Went here for dinner. Nice location (restaurant!), nice food choices - different local and organic steaks (mainly beef and pork), extraordinary Pad Krapao choices and starters. They also have Thai wine and special drinks choices. We ordered dry aged Picanha and Pad Krapao with Thai Wagyu, as well as pork cheeks. First of all: The dry aged Picanha (450 Baht) was great. The quality of the meat was super. It was grilled as ordered and had a nice crust. Also the side dishes of the meat were good - although in my opinion some carbs are missing. But you can order rice separately - if you think this fits. One drawback: The grilled garlic was only slightly grilled. I expected a very smooth texture and due to intensive cooking experience a more deep flavor. This wasn’t the case. Pork cheek (140 Baht) was good - for me a little too done. The idea to cook Pad Krapao (265 Baht) with scrambled egg and egg yolk is great! The dish itself could be a little more soggy, but otherwise good. Spice level three was ok for us. Thai alcohol set was nice - two different spirits with little dessert and side „water“ (flavored) - for 150. Not the best spirit, but the experience was good. One coke for 40 Baht. All in, 1230 with service charge (10 %) and tax (7 %). Overall, I am actually a little disappointed, as the rating of this restaurant is quite high. And I think there is a reason: They offer a free drink, if you rate them. We did - showed the review (with originally 4 stars) and nothing happened. Obviously, you only get a drink, if you give five stars. And five stars are not deserved for this. For five stars they have to improve food preparation and service attitude - and I don’t give five stars just to get something for free. Because of this dishonest behavior - and the overall impression - I reduce the rating to three stars. After our review I had the impression, that they were not as friendly as at the beginning. And I think they spoke about us - and not in a friendly way. Good to know: The restaurant has no own toilet. You have to leave the room, cross a dark, alive and dead cockroach crowded tunnel to get to a public toilet…. No toilet paper and no soap or anything to wash your hands - not even in the restaurant. This is all you need to know. Not appropriate for a restaurant with this „quality“ and price. Maybe the restaurant should think about a proper solution for this. Overall: I don’t know, if recommendable. I wouldn’t go twice. And that’s a pity, because they have potential!

Organic Thai restaurant that serves fusion styled steaks. Music is a bit loud here. The ambiance is Thailand in 70’s / 60’s. Feel healthy eating here as everything is organic. Tastes are slightly light :)

Interesting concept of blending traditional Thai to steaks. Wasn’t very impressed with the quality of the beef as we had to chew a lot on every bite. Wish the beef was more tender. You should try asking the staff on which dish would have the most tender beef. Nonetheless, everything else tasted decent. Parking is available at Samyan behind U center

It was a shame that I ate alone and couldn't try a variety of menu items. I had the signature menu, som tam, and pandan juice and was satisfied with everything. We had grape juice later at the hotel. very fresh

Good vibes and atmosphere. Nice food, good meat and taste. Fried rice is not yet my style though. Fusion food is pretty good as well. I would recommend to start with Carbonara.

I really enjoyed our trip here. The presentation of the food was great. The food was really tasty and I loved the various different parts that came with my steak dish. Staff were friendly and the restaurant had great vibes.

Great experience at Tan Kun.. the food was very good, but what was even better is how friendly everyone is.. would definitely come again! I recommend the steak with the scrambled eggs, egg yolk and rice.. literally only comment is that the cut of meat was a bit chewy..

Ordered 1) Wagyu beef- nicely cook with crust but way too hard and not tasty. 2) omelette hamburg rice- there are grated cheese on the rice that couldn’t melt and the egg was just a overcook sunny side up. Hamburg was ok. Over all not nice. 3) somtum- coarsely shredded and not so tasty. 4) cabbage- simple but nice. 5) beer and red wine. Not bad red wine. Overall I would only give a 3 star for food, 4 star for atmosphere and service.

This little place in the middle of hectic Bangkok brings out a lovely and beautiful fusion of Thai grill and “yam” to the table. Worth the visit if you wanna try some local charcoal grill with a twist!

The food was good and the atmosphere was very nice. Old Thai music really fits in. The beef was good, the quality wasn't chewy like regular Thai beef. Although I wish the slices were a bit thicker. Overall a good experience, would recommend!

This place is special, the best meal we had in Thailand. Definitely try the beef and their Traditional Thai Shot. Not sure if this is because we are tourists but they added a 10% service charge to our bill, we didn’t mind as we were planning to tip anyway as since the service was exceptional and our waitress spoke English.

My Moon rating: 🌗 Has a traditional Thai atmosphere. Beef has a great smell but a little chewy. Great taste in overall.

The Thai steak and grilled tongue at this restaurant were a culinary delight, with perfectly cooked steak and a harmonious blend of flavors. The grilled tongue was a pleasant surprise, impressing with its tenderness and smoky seasoning. This unique combination of flavors and textures, paired with pandan juice, is a must-try for any food enthusiast.

Amazing Thai beef that could give American and Argentinian beef a run for their money. Cooked to medium rare perfection and paired with the local condiments that makes a regular charbroiled steak taste bland. Will definitely visit during my next trip to Bangkok. Heck, might as well skip all the Wats and Muay Thai and travel to Bangkok just for this.
