Below average food. The croissant and pain au chocolat were not crispy, felt like old pastries. The galette was too fried. This could be the reason why the chef do not fold the galette the usual way. Only eaten half of the steak baguette. As a Frenchman, it feels like the cafe is trying to rip off Aussies by selling bad food at a high price using the French reputation.

We came for breakfast on a weekday morning and the place empty. The server was very nice and helpful on some of the more popular items. The kitchen wasn't quite ready to open yet, but the chef quickly prepared himself and we were able to order within a couple of minutes. We had a baguette and a crepe. The bread and the ham were delicious. The baguette itself was soft inside and crusty on the outside. Lovely. We also had a lemon and sugar crepe. The crepe was a bit gluey though and tasted a little like onion. Maybe the grill was used to cook something else beforehand. Very cute decor.

My favorite place to enjoy a galette. Their galettes were always heartly cooked and they offer a wide range of toppings to choose. Any hot and cold drinks with Chantilly cream were the best; a must to order. Prices match the food quality.

Quaint little cafe on the corner of High and Normanby. I'm surprised by the previous reviews about lack of service as I had a great experience on a Friday morning. Between 4 we ordered 3 x sweet crêpes and 1 omelette. The omelette was loadddded and you have to pay 3 diff prices for extras, so be mindful of this as you're building it. Coffee was good, I ordered a strong oat latte. Not the oat milk I'd normally have, but still hit the spot. In terms of atmosphere, there is outdoor and indoor seating in front so caters to Melbourne's weather conditions! Would go back to try their croque options.

Same as the other recent negative review. Ordered the quiche, it took too long and was cold. I was due back from my lunch break, so I might get in serious trouble because of the delay. The worst bit is after I was waiting for over 10 minutes, I asked them can I please just take the quiche and go, they said it's been sitting there for several minutes. They seemed to make no attempt in bringing it to me or seeing if I was waiting. I was right there at the check out. They originally told me to go take a seat and they'd bring it to me when it's ready. Pretty poor service. The food itself was okay, a little undercooked and the portion is small in my opinion. (Cost $9.65 FYI) But the bad service is enough for me to suggest avoiding this place unless you're fairly particularly patient.

Their cafe au lait is hilariously huge. Lovely customer service (really good with my baby). I got a galette and it was decent (for aus, I would say the galette was good; as a European: decent).

It's been some time now since Flo sold this business. It seemed to only open sporadically for a while and then seemed to be closed for a time, so I'm not sure if the current operators are the ones who bought it from Flo or it was sold on again. We had lunch there there today. The best description I can offer is 'disappointing.' My wife asked for a weak latte, and despite the menu on the wall clearly saying a latte had 2 shots, she was assured a 'standard' latte was one shot and it would not be strong. The latte served was very stong and bitter. She asked for it to be remade, which it was, but when it was served we got a lecture about how we should have asked for it to be weak. She had done that. I asked for a hot chocolate extra hot and was served a cold Milo-quality milk drink. You would have needed to heat it up for it to be lukewarm. For our meal we both had quiche. It took around a half an hour to arrive - and we were served before people who had ordered long before we did. Despite the wait the quiche was cold. As I was paying I was asked how everything was and I responded that it was cold. I was told in a rude tone I should have said something. Perhaps we should have, but you really shouldn't need to tell someone to warm up a quiche. It was the rude tone that surprised me. We couldn't wait to get out of there and just paid. School canteen quality service. * EDIT: I cannot reply below but I want to acknowledge that the owner has offered to meet with us. However, if the owner is a tall man with a shaven head then he was there at the time standing right next to the person operating the cash register and said nothing in relation to my comments. *

The food is absolutely killer at this cafe, suuper delicious baguettes at a very competitive price point. Although it’s a small space, they are highly accomodating with children, more so than most cafes. 10/10

Their baguettes are so good and made fresh. The classic with Brie, ham, butter and salad is mouth watering. The baguette is perfectly toasted and the crunch is perfection. Well worth a visit.
