platter for two and the chicken pastilla. Both were excellent! The meats were fresh and succulent, and the pastilla had a beautiful savoury sweet flavour (pastilla is chicken and walnuts wrapped in phyllo pastry). It’s a friendly spot with amazing value for money—Nothing too fancy but it really hit the spot!

First time trying Moroccan food with some friends. I had ordered the Royal Plate to share with one of them as well as some mint tea. The food was delicious and we received good service during our dining experience. It is a little chilly seated near the door so be wary during the colder months but otherwise a cozy atmosphere.
