This is a huge Mexican restaurant right across Huntington Hospital. They have a killer carne asada fries and delicious chicken soup and vegetables. The grilled fish tacos are filled with generous ahi. The shrimp is crispy and the carne asada is well seasoned in their corresponding tacos. My favorite is the shrimp al ajillo with its garlicky white wine sauce. There is something for everyone in this place including watching a game and hanging out after dinner.

Upscale, foodie, gourmet Mexican food spot. Nice ambiance, good service, and small but solid menu. Great hand made corn tortillas, and salsa. Prices are a little steep and parking can be rough. Good spot to get gourmet tacos. Slightly discounted on Taco Tuesday. Good Craft beer selection.

Great place serving modern Mexican food. The meat is the good stuff and they give you a solid amount for the entrees. Ceviche is mid. Carne asada fries is huge (but not a whole lot of meat). Salsa is good, the venue is chill. The handmade tortillas were a little too soft in my opinion. Seems like they were steamed and not cooked on the griddle

Urbano Mexican Kitchen was one of the most delicious Mexican places I have been to in a long time. Everything was a 10/10, from the plating, to the service, to the flavors. It is a very cute little restaurant, so don’t be fooled by the location, because if you visit, you’re in for a treat. We walked in and were immediately greeted by an incredible waiter who attended to our every need. He took our drink and appetizer order and that was brought to us shortly, with complimentary chips and salsa. We then ordered our entrees and they were delivered, with beautiful plating. It looked exactly like it does on the menu on their website, something you can never be too sure of with other restaurants. Also, all their tortillas were homemade. Everything was excellent. The bill was brought to us immediately and we didn’t have to wait any time for it. I would definitely go again!

I made a casual visit the mini mall across Huntington Hospital in Pasadena the other day. I wanted to eat a bowl of PHO' (Vietnamese hot bowl of beef noodle but they were closed of the midday break afternoon). So I tool a few more explorations of the neighbors store and I entered Urbano restaurant for lunch. The lady owner greeted me right away upon seeing my enter'.g through the entrance. I lived 10 yrs. in the Hispanic's neighborhood of Covina, CA before so this is not a surprise at all. But in this well-to-do Pasadena Mall, it considered to be strange. since Most not ALL the Pasadena residents are very shy and unconcerned of the outsiders. They are cold and showing no feeling/talking intention when I started asking some questions. info. about their City. I ordered my lunch at table and within 3 minutes my tacos came. Fast since this was the late Happy hour of Urbano. A + point : They gave free small basket of tortillas as snacks to me too. ( I didn't drink Beer/ wine which are the only alcohols Urbano offers in this restaurant's daily menu.) The owner and her sister are fast servicing me as I expected. Fish tacos are fresh, ok 4 pts. ( 5 max pts. only for Laurel Canyon's "Guarajahazara?" restaurant of No HO.) Everything of Urbano Ceviche services are good. That's all for this 4-* ratings today!

Huge group of us there New server casted to a huge table, no management in sight, took forever to get our checks paid and he had no help, WE had to go up and help him! He accidentally charged the wrong people, again, no management to help him! He had potential, sadly he won't make it cause they threw him to the wolves

Urbano looks like a fairly nondescript stip mall Mexican restaurant, but it is far more than that. It serves some of the best Mexican food in Pasadena. Everything we ordered was top-notch. My shrimp stuffed chile rellano was among the best l've ever eaten. The service was fast and very friendly.

This place is right across the street from Huntington Memorial hospital. Convenient, good food made fresh and has a small bar if your looking for a quick beer. Server was great and prices were a little steep but really good food was worth it.

I’m not sure how this place has a 4.4 average rating. Some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I think it’s pretty hard to mess up chicken enchiladas, but they did it. The sauce was terrible and the chicken was almost hard. I thought it was maybe what I ordered but my husband got the Chile verde burrito and it was only slightly better. The restaurant was nearly empty at 6 pm on a Saturday night… that should have been the first clue. If you’re looking for Mexican food in Pasadena, skip this place!

Cute upbeat place. Lots of different tacos to try. All I had were good, pork, steak, and potatoe. Good size portions and service was friendly.

Ran into this place by accident and the food/service was awesome. Had the Chilaquiles con Huevos w/Chips+Salsa. The prices are decent and the environment is totally "Urbano". I will definitely be back; this time with the family. _LAT

Tasty unique tacos, never missed the meat in my 3 choices. Daughter had carne asada and cactus tacos, which were tasty as well.

Just had a chorizo burrito for which I paid 15.00. It was very bland, did not taste like it had chorizo, and the beans were not refried. Not worth the money.

Excellent food, excellent service. Came here based on a good friends recommendation. It was our first time for the both of us eating here. Fair prices from our perspective. I like the location because it’s still close enough to the freeways (110, 134, 210) and not too far from our workplace. It’s directly across the street from Huntington Memorial Hospital’s main entrance. We went right before the “lunch rush” so it was nice since this area gets crowded because of the hospital. Our food was flavorful, well seasoned and delicious. I’d recommend coming here when you get the opportunity.

I really liked my food! I ordered the Asada Chipotle Tostadas. They delicious and it has a lot of meat on them. They are a bit spicy but I like them like that. We also ordered the Asada Fries. It's a big plate and they are very filling. Definitely recommend this place!
