We asked about the best dessert in the menu and without any single thought waiter said Molten Lava. And I am glad we ordered it. Molten lave cake served with vanilla ice cream was a treat. It was so Delicious. Other than dessert we ordered Karak Chai. It was served karak and was Mazayadar, they also served us complementary biscuits. The ambiance the views everything was perfect. Staff behavior, serving, everything was good. Overall it was a nice little experience.

It was my first time ever coming here as I’m from Canada. I could say the menu was very modernized and classy, but that would not be enough. After several visits to this restaurant, I can't really say for sure how it is. The environment is a 10/10 obviously it's situated on the margalla hills which makes it suitable to visit at any time of the year. The buffet is really a hit or miss. At some days it tastes really good but sometimes it's really bland with no spices. The live station BBQ is amazing. Overall 8/10 , it's a place I'd go to every now and then but not too often.

The view from La Montana is really good. Plus they have live singing as well at times. The food is good (but not great) but you can have a really nice time with friends and family.

Updated Review (visited 1st January 2022, Booking Number 152, Dinner Buffet 9pm to 11pm): After the last visit with friends, took my family to enjoy the same Buffet, however I was surprised over the mismanagement. I planned this properly and took the time to make reservation by calling them for booking for 6 people. However, upon arriving I noticed that they were overbooked and there was no space available at their regular buffet dinning area. They took us to the hall above and seated us there. When I asked about the Live Food, they showed me the small door where they had set up some part of live cooking (Limited items in BBQ) and in that small area they set up everything (being managed by only 3 people). No complaints about the staff, but the management did a poor job to allocate smaller number of people than required to make items like jalebi, poori, naan and bbq. Every time you wanted something, they would start making that and take quiet some time to give you your desired food. Other live cooking items like chapli kabab, shami burger, chiken karahi etc. were missing. If required, someone from the waiters would go to actual buffet area downstairs and fetch it for you after 10 minutes. The other downside of this make shift setup was that the 2nd half adjacent to our seating area was booked and some students were partying there... that pretty much ruined the dinner as a whole as VERY LOUD Music kept playing throughout the time. I would request the management to book only people that you can entertain... and if you book a reservation, actually book the table for that booking instead of allowing everyone to barge in and then have no space for someone who actually wanted to have a good time with their family. YOU GUYS BLEW YOUR IMAGE BIG TIME. WILL THINK SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE REVISITING A SETUP SO MISMANAGED !!! Old Review: This restaurant offers great food along with a complete view of Islamabad and some view of Rawalpindi (if you have clear visibility and good eyesight) with some elegant ambiance in competitive price. Quite impressed with La Montana as I visited now in June 2022 after a gap of few years. I found the food, service, seating and ambience with par of other equal star restaurants. We were sitting away from the front view and as soon as the table was free, we were asked by the waiter if we wanted to move to the front & we did as that was a better view.

Tried their Sunday buffet of 1500 Rs / person. Only mutton paye, Kebabs were worth the deal. Rest of the things like nihari was not good at all, meat was not cleaned and still had fat chunks attached to it. In dessert on Jelly was good alongwith custard, rest of the dishes were not worth it. I would recommend them to lower the number of dishes and focus on quality more.

This was my third experience at La Montana restaurant. I visited here after about two years and noticed a great improvement in food taste and ambiance. It is now more spacious with multiple terraces. Free car parking is available with apparently alert guards. Live Rabab music is great addition. Little play area was there for fun time of children. We had a buffet lunch. Food was awesome. Of course live view of Islamabad city from top is a great memorable experience.

First of all, too much soda in the food which makes you feel super thirsty after a couple of hours. Now coming to the taste, it was good for some items like bbq, beef pulao, kabab karahi, paye and beef haleem. Few items like fish, dahi bahaly, channa chat, vegetable chow mein was very average. Nans were hard and not fresh at all. The desserts were average too. Brownies were fresh though. Overall, it was a good experience in the price you pay, i.e. is 1700 plus tax. We visited the place on a Saturday night and it was house full. Incredible views and buffet dinner 1000rs plus tax. The variety of food was splendid and the atmosphere was buzzing. In the voting cold of Marhalla hills the piping hot food served from live food stations was an absolute thrill. I loved the mutton paye and haleem with authentic daigi taste served in matkas. I enjoyed getting served freshly fried puris and jalebi. The live bbq served right off the skewers was also amazing. The desserts deserve an honorable mention for being subtle in sweetness and high in flavour. The shahid tukray, bread pudding,kheer were all light and not heavy on stomach or taste palette. Pastries were just so so. This place is value for money.Amazing food and location and ambience. definitely worth a visit.

had a wonderful brunch last year . beautiful location and very well mannered staff. if you want to have a delicious brunch, lunch and dinner you can gear up and travel to pir suhava.
