This place is amazing! I was expecting kind of a museum with interesting facts and items from Fairground but not at all! The museum is filled with games, shows and interactivity. We spent so much time with my friends trying all activities. Those activities are really affordable, fun, and even when it seems like to have a long queue, it goes pretty fast! Finally, the space is beautiful and it is incredible to find it in the middle of Paris. Shout out to all staff members who do an amazing job at entertaining visitors! I loved it! May be try to go there during morning to have a less crowded place!

This is one of the coolest things I have ever done in Paris. My mind was totally blown by the setting, collection, and experience of the tour. Nathalie was the most amazing guide. Her passion for the museum shined through and made it so fun. I had no idea we would get to ride the rides and play the games, which made it all that much more magical. Definitely reserve this tour.

This was our favorite thing in Paris! Never mind that you don't speak French! You don't need to understand the tour to enjoy it! It's overwhelmingly beautiful! And they let you ride the rides! It's fun for adults and children and I wouldn't miss this for the world! It's a little out of the way, but it's a beautiful neighborhood and we recommend hopping on eBikes to get there because it's a lovely ride from the city center along the river for a long way. So much nicer than the metro! Seriously, if you're on the fence about whether it's worth it or not, It is!!!

Loved the experience. What an interactive guide tour! We took several carousels and play couple games. They were all amazing! I would definitely recommend to others who has time to visit them.

One of the most amusing places I have been, an amazing experience with a very friendly and eccentric tour guide! 1h30 touring around 4 different rooms with so many weird and unique things to see, play with and hop onto it. Both adults and children will enjoy this particular museum! It's on reservation only.

It’s a fun place but it’s only French tour and we can’t really understand it 90% of the time except for the game playing part. So it’s a bit dull and boring to me. It would have been much more fun if it’s in English. If you only want to experience the environment and the games then it’s good to go otherwise if you higher expectations to know more then not really recommended

This museum is the most interesting one I have been in Paris!! There are a lot of big toys and some circus props in the place. And the tour guide is very vivid, although all the process in the guide use French, but I still could understand a little by the lively guide😆!!! By the way, the environment in the garden is very well, if you go to Paris, must visit this museum, you will get more out of your imagination

If you like fairground, circus and carnival rides, as well as circus wood carvings, games, mechanical music players, this is the place for you. We were on a French tour consisting of about 20 people. There was no English translations available for the commentary. So, be aware of that. Our only complaint was that it lasted about 90 minutes and should have been no more than an hour. Kids seem to love it.

A total waste of time and money. Privately owned by a collector who doesn’t have one single sign by any object in this “museum” that even gives you the name of the object or any other information. No seating, no gift/souvenir shop and no refreshments. You get to ride 3 carousels, but there’s no history or anything to be learned. It’s essentially a clean warehouse of undocumented junk.

An interesting museum with done of the most well preserved snd operating fairground rides, signs snd automated figures. Unfortunately the tour was in French but they handed our a English chest sheet snd do you were able to get done of the info. It is right next to Bercy Village so it’s easy to grab lunch and then do the tour. We give it four clams on the coveted Five Quahog rating scale.

Such an incredible place and one of the best museums I’ve ever visited! We went knowing the tour would only be in French, as very clearly outlined on their website (English tours are only offered in the summer). Our guide, whose name I can’t remember now unfortunately, was incredible at going through the tour in both French and English. He was so charismatic and engaging- a true gem of a human. We visited with our 3-year-old and I thought perhaps she might get bored after a while but between the spectacular light show, the music, the ball game, and the multiple rides, she was the happiest ever. The bicycle ride at the end was a particular fave and she’s begging to go back. She said it was her favorite place in the world. The guide was especially kind to her and took extra time to chat with her at the end, which meant so much to us. Cannot recommend the Musée des Arts Forains enough.

A magical place, very interesting to visit with children. I was impressed by the musicians' show. We also enjoyed the sets where you can take pictures. There was a human-powered carousel, lots of fun. There are some interesting vintage fair games that you can see as museum exhibits. The program was in French, but that wasn't a problem at all. Very beautiful and unique interior. In short, an unique place to visit.

Visited this place during a conference for an after party. The venue had a very unique atmosphere that was fantastic! The variety and quality of food was excellent, the games and entertainment were enjoyable and the service staff were kind, fun, and helpful. Overall, the evening was a very memorable experience! We were a very large group of eventually over 200 people and the venue accommodated us all nicely. I can highly recommend this place.

What a wonderful museum! The tour was one of the most memorable tours I've ever taken. We not only saw amazing and beautiful items, We danced, we rode on three antique carousels and had an engaging and friendly guide. I would highly recommend this museum. It is a wonderful break from traditional museums and an absolute joy to visit. Merci!

This place never fails to delight. I came here 5 years ago for a tour and planned Christmas in Paris for the sole reason that this musee holds am annual 10-day festival. It was a treat to see it come to life with all of the (incredibly talented) performers and to participate in the rides and games in a traditional carnival style. I recommend it for a visit any time!

The best museum I’ve ever visited - great for kids too as you get to ride some of the attractions that date back to Napoleon times - it’s located just outside of Paris and easily accessible by train - but you do need a reservation well in advance!

If you manage to get tickets over the Christmas period you get to explore on your own if French language tours are an issue. While this means it means it is a little busier in places, you do have the freedom to roam and enjoy the festive spirit and amazing old machines!

Best museum in Paris! The tour was in French but our wonderful tour guide translated everything into English for me, which I truly appreciated! We enjoyed the interactive experience in the museum, it lasted for 2 hours. It will be great if the visitors can have 3-5 minutes of free time in every room, so we can have time to appreciate the set up and take some pictures.

This was a highlight of our trip to Paris. Our kids, ages 8 and 11, ranked this in their top 3 activities we did. The English speaking guide was wonderful and we felt we got a good dose of history as well as a lot of fun riding the rides. High recommend as an off-the-beaten-path activity!

A hidden gem. Fabrice, our guide, was amazing, entertaining and made sure everyone had a great time. While this tour is advertised as being in French, Fabrice was happy to speak to us in English. If you have an interest in seeing amusement and fairground rides and entertainment from 100+ year ago, this place is unbelievable. The immediate neighborhood has a row of boutique shops and restaurants, so we had lunch after our visit. Close to the Metro so it was easy to get to from central Paris.

So pretty! They were only offering French tours when we went so we were not able to understand the tour but it was really impressive. The lady who gave the tour (Richelle) even came to us personally to let us know she did speak English and was willing to answer any questions we might have. You get a hand-out in English to help you understand where exactly you are and what you are seeing and doing. You even get to ride 3 different carrousels and play some games. Hope to visit again once when there are English tours given!

I had a wonderful time here. I am almost glad it was not accepted as a state museum, because if it was, we would not have the great experience we did today. You can only visit with a tour booked through their websites. You are not only given information about the rides and games, you can also try them! The bicycle carousel was the best. I hope they offer english tours again, because we felt a bit left out because only french language tours are available at the moment.

An unusual and awe inspiring place. Outdoor and indoor. My kids loved the old time games especially the garçons de cafe course. We were there for their winter merveilleux festival and it was a beautiful experience. They also did a great job with masking and covid safety.

What an experience! On our second time in Paris we looked for something intersting/a bit different to do, and when we discovered Les Pavillons de Bercy we were not disappointed. You MUST book onto a tour, and unfortunately the tours are given in French only, however this did not take away from our experience in the slightest. We were given a leaflet which had some information in English, and used google translate to help with the information given throughout the tour. Our guide, Max, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the exhibits and we had so much fun because of him!!! If you go here you must embrace the eclectic nature of the museum and not take yourself too seriously, it's amazing. There are many more photos I could attach, but then you wouldn't need to go and see it for yourself 😉

Awesome museum. No English guides (at least at time of writing) but didn't stop it being a great visit. Would definitely recommend if you're after something a bit different. Make sure to buy tickets in advance, you can't just turn up.

Enjoyable to visit while in Paris with children, but also if you want to let your inner child loose without kids! Very friendly and interactive guides that radiate much of the passion that went into creating this exhibit.

What an unexpected surprise!!! Fully recommended not only for children but for adults as well!!! You enter and in a few minutes you have a smile on your face. Added bonus the area around is like a little village with shops and restaurants!

  • 5/5 Samantha G. 2 years ago on Google
Stunning collection! Highly recommend a visit. Tours offered only in French, call when booking to confirm an English speaking tour guide (there is only one apparently). Still well worth the visit, and nice restaurants at Bercy Village next door for lunch before or after

This museum is one of the oldest museums in Paris. I had lots of fun using the merry-go-round and other activities. The staff were very polite. There are lots of trees which gives the place a more natural feel. The place is more like a blend of the old and new. Very exquisite.

It was a wonderful experience. Office team seminar was held in this place. Good staff and team very attentive to details. The ground staff made it a point to keep a warm relationship with the clients. The events and activities relives the experience of being a kid again. With kids if any event is orgainsed here, this place should be included in your bucket list. Location : 5 star Service : 4.5 star Food service : 4.5 star Ground staff : 5 star

I booked a guided visit for my birthday celebrations. The guide Max was just amazing and gave us a truly magical time. It was the best idea to come here, everyone was super happy!! We will come back :)

Wow! This was absolutely fabulous! Bigger and better than I'd anticipated, full of quirky beautiful treasures. My teenagers were completely won over too. The tour was in French mainly (we knew this) but there is an English leaflet and our most excellent guide also did a quick English recap. Lots of fun still to be had. It was also a huge relief to be away from crowds and heat in these cool spacious rooms. That was an added bonus...
