The doctor was very attentive and listened during the examinations, answering all my questions and explaining the operation to me in detail as well as my surgical options depending on the thickness of my cornea. The operation was carried out a month later and lasted less than 30 minutes. The doctor and his assistants were very calm, gentle and reassuring, and I did not feel any pain or discomfort during the surgery. My vision was functional that evening with just a little dry eye for which he prescribed drops. After less than 48 hours, my vision was almost perfect. I highly recommend Dr. Chassignol as well as the SMILE operation which is the least invasive of the surgeries and whose post-operative recovery is the shortest and almost painless.

I am 100% satisfied with my operation! I had significant myopia of -8.5 and -8. I hesitated for a long time to do the procedure and I went for it and do not regret my choice in any way. The operation took place quickly and without a hitch. 10/10 in both my eyes. It changed my life. No more glasses or lenses. Thanks again to the entire team who showed remarkable efficiency. For those interested in surgery, consider asking what the odds of failure are. In my case, PKR operation for myopia failed. There was no proposal for reimbursement, even partial. Basically, the doctor offered me a repeat but I had to go abroad. I thought it would be possible for me to ask for it later. But when I contacted his office again, I was told that there was never any question of recovery, and that I would have to pay again. So insinuating that I am a liar. In short, ask the doctor what happens if the operation fails. The femtosecond laser used is a high-precision tool, which may in some cases not be set to the correct power. This, according to the doctor, does not come from me. According to him, this happens in 0.5% of cases. 1 in 200 people. The least you can do when it doesn't work is to refund it. Or to keep its promise of recovery. I didn't get either of them. So 100 euros for consultation + 800 for the operation, for zero results. Sincerely.

I am totally satisfied with my operation! Having a little myopia, but obliged to wear glasses during my sporting activities. After much research, I made the decision to have eye surgery. I found Espace Nouvelle Vision through my mutual insurance company and I was not disappointed. Once the testing appointment was made, I had an operation date two weeks later. Dr Jean-François Faure knows his job well and reassured me about my fears. Since the operation last March, I can see very well and it is a pleasure to play sports without glasses.

Excellente clinique, personnel très sympathique, à l’écoute et qui met en confiance. J’ai tres peur qu’on touche à mes yeux donc ça a été plutôt difficile pour moi, mais je suis ravi d’avoir sauté le pas et de pouvoir mettre mes lunettes à la poubelle. L’intervention en elle même est très courte, dure à peine 20 min, et est juste impressionnante, absolument aucune douleur. Très content de mon choix.

I had astigmatism surgery by Dr Faure and I am absolutely delighted with the result. The entire Espace Nouvelle Vision team took great care, was very professional and reassuring despite my stress before the procedure. I chose Dr Faure and the clinic on the recommendation of a friend, and I would recommend them myself without a second of hesitation!

I had surgery on March 1, 2023 with a PKR. So almost a year ago. The operation seems to have gone well but following it, some inconveniences remained. Focusing takes an extremely long time, especially at night. I find it difficult to read street names or street signs and am extremely easily dazzled. My eyes get tired very quickly. When contrasts are high, an aura forms around bright or illuminated objects. I can no longer look at light sources at all. Too bad I'm a lighting manager. I have blurred vision as if I were drunk, every day. I can't read my screens and my documents in the control room and then see the artists' expressions, the details of what's on stage. I'm perhaps taking a risk writing in my own name here, a lighting manager who sees blurred is stupid. Bad luck happens. But what I have, Dr. Faure did not warn me that it was possible. He told me about a greater sensitivity to glare and dry eyes or, at worst, a second operation when the first is not sufficient (very rarely and only for patients with very strong myopia [-6 or less]). After several appointments, I asked him what to do, if rehabilitation was possible. He said “no, force your eyes”. For him everything is fine, just a slight white veil on the right eye which is resolving more slowly than expected. According to his observations I have 10 tenths so everything is fine. He invited me to come back and see him next year. So I was not told about these possible complications at all and no solution was offered to me.
