Love the experience. The food is good. Wish we had multiple grills on our table for 6, had to stay dependent on the person close to the grill.

One of my favorite restaurants! 🌏 Fresh food especially 🦞 🌊 seafood, 🥩 steaks, and 🐖 pig. The combo on the grill is perfection after a busy morning or afternoon. Spend the extra at lunch and have leftovers! Friendly staff and fun atmosphere.

Google got me with this one. It was somewhat authentic but wasn’t tasty to be honest. We ordered C3 combo BBQ and meats were cheap so it wasn’t tasty. Our server said they could bring pork belly “spicy” and just brought Gochujang on the side and called it “spicy”…🙄 Absolutely disappointed with food quality & I was sad I didn’t see a Korean server while we were there. We would’ve gone to other places like KPOT if we knew about the meat quality. Can’t recommend this one.😖

This restaurant is for casual dining, has friendly and attentive staff. We ordered meat combo (c5) that contained a mix of marinated and seasoned pork cuts. Meat was fresh, tender and full of flavor from the marinade. Bbq’ing was a nice experience. Definitely going back here!

As my first ever visit to a Korean BBQ, I was very impressed! I admit that my #FoodieBuddy went crazy and ordered WAY too much food, but every dish I tried, I enjoyed. The seasoned meats were the most delicious thing I tried (ribeye and pork shoulder). I loved cooking my own meat on the grill. The Haemul Pajeon was really good. I did not expect it to be that good. Shout out to the waitress who recommended it! My #FoodieBuddy went crazy over the Mul Naengmyeon and we both enjoyed the steamed egg. This is an expensive place, but it is more than a meal.....it's an experience! #KCFoodie #CulinaryAdventures #ExploreYourCity #OverlandParkKS #Recommended

We LOVE this place!! We come at least once a month, yes it’s a little more then a normal out to dinner meal but it’s a whole activity too. Definitely recommend watching or researching how to cook Korean BBQ before your first visit. We love this bbq place more then others around town because of the awesome staff and quality of meats!

We love this place! Food quality is excellent and portions are good. The spicy pork shoulder is my favorite while my BF loves the pork belly. The little side dishes are very tasty and add a nice flavor. 😋 Staff is friendly and the service is very good. I suggest you should try it!

Chosun Korean BBQ on Metcalf. We decided to order off the menu this time, instead of BBQ. We tried the Bibimbap, which is steamed rice topped with a variety of fresh seasoned vegetables beef, and topped with a deliciously pan fried egg. We also got the Gun Man Du, or Pan fried dumplings, stuffed with minced beef, pork, cabbage, chives and tofu served with seasoned soy sauce. Everything was delicious, and the service was fantastic.

We visited with a party of 5 on a Monday night. I ordered the Jumuluk...big mistake. This is, hands down, the absolute worst piece of meat I have ever been served at a restaurant. The menu stated that this was tender cuts of ribeye in a seasoned sesame sauce. Everyone expects ribeye to be well-marbeled. This was simply inedible - it was 75% fat cap, and filled with silver skin, cartilage, and bone fragments. We brought it to the server's attention, who stated that it was supposed to be that way, and he had the same dish 3 days before and it was fine. The service was overall lacking in personality and attention. The Korean friend we were with was equally disappointed, and embarrassed to have suggested ChoSun. An all-around poor experience.

This has always been my go-to place for Korean bbq in Kansas City, and I've been coming in since my time in South Korea. The bulgogi is very tender and the anju they serve with bbq is very spot-on, and delicious too. The service is good as well - very attentive and available to help if you're new to Korean bbq and the ordering/cooking processes. Excited to try their second location when I move since it'll be closer to home.

Food is fine. Not so bad. Good customer service. It’s just they don’t serve everything like the usual typical Korean BBQ unless u ask for it.. Like the whole lettuce not just the salad, garlic and pepper to grilled not serve until we ask for it. So it’s kinda weird especially us who have been in Korea and been eating these foods many times.

I have never had Korean bbq. I also have never cooked my own food at a restaurant. It was such a fun and unique experience. The food was great quality. Got a huge variety platter. The staff was super friendly and if not busy will help you cook your food. I’ll try it again sometime

Had a taste for Korean BBQ, and this place did not disappoint. We got one of the meat combos that had a nice selection and variety of beef. Staff was super friendly and accommodating when asking for additional servings. Would highly recommend if looking for Korean BBQ.

Top choice for Korean BBQ and one of my favorite places in Overland Park overall. Flavors are always so good and fresh off the grill. Service has always been extremely helpful and attentive and can answer any question you have about the menu. On all my previous visits I have ordered the standard Bulgogi, which is always great and if you aren't sure what to get, this is always a safe and delicious choice. This last visit we ordered: B9: Jumuluk (sliced beef ribeye seasoned and lightly marinated in sesame oil) and B13: Haemul-Gui (assorted seafood: lobster tail, scallop, shrimp, squid, and vegetables in special house sauce). Everything was fresh and smelled amazing as it cooked up on the grill. I would highly recommend this restaurant. As usual, you can always be entertained by the TV showing the constant stream of K-Pop music vids :)

Great place! Cook your own meat!! Staff was very friendly. Everything looked clean. Thin sliced brisket was my favorite! Kids liked cooking their own meat. Clean plates! LOVED the fried dumplings and the dumpling sauce!!

Have a mixed feeling about this place hence the 4 stars. I didn't do the BBQ portion so I cannot comment on the quality of that. But by the look of the people who were doing the BBQ while I was there, it seems to be pretty good. I ordered 3 dishes as a la carte and sit at regular table. I ordered a fried dumplings, a beef soup with tendon, and a glass noodle with beef. I would say the portion is definitely on the smaller side. The fried dumplings were ok, the beef soup with tendon was good, but the portion is too small to be full. The glass noodle dish was not good. It was extremely greasy and I can't eat more than 2 bites without drinking a lot of water to wash it down. If I am not going to do BBQ, I probably won't come back here.

Had always wanted to try Korean BBQ after watching many a K drama , but never got around to it. Tried it for the first time tonight with my Girlfriend on valentine's day and it was amazing. If you get it you also have to get some Soju it's a must for Korean BBQ. We got the Tier 4 (c4) special which serves 2 people , and it was plenty of food for us.

Everything was wonderful!! The food was outstanding, just as I remembered. (photos show meal ordered, C4) The boiled potato side dish is so amazing, and the leftover sauce is great for the meat! I live that they let you cook it yourself and all the sides are included in the combo meal. Be ready to spend a good $80 for two, to get a good authentic BBQ! It's worth it I promise!

We were excited to try it out. Except walking in on a Saturday and seeing that there was only one table sat in the entire place was our first indication maybe we shouldn't try it, but we did. Table was left extremely greasy. The server was 'nice' but very short and not accommodating even being aware it was our first time she had zero recommendations and stated that 1 plate of meat was 1 serving, but actually 1 plate served more like 4 people. We ordered some fried shrimp as an appetizer and both of us were almost 100% sure it was precooked and fried and frozen butterfly shrimp just like you by for 3 bucks in the freezer isle. It was garbage. No clean extra plates to eat the meat on after cooking, no forks. The raw meat we cooked and ate less than 1 piece of, it was not appetizing and lacked flavor. Highly dissatisfied, my friend still paid for everything although we didn't eat hardly any of it. They offered to cook the food for us and make it Togo but we had no appetite for anything they'd served us.

I haven't been so amused with a restaurant before in my life. I think I had the best experience of Korean Food. It was so awesome that I can come back again and again. One of the best restaurants that I have tried. What an authentic Korean Cuisine. The staffs were so friendly and very accommodating. They were very attentive in every detail that I gave them. They respect privacy of every customer. Very cozy and the food will never disappoint you. The place is very clean and follow health standards, since it's pandemic. The overall service was excellent. I am a very satisfied customer and I will recommend this to all of my friends. So, what are you waiting for? Let's dig in.

The staff were very friendly. We got combo 4 for BBQ and we had to cook about 1/3 to take home. So I'd say it would definitely feed 3 if you're not feeding a teenager with a hollow leg haha. The banchan was very good. The kimchi was not a super spicy so my husband who has had to work up his spice tolerance could eat it. It wasn't as pungent as kimchi I've eaten in Korea, but still very delicious and if you're on the fence or take it or leave it about Kimchi I think you might find you like this one. The fishcakes and cucumber are my favorite sides. I could eat bowl after bowl. The cucumber was sweet and spicy but not too spicy. The fishcake marinade makes them not very fishy and I love the texture. The toppoki has a fishier fish cake, but also good. Lastly, we got the mandu which was delicious with or without the sauce. This was a little taste of Korea I've been missing. I only have a tourists experience with Korean food, but for my taste buds I almost was back there. Will def make this our new date night spot. My only gripe is no duck that I could find on the menu and I didn't ask.

This place is fun! You can cook your own meat on the brazier right at the table and if you like Korean food, then you'll enjoy their selection. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the quality of the meat is excellent and you really do get what you pay for. The staff is extremely nice and attentive as well. It's an all around great experience eating here.

Food is fresh. And it's fun to bring someone there for the first time. They could improve on service. Sides needs to be replaced often wrapping meat is a Mail stay most only eat what's given to them. Staff should be checking tables for what patrons need. Oh remember to cut your meat from the bottom.

This place keeps getting better and better. I think it's the best Korean food in town and I've tried all of them. The only thing that I wish for is a better mixture of Banchan side dishes. Great place to take your family and some of the young folk probably will enjoy the 24 hour KPOP videos that plays on the screen.

The staff were kind. They served us quickly. The quality of food was okay. The restaurant itself just didn't seem very sanitary. The table was greasy. Paint was peeling off my chair. I wouldn't feel comfortable going back.

I enjoyed the experience. There is a grill right on the table. You can cook yourself or they will cooked your food for you at your table. The server was very attentive.

👍👍 Recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Q39 South. We ordered two combination plates with ribs and brisket, but different sides (pictured). The ribs and brisket were fantastic.
