Definitely a great place to go with kids for interactive fun! Very reasonably priced for a family too! Do yourself a favor though and book visit time before hand!

It's a nice place to go visit, and you'll see some cool things there. The main reason for the 2 stars is the price. You go in with great expectations to see some amazing, illusory things, but leave feeling cheated and wanting to see more. The price is set because of location, targeted more toward tourists. I get it, but I don't recommend it. Price is too high for the "attractions." For the owners, I'd suggest adding some greater illusions/atttlractions, or lower the price. Other than that, owners and customers, you do as you please. Good luck!

In my opinion, it's not worth the expense. The attraction tends to be quite crowded, often requiring waiting in lines for a glimpse or a photo. It would greatly improve with fewer visitors per time slot or better organization to alleviate congestion. Half the time, frustration set in due to the long waits and others vying for views simultaneously. Some exhibits require time to read and appreciate. Even my 10-year-old found the arrangement dissatisfying. I wouldn't spend money on it, knowing what to expect. Booking in advance is essential to bypass the outdoor wait.

Terrible waste of money and you’ll probably get COVID at this super spreader attraction. The exhibits themselves were interesting but it was so overcrowded it was totally unenjoyable. Each exhibit requires staring at an image for maybe 30 seconds to see the effect or else take a few moments to position your group for the photo which doesn’t sound bad but when you multiply that be 30 or 40+ people the queue barely moves so by the time you finally make it to the front for your turn you’re totally over it. Interestingly the line for walk-up customers to get in was probably 20+ people whereas the queue for people with pre-booked tickets was maybe 5 people - they should just require reservations and stop taking walk ups, it’ll prevent overcrowding and will allow them to better manage the demand. We ended up skipping half the exhibits because we just got sick of waiting for endless queues that don’t move. Don’t waste your money on this until they fix their crowd management problem.

The place was super crowded, kind of took the concentration of the artworks away, but that didn’t stop us from having a little fun, the reception were super nice and the illusions were fascinating.

It was fun to do however it is really small and we went through it in half an hour or so. You'll find a few fun illusion like the chair, the round table, the tunnel and the I'm tall you are small. The rest depends on how you perceive things. I thought it was something to do however for the time spent there it is a bit pricey ($20). Comparatively I went to the Louvre for hours for less ($18). Masks were required but not enforced inside so people "forgot" about it. Ymmv.

Absolutely brilliant fun definitely worth a visit. Such a mind blowing experience and just good giggly fun

I’d give it 0 stars if I could. What a scam! Highly overcrowded and booking a slot means nothing. They let as many people as they can in which means the place is packed and you have to queue for every single object. The queue for the Mona Lisa was shorter and moved more quickly!! Do not waste your money! Most of the illusions you can see online without paying.

Skip this Parisian museum: there is little to see that you can't find in books about illusions and moreover, it is so extremely full with people that you can't see anything anyhow! The place is very small and full because they sell too many tickets for the time slots. We would like our money back...

The museum has some nice features like the spinning hall but it’s pretty short and 70% are known optical illusions hanging by the wall. It could be nicer if it were not so extremely crowded. Too much people feels like you have to rush and there’s no fun in that :) it feels like a tourist trap tbh

This is an interesting museum, but too small to charge 19 euros entry. We can do the visit in less than 30 minutes . Overpriced . Nice exhibition though

This place is really fun! Has a quite few illusions here. It definitely messes with your mind a lot 😄. My recommendation would be to go here with your friends after a few drinks 😅.. It will be quite fun.

It was extremely crowded and the place is very small. They let in way too many people and we couldn't fully enjoy anything, we couldn't take proper pictures and always had to rush after staying in line, because a crowd was waiting behind. Some of the illusions were really interesting, but with the given circumstances the price was absolutely not worth it. If I had known, I would've visited something else instead. We keep on complaining about wearing the masks, but they become useless if these places don't provide proper regulations so the distance can also be kept, like having a maximum number of people inside. Overall a disappointing experience for €18 per person

Quit impressive museum. Fun with kids. Buy tickets definitely in advance as you wait long in line. Some exhibitions should be renewed but still ok. Staff very helpful and friendly. Try to visit early in the morning or short before closing

This museum is a chain museum. If you have been to it in other country’s such as Berlin or Amsterdam the illusions in the museum are the exact same. Nothing new bit of a waste of money but enjoyable if it’s your first time going.

Not worth the price, heavily overcrowded. Only noticeable illusion is that you get anything in return for your time and money. Entrance fee is 18€ for adults and 12€, for children, for a net visiting time of 15-30 mins, for a price which is even more expensive than Louvre or Orsay. In total it takes approx. 60 minutes, waiting time in front of and inside the museum included. Waiting lines are separated between with and without reservations, if you’re approaching from the south, you can’t see the sign and wait in the wrong line. The guy at the entrance explains the same things to each and every visitor, that’s why it takes a felt eternity to enter. What is the problem of installing proper signs and hint tables? The museum itself is rather a two-floor apartment or shop regarding the layout. Because it’s so crowded, there’s also waiting time in the museum in front of lots of illusions. So after entering and getting in the first floor, you stand a couple of minutes in the narrow hallways before anything moves on. The exhibits are mostly known to you if you’re an adult and well, nothing where I was „whoa, this is remarkable“ or something. For kids this might be more interesting. The Christmas decorations everywhere was another mood killer, it left the impression that a shop turned overnight into a museum or something. It‘s more a „House of Illusions“ you can visit at some fairgrounds, but there it costs a fraction of the price. Can‘t recommend this, save your time and money.

This was an interesting experience. The museum is small but has a few interesting exibits. Good to take kids there so they can learn about the world of illusions.

a pretty small museum in the heart of Paris, just need under an hour to cover it. Kids will definitely enjoy what it has to offer. have patience to read through instructions to understand and try all the illusions. The room of reflections and vertigo tunnel are clearly the highlights. Enjoyed every bit of it! Health pass mandatory at the moment.

A bit crowded. They were celebrating Halloween, so we couldn't enjoy what we intended to visit and discover. Mixing Halloween with a museum isn't a good idea and the lighting inside was very dark so even we cannot read the descriptions of each illusion.

Fun to visit, takes a bit over an hour to see everything. A few of the illusions really broke my brain. Despite a queue infront, the waiting time was not long (15-20 mins), and the staff was very friendly and helpfull. Ticket price is ~15€.

It's a great place if you want to take some really cool and crazy photos. But it's not big enough to entertain you a couple of hours. Choose a non-busy hour so that you won't feel stressed to enjoying some attractions or while taking photos. Yes, it's very unique and fun.

Too overpriced for the collection on offer. Most of the illusions are old optical graphics that you find on Google Image search. One or two fun mind benders but apart from that you would have more fun and success at a Science Museum.

We were first in line with no tickets so we only waited 10 mins. But it could easily have been way longer. My daughter loved it. Definitely a money printer. €45 for 3 of us. We spent an hour there.

I've always wanted to visit such a museum. It was a really nice experience and the illusions were well explained from a scientific point of view. Visit took 2 hours to explore everything and especially the part of the 3 puzzles you could try and solve. Advice: beware of the vortex, remember me when you try it. No photos to be posted to preserve your future experience. Highly recommended!

Not worth the money. Considering you can pay €15 in other museums with a lot more to offer and explore for a longer period (some up to 4 hours), this was expensive. €18 each for around 30 mins or less. It was very busy so you wouldn’t want to spend long in there anyway as it was over crowded. They did have some interesting things but overall not very unique and boring. Maybe a good experience if you have young children who will not be able to walk around the larger museums. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother.

If you have kids, take them with you, they'll love it. I read other reviews stating long waiting times and crowded exhibition. This wasn't our case. We went at 6pm, maybe that made the difference.

Its ok, couple of interesting illusions, and some photos. Ticket should be cheaper. If you buy advance ticket, make sure to go at exact time or rain/hail no entry.

  • 3/5 Jj Del Carpio (. 2 years ago on Google
I wanted to like this. It's critical to go at a time when it's empty. It will make or kill your experience. I went when it was full and it was awful. Could barely take pics and had to rush on each of the attractions. Felt rushed and dirty seeing so many hands on everything. Probably because it was during covid. But the idea kd the place isn't bad. Just make sure you get the place for yourself. Then you can have some fun. It's very small so don't expect to spend much time here. The gift shop is unamuzing, easy skip.

  • 5/5 Jude W. 1 year ago on Google
Pros: Entertaining and educational. The Halloween theme was pretty cool, there was even a witch roaming in the museum. Cons: No notable cons. Overall a really cool museum worth checking out.

  • 1/5 Chris S. 2 years ago on Google
A crowded ripoff of a place with cheap plastic recreations of illusions you've seen a million times. You're through in half an hour and if you don't have kids you're hating every second. I cannot believe the price. Avoid at all costs.

  • 3/5 Jem W. 2 years ago on Google
Fun but a bit expensive for what it is! The place is smaller than you'd expect and lots of the 'illusions' are just framed photos on the wall that you could easily google. It was also quite crowded. That said, there are some fun interactive areas that are good for taking pictures in. Overall, it was a nice time but I wouldn't pay that much to go again.

  • 2/5 Aria D. 2 years ago on Google
Super crowded, only really fun if you have kids. Do yourself a favour and just look up “optical illusions” online. Most of the museum is just hanging pictures of illusions you can look up online for free. You can get a couple cool photos (hence the second star) but overall really not worth 15 euros for 30 minutes with a bunch of crowded small spaces.

  • 3/5 Dom T. 2 years ago on Google
Bit underwhelming, given the price of the ticket. A lot of the illusions are pictures on the wall, and whilst interesting for someone who might not have seen them before they lose appeal if you're already familiar with them. The Ames room wasn't as impressive as I'd have hoped, it was a very small space that didn't really allow much space for other objects to go inside to add to the illusion. To be fair, some exhibits were really well done - the vortex on the ground floor was superb, and the off-balance room on the first floor was wickedly effective. It might be good for kids but given a lot of exhibits require some reading of the information adjacent it might not suit those families with very active and stimulated kids.

  • 5/5 Max T. 1 year ago on Google
Very liked our visit to museum! There were plenty of mind-blowing exhibits which were all explained by one of workers Aymerick. He was very sweet and super kind, definitely made our visit to museum memorable! He speaks English very fluently which was a very good surprise, considering that not everyone in France can speak English

Cool place to visit if you're in Paris, you should count approximately 45min to 1h go visit the museum, it is a kid friendly place as well

  • 3/5 Jack E. 8 months ago on Google
Staff were lovely helping to take pictures but the price is too high for the lack of features. Two adults and a child was €45 and we did it fairly easily within an hour. Also had to queue in the rain despite pre-booking

  • 5/5 Manuel Javier F. 1 year ago on Google
Cool place to visit. You can see how your head looks inside a kaleidoscope, or cast shadows of different colors at the same time. The crew is super nice and will help you if you need an extra hand to take pictures of yourself. One of the experiments reminded me of the music video for The Denial Twist by Michel Gondry, I would be great if they added more of those.

  • 3/5 David O B. 1 year ago on Google
An arguably overpriced tourist experience. I went mid week and found it to be incredibly busy. It is a great idea but the novelty wears off quickly when your queuing constantly inside and outside. Very much kid-orientated

We had so much fun there. Benjamin was very friendly and made our day. He was always asking us if we need anything and took so many pictures of our group and tried his best to make us laugh. Would definitely recommend it.

It’s a small two floor museum and you can take a lot of nice pictures! Fun to go with friends and family. Spend an hour with my friends laughing at eachother. Naike was very friendly and showed us a few magic tricks at the end! Would recommend!

Benjamin was a saint, he was so pleasant & patient with us as we went through the museum. We walked in last minute and he was helpful from the start. Very cool place to visit if you have an hour to spare. Go later as it's not too busy. Very interesting brain training activities.

  • 5/5 Debra D. 9 months ago on Google
What a wonderful surprise! This small interactive museum is filled with neat tricks and illusions. It is reasonably priced and fun for kids and adults. We ducked in out of the rain and did not expect to have so much fun. The 10 year old in our group rated it one of the best things about his trip and that included Disneyland Paris.

  • 3/5 Magali K. 9 months ago on Google
It is definitely overpriced for what it is!!! It barely takes an hour to finish the visit. There are cool stuffs for sure, but others are just really disappointing. Expect feeling like you didn't get enough. At least the staff is nice.

A great find in the heart of Paris. Easy to find and staff very friendly and helpful. It is well worth a visit. Not just for the kiddies. So clever and gets you thinking outside the box. A great way to spend the afternoon.
