Stayed at Riad Viva, for 4 nights. Excellent service from the start- organising a taxi to collect us from the airport, also greeting us on the street at 2am as we got a late flight in. The small alleyways down to the Riad would seem very intimidating on your first visit to Marrakesh(although very safe we learnt)so it was great to get met on the street. Very traditional clean Riad ,full of character. Although it may not be a ‘5star’ establishment. Everything taken into account- Value for money Service(organising taxis, excursions & booking restaurants for us) Location-short walk from everywhere but quiet at night And just how everyone who worked at viva riad made us feel, its absolutely 5* to us. Special shout out to Redone & the manager lady for always being very helpful.

i had a very pleasant stay at Riad Viva. everything was perfect. the location, the room, the architecture, the food, the service and the staff are the best. many attractions in marrakech are just in walking distance. and you can get them all with a very affordable price. very recommended to give it a try and spend some time at Riad Viva!

I stayed here back in June of 2016 and I still remember it fondly. Located in the alleyway close to the main Street you'd feel a bit on edge walking through on night I understand. And whilst you can't guarantee safety anywhere this area is a residential area. The riad itself is beautiful and very calming to be around and the rooms are large and decorated in a traditional morrocan design. The jacuzzi upstairs is nice to chill in the baking sun. Staff are fantastic and really do help you when you need it. Highly recommend this place!

Terrible Service and Inconsiderate Staff at Riad Viva I recently had a truly horrendous experience with Hotel Viva and one of their staff members, “SAÏD”. As an agency representative, it is my responsibility to ensure the smooth and hassle-free arrival of my clients. However, when I called the Riad to request assistance for our late-night arrival, SAÏD's rude and dismissive behavior left me appalled. Despite explaining the situation clearly, Said outright refused to send anyone to meet us where the car would stop, citing the Riad's inconvenient location in narrow streets. I emphasized the importance of collaboration between our agency and the hotel to ensure a high-quality service for the clients. Shockingly, SAÏD showed a complete lack of concern and made it abundantly clear that he cared little about the hotel's reputation or assisting guests. His callous response left me with no choice but to attempt to navigate the maze-like streets myself while accompanying the clients. We got lost multiple times, wasting valuable time and causing unnecessary frustration. Thankfully, I was there to provide assistance, but the thought of the clients being left to fend for themselves at 2 am is unimaginable. This incident reflects a complete disregard for customer service and basic hospitality. Riads are supposed to provide a safe and welcoming environment for their guests, regardless of the time of day. SAÏD’s unhelpful attitude and the Riad’s unwillingness to assist clients in finding their way are deeply disappointing and unacceptable. I strongly advise against choosing Riad Viva for your accommodation needs. The lack of consideration, unprofessionalism, and indifference demonstrated by SAÏD and the Riad’s policies make for an incredibly unpleasant experience. A Riad that fails to prioritize the safety and convenience of its guests, especially during late-night arrivals, does not deserve your patronage. In conclusion, the abysmal service provided by SAÏD and the overall attitude of Riad Viva have left me deeply dissatisfied. It is my hope that my review serves as a warning to others, urging them to choose alternative accommodations that prioritize customer satisfaction and deliver the level of service one expects from a reputable establishment.

Riad Viva is a little paradise in Marrakech! Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful clean rooms and a wonderful rooftop terrace with a small paddling pool. Only a short walk from the bustling Jemaa el-Fna and Koutoubia mosque. Make sure you arrange a transfer from the airport. Very reasonable prices.

We had a very warm welcome from Redooune. A lovely room. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt at home from the minuite we arrived. We ordered a meal on the first night and it was delicious. You do have to walk down a narrow alleyway to get to the Riad. But people were very friendly and directed us. I would definitely recommend this Riad. Thank you Redooune for making our break in Marrakesh magnificent xx

Nice place and location Attention there’s no parking and you need to leave the car somewhere outside the alleyway going to the riad However for the service quality and room size, even with a supplementary bed, the price was excessive in my opinion

Very comfortable room, staff were lovely and very indulgent of our toddler as well. We had the best chicken tagine here out of many we tried in Morocco. Would stay again.

Brilliant stay at Riad Viva! Immaculately clean; well-apppiointed and a peaceful haven from the busy Medina. Redone in particular was very helpful in making the stay pleasant ; gave detailed advice where he could. Nothing was too much trouble. The other staff were also excellent. Would definitely recommend to anybody seeking a comfortable stay in Marrakech!

Felt like lambs being lead to the slaughter on the way here at night down dark alleys with men on corners. Open the door to here and you will find yourself being proved to never judge a book by it's cover! Wonderful staff and just beautiful. Staff member didn't have a European adapter and he gave me his own for his phone! They do excursions and all the literacy is in English. Better than any spanish, Greek or Turkish place I've ever been. Superb

Excellent service within wonderful surroundings. The Riad is located in the old town and is slightly off the beaten track tucked away in the shadow of the Mamounia Hotel. The rooms are well kept and the decor in keeping with the expectations of decorative stucco and ornate rugs. The staff are helpful, attentive and friendly. The location allows for walkable access to the old town (souks, kasbah etc) as well as easy access to the new town. Excellent and would highly recommend.

Comfortable and beautiful rooms. Staff was outstanding. Dinner was tasty but not worth the money unless you want to stay in. It was a bit of a walk to get anywhere. I would go back.

Called ahead to see if I could check in late after a delayed flight, was told it would be fine. Very nervous walking down the back alleys at 2am, but when I got to the spot there was no sign, no door open, no way to check in. Had to find another place to stay. A shame.

Comfortable rooms, really quiet and safe location. The staff was so helpful and friendly ! The host Redone showed me a map of all of the souks (markets) and told us where to buy certain items and what we should pay for them. This was extremely helpful because the markets can be very overwhelming and bargaining/ knowing you are getting fair prices as a foreigner. Breakfast was good and we had tea upstairs on the terrace in the evenings.

👍 I had breakfast, lunch and dinner here a few times and the food's quite good and well priced. The wait staff is attentive and polite. I did not give it five stars because the bathroom attendant tries to cheat you out of money to use the toilet.
