As much as I love this place, there have just been too many times I've came there when it wasn't all that busy, but ended up waiting an annoyingly long amount of time (45-60 minutes) for food. I know that they're busy with other people, takeout orders, and online orders, but I feel like if I'm waiting for nearly an hour or longer when I'm only ordering for 1 person, it seems like my order might have been forgotten or something. Maybe not, just it gives that perception off. I would say, be careful when coming here and plan your time out accordingly. You might think you can have walk in, have lunch, and be gone within an hour, but then, it might take an hour just to get your food. I will return still, because I love the food, but I am cautious when I go.

My husband and I went there for dinner on a Monday around 7:45pm. It was poppin and for good reason! We ordered at a kiosk and they called out our order when it was ready. We got: Seafood Pad Thai, 2 sprites, Veggie Bun, and a medium Seafood Pho all for about $35. The portions were huge. The medium Pho was enough for 3 meals and the Pad Thai, 2. All of it was delicious and well presented. The staff was really sweat and quick to get out the orders even with a lot of people. I definitely recommend going!

Great place, but sometimes the wait takes a while. The food quality is amazing and this small restaurant is a really nice place. I love the authenticity of it! Overall it was a great experience.

The experience felt like ordering takeout but deciding to eat your meal inside the restaurant. The only time you interact with the staff is when they call your number to get your food. I enjoyed the Pho as it was steaming hot and had fresh ingredients. However, the Pad Thai had a little too much sauce and was spicier than expected. I would say that Café Vie is a jack of all trades, but master of none.

My son kept telling me we shout eat here because his friends kept talking about it. Let me tell you. We were not disappointed. So easy to order and many options to choose from. I got the spicy pork bun with the crab Rangoon and it was great. Excellent meal presentation and the portions are very generous. Definitely going to come back.

A smaller hidden gem for pho and other Vietnamese/Korean/Thai dishes. Always love going here when I'm in the area. Orders can be entered on the touch screens or at the register. They'll call the number on your receipt when it's time to pick up your food so you can grab it (usually on a tray) and bring it back to your seat. This time I got a pork steamed bun, chicken pad thai, and taro boba tea. The bun was perfectly steamed and very flavorful. Some folks may not know, but Vietnamese steamed pork buns come with a quail egg inside, which is absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend. Pad thai was pretty good, the chicken was a bit dry but the sauce made up for that once I mixed the chicken around a bit. The taro boba is my favorite kind on the menu if I'm being honest. Responses will vary but to me it always tastes like sweet potato with a bit of maple syrup. Just sweet enough. Definitely recommend stopping here if you get a chance.

They used same plastic bag for togo noodle!!! When I called, owner didn’t understand what was wrong. Cleanliness is questionable 😨

Joined a friend for lunch. We both had pho. She had chicken i had beef. Loved it. It was a bone broth with noodles and meat. On the side they price bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, cilantro and lime to add to your pho. A giant bowl i couldn’t finish was only 12.99. I’ll definitely be going back for bulgogi bc they have Korean, Vietnamese & other Asian dishes as well as boba/bubble drinks that my kids are crazy for.

I was so grateful to a friend of mine who brought me here yesterday. I was in my home town in Palawan, Philippines eating this Beef Pho. I just forgot to take a photos when I was there. We also ordered vegetable spring rolls, chicken wings( forgot the name of the dish but it was so delicious) and crab ring goo - I hope the name is right hehe. I was so so happy while eating there. So, if you are Asian or craving for any Asian foods, I highly recommend Cafe Vie. Our order was served the way we expected it. Clean and staffs were very friendly. I only have one side comment, I take out a Large Beef Pho but I hope they put a little bit more soup in the container(or maybe little bit bigger container to accommodate more soup. I say this, because I really love the soup of it so I was kinda short when I have it home. Overall, I gave them 5 Star reviews.

This place is a gem! The medium bowls of pho are large enough to take home leftovers. The broth is rich and soothing. Service is fast, because you order at kiosks. Be prepared to bus your own table.

The Pho was extremely good with the broth very flavorful. The pork bun was just okay, won't order it again. I would recommend for the pho and I'll be back to try other dishes.

The food was really good, there was a very authentic feel to the place. The red bean bao bun was out favourite, it was so perfectly sweet and creamy and the bun was nice and fluffy. The Japanese beef curry was good but I think I’ve made tastier versions at home. The beef, potatoes and carrots were perfectly cooked though and the entrees came with complimentary miso soup. We dined in and we’re served in styrofoam cups and containers which felt very wasteful. I hope the switch to proper cutlery for dine in or do a biodegradable option. Would love to come back and try more Korean centric dishes and their boba tea next. Edit: definitely try the spicy seafood Jjampong soup, the broth is killer but there was a bit too much cabbage and not enough shrimp in there. But be warned, it’s enough to feed a family of like 4 adults!! Seriously so huge and I had to ask for a takeaway container.

Amazing food!!! I mean I’ve come here so many times and it never disappoints. You want good pho. Come here. And I love All their side dishes as well!! Clean and friendly staff. You can tell they care a lot about their customers.

Chicken pho was great. Heads up, though: if you order takeout, they give you enough veggies on the side to start your own garden. (Pictured: medium chicken pho, to go)

The Spicy Pork Bun noodles looked spectacular but was beyond bland. I liked that it came with miso, pickled radish, and kim chi, but none of that helped mitigate the lack of flavor. Also, the "Fresh Spring Rolls" are actually filled with imitation crab meat. The small grainy pic on the kiosk menu made it seem like shrimp...what a scam. And they're served with a sweet & spicy sauce, which only works flavor-wise with egg rolls, not Vietnamese spring rolls.

This is the best Pho spot around. I’ve tried so many other restaurants but cafe vie is the best by far. The serving sizes are huge which I love, the broth is fantastic, and the toppings are fresh. They always have a good amount of protein in the bowl as well. Beef and seafood pho are my favorites. I wish they were open earlier because I would eat it for breakfast if I could!

I love this place and try to go here often, this is the beef bulgogi and miso soup. Highly recommend and not too expensive. Always very clean and good service

We were looking for authentic pho place and stumbled across this restaurant. Pho flavor is amazing (very authentic). If you are ever in need a good bowl of pho, stop by, very flavorful. My kid want to add: “service is super fast”

I’ve been coming here for many years and I absolutely love it. The food is amazing and so are the portions! I also love the fact it’s surrounded by other local Asian business’s. It’s fun to come eat, go to the Korean bakery and shop at the Asian market!

Quality keeps going downhill, on top of notoriously long wait times. Went in yesterday to order a beef pho and kimbap to-go and was unimpressed so much I likely won’t go back. I ordered on the kiosk, went shopping next door for 15-20, came back and still had to wait another 5 even though it didn’t seem busy. The quality of the kimbap was very poor. The rice was mushy (see photo) and vegetables/fillings underseasoned. The pho was good, though 1/3 of the herbs were brown and wilted when I opened it at home but that could be due the heat from the meat. I used to love this place, but sadly times change.

First time here and was a quick easy way to order to go. They have kiosks where you go and order either for dine in or take out. Process was easy to look at what I wanted and order to go. They called my number and had utensils and napkins in the bag already. Food was good and more than enough for a serving. Ordered the spicy pork meal and it came with soup, kimchi, and picked radish.

The pho used to be really good, but for the last 3 times I went the broth was so sugary sweet. If they can cut down or not put in the sugar rocks to sweeten the broth then it would have been perfect.

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Overland Park. Big portion, hearty soup and a simple order first then sit down type of place. Perfect for my 1 hour lunch time. Food comes out quickly and they also have Japanese curry and Korean options.

👍👍 Recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Q39 South. We ordered two combination plates with ribs and brisket, but different sides (pictured). The ribs and brisket were fantastic. Excellent rub, cut, and bbq sauce! Our sides—Mac and cheese, fries, and baked beans—were also really good. The Mac and chees...
