I'm not sure if there was a change in ownership or something but the food I got today was so unappetizing and such a waste of money. For 2 platters I paid 60 dollars and couldn't finish the food because of how disappointed I was. I'm not sure what's going on but the quality of the food needs to improve asap, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy, and for some reason the young guy in the back is always yelling at his workers

We order from this spot at least 3 times a month and it’s delicious every time. There’s always a generous amount in every order and the friendliest service. We love the platters and the Greek salad.

The food is excellent here and the staff is very friendly . I still prefer the original location on prince of whales. The taste of the food is similar however the amount of food now is much less, the portions are average compared to before. I suggest you add more sauce to the rice and load up on the potatoes like the old days.

We ordered takeout off their website but decided to dine in when we got there. The restaurant employees were so nice and took our food out of the takeout boxes and brought everything out on plates. They were super friendly! We will be coming back for sure :)

The salads were outstanding and so fresh! The lamb plate I had was amazing and perfectly cooked. Desert had to come home or I would have needed a cart to help me leave. This is a MUST to visit in Ottawa!

Ordered 4 main platters and 4 sides for a family of 6. I went and picked it up myself because I was outside their delivery area. The food was hot by the time I got it back home on the table. The appetizers were all fantastic. The Hummus and the Tzatziki were to die for. The only setback was the calamari. It was not fresh and soggy. I always like to try a menu item that's not popular and see if there's a hidden gem, but this was a miss. Every main platter was absolutely amazing. The lamb, the chicken breasts and the chicken souvlaki were all perfectly seasoned, juicy and tender. The rice and lemon potatoes were heavenly and in very generous amounts. Plenty of leftovers, and they were still delicious the next day. The platters prices were very reasonable but the appetizers were a bit pricey. You can skip the appetizers altogether and still get a very decent full meal for less than $13. Main platters come with a tiny sides (dipping sauce size) of Hummus and Tzatziki. I'll keep this on my list for the days we get tired of butter chicken, but still crave rice and chicken or lamb.

Great find! I’m not from Ottawa and when travelling tired of fast food. This is good food made fast. Fresh ingredients and tasty. Nice guys working there very comfortable atmosphere Good value for the money. Highly recommend and I will be back on my next trip.

I was impressed. Don't let the simple atmosphere or average price trick you - the food is in large quantity and is done PERFECTLY. We had Calamari with Tazziki, salad, chicken, beef, baked potato and home fries and a baklava. I shared the following with the owner, and he passively nodded. I am not crazy about the rice as it is plain, I would ask them to put the sauce (which they put on the rice aside) as It is spicy and the taste doesn't go well with everything else (at least for me). But for the price, distance and freshness it deserves 4/5.

The lamb was cooked to perfection! The food and service were both 5 stars. The food came quickly. Highly recommend and will visit again! Thank you for the amazing food!

2023 May 3.5★ For Greek food, this isn't bad. Portions are pretty big but relative to the price, it's fair. A small restaurant with 5 tables and seating up to 20. The staff themselves are helpful and prompt. Souvlaki Classic Pork Platter With Side salad, Potatoes & FRIES $21.95 The pork tasted good, but was a bit hard. Not sure if it was just over cooked. Traditional Beef Gyro with Side salad, Rice & Potatoes $23.95 The beef was seasoned well and was tender (minced beef after all....) The rice and potatos was ok. The fries weren't bad. The salad was quite good. Overall a decent meal for someone hungry. Parking is limited as it's shared with the other restaurants in the plaza.

I had a craving to eat some Greek food. So I searched Google maps for restaurants that had high 4.6 star rating. The Greek Souvlaki House was at the top of the list. I ordered a Greek salad and the beef souvlaki platter. I was happy with my choice, it was delicious! The meat was properly cooked to medium rare, the tzatzik creamy yogurt had a good balance of garlic and the greek salad was good. Service was great and the whole dining experience was awesome. Costs for my meal was fair and serving sizes were good. Update: I have been back several time ordering the lamb and pork souvlaki dinners and I am happy to report that every meal was awesome. I think you will like the Greek Souvlaki House. Also I noticed that there were lots of people ordering through the delivery aps. If you like my reviews, photos or videos yell out opa and give a thumbs up.

I used to be a regular at here for years even before they moved to this location. One of my favourite places. I ordered for takeout pork souvlaki dinner extra skewer of chicken as well. I asked them if it was possible to bring it out to my car cause I am handicapped and they were very helpful with that. Now the food. Unfortunately it’s not the same as before. Skewers were dry and overdone burnt . Bland . Rice and potatoes were bland as well. I guess it was a bad day or it’s like it used to be. Anyway the guy who brought it out to me was very nice hoped I enjoyed my meal. Maybe next time.

Stopped here for dinner on a day tip to ottawa, some of the best Greek food I've had! We go the pikilia appetizer that I highly recommend. Reasonably priced and very friendly service plus we had lots of leftovers to bring home

Fantastic meal all around. This is one of Ottawas best authentic Greek restaurants, bar none. Yes it’s small. Yea seating is limited. But the quality and freshness of the food, paired with the fantastic customer service is worth the visit. We tend to be one trick ponies when we eat here. The wife will have a platter or a Greek salad, I do a pita wrap (tomatoes onion tzatziki). And doesn’t matter if it’s today or 8 years ago it’s always the same high quality I come to expect from them. But tonight we agreed to share a basic order of fries. Most restaurants have the same old boring shoe string fries, drop em and serve em. These hand cut fries were coated in an amazing powdered slice/rub that made them stand out by themselves. Staff as mentioned is friendly, courteous, and quick to get you in and served. And as small and tight as the place is? You do not feel or get rushed to finish and leave. Thanks as always for a great dinner out.

Delicious food! We got a large catering package and some extra skewers and it was more than enough food for our party (30ish people). Everyone loved their meals. Mark was very helpful with the ordering process, and they helped load everything into my car, which was super sweet! Will definitely be ordering again 😊.

This was a good eat. The chicken was a little bitter/burnt tasting but overall, I enjoyed my chicken soulvaki.

I’ve been a fan of this place since their old location - way back when I was a little kid! I kid you not, I stopped being a vegetarian after 7 years when I learned they reopened. The pork souvlaki meal, garlic bread, and calamari changed my life LOL! Such nice people too! Can’t wait to go back :)

We’ve been coming here since I was a kid and it’s always been fantastic. I highly recommend the lamb burger. The service is awesome and Mark will hook you up with some bomb Greek food. This place is a treasure.

Wow! Amazing food. There were 3 of us and we tried the chicken and pork souvlaki along with a beef gyro along with fries, greek potatoes and greek salad. We all shared and every food item was absolutely amazing and staff were incredible. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

Simply a hidden gem. This is one of those tiny places hidden in an ally, as if you would be rewarded for finding them. The food was authentic, the staff were friendly, the food tasted amazing, and the portions are shockingly generous. The big picture frame of the four grandpas made the place feel even more warm and cozy. The background music was gentle. I couldn't complain even if I tried to find something against them.

We ordered from here based on the majority glowing reviews. I think the negative comments complaining about a change of ownership are the ones you need to trust. The Greek potatoes are just boiled unpeeled potatoes with no seasoning. Everything is just bland. Huge portions don't really make up for the lack of any kind of seasoning. This is somehow worse than cafeteria food. I gave two stars instead of one because it was at least fully cooked.

Went here for the first time today. We ordered the lamb burger and pork souvlaki, and both were delicious! The servers were so kind, welcoming, and attentive. We were instantly greeted when we walked in the door, and they made us feel that they were happy we were there. It was a great experience, and we'll definitely be back!

The value is excellent!! Portions are very generous and the food was comforting & tasty, (I had never had spiro sauce before & seriously underestimated how much I was going to like it) and the instructions were followed perfectly. The desserts are delicious as well.. I'm not usually a fan of chocolate cake, but I found myself devouring an entire slice of their Cookie's & Cream cake in one sitting.
