This is like a good old-fashioned mom-and-pops establishment. The service makes you feel like a VIP!!!!!!!! You "do not" have to flag down anyone!!!!!!! The restaurant is very clean with a 1960' to 1970's vibe. The food is really tasty like going to your favorite aunt's house for a meal! The portions are spot on for your money! It's a excellent place to go for a family, first date, business meetings, birthday etc...... I have eaten here several times and always had a wonderful dinning experience!!!! I definitely recommend this place! 😁👍

Old establishment of yesteryear. Clean and fast service. Spouse and son both foodies were not impressed. I, on the other hand, enjoyed my my pattymelt. The server was total old school pro. She went out-of-way to full fill my hot pepper request.

Absolutely love Kathleen’s!! & Kathleen herself is a lovely person who’s so good at what she does. Not exaggerating when I say that everything on the menu is great. I recommend getting some of their pumpkin bread, I’ve since moved away from Pasadena & dream of it every day. Highly recommend this place.

How I've never been here in the 28 years I've lived in Pasadena, I'll never know... But now that I have I can tell I'll be a frequent visitor. First off the bathroom is adorable, do you see this sink?!! That's just the nastolgic designer in me. Of course the hot chocolate was adorable too. A full mug of whipped cream & a warm little pot of chocolate to pour over. I devoured the cream of zucchini before I remembered to take a pic but it was delicious. Dad & I shared the Reuben, SO tender, yummy sauerkraut, and the Cole slaw side dad didn't let me have any... Too good! I now understand why it's been here for more than 35 years... See you so soon.

Another lovely visit here to one of the long time traditions in Pasadena. Always great food and service! Hard not to get the Tuna Marco on a croissant, but I got another great instead, the Quiche Lorraine, which was actually a bit different than the last time and still great. The pumpkin walnut bread is also wonderful; on par with the best zucchini bread in town I might have mentioned a review elsewhere.

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. The food was great, service was excellent, and they had beautiful classical music playing low so that you could enjoy it and your conversation at the same time. A wonderful time was had by all.

Great pumpkin pie. We come every year for my mother's birthday. I have been coming for over 30 years and have never been disappointed. First it was with my grandma and now my mother.

Have been going to Kathleen's for over 20 years. The food is consistently delicious, always fresh. The atmosphere is like going to someone's home. Kathleen and her staff are the best.

Cozy place but food was underwhelming. Owner was a bit snooty. Just across the street same side is a great breakfast spot called the Reyn.

Excellent food and service. I would like to go back and try everything on the menu. It was a fantastic place to enjoy a family Easter brunch for 12. The parking lot had plenty of space.

Exceptional salmon Benedict. The staff are fantastic. Super accommodating! We will certainly make this a regular in our brunch routine.

The food and the service were really good. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was very tasty and the very thin and crispy french fries were a lovely addition. The service was really friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness. Since they are recovering from a fire, I will refrain from commenting on the decor and the ambiance, because they're still putting themselves back together. But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch.

Been coming here for years. Nice, homey feeling with the owner coming to your table to make sure everything is ok. Today it's spinach fettuccini with chicken which is creamy good and delicious. I have always had the best meals here. Good deal and reasonably priced for the quality of food.

they charge you more than what their prices say on here, they charged me 33% more than what it says on here, and they won’t let you know til after they’ve made ur food & given u the bill. When I asked about it she didnt care at all, she was like here’s your bill and walked away, why wouldn’t they want customers to know the correct menu & prices, just claim it as ur business on google & keep your online presence up to date so you can stop ripping people off.

Had a wonderful experience. Food was excellent and service equally so. We were celebrating an anniversary and without my asking, our table was set up with rose petals and a very nice anniversary card. Topped that off with a complimentary beautiful dessert. It was such a nice touch for the staff to consider adding.

I love this restaurant. It's a wonderful traditional American restaurant with a "touch" of Mexican, Italian and Middle Eastern foods. The service is great (Hostess, waitress and busboy). I also love that the Owner, Kathleen and her restaurant has survived "The Pandemic". I can see that she is proud of her restaurant by the little touches around the restaurant...love the flowers. I plan to continue patronage of her restaurant as well as all the individually owned businesses.
