Do not stay here! I stayed in a private room in August. A man entered my locked room at night while I was sleeping using a key card. The next day someone came in while I was out (do not disturb sign was on the door) and went through all my belongings and stole multiple items. They seemingly have no way to see who entered the rooms or track the electronic keys used. There are also no security cameras in any stairway or hallway. I have contacted the owners (Eric Chicheportiche & Philippe Chicheportiche) the manager Myriam, the head receptionist (Claudia Osuna Villafana) multiple times. I have received no apology or explanation or communication. I had to leave the accommodation and find somewhere else to stay. Please do not stay here. It is dangerous and unsafe for both you and your belongings.

I stayed in a 6-bed dormitory which was totally fine, offering comfortable accommodations and personal lockers for security. The location was a highlight, stunningly close to the metro and Sacre Coeur, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. However, the breakfast could be better. It was limited to just croissants and baguettes; adding options like eggs would significantly improve it. Overall, the stay was enjoyable, with the location and amenities outweighing the limited breakfast options.

Highly recommended! Go without any doubt! It has free baggage locker service facility! Breakfast was so good. If you are self disciplined then it's best place for you. Top notch cleanliness. Cozy rooms, polite staff, beautiful cafeteria and in the heart of the city center, so close to the metro...so Parisian! It made our paris trip 100x better! Merci team Le Regent Montmartre!

Pros 1- Perfect Location , especially for first time traveler to PARIS. 2- Good Price 3- Good Shower and Bathrom 4- Good Breakfast ( including orange juice, coffee, croissants , cheese and baget ) Cons 1- Beds are too noisy, Because it is made of metal. I had to wake up several times. 2- No charging sockets on every bed. I found it very weird to be honest. 3- Towels 5€ Overall: Highly reccommended! Recommendation to facility; The cards for unlocking the door, keeps effected from other cards or mobile phone and it works no longer. I had to change the card twice. Maybe you can improve your cards by replacing with another type of cards.

Every Bus stop has more comfort that this "Hotel". No power supply at the beds. The reception is ok and friendly. It is not possible to prevent the sun. Conclusion: Next time I choose the seats from Bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus stop has USB power instead of the hotel. Image: Room 106 view out of the window.

I had a theft incident at this hotel and they don't even bother to take any action. The theft happened inside my room from my bag. An amount of 600 euro was stolen. The hotel doesn't even bother to respond. Stay away....

What a nightmare. We booked two private rooms at Plug-Inn months ago, and several days before our stay, we received an email saying that “due to the ongoing sanitary situation” they had to move us to 3 Ducks in another part of the city. Then, yesterday, I received an email to confirm my stay in a four bed female dorm for Le Regent Montmartre, a hostel I had not heard of until this point. I replied and pointed out that we reserved private rooms and that my husband and I could not stay in an all-female dorm in any case. They reassured me that this email had been sent in error and that I could plan to check into our private rooms as planned, but at this new location. When we arrived a few minutes before midnight, the receptionist asked us to wait “maybe five minutes” before he could check us in. He did not call me to the front of the queue for forty-five minutes after that, and then spent over half an hour attempting to check us in, only to find that the key card activation machine would not work. We continue to wait in the lobby where no one but us has a face mask on, including staff. I have already paid for a night that I am spending sitting awake with my luggage in a muggy waiting area. We have non-refundable tickets for the Louvre at 10:00 am that we plan to forfeit at this point due to sheer exhaustion and not knowing when we might get to bed. I can say that the receptionist has been very kind but absolutely no help.

I love that place!!!!! We went for two nights and everything was amazing. The room and the bed are very comfortable with private bathrooms (in my case), the view and the incredible staff. Very kind and friendly. I 100% recommend this place!!! Thank you very much 🙏🏼❤️

For 70 euros for one night in a female dorm I do get the following: - no air conditioner (it is 40 degrees) - no plug near my bed; 3 plugs for 4 people. Not even one in the bathroom. - no soap to wash hands - no propper matress (these are used) - no cleaning lady/ the bathroom in the female dorm is disgusting - it stinks (might be from the bathroom). The curtains of the shower should be changed. Positive: - staff is friendly - I get breakfast Seems that the people who run this hostel do not want the customers to feel comfortable. Is this really worth it?!

Terrible hotel and scammers. I bought a towel for 2.5 Euros, but when I realized there was no dryer, I wanted to return it. They took my towels and said they would give me the 2.5 Euros the next morning, but they never did. There are no power outlets near the beds, which is terrible for a traveler. The rooms are small and dirty, don't be fooled by the pictures.

Perfect price range for budget travelers( i stayed in mixed dorm) location is perfect close to everything and very walkable. A small grocery store is right next door with almost everything you may need. Everything is super clean and everyone is very friendly helpful. ( Ask the receptionist for directions before hitting Google maps! They are extremely knowledgeable with public transportation and shortcuts) The free breakfast is delicious with all the croissant available you can eat and tons of fresh baguette. The breakfast area is very comfortable and very clean, the lady who worked the area was very friendly and helpful. I took one star away for the very whimsical bunk beds ( i weight only about 65 kg but feared i was going to tip the beds over while climbing up). Also the shared bathroom in our room was extremely small ( about the size of an airplane lavatory). A plus was an additional shower in that small space, it prevented me from having to go into the hallway to the other shared shower. If i may suggest, maybe room 302/303 should be kept as male dorm only, they can do their "business" standing up and don't have to worry about hitting the door with their knees and nose while sitting on the toilet. :- ) Of course there are larger, more spacious bathrooms downstairs near the breakfast area.

Worst hostel ever! Not clean at all. Absolutely disgusting. Don’t even bother. They don’t give you towels, there are no lockers for the suitcases, the beds are old and the bathrooms are the worse.

It is fine for staying 1 night as a layover and the proximity to montmartre and sacré coeur is great. Staff is friendly. Common areas look nice. Rooms are not very nice. Old, smelly bathrooms (I am not overly sensitive at all and didn't want to take a shower) and beds are very noisy and you are scared to trip over if you stay on the top of the bunk bed. Also not a lot of power plugs. Overall okay for a night, but wouldn't stay longer.

Good: interesting vintage building. I've never experienced a balcony in a hostel accommodation before. Location on a main street, with a public park and lots of activity. Close by plenty of shopping and other services. I walked to a bike rental. Bad: there are only two electrical outlets in the room. Insufficient towel bars in the bathroom. I went out and bought a battery tealight to use as a nightlight in the bathroom. There was no soap by the bathroom sink. I went out and bought a pump bottle. I'm used to more modern hostels with bed curtains, charging stations, a shelf for your stuff. That old tub is very high up and there are no handrails. Staff seems very friendly and helpful. If you're assigned to room 205: that bright light is directly outside the window. The curtains don't close all the way.

Horrible experience. Shower floods the bathroom, rooms smell, small and cramped. The woman working the front desk is so rude, she followed me up to the room and accused me for not paying. Demanding to see my receipt. (It’s $30, I gladly showed her all of receipts per night) the fact that she chased me down when she was wrong and going out of her way to be rude to me was uncalled for. Each night they would say there space the following the night, then the next morning suddenly there was none. It’s like they don’t know how to run a business. Other better hostels in the area. STAY AWAY. Horrible staff.

Great location, super affordable, staff is really nice. I wish the room had air conditioning, but we opened the window and it was fine. The street below gets pretty busy at night, but if you have earplugs you’ll be fine.

I don’t often leave bad reviews but this place was pretty bad aside from the location and 24 hour check in. We arrived right after a heat wave, room is really hot, outdated, stuffy and had no fans even after asking for one. The room was probably 40celsius. Staff was rude and not helpful as well. They say breakfast included but only had croissant and a broken coffee machine, so just croissant.

I was only staying 1 night but I ended up mostly likely getting bed bugs from here. Thankfully it was only 1 night because the room/bathroom looked really old. I just avoided showering because the bathroom didn’t look very clean. only good thing really was the view and location. Other than that I would probably avoid it next time :/

Not sure I wanna say pictures are the most accurate. It was an ok place to stay. I only stayed cause I went last minute but always had my doubts. As a solo traveler I wouldn’t recommend the place cause it’s dead all day. Not environment for travelers or anything really. But the location it’s good. And around the area the party is good. You can walk to many places such louvre museum, champs Élysée, Montmartre, others. But at night you have to make sure you go left cause in the right side it’s so so scary. I was followed for a second there’s but I heard France was weird about safety so I saw it coming My room only had one plug . And it was a 4 bed room. There was only one toilet paper. Lucky me I was the only one there. The elevator wasn’t working properly. Service though, it’s incredibly good. The girl from Ecuador was SO friendly and helpful.

We only stayed for one night but we're glad it was just a short stay. Most of the locks on the doors, windows and toilets were broken and were almost falling of the doors. The bathroom one got us locked in the bathroom and didn't open for five minutes with lots of struggle due to the fact that it was falling off. The room was pretty unclean and our room only had one poweroutlet over the sink with others being broken. The cardreader on the door didn't work at times and our roommates were locked out and we had to open without knowing who was there. The bathroom were pretty unclean and didn't flush. The common bathroom was all bloody and not usable. The only positive thing was the view of sacre-coeur and nice staff. Alltogether we feelt generally unsafe!

I usually don't write reviews but I have to tell you stay away from this place. I arrived at 11pm, hella tired after a long flight. I was looking for a hostel with late check-in. but once I get there my appointment was canceled for some unknown reason. they charged me $200 and I never got it back I was left outside I came from another country and they wanted me to sleep outside this is what welcome to Paris means. this place is terrible, never book a room here. they won't help, you can’t even text them on bookingdotcom Im just disappointed I can’t lie this ruined my vacation

Nice budget hotel. We had a family room. It's small and simple but has everything you need, is clean and has a great view of Sacre Coeur. Even had a fan, which I was grateful for since it was 40C when we visited. Friendly staff. Only thing I would improve is the breakfast. Would have been nice to have just a little more selection.

Good place for young people to stay, especially for short stays. The hotel is placed well, close to Montmartre and metro stations. We had a nice room for 2 on the top floor (there's a lift). It was very hot in Paris during our stay and the rooms don't have air conditioning but we were lucky with our room. It had two opposing windows for good ventilation. The rest of our family was not so lucky with the room and suffered quite a bit. The receptionists were always friendly and quick to help. We booked breakfast on one day. It's the common Parisienne breakfast of croissants, marmalade, coffee and juice in buffet-style. If you book breakfast with your reservation, it's €6. Since we booked upon arrival, it was €9. For that price a bit underwhelming.

I'd give Le Regent Montmartre 4 stars. The common areas are quite well taken care of, although the kitchen is rather tiny. The staff are also friendly and helpful. The rooms can be quite nice since even in my "6 person room" it was separated into 3 different rooms and they all had balcony access. The bathrooms are the real pain here, only being 1.5mx3m including the shower. The bathrooms are quite old and small so it makes it hard to do much of anything successfully. Unfortunately they don't offer any activities here either. Lastly, I found the hostel to be a little out of the way from things, but it is near Gare Du Nord Station, so it isn't too bad.

I have never stayed somewhere so beautiful. The shower pressure was amazing. I would definitely stay here again. The view was spectacular and the service was amazing. The staff are so nice and I can't stress how lovely the rooms are. SO beautiful. :)

Great location and clean basic rooms as the you would expect from the type of accomodation offered. A little inflexible when booking for larger families or groups. Can get a bit rowdy depending on the patrons which obviously is a bit out of the hotels control.

great stay, the beds were comfortable although a little squeaky. the room layout in our 6 bed dorm room was rather odd, and the internal doors had all been taken off their hinges. due to the layout my group of four ended up using the toilet and shower in the hall as the remaining two occupants were able to close off their portion of the room which contained the bathroom. the kitchen was good except the microwave wasn’t working, although staff were very nice and helped us use the staff microwave instead. fabulous location in regards to metro proximity and to gare du nord. it would’ve been good to have locker space under all the beds as we just had two sets under one bunk bed instead of both. overall good hostel, would stay again but maybe in a private room

You pay 70 euros per person and get: - A way to small room with unpleasant light - A bathroom which tells me: "please do not shower" - A room that feels like a sauna - A mattress that is well worn - A very busy street which makes it very unlikely, you close your eyes and sleep through the night - A buffet breakfast that is not more than an plastic croissant and a piece of bread - A used spoon in the tray of fresh spoons ( we were one of the first to take breakfast that day) - Apart from the lady at the desk, no friendly staff - when you arrive at 4pm (they state that you can check in from 3pm). You get your key. Go upstairs. See an unfriendly cleaning lady who is mad because you are there already, send down again to wait. - website said there was parking included. But when we arrived, there was no parking, only a expensive public parking spot next to the hotel. I dont get how a place like this can get a 4 star on google. We came here due to positive reviews.

Location is amazing, the rooms are great with such a lovely Parisian view! Billy was SUCH a lovely staff member! The women on breakfast were so lovely too. I wish there was ham etc. for brekkie, but I was still quite happy with it!

  • 1/5 Fernando A. 1 year ago on Google
The day we arrived, the same day we decided to leave. We decided to throw away the 5 days we had reserved rather than staying in the place; -Bed covers had stains -Water drops leaking in the room - Toilet had stains, making it uncomfortable to even consider using - Shower the same as the toilet. The decision of leaving was taken upon the first 5 minutes of arriving to the room. Consider booking this place under your own risk, highly recommend looking for other options.

Our second visit as a family of 4 to Le Regent. Great location, 15 minute walk from the Gare de Nord, and a view of the Sacre Coeur from our room. Rooms are modern, stylish and really comfortable and staff incredibly helpful. No complaint from the kids! Just over road from a great Bouillon restaurant! Will definitely return. Thankyou for a fab long weekend visit.

One night because I Was missing visiting hostels as I love the concept. During that trip I met Luna and Larisa from Peru & Romania. We had a walk to the Panthéon, it was a beautiful day we laughed a lot together. Regarding the room it was clean and had a two beds room for me, no towels for free but french guys at réception were very nice and spoke spanish

The hostel has 24x7 check in facility and it's just 10 minutes walking distance from the Gare du Nord. Cons: The place is slightly expensive when compared to other hostels in Western Europe. The lift wasn't functioning which is a big downside.

  • 5/5 J G. 1 year ago on Google
Very good as far as hostels go,50 metres from the nearest Metro station and 200 metres or so to Sacre Coeur, breakfast was included in my booking,it's basically croissant and bread and coffee and juice but you can have as much as you like, friendly staff and you can use the washer and dryer for a small fee, only downside I thought was the toilet in the dorm was too close to the door and you can't sit on it but there was another toilet downstairs.Pretty good price for Paris,I would be happy to stay there again

The receptionist at the front desk is absolutely helpful. She's very accommodating. The room is clean yet small. Just perfect for a few days in Paris.

Security is absolutely appalling as well as privacy. Someone came in to my room in the middle of the night and I had to yell to get them out. It was not a pleasant experience and would hate that to happen to a solo female traveller. The next day after my sleepless night making sure no one entered my private room, I was out exploring Paris and came back to see some of my stuff had been stolen. I ended up not staying for another night and found another hostel to stay at. I have never been so disappointed with service and security. They will say there is a safe but this is a common safe which is used by every one (not good enough). They have not done anything to update or install more security cameras which previous reviews have mentioned. It was a scary experience and I hope it doesn't happen to another person. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT BOOK THIS ACCOMODATION.

I do not recommend staying at this accommodation. I had booked a room for a week but did not stay more than 10 hours before finding new accommodations. The property itself did not look like it had in the photos, with an unkept lobby, dirty and no privacy in rooms, and bathrooms with mold and paint chipping off the walls. The bathroom was DISGUSTINGLY grimey!!! Included is an image from the interior of the elevator that was falling apart. There was not enough space for me to secure my belongings and I felt genuinely unsafe for myself. I informed the front desk when I checked out and did not receive a refund for the days I did not stay there. It was outrageously expensive for the quality of service and security that it provided.
