Amazing museum! Although it’s a bit far from city center, it definitely worth the visit! First of all, the building itself is a great artwork! It’s really a lot of fun to walk around and explore where each aisle will lead you to. Also, it has a great view towards the La Défense area. Second, the team puts great effort and thoughts in putting together the exhibition, including the story line, how the paintings should be presented, etc. I was amazed not only by the artworks, but also by how thoughtful the museum team is. A wonderful museum experience!

Great and extensive Rothko exhibition from his early exploratory days all the way to his successful expressionist periods. The museum is not in the city center so you have to be intentional in coming here. But my friend lives in Neuilly so it was convenient. The suburb is also a delight to walk around. I was fascinated by the architectural development and story until it’s completion, a labyrinth of detailed internal structures integrated with nature outside.

High quality curated exhibitions in an amazing modern building. The place per se it’s worth the visit, and then if you’re lucky the exhibition will be interesting too. Tip: take the free tour inside the exhibit room, they give it every 15 min, so this is the best way to understand the art.

Breathtaking museum inside and out. Exhibitions are always build with quality in mind. It's such a pity in such a gorgeous and recent building that still there are line ups in the ladies restrooms. As well as universal accessibility. We're in 2023! Architects should really work with inclusivity in mind...

We visited during the Claude Monet / Joan Mitchell exhibit. How lucky. What a great exhibit in a gorgeous space. This Frank Geary building is a fantastic space and I would see it no matter the exhibit, but if you can see the Monet/Mitchell exhibit do so. It feels like the entire world's available Monet and Mitchell art is in this single Paris location right now. And fantastically laid out (incredible juxtaposition). Make sure you go up to the roof for some beautiful views of the city. Only hit against the museum is lack of bathroom facilities. Go before you go😉

Incredible collection of Art. But you are not able to see them, because of way to many people inside. It is absolutely insane to allow something like this during times of COVID-19. The management should definitely receive a horrendous fine.

A pretty nice museum, but like everything in Paris, very crowded. Even when you have a ticket you might stand in line for 30-60 minutes. There are a couple of places to eat inside, I recommend the top floor balcony for the view and also because the first floor restaurant is ridiculously expensive. Exhibitions are nice and they also organize activities for kids and short tours free of charge for families.

Got see art and see the building, 2 great things for the price of 1. The rothko exhibition was amazing. Allowing you a chronological view of an artists progression. Brilliant. Busy, very busy, but brilliant 👏

(Lead-in thought) What a world of change/influence, if schools K-12 could be designed with the same language. A remarkable masterpiece of Art that positively draws human emotion and feeling and attaches you to architect Frank Gehry's true pure form. To be selected by Paris, known for its artistic opulence/fashion, design and build a structure that reflects the foundations lineage speaks highly of his talent. Gehry's freehand drawings (works of art) show his risk to stretch and explore his incredible artistic talents, giving depth and feeling to his finished works. This building design harkens his Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for brain Health in Las Vegas, and the Los Angeles Disney Concert Hall. Frank Gehry reshaped the landscape of architecture from portait/landscape structures of curtain walls to a more free-form of curves, shape, form and atmospheric perspective. This softens the worlds aperture of linear perspectives which often surrounds his work. Gehry's superb display of introspection, architecture/art, onto paper, hence, built to life. Caveat Below include photos of additional noted works: Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for brain Health in Las Vegas, and the Los Angeles Disney Concert Hall. Highly endorse

Very beautiful architectural marvel near a peaceful jardin. However… expect queues, queues and queues. There appears to be three queues, 1, for time slots on the hour, 2, for any slots on :30. I think the 3rd were for members. We came to see the the Morozov collection which was painfully slow, there was no crowd or covid control/measures meaning it was a mad free for all. The Large triptych of Bonnard was a bonus. Do go through the Auditorium to visit the grounds, and I was surprised how no one came to play around with the mirrors. The shop does not accept paper currency only payment by card. Do take Exit 2 from Les Sablons metro to avoid crossing the busy main road. Well worth a visit but I don’t think I’d make the trip again unless the exhibition was something I had to see.

Unmissable Gehry architecture with phenomenal exhibits. Can be overly crowded, like any museum in Paris though. Saw the Mozorov exhibit which was mind-blowing. They do an excellent job of showcasing the works of art. The terrace has a lovely view and however you look at the glass/wood, it’s mesmerizing. Gift store lacking in options.

Great museum of art, as well as building. We were here when there was exhibition of the Morozov collection, so we were fortunate to enjoy not only incredible architecture and views from top of building, but also a major international exhibition from the French and Russian modern art collection of the brothers Morozovs.

Interesting building with amazing views. Staff are friendly and very professional. From a non-artist perspective, the galleries inside seemed boring, however, the group I was with were mainly architects whom really enjoyed the exhibitions. All in all, if you don't come from an artistic background, don't go, you'll be disappointed.

Great place to spend a few hours in the company of great art. I visited for the Basquiat x Warhol exhibition and had a blast. The building is an example of monumental modern architecture. Not my taste but impressive nevertheless. The rainbow clad hall was an oasis of calmness and a perfect place to relax, while the various open air terraces have some nice views over Paris. Gets very crowded, so book your tickets wisely.

This is such a great space to view art. Just saw the Rothko exhibit here. It was fantastic. I wish I could have been there with fewer people, but it was still amazing. The time-slot program works well. Get your tickets ahead of time on-line, to streamline the entry. Plan to spend the day with the artists you love!

Interesting architecture, terraces, stairs, and skylines. The Rothko exhibition was interesting, too. The surrounding garden is beautiful. The security guards although could benefit from politeness training to align with the luxury and reputation of the building. The washrooms could get more frequent attention as well. Recommended 7/10.

I was so glad I made the trip out here finally it’s such an amazing and worthwhile visit! It’s in the woods so it’s a lovely walk to get there and then the views from the terraces are so incredible also. You really must make a trip out here; even if there is no exhibit going on it’s worth just seeing the architecture!

While I only experienced the grounds and outside of this incredible building, the tranquility of the waterfall, glass encrusted winged architecture makes for a worthy visit. Those with time to go inside are surely to be in for a treat as well. I stood and listened to the water for a while, and I was happy I came by!

What an incredible space. Very easy to find. Signposted directly from the Metro and less than an 10 minute walk to the Foundation. Bought tickets at the ticket office and very easy to entry. The usual X-Ray machines at the entrance as with almost every public building in Paris now. The space is absolutely stunning and MASSIVE. Unfortunately ALL of the up escalators were out of order on the day we visited, though those running down were all functioning perfectly. A completely inspiring and exhausting visit!!

Way too full, cannot enjoy the art with 20 people standing in front of every piece. Also extremely warm because of that. We needed to wait in the rain even though we already bought tickets upfront. I don’t get why you need to pay tickets for a certain time slot if they overbook them anyway… was not worth it for us. See a picture of a waiting line for a room with 3 paintings in it…

We went on a whim, it was a bit of a walk from the metro, and a huge lineup. But the online tickets were all sold out, so we decided to wait. Eventually we allowed in, and they got something like airport security there and you need to have your bags x-rayed. The building was impressive looking; other than the exterior shape, the vertical yellow lighted feature beside the water was also stunning on its own. Wish I had more time to check it out, but I spent my time checking out the Rothko exhibition. Alas, my ability to appreciate his artwork is on par with my skill at discerning top wine vintages.

Exceptional art museum. Truly an architectural wonder that’s worth the visit in itself. Appreciate the fact that the (in)famous LV logo is no where to be sign in the building. The Mark Rothko exhibit was sensational. make sure you head up to the terrace upstairs to sneak a peak of tour eiffel too

Driven by its mission to serve the public, the Fondation is committed to making art and culture accessible to all. We saw the very impressive Mark Rothko retrospective. A beautiful representation of his work, spanning the early 1930’s until his passing in 1969.

Lovely modern building. Funny because I thought I'd find a gallery of vintage LVs but as I cross the street from the park, they were running Impressionist collections from Monet to Pissaro to Gauguin. Went in, after paying 16euro which includes the entrance to the Park. Great gallery. Oh the burger stand outside, going to the Park had a tasty beef burger. The park has rides and usually packed with families. Enjoyed my visit.

The art exhibitions here are so well-curated, but the architecture itself is a sight worth seeing. This museum displays a mix of modern and contemporary art, taking into consideration and utilizing every aspect and inch of a room. Be sure to make your way to the rooftop for amazing views overlooking the city. There are guided tours as well but limited to French.

Such a beautiful place with insightful exhibitions. The foundation always promotes new outlooks and perspectives on artists’ work, offering guided tours to delve even further in the motivations and meaning behind the pieces. The Foundation itself is a beautiful building with a stunning view on the defense and on paris, a must see!! I would advise to get your tickets in advance and be there on time- being early won’t allow you to enter the foundation before the time on your ticket but you will be first in the line!

Really enjoyed the Rothko exhibition. The experience was rich and engaging. I really enjoyed the detailed description of his life and the phases of his work. (Also had fun spotting the piece on loan from home - very nice, Art Gallery of Ontario!) I would love to return to this remarkable building, which is worth a visit just for the stunning architecture.

Gorgeous space for the Rothko exhibit. Each gallery featured a different phase of his life. Care was taken to explain Rothko’s vision, technique and motivation. Audio guide is available for your phone. Ticket price was reasonable and we bought a week in advance, online. The lines to enter, to check and pickup rain gear and use washroom were long. Once you enter, there is no rush to leave at a specific time.

You can see the exhibition inside also. But ofc here is for see the construction who made by Frank Gehry. I uploaded a lot of masterpieces pictures for you guys but must see in person. 50min from center city in Paris if you use the transportation. Best place for chill cause park is near by here. Beautiful addition to a city that is not lacking for museums. The building alone is worth the tour. It is hard to appreciate the permanent collection - you get glimpses as you move through the building. Perhaps the best feature is the new frame that you get on Paris while inside

Very comfortable and well-organized halls.great view from terrace( but it can be cold if the weather is windy in winter, so it’s better to put on your coat). Lifts, stairs and escalators are available. There is a nice cafe in the ground floor

Getting to this place is a bit complicated if you are trying to figure out how to do it with public transportation but the visit will make it all worthwhile. The building is playful and quirky. You may not be a fan of contemporary architecture, but this building is hard to miss. This was probably the intention of the architects and the foundation. In the age of Instagram, turning the building into an attraction will guarantee more visitors. That is not to say that the art is negligible. Far from it, but your level of interest will depend on the exhibits on show when you visit.

Absolute architectural masterpiece hidden inside the infamous Boulogne forest! There was practically no waiting time to get inside and we purchased our ticket on the spot via the ticket office (also available self-check-in machine). Once inside, firstly we walked to the roof where the terraces are located and enjoyed a nice walk. Pity is that all the decks are covered by glassy roofs (it gets quite hot underneath them during the sunny day) therefore we could not see the Eiffel tower, or anything on the east side of the city. On the other hand, through some gaps in the roof we could observe the skyline of La Defense. During our visit the "Fugues in Color" exhibition was open, showing art works of internationally-renowned artists, which was very inspiring. Each room (only 4 or 5 rooms were actually open to the public) had a short explanation from the artist on how they got inspired to create their work. We really enjoyed ourselves, especially in the large and spacious room where Katharina Grosse's art was displayed. There is a gift shop at the lobby as well as a restaurant/café. One floor above a small exhibition about the building, its history and construction can be found. They even have a chandelier in the shape of the building. Using stairs, once can see the shell of the building from inside, which is pretty fascinating! You will not see Louis Vuitton items here, it's a foundation for art, not a shopping mall. In total we spent around 1 hour 30 minutes. Visited in May 2022. Tip: If you have time, it's worth it to go around the building and see the waterfall.

Amazing building in a very quite and beautiful suburb of Paris. We visited the exhibition of Monet-Mitchel. The ticket was 10€ for youth (under 26). You get through control while you enter the building and they keep any kind of liquid or bottle you have until your time to leave. There is a shop inside the museum and you can have also a drink in the terrace or outside in the garden that's next by. Time well spend, as the dav in Paris was very shiny.

Visited during the Mark Rothko exhibition. Second time visiting the LV foundation. The Mark Rothko expo was good (great collection), and the building is worth a visit (although I wouldn’t go there just for that). On the less positive side: overly present security staff, too many people/overcrowded, alarms going off constantly (people need to approach to scan the QR code or read the explanations/painting names, which sets the alarms off), and above all one of the most unnecessary annoying entry logistics of Parisians museums (e.g. if you arrive earlier than your time slot - which is quite easy considering the museum is far from everything and includes a long subway ride plus 15m walking - and it’s raining or cold, you will have to wait outside, under the rain and in the cold, until it’s your time slot). Considering there aren’t options around, there is a lobby and it’s a newly built building, other arrangements could be made; but they aren’t and won’t. Not a big fan.

The architecture of the building is really cool and with your ticket you also get access to the jardin d’acclimatation next door. I loved the Warhol x Basquiat exhibition, the amount of artworks were incredible. The museum is accessible for wheelchairs and people with less mobility. There are benches to sit on in some of the galleries but not all. The museum was super busy when I went, I booked a ticket and still had to queue and inside it was hard to see some of the artwork because there were so many people, especially with the guides being done. There is a viewing area on the top floor to enjoy the view. Most information in french and English but not all. The man at the desk was not friendly when I spoke to him (he didn’t speak, just pointed).

The building is beautiful, the collections and exhibitions (Rothko) fantastic. But you have to bear the crowds! It is always full, you rarely can enjoy a piece because it is impossible to stand in front of one. On top of it there are always guided groups being loud, so you get to hear their explanations even if you don’t appreciate the opinion of the guide in turn. Or the school teachers that put loud music so that the kids can dance in front of the paintings… If only one could choose like from 9 to 11 in the mornings for quiet time (NO tours) it would be so much better…

Often one might hear the opinion that visiting the Louis Vuitton Foundation is only worth one's while depending on a particular exhibition. We disagree vehemently. We, as many other a Paris visitor, love and are being charmed by Haussmannian buildings and Grands Boulevards, but the creation of Frank Gehry, the indisputable genius of modern architecture, does fully merit a dedicated trip to Fondation LV. Additionally, it is a good opportunity to visit the area of Bois de Boulogne, somewhat distant from the central arrondissements, Bois de Boulogne that is a cult location for French and world culture, arts, and literature (think Marcel Proust, Renoir, Alfred Sisley, Van Gogh or Jean Béraud, among dozens and dozens of celebrated painters and famous writers who portrayed the location). This opportunity includes a quick visit to the nearby Jardin d'Acclimatation, which grounds merge and blend right into the territory of the LV Foundation. The latter is ideal for visitors with small children who would love the leisurely waddling peacocks and ducks, pony and amusement rides, rafting adventure, and a puppet theater. Right now, for another month, an amazing exhibition "New World of Charlotte Perriand" is on display. As the title goes, it is dedicated to Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999), a larger than life seminal figure in the French and world design. The exposition of a highly extensive and representative nature is located on the several levels and includes the works of Charlotte Perriand's close collaborators, such leading artists of the XXth century as Picasso, Fernand Léger, Le Corbusier (whose artwork, much to our revelation, proved to be so more contemporary and beautiful than his monstrous architectural heritage), Joan Miró, and Alexander Calder, among others. Of course, numerous design works and installations by Charlotte Perriand are comprehensively represented. Tickets are available online, on the Foundation's website. Uber "Black Car" (professional drivers, known in France and listed in Uber app as "berlins") was about 25 euro from the Left Bank. A trip from a centrally located Right Bank hotel or apartment should be around 20 euro.

Not as I was expecting. The architecture of the building is excellent but it wasn’t much to see inside. If you are into arts then, this place is for you. it’s wasn’t worth the wait and and entrance ticket. One of the employee there is rude too... I asked a question and all he said is that, “he doesn’t speak English”... and yet we was able to understand and respond back to me😒

This exhibition of the brothers Morozov is spectacular. The foundation building is nothing spectacular. There were far too many people allowed in at the same time. Difficult to see some of the paintings with an interesting perspective.

  • 5/5 Amman A. 2 years ago on Google
We visited the exhibition of the Morozov collection which takes over the entire galleries of the Louis Vuitton Fondation presenting the masterpieces from the Collection of the brothers Mikhaïl Abramovitch Morozov (1870-1903) and Ivan Abramovitch Morozov (1871-1921). They were great early 20th century Muscovite patrons and collectors who put together one of the most exceptional collections of French modern art (Matisse, Bonnard, Picasso, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Degas, Monet, Renoir, Denis, Cézanne...) and Russian modern art (Vrubel, Malevich, Repin, Larionov, Serov…). A once in a lifetime opportunity to see rare works of art in person.

I haven't been inside the museum but you still can enjoy the impressive architecture of the building, the glorious park with small aviary, fairy ground, fountain, pigeon house, have a picnic, etc. There is an entrance fee to the park. If you opt for the museum then you don't need to pay entrance fee to the park.

  • 5/5 Daryl T. 2 years ago on Google
The Morozov exhibit/show is well worth it. There are lots of wonderful impressionist and post-impressionist paintings, including Bonnards unlike the ones normally seen in France, and some intriguing Russian art. I went through the whole thing twice. We started at 11am on a Tuesday, and it was very, very crowded. When I started again around 2:30pm, the were about 80-90% fewer people. It was great! The main line-up, once you're in the building, is to enter gallery 7, which has one painting, a Van Gogh. In my opinion, it's worth the wait. We grabbed a bite to eat from the highish-quality food truck in the park, ate in the sun, then went back in. I LOVE the building. Make sure you go outside upstairs, to visit the terraces and get views of Paris.

  • 4/5 Pyrognats 2 years ago on Google
Visited to see the Morozov collection. Amazing Gerhy architecture, well curated art pieces. Good crowd control so even though there was alot of people, it was possible to see the art at your own pace without getting blocked too much. This place could do with a bistro with a bigger food and drinks menu to sit down and take from the walking. The small food stall at the basement auditorium has too few choices and the main restaurant is not always open. Good connection by electric shuttle (2 Eur each way) that brings you back to the city - Charles de Gaulle-Étoile metro. Pretty good app too.

  • 5/5 Bart C. 2 years ago on Google
Impressive building, surroundings, and collection. The collection - the Morozov one - is one of the most amazing I ever saw. Of course this is temporary, so future experiences might be different.

The newest addition to Paris' Museum is great mixture of architecture and great exhibits. I have been there three times and I am ready to come back. The exhibirse are all first rate with a careful museography. All inside of a daring "ship" structure designed by Frank Gehry.

  • 3/5 Mel R. 2 years ago on Google
Went to visit the Morozov collection. You have to make a reservation beforehand. We had a booking at 12:30. The collection is great, lots of painting that i haven't seen before. But the problem was that in every room there were so many people that you just couldn't enjoy the art.

  • 5/5 Aleksandra S. 2 years ago on Google
I have visited this place to see the famous Morozov collection - available till April. I didn't have a ticket, you can buy it directly in the museum. I advise you to go after 5 o'clock as there are no crowds then, I was there at 3 and stood in the queue for 40 minutes. The building is very modern, with lovely terraces at the top. I enjoyed the collection immensly but the crowds made the experience slightly less enjoyable. Make sure you visit nearby park, it is also great.

It is an amazing museum with fantastic views into the surrounding area, with great spirits and astonishing exhibitions. I liked very much the Simon Hantai presentation there and later on the coffee break at the restaurant. The view into the garden made it even more worth staying.

  • 5/5 Anna M. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful architecture of the building itself. Great temporary exhibitions. We visited one dedicated to Hantaï, and a few other artists. Not very crowded which is great for just observing the art and not being forced to be in the crowd!

This is a must visit place if you are in Paris and if you are a fan of exceptional architecture. I was always fascinated with this place when seeing it in the pictures. But when I actually visited I got to learn more details about the history and the wait it was build and even hidden architectural alignments. Normally you will find an exhibitions of art galleries. But if you truly want to know more about the creation you have to attend also the private tour of the place. 100% recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • 5/5 Damien R. 10 months ago on Google
Stunning building 15 minutes from Place de L’etoile. There is an electric bus running every 15 minutes to get there. Admission is 16 euros. There is a restaurant and cafe within. Best to avoid weekends to make the most of the space. Expositions are temporary across the 11 galleries. Best to check the website to see what’s on at any given time.

Went to the Rothko exhibition there and what an amazing experience! The building is an architectural tour de force with good lighting, beautiful exhibition spaces and some nice terraces. Outside is a mesmerizing cascade which visitors will appreciate best when looking at it from the inside. There's a kid room where you can also relax on some bean bags. In that same room they were showing a very informative documentary about Rothko, which we saw after our tour from a balcony.

  • 5/5 Jenny 5 months ago on Google
The Rothko exhibition was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. It is possible to buy a ticket at the Foundation, but the wait is definitely much shorter if you book in advance. The Jardin d’Acclimation which is included in the ticket is a great way to conclude the visit.

  • 5/5 Felix F. 5 months ago on Google
Stunning building. Great expo (Rothko) which underlines the evolution of the artist from his beginnings to his "classic" period. Take the time to stare and dive into the paintings...

  • 3/5 Patrick O. 5 months ago on Google
The building looks stunning from the outside . Worth visiting just for that. We went to see the Rothko exhibition. We had booked tickets in advance, but it does not seem to make a lot of difference, we still had to queue outside to go through security (airport style!). Liquids are not allowed inside so be warned. I had to throw away my bottle of water (almost empty, but still). the queuing area is outside and with no shelter, we were lucky it wasn't raining at the time but this could definitely be improved. The exhibition was really well curated and organised, but some of the rooms were very crowded as the time slots don't seem to have anything to do with how many people they allow in at the same time. Also, it was on multiple floors so a lot of stairs. There are lifts, but they looked rather small so not sure how accessible the building is.

  • 5/5 Lana van den B. 5 months ago on Google
Not my first time visiting but Fondation Louis Vuitton never fails to impress. Gorgeous architectonic building (visit the roof!) with extensive Mark Rothko exposition. It was a busy time (make sure to buy tickets in advance) - sunday at noon, therefore a little more crowded than I like, but lines were quick and easy. Strongly recommend!

  • 4/5 helen t. 5 months ago on Google
Went for the Rothko exhibition. Was wonderful. Not overly crowded on a Friday afternoon with the exception of Gallery 9 that had a LONG queue Can not talk water bottles in any more. They cost check them! Blue Bus was great.
