I guess I had my worst lodging experience at Suncliff Hotel, Owerri. Upon arrival, at about 9:30 a.m., the reception area was terribly hot. I chose to ignore and give the benefit of l doubt, not knowing that was what I was going to suffer even in the rooms. The entire hallway smelt strongly of weed for a hotel with a "no smoking" policy. Even the room I was given had a stale smell, and the air conditioner wasn't even working well. The restaurant was too slow in response to orders. I ordered breakfast at about 7:20 am. and was told it would be ready in 20-30 minutes, but eventually got it at 8:40 am. The restaurant was short of raw food to make us our desired breakfast when we had barely ordered, and it wasn't nice. One of the staff in the restaurant was damn rude to a customer who asked her about other options they had and was too impatient to communicate properly. Customer service is -100%. I called the restaurant, and the last staff member who responded was rude and lied too. Not until I confronted her with the truth, and then she ended up speaking rudely to me. I thought I had seen it all and decided to chill at the pool and was greeted by another very rude staff. Well, what can I say? This hotel seems to have terrible management, but I hope this review helps you all improve.

Terrible! That’s the word. First they show you the “better room” to convince you, then try to switch you rooms when you pay. The hallway stinks and is dark. The rooms looks dirty and they’ve been cleaned. Showers are rusty pipes hanging on the wall. This hotel is beyond whatever the staff can fix. It needs renovation.

Hotel was okay, and pretty affordable. I will recommend.

Clean and affordable hotel. Very basic in terms of amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Eating in the restaurant is quite expensive and the foods are often salty.

Nice hotel..though I'm wondering why they dont serve complimentary breakfasts at these rates they charge unlike other hotels of similar standards. Because of this, I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5.

Every hotel needs a Nestor. A remarkable young man who ensured my stay was comfortable. Hotel could do better ref infrastructure and maintenance.

Worst experience I ever had in any hotel. First, the customer service guys are so rude and unprofessional. The services offered were too poor though good facilities. Reception is too busy and noisy with many fierce looking guys. The POS debited me on 16th February 2023, they claimed not successful and I made a transfer instead. I went to my bank and they confirmed the payment was successful and issued a credit alert received by the hotel. Till date they have refused to refund my money despite several attempts.

Great facility. Although they couldn't repair the lights throughout the stay
