The food overall was very tasty. It’s my first try for raw marinated crab and I love it! The service wasn’t what I expected, could be the reason that I don’t speak Thai. The waitress couldn’t understand what i meant and not paying full attention to me.

We went here in the afternoon and it wasn’t crowded as it was not peek hour. We walked here from siam, it would be closer if you stopped at national stadium station when riding BTS. Ambience and service here is really great, they speak minimal english but still could understand the orders. They are very attentive and kept pouring our drinks when almost finished. Taste overall is great, the famous curry crab tasted sweet and is nice to eat with rice. Tom yum was also great as it isn’t too sour but still savory, was a bit disappointed on the oyster omelette as it was quite bland and wasn’t up to our expectations. Price wise its on the expensive side and some dishes are not worth it. Overall its great to try when you visit bangkok but stick with OG dishes! 🙆‍♀️

We gave somboon seafood another chance since we’ve heard so many good comments, despite of the fact that the Siam square one branch failed us. Everything’s better than the Siam square one branch. The servers were nice and attentive. The restaurant itself is pretty clean. The food was pretty good. I would recommend Thai dishes though and nothing cooked in a Cantonese way - you’d find better Cantonese dishes out in a Cantonese restaurant. Overall the experience was pleasant.

Curry Crab is ok. A serving good for 2-3 person. Prices reasonably. Tom Yum is good as well. Famous Seafood franchise in Bangkok and they pride themselves with crab dishes. I would say they are good and matching with the price you be paying.

This has to be the most overrated restaurant chain in Bangkok. Fried crab curry is just an massive over-sweetened mess with zero depth of flavour. Stir fried water mimosa was old, withered and tough. Crab cakes are dry and tough. Could tell they are not freshly made but simply frozen food items. Completely overpriced and overrated food. 100% sure there are better, more affordable curry crab else where. Environment was noisy and chaotic.

Like the ambience when we reached.. there are plenty of parking spaces at the back if you can't find 1 at the entrance. The road is kind of narrow, though.. ok, come back to the food.. is my first time to this restaurant, and the interior is well segregated where there's individual room or small compartments and open air depending on your meal purposes. We got ourselves a small enclosed compartment and had some form of privacy. The meal was an experience because the service was excellent by the waiters and waitresses, secondly the food is very tasty too. We had the very famous fried curry crabmeat. Yes, it does look like a patch of yellow mud, but the taste is commendable. You can try their braised pork belly, which is tender! Then we jad grilled assorted seafood where you'll have river big head prawn, clams, squids, and snails dipped into the spicy green sauce.. not for the faint-hearted if you can't take spicy sauces, ya... it doesn't stop there, we also ordered steamed grouper which is boiling hot with the candle at the bottom which I felt can blow if if you don't eat it instantly because you will overcook the fish.. yes, the "fire" is burning!! Not forgetting the vegetarian 4 types of vege is also very refreshing.. lol, running out of words how to describe vegetable taste 😝 and we also had soup which is quite an eye opener for me coz never had such type of soup, is a pleasant one of course... with that amount of food, we can't consume all and had to take away, which they packed right in front of you instead of taking it back to the kitchen..

I visited Somboon Seafood in August for dinner with my Korean friend. The meal was so amazing. I ordered their famous stir fried curry crab and sautéed morning glory. As a Thai, it was one of the best places I could die for. The service was on point and the waitresses were so attentive. It’s quite pricey but the overall experience is worth the price.

Best Somboon Seafood branch in town, no doubt. We love the sea bass as it tasted like spicy lemon, which is pretty novel for me. We also love the fact that their crab curry can come unshelled, for people who are bad at cracking crabs like me, this is heavenly. The female crab and the prawns are subpar, wouldn’t recommend. The waiters and waitresses were all super friendly. The location is also quite convenient as it’s just a bit off from the main busy street.

👍👍 Honestly much better than maidreamin Akihabara 本店. Other than the super long food wait time, food was good. Staff were nice and kept coming up to talk to us. Very fun vibes with the mini concerts. Very cute everything. But of course very expensive.
