Perfect place to go eat if you want to try a variety of French food. Also, very cheap it was surprising. I heard there are like 3 or 4 Bouillons in Paris, and they are all popular so we basically had to wait around an hour to get in. However the food comes out very quick which is good! I’d say the food is good to try since it has all ‘famous french food’ possible. The only thing was that we ordered a bottle of wine but we didn’t get it for a while. But good to try once!

🇫🇷Bouillon République 🇫🇷 Had such a great experience here! The restaurant is physically massive so they are able to move people in and out but the dining experience is still very long. The prices here are SO CHEAP. I ordered the escargot, French onion soup (very big), pork shoulder and potatoes, brioche French toast, rum cake, and my friend had the fish and chips. The food was all fantastic - so good. The French onion soup was the best I have had. It was so flavorful and I just could not stop eating it. This is a must, but it is very large so plan to share it it it’s not your entree. The wine was very good and so cheap as well. The French toast dessert was the best end to the meal. The pork shoulder was great as it was so much food and very tasty. I dunked the pork into the French onion soup and this was the best way to eat it. The escargot was great but I am not the biggest fan of the dish. This is a Paris must try! 🥳

Highly recommended! This chain expanded recently, but the main original restaurant was one of the oldest restaurants in paris since 1896! Although their waiting lines are often long, they move fast. The food is traditional and good, the service is good and quick and the prices are beyond reasonable. And you don’t have to wait to pay the bill, you just use the bar code for paying online.

A friend recommended the chain of restaurants and this was the closest to where we were staying. So glad we made a reservation and we didn’t have to wait in line. The oysters were refreshing! It was my first time having terrine but I still rather enjoyed it - reminded me slightly of luncheon meat… The ratatouille was tasty and so was the pork! The restaurant was huge but the staff were still really efficient! They also have a storage cupboard for any luggage you may have. Edit: We went back for dinner on our last night in Paris and tried the French Onion Soup, escargot, and (seasonal special) Veal rice. The escargot was flavourful and the parsley butter sauce was delicious! The French Onion Soup was less thick than what I’ve had before (but also I’ve never had French Onion Soup in France so who am I to say anything). Veal rice was tasty - the sauce went really well with the rice! We also enjoyed the Lemon Meringue tart!

Considering the score (4.7) and the number of comments (13.8 K), our expectations were very high. However, we had the opposite experience. Here are the reasons; Location: very good. Atmosphere: very fun and friendly. Food: well below average. Beverages: white/red wine and cola definitely have a taste problem. Ventilation: problematic, they did not open the air condition for a long time despite the crowd. Don't get your expectations fooled by the ratings & reviews and look elsewhere if possible. Finally, even though we had a reservation, we waited in front of the door for aprox half an hour.

Great food for an adorable price! If you don’t have reservations you will have to wait in line. Depending on the day and time the line can vary. The line does move faster than you would think though. When we went we sat upstairs and the room was extremely hot. We told the staff and they turned on the AC. The food was great and came out fast. I highly recommend the profiterole for dessert.

Quick, fast, beautiful dining room, interesting menu and the prices will make you happy, especially after getting drunk on their 10 euros wine bottles. I don't recommend the steak but everything else looks interesting and new for an American. Definitely a place to come repeatedly. Get there early to avoid the crowds.

It’s a very busy place and noisy environment. After spending 20 min at the queue outside in the rain we got in. Starters was really good we ordered oysters and escargots, however they brought us bread but forgot the butter. Main dish came literally with two pieces of meet and loads of pasta, that I couldn’t eat all. Desserts were good but they could improve. Waiter brought us water and wine but we didn’t have a glass for the water also forgot the salt and pepper.

Excellent. Highly recommend. €82 for three of us. Ordered their most expensive bottle of wine and more food than we could eat. Classic french fare. It gets busy and no bookings so go early or expect to stand in a queue.

Great prices, great food and a great time. Service can be a bit slow but the staff do their best. Plenty french classics available on the menu and you can easily get 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 deserts and 2 drinks for under €50. Will be back!

We went on a Saturday evening and queue was very long. So we did an online reservation for Sunday and the only available slot was 4.30pm, which we took. With reservation, the wait to get a table was 10min. Next come the ordering part. It was hard to get a waiter to take our order. We spent like 10min trying to get someone to take order. Food was served 15min later. The good part was all 5 main dish were served together, and the not so good part was the food were not hot. Food was relatively cheap and quality was average. Overall, not worth the wait without reservation.

Basic food for a good price, good atmosphere. Soup was excellent, wine was great and very cheap. Ravioli was OK and sausages were pretty basic. Overall a good experience and had a nice atmosphere with many locals. Line moves fast so don't be startled.

For what this place is it a 5/5, perfect for a cheap meal with all the french classics and can accomadte bigger groups of people. We went on Saturday night and waited about 45 minutes for a table of two. Although the line was very long, it moved surprisingly fast, I do think we got in quicker than other groups since it was just two of us. We had a bottle of Sauvingon Blanc, eggs mayonnaise, snails in parsley butter, a carmalized ham hock, and the steak with fries. All of this was under 50 euros. The food was all good quality, the snails were definitely the star of the show, while the steak was a bit underwhelming. The ham was good but lots of unedible bits, from the fat. Overall, it was a great place to try french classics at a very affordable price point. The atmosphere is quite loud and a bit chaotic, and the wait staff seemed like they were rushing around the whole time, not being able to really tend to the tables. Seems like the perfect place for big groups, but not the best spot for a good conversation.

It is very affordable and the variety is great. Looks quite fancy but it's cheap and very tasty and good variety. They bring the one in these tiny bottles which is super nice and the service is very fast. A good place to try some Escargot with good bread. Recommend!

This is the restaurant with the longest queue I have ever experienced so better reserve and try to do it a long time in advance. The concept is very nice: cheap, simply cooked but very delicious French food. There is no other restaurant in paris who would offer a souffle for 3.4 euros and would been that tasty. Perfect place to go with a group and to share and try as much plates as possible. Only problem is that is very overcrowded, the dinning room is giant and completely full meaning not a lot of fresh air. When I was there, we had a very big table next to us and people where really screaming and celebrating their thing but kinda destroying ours.

We had an early dinner here before continuing on to a show, and so glad we tried Bouillon République! We avoided the lineups by being early, and the place was huge. And the food was so good! We tried some classics and looking at the attached pictures makes me wish we were still in Paris so we could go back again!

Great food. This is a good place to try french cuisine. We loved the service and I think its worth taking note that its not just tourists eat here but locals as well.

We follow recommendation and we end up here, it was a long line and 30 mins of waiting and people still coming (recommended to have reservation) we head inside when the staff let us, and to our surprise it was shoulder to shoulder crowd inside, and it was loud. We ordered food and turns out simple and tasty. Im expecting for more in our food but i think it was more of a french vibe and atmosphere, which also really nice experience. 👌

Super affordable restaurant with french classics on the menu. Long waiting lines in front of the restaurant. Waited for about 30 minutes. Food was a little canteen style but fine when considering the price. Staff very efficient and professional. Nice spot to just try some french dishes. My +1 and I got a lot of food and wine for less than 50 Euros.

The waiters are nice and friendly. But the food is not good, and there are lots of people. If want to try this restaurant, need to make a reservation in advance or take time to wait for the seats available.

A repeat visit (9 months after our 1st visit) and again we had a great time. Honest French food at reasonable prices. The ham hock, sausage with mash, seafood platter, and tartare were delicious. For dessert, the rice pudding with salted caramel was perfect. The staff work hard here and the place accommodates both large and small groups really well.

The price is amazing for what you get here. I thought the prices were going to be literally double. You can also just scan a QR code to self checkout and order. Server is way overworked though indicating they might be understaffed. Still giving this 5 stars I was impressed. There was a line in front and it was worth the wait to get in.

Value 👍! Bouillon is a great option for those looking to enjoy traditional a la carte french food on a budget. All menu items are priced between 5-10€. You can easily have a full substantial meal with wine for less than €25. Would recommend to all those looking for an easy night out. Be aware that you might need to queue for 30 mins or so to get in - despite the place being massive

Overall great experience, had to wait in line but it moved rather fast. Authentic french food available, just like I would have at my grandma's and at very affordable prices, especially for Paris. Only put 4/5 because the waiter we had was rather rude to us on multiple occasions through the evening but every other boxes were ticked. Definitely worth visiting!

Good price, amazing food, great for veggies. The ravioli is really good. Is a long queue but goes down quickly because can seat lots of people. Great customer service put a candle in dessert and sang happy birthday for my friend. Would highly recommend.

Delicious food. I had a beef bourguignon with green salad and wine I payed 15.40€ but they have a lunch menu for 10€ with started, main corse and dessert. The local in Republic is more easier to find a table. In Montemar it's always full. But the wait is worth it

Affordable and very popular bistrot style restaurant. There is always a queue but the waiting time is not very long. The menu offers a nice variety of traditional french dishes. We had the iconic snails, onion soup and beef bourguignon. But the pork chop with roasted potatoes was the most delicious.

Onion soup could be better and they put it on the main menu not the entrée so I didn’t understand it in the beginning 😅 But their desserts are amazing! You can get a glass of wine and 3 courses of French food with around €20-30 so worth waiting in line!

Food was meh. Don't really get the hype. The bread was the worst Bread I've ever had. Definitely won't be coming back. Nor do I recommend this place.

Fortunately we had booked our table, so we didn't have to queue in the long line for walk-ins. So highly recommended to book in advance. The inside is huge, with lots of tables. But the individual table is really small and they are very close to each other. The food was okay for the price. Wouldn't say it's the best in the world, but if you're looking for some cheap options in Paris, this would be a good choice. The service was good, the food came out quickly (I think the food is premade).

if i don’t know where to go for the diner, Bouillon will be the first choice. Really really hospitable , friendly staffs, the worthy of foods, it’s tasty and affordable. Un gros MERCI à toute l’équipe pour le service. 👍🥂🎉

We had two lovely meals here. Line was quick - especially for 2. Service was friendly and efficient. Two with entree, mains desert and wine for under 50 euros. I had the demi Jarret- smoked pork knuckle twice. The desert Paris-Brest was a favourite

Quality-price ratio of the food is extremely good. We had some issues with service, it was very difficult to be able to contact the staff, since the restaurant was full. Food was delicious. The tables are very close to each other but as a foreigner we did not mind since the conversation remains private anyways.

Reservation ia recommended. Food was decent, wine was good, prices were great. It can be crowded but if you have a reservation you don't have to worry about waiting too much. It has still a unique flair...

We had a fantastic dinner at Bouillon République, I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Paris for an authentic experience. The restaurant had a mixture of locals and tourists. We didn’t book in advance so had to wait in a queue which moved quite quickly. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great, they have English menus if needed. The price of dishes is very reasonable and the quality of food is great too.

I went to dîner with my sisters, we wanted to eat good french food. We had to wait outside to be seated. The girl in the front mistaken our party and kept us outside saying that we were not all here. Then, a waiter screamed "thief" to a customer because she thought that he didn't pay but he did. Then, they hurry us to pay because they wanted to have the tables for other customers. I asked for the bathroom and another waiter was very rude. The food was very good and the price is very affordable but the service is absolutely not included!!

  • 3/5 Rami S. 5 months ago on Google
I think people come here for its affordable prices. This still doesn't justify the long waiting outside in this cold weather! The food was average, nothing impressive. The waiters are very busy and seem to be efficient. It was weird that many tables were free, but still no body is attending to the long lines outside. I don't think I will repeat this experience.

Servings are gigantic for the price. Not going to lie we were so full after this meal. But the quality was subpar. Chicken was dry and small compared to the quantity of fries in the plate. Escargot was a bit salty. Bone marrow was good tho. I recommend this place for affordable french food. Comment about the place is that it is so dark inside! Made me sleepy the moment we sat down. There were a lot of people when we dined so the staff were noticeably dashing around.

Great place to taste french cuisine. Snails, onion soup, boeuf burginion and creme brulee - absolutely amazing. A long queue.. even 1-2h. Worth to make a reservation. Service a little bit slow and not super kind. It's noisy inside. Nevertheless the overall impression is very positive and recommend to try once in Paris

Visited in Nov 2022 with a group of French friends, luckily there was English menu. Snails tastes delicious and way different from what I tried in California. Desserts are all tasty and delicious. I love this place and would recommend anyone over the world. We had a wonderful dinner and the restaurant was packed. I hope to return in the future when I visit Paris again. Merci!!
