As of today this is my absolute favorite breakfast place in Pasadena. Can't believe I've worked in Pasadena for 20 years and never made it over here for breakfast. Shame on me and shame on you if you haven't eaten here either. My breakfast combo plate was amaze balls and every single item was tasty. Service was quick and everything inside was super clean. I highly recommend you give this place a try even if you have to park far away and walk. It will be worth it! Cheers

Best breakfast I’ve ever had! Best waffle I’ve ever had! And trust me, I’ve had a few waffles. Everything was perfect! The coffee was phenomenal and that’s always a sign that that food will be good. Fresh squeezed Orange juice. Sausages that cut like butter but were flavorful. Bacon that was crispy and thicker than my thighs. The eggs were perfectly cooked! I’m sorry my photo is garbage but I was too busy stuffing my face! Russell’s… we will be back! That’s threat!

Great orange juice and regular coffee. Honestly, I'd come back for that alone. Lol Great portions. Not a fan of the sausage at this place (but that's just me), so next time I'll get the bacon because that tasted great. Impeccable customer service. 10/10 Will come back again (:

I saw that this spot was nearby and their breakfast options looked great along with their old school interior. I ordered the chicken fried steak, side of corn beef, side of buttered white bread and a coffee. The chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The gravy made it phenomenal and the side of corn beef was a great addition. The bread was delicious along with the descent coffee. Overall it was an excellent breakfast experience. I’d definitely come here again to try their other menu items and is a solid breakfast spot. Parking can be tricky but we’ll worth the trip.

Great service, was worth the wait. Everything was delicious. Got the breakfast sausage and eggs, also some pancakes. Thank you Denis for your great kindness. We can see that you put your heart into your work, everyone there that was helping treated us really nice. Trust me it’s not easy to be doing the work that all of these great people do; specially during this time. Again thank you 😊 We are definitely going back. (Took the pancake picture after the butter melted 😔)

This place always has a line for a reason. The freshness and quality is noticeable. DEFINITELY get your hash browns well done.

This is a cute little breakfast spot in Pasadena. The food was great and everything we ordered was delicious! The decor and ambiance of the restaurant were really pleasant and eye-catching. Great service, and the staff was very friendly. I would suggest coming early to avoid the long wait.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Russell's. Well, let’s talk about the positive first. I love the decor and all the paintings on the wall, it reminds me of a Parisian bistro. Based on the beautiful interior, I would have expected them to serve some hearty French cuisine, but instead this place serves brunch/American diner cuisine. Food was decent but probably not my first choice in the area. Service was friendly but slow. Also, it’s always crowded so prepare to wait!

Wow, what a place so well done. It was a great choice, the decor, the food and the service. It’s beautiful picture frames are inspiring and makes the place so bold n vibrant. There were many people and it had a great vibe. We enjoyed our brunch and definitely recommend it to everyone.

This was a fantastic breakfast place that also has lunch as well! I got Over easy eggs, hash browns, and Bacon with Toast subbed for Buscuit and Gravy (amazing decision)! Federico and Nicole were absolutely amazing to us and were super speedy with everything they did. One of my new favorite places in the area for sure! BING BONG!

Atmosphere was lovely there was a mixture of great music playing. The place looks very clean. The staff pays good attention to detail. The food was great a few things stood out to me like the breakfast sausage, fettuccine Alfredo and Belgian waffle. What I found different and maybe unique about this place was the meatloaf sandwich. Over all great experience.

Great place to have breakfast in Old Town Pasadena. My party was unable to be seated together due to their seating limitations of 6 (we had 8) so we had to sit at 2 different tables on opposite sides of the restaurant. Other than that the food and drinks were good. The waiter was very attentive and they also validate your parking if you park in the structure right behind the restaurant.

This was by far the best breakfast I have had in such a long time! The service was quick and friendly, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the food spoke for itself. I will definitely be back.

While staying in Old Pasadena for a few days, he happened upon Russell’s. Glad we did. They run a tight ship with top notch service and food quality. Perhaps the best waffle I’ve ever had. The staff is attentive, efficient and friendly, and the place is very clean too. We had breakfast here everyday, trying different menu items to complete satisfaction. Great coffee too. Thanks Russell’s, we’ll be back on our next visit.

This place is great, although I wish it were friendlier for diets. Also, there is not much seating available, so usually patrons wait outside. Still, I love their waffles and pancakes! I've tried the buttermilk pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, and Belgian waffle. Everything is delish!

Out of towner review: Cute little local spot. Very nice and professional staff. The vibe inside is a mix of a steakhouse feel that serves breakfast - clean and nice decor with piano music in the background. Really happy they served multi-grain pancakes, a little dense though but still tasty. No vegetarian options for those not eating pork products but they offered other ways around that like fruit cups or an additional egg. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Russell’s and will check them out again. Enjoy!

I don't know if they have changed owners or not. The menu presentation was very impersonal they have up their prices hugely. Also they used to say in the menu that they grind their own beef to make their hamburgers and the waiter insisted very smugly that he has worked there for 20 years and he knows that they never have done that. Well guess what. I have gone there for more than 25 years and I know that they did that. He wasn't very attentive, the server. And on a Friday I was amazed how busy they were they gave us a 40 minute window to wait. Thank goodness that we didn't have to wait that long but still I just wish it was more personal like it used to be. The menu looks so sloppy it's like in a three-ring binder as if they're going to change the menu at any time and take the pages out of the plastic holders to change the price or whatever it is that they want to change. I don't think I would go back. I don't think I can add any pictures because my phone isn't working very well but my dining person and I both ordered a hamburger patty and hers was markedly bigger than mine. I didn't appreciate that.

My friend and I went to Pasedena and I found on Google Russels whom had good reviews. I read there can be a wait because it’s a popular place. We arrived around noon and luckily got a table right away. It’s a small restaurant so I can see why it fills up fast. They are known for their breakfast, they also serve lunch and dinner. It’s in a great location, on Colorado Ave which is the historic part of Pasedena. Our meals were good and the decor inside was beautiful and quaint. They validate for parking.

Excellent breakfast choices. Never disappointed. Always my breakfast spot when I'm in the area. And "Cory" our server is always amazing and pleasant. Makes you wanna stay longer.

Just visiting. Recommend from the concierge at our hotel. Good food, great service, and lovely old school ambiance. Shared a meal with my significant other, and it was very filling. I recommend it to all.

i will for sure be coming back here! this place makes me feel like i’m in gilmore girls and love how they have cute chandeliers all over the roof, very cozy and fall vibes i got the country fried chicken and eggs 🥚 as an egg lover, i was very pleased with the portion of egg they gave me☺️ the waitress was lovely coming over every now and then offering refills for our drinks! i wish i would’ve asked for her name but she’s a lady with hair. i would definitely choose this place over ihop or dennys, their menu is huge and very customizable 🩷
