We checked in at Can Bordoy and we had booked one of their Deluxe Suite. We were welcomed and greeted nicely. They asked if we wanted the welcome drink at the bar or in our room. We answered our room. They took our credit card and our ID documents and kept them and said that they would come right back with our documents. What is important to note is that you are never allowed to take a customer's credit card and keep it. We were shown to the room. No question what we wanted to drink. They would also confirm when we could have our table in the restaurant, we said we would like to have dinner late, at 9.30 pm. No feedback. The hotel room has a nice design but everything feels low budget. Cheap materials that they try to look elegant. We got a room on the street level. Far from any view as it says in the description. The windows are so poorly insulated that we could hear every single person passing by talking. We could even hear those who had the room above us. Later, when we asked when we could get a table, the same person looked at us in surprise as if it was the first time they had heard the question. Probably due to stress. We went to the restaurant and we had ordered a menu for 75 Euro per person which consisted of us being able to choose four dishes from their menu. Everything was good. What surprised me, however, was that in a five-star hotel they did not change plate or cutlery once, despite the fact that it was both fish, meat and various sauces. The next morning it was time for breakfast and we were repeatedly reminded that we wanted more bread, one more coffee. We then gave up and checked out of the hotel. We understand that it is a pandemic and that it has been difficult to run the hotel during this year, but at the same time the five stars commit to being able to maintain a certain level of both service and the hotel. My feeling persists since I was there and ate dinner a couple of years ago that they are unable to deliver an accepting level. I must also say that the staff were always nice but my feeling is that they are understaffed. That's right, the welcome drink, we got it after we asked when we got our table for dinner.

Centred in old town, surrounded by great restaurants, bars, shopping and a stones throw from the water. A quiet and luxurious spot staffed by some of the friendliest and most helpful humans you will ever meet. They are always available and hospitable for any request. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone! Bonus note - we had brought back some salami to the hotel room, but had no means of slicing it ourselves. Attached are the pictures of what they did for us. (Both times)

Classy & elegant hotel! We really enjoyed staying at Can Bordoy Grand House. This place is lovely and characteristic. The location is perfect. Lovely garden, chic & romantic interior, super warm and professional service, every corner of the hotel is touched greatly. The room was spacious and the bath with the beautiful window was so relaxing. We had a car tire problem when we arrived at the hotel but the staff helped us so smoothly. Thanks Miguel! I appreciate to their super helpful service. I def would recommend Can Bordoy to my friends ;)

The stay was absolutely fantastic! Great hotel with a very unique mix of luxury and tradition. Add to this amazing staff, with an overwhelming kindness and the desire to make your stay special. Their conceriege service can compete with the best in the world. Living in Dubai I am pretty spoiled with amazing 5+ and even 7 star hotels but Can Bordoy can hold up their candle! A must book experience! Thank you very much

I went there for breakfast as an external guest cause my host recommend it to me. The garden is beautiful&peaceful: full of extraordinary (local) art and furniture. All the staff is very friendly and kind 100%, which is the first impression and the most important over all! Breakfast was perfect: amazing taste and prices too… I thought it’s much more expensive. My eggs were around 8€, pancakes 5€?! Only one thing could have been better/more: my tiny sip of orange juice was 6€ :) …. But anyways: amazing start into another lovely day! Gracias!

Amazing hotel! Truly worth the price! I love everything here! Stayed at Junior Suite which is 2 pieces. Gorgeous decor and room is very stylish with lots of details like fridge with radio, bath tab on a second floor etc! Staff is very welcoming and helpful! :) Fresh flowers all over the hotel! Beautiful terrace and garden with the pool!

The Hotel is so beautiful and cozy. The location is Perfect. The front Desk staff is the epitome of professionalism. From booking reservations at the most sought after restaurants, arranging tours and simply smiling and constantly asking you if they can be of help made the stay so memorable and special. The spa services are amazing and the staff incredibly talented and accommodating. The restaurant has a delicious menu of plant base food and the service is impeccable. Please visit the roof top pool and sunbathe to beautiful views of Palma while listening to the most amazing playlist and savoring delicious drinks and snacks. We will definitely be back to Con Bordoy! Mrs. Borges

I so enjoyed our stay at Can Bordoy. We went with our teenaged son and the room was very spacious and comfortable for our stay. The staff were courteous and extremely helpful and the location of the hotel is superb—walking distance to some amazing restaurants and shops—in the heart of the old town. All of those things said, the hotel is amazing, but what makes it truly wonderful is the attention to detail in every little thing. The hotel is restored and still maintains its rich history, while also honoring the many transformations through the years. It is meticulously decorated, with a lovely mix of more classical velvet pieces and also more modern touches, not to mention mirrored walls and ceilings throughout. It has a lovely courtyard and lovely garden plus a couple of small pools. The massage in the spa was also very good. I feel that I can’t really put words to the feeling the aesthetic provides…something cinematic and glorious while also striking the feeling of something that is lived in and has aged well. The lighting and curated music options in each room, provide those final theatrical touches. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in all of Majorca and, frankly, will miss it as we continue our vacation in some other magical cities during the next few weeks. My son’s only complaint was having to hear me say how much I love Can Bordoy throughout our stay!

We had an incredible stay at Can Bordoy!! The hotel is STUNNING - unique design and impeccable service. The front of house staff was so helpful and always went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. The little touches were everything.. when you arrived they set up the room for you with music playing in the old school music player.. we loved it! Our room was constantly being cleaned with restocked with fresh towels. there were fresh flowers in the room and little chocolate on our pillow at night. The pool areas were gorgeous -- we especially loved the one in the garden. The restaurant was DELICIOUS - we almost ate their twice and really loved the breakfast + room service. 2 things: Make sure you ask to get your car from the valet with plenty of lead up time as they are driving through the city and it can take a bit of time to get the car (no fault of the hotel). and if you get a street facing room it can be a bit loud at night .. the windows are not completely sound proof and it was a bit annoying.

Thank you for a fabulous stay! We had such a special time. The team at Can Bordoy was truly amazing. I have rarely, if not never, experienced such a superior level of service. We were staying at the hotel for a special occasion and the team made every single one of our wishes come true. The ambience is truly authentic and we can fully recommend a booking if you are searching for a superior Palma experience. Our room was one of a kind, with one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in. The breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of a la carte choices. If there would be a possibility to rate 6/5 stars this place would deserve it.

I was looking forward to celebrate my birthday at Can Bordoy with my partner and a nice dinner: It started in a way I was truly impressed with. When I wanted to make a reservation I talked to a wonderful lady, who was so professional- I was really touched. I was asked about dietary requirements and if there was something special to celebrate. I answered that it was my birthday and we were now really looking forward to our dinner. The place is beautiful in a quiet and lush garden. We were welcomed, service and food were impeccable until main course. After main course our waiter disappeared, we couldn’t get hold off anybody to order dessert nor pay the bill. It is such a pity when all starts in an great way but the experience does not end accordingly. The staff seemed to work really hard, but was unfortunately super stressed and overwhelmed by all the guests arriving after 10pm. I am not sure what happened but some consistency in service would have helped.

Gosh, where to begin? The rooms are small, over priced, and from a design perspective trying a bit too hard. When we checked in, we asked them to make a few reservations for us for dinner as well as our PCR test (which they said would be arranged at the hotel). I have to say the bed was incredibly comfortable which is why I’ll give an extra star (I was going to rate it 1). Breakfast was incredibly slow. I mean painfully slow for a tea and pastry that required no preparation. That evening we had dinner at their restaurant which was pleasant, service was good and the food was great (particularly the chicken and the tacos). They had messed up our dinner reservations at other restaurants (even though they had confirmed it with us) and we were forced to figure out something else at 8pm on a Saturday, needless to say it wasn’t easy. They also failed with our PCR tests (even though they also confirmed these) and we were forced to wait 2 hours at a nearby clinic. Overall, they seem incredibly disorganised and unhelpful. For a 5* hotel that charges the prices they do, you expect much better. This was the worst service we had in our entire stay in Mallorca. The manager tried to compensate us with a free upgrade on our return, however we definitely won’t be back. Skip the room stay, enjoy the restaurant and save yourself the disappointment.

Appalling customer service. In October last year, I wanted to book brunch for two for Saturday the 31st. The only way of doing this online was to buy a voucher which I did. Then I contacted Can Bordoy by email only to find out brunch was no longer available on Saturdays and was Sunday only now. I was busy that Sunday, but didn’t mind as I planned on using my voucher another time. I contacted them again this month, June 2021, only to be told my voucher had expired in April. I was astounded. I pointed out that it would have been impossible to use my voucher during this time because of COVID restrictions, and also because of the fact Spain’s borders were closed to the UK (where I live) so I was unable to travel to Palma. Eventually, and very reluctantly, the offered me a 50% discount for lunch for two excluding drinks. I declined because at this point their dealings with me were so terrible there is no way I could enjoy lunch, brunch, or anything else for there for that matter. Such an appalling way to handle matters. Business’s all over the world have been incredibly flexible with vouchers during the pandemic. Not this one sadly.

Lovely boutique hotel right in the heart of old Palma. Attentive staff, nice gardens, and in 2 minutes you are in the heart of the town. We didn’t have breakfast nor did we eat in Botanic, the in house restaurant. Our room was a split level suite with a spiral staircase. The room had everything we needed, but was a touch worn. Also, the staircase creaked really loudly when walking on it - as a couple where one sleeps longer than the other, this was a bit problematic and led to one star being docked. But don’t let that put you off - if you choose to stay here you won’t be disappointed. Even though it was January I took advantage of the rooftop area and read my book on a lounger by the plunge pool (which after dipping my toe in I didn’t go in!)

My family and I stayed at Can Bordoy for one week. Traveling with our 6 month old, the accommodations and extra effort to make our stay comfortable was unparalleled. I can honestly say that I’ve never experienced better, more personalized service at a hotel than I did at Can Bordoy. The food was amazing, as were the spa treatments we received. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on the island of Mallorca in the future. Amazing!

A magnificent hotel. It was even better in person. Thoughtfully designed. Enjoyed the lush garden decor — it even smelled like heaven. Lovely helpful staff. It’s located in a tight alley way. A friend advised us not to have a rental car in Palma, and we were happy with this decision as parking and navigating would have been a challenge. Stick with taxis!

The staff is exceptional! Willing to help in any way. Profesional and truly felt that they loved what they do and appreciate us visiting and staying with them. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms ample and fully stocked with everything I needed. The toiletries were exceptional and I am in love with the hairdryer. I cannot say enough about the beauty of the Hotel and its location. The restaurants and beauties around the area. Love and will choose as one of the hotels for my son’s wedding to do a block for our guests. Thank you and until next time.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at! The staff is incredibly attentive, very warm and welcoming and go out of their way to make sure your stay is amazing. The garden and pool are so peaceful it was hard to leave the hotel. When we did, it was a short walk to anything we wanted to see in the city. 10 minutes to the cathedral, 5 minutes to the museum of contemporary art, and steps away from great cafes and shops. As far as good goes, the best meal we had in Palma was at Botanic, the restaurant in the hotel. There’s a great prefix menu and it’s an incredible culinary journey. I will be recommending Can Bordoy to anyone I know traveling to Mallorca, and cannot wait to come back!

We stayed here for 4 nights and it is exceptional. Room 15 makes you rethink design; it was super clever, stylish & totally relaxing. The vibe is chilled and relaxed. We would love to bring all our family and friends here to experience both the hotel and Palma.

I have nothing but superlatives for this beautiful jewel of a boutique hotel. The garden for dining is like a little Eden. The staff is charming, discrete and attentive. Our premium suite overlooking the garden was heavenly (the double shower!). And the location absolutely cannot be beat. Walking distance to shopping, the harbor, cathedral, palace and neighborhood of restaurants and bars. Thank you Can Bordoy! We will be back ❤️

Wow, this is the best boutique hotel we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived the staff were just amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful. After our welcome drinks, Joana showed us around our stunning room, explaining how all the wonderful details worked. The decor is just out of this world, the furniture is like artwork; from our bed where you can electronically choose the firmness of the mattress, to the minibar that is also a radio. It’s really the perfect mix of old world style with modern luxury. We enjoyed the views from the rooftop pool where you can order food and drinks by whatsaap. I loved that their breakfast menu lasts all day - local yogurt fruit and honey is the perfect pool side snack that I never knew I needed! The location is perfect, we walked to the harbour for a drink at sunset and found a quirky bar for dinner in the cute winding local streets. Our breakfast in the peaceful garden was included and we chose the pancakes with carob Nutella, which were delicious and not too sweet, with great coffee and an artisan buffet of beautifully prepared local treats. The Can Bordoy ethos is that they are a family and this can really be felt in the relaxed but attentive service. We can’t wait to come back.

Charming boutique hotel located in the Old Quarter, Palma’s most characterful neighbourhood. This 16th century building has had a loving restoration and renovation and is tucked away on a narrow street, just 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral. The hotel has a lush private garden complete with a heated swimming pool and the rooftop terrace provides a small plunge pool offering amazing views of the neighborhood. Underneath the hotel, it’s a true wellness sanctuary, the subterranean Spa being surrounded by original 12th century natural stone walls. The Botanic restaurant offers a healthy seasonal kitchen, all dishes being incredibly delicious. The stunning and tasteful interior, as well as the attentive and friendly staff are some of the standout features of this hotel.

We have been staying here for 5 days. We also took dinner in the restaurant. Very beautiful palace. Nice and atypical rooms. The plant based food at dinner is excellent. The service is perfect. The best place to stay and discover Palma.

Having just arrived in Palma after a stressful flight (covid stuff) we were looking forward to our reserved lunch at Botanic. Due to the extra long transit, did I mention covid, we had no time to freshen up before arrival. Our first impression was rather awkward as the well dressed (I want to say footman) was very skeptical about allowing us into his hotel. Only after convincing him that we indeed had a reservation were we allowed inside. Only to be greeted once again by skepticism. Finally being allowed to sit down the whole ambiance transformed and we experienced, in my mind at least, one of the best meals to be had in Palma. The service was excellent, staff attentive and food absolutely amazing. If you can brave the snooty greeting, go here. It is amazing.

This hotel is amazing ! I did not expect the experience to be as wonderful ! Welcoming staff, they truly care about their clients. It’s the perfect location to visit Palma, you can enjoy being in the heart of the city and a perfect exclusive hotel. Few rooms, 2 pools : for sunbathing of relaxing. I also had the chance to have a very good massage on a rainy day. Thank you for making my stay in here relaxing, calm and warm. It the king of place that you can call “home”

Can Bordoy is a brilliant hotel. We had some issues on our first night with the hot water not working in our room, but the staff (in particularly a young man named Jordi) helped us and made up for the problems. Throughout the stay the staff were very helpful, and on leaving I had one member of staff help me with translating a Spanish document from the hospital. Further to this, the food at Botánic (the residency restaurant) was unbelievable. I particularly enjoyed their Octopus Tacos and their Beetroot Dim Sum. Highly reccomend.

Fantastic location. Beautifully appointed hotel. Rooms are top notch with extremely comfy beds. Only slight moan service in bar area could be hit & miss slow & missed ordered items. Prices high so expect better. Staff were always extremely polite. Would stay again.
