Probably one of the best restaurants we have ever been too in a long time. Every single thing we got was creative and delicious. The cocktails were very unique and well done too. All of the food is Turkish which isn’t something you find often, especially in the Okanagan! I highly recommend coming to this restaurant, it is worth the drive even if you live in Kelowna.

Let’s start with this… We drove from Vancouver to dine in this restaurant and it was the best decision made! Hospitality, atmosphere and the taste feels like you’re in high-end restaurant in Istanbul. Simply the best! Thank you for representing Turkish food and culture the best way possible!

The location of this restaurant is amazing, just in water front. We were looking for a special place to celebrate our son's graduation. Big mistake! It is neither Turkish cuisine at all nor inspired! They changed the recipes in a bad way. To be honest we didn't like most of the food. The staff were nice and friendly, but there was a misunderstanding in our order so we have been charged almost 50 dollars more! I wish they could hire a good Turkish or Mediterranean chef to increase the quality and good taste of the food. Otherwise there are better choices around Elma Restaurant.

Wow!! Elma was phenomenal for the little date I had with my boyfriend’s mom. The wine list was good. The food was quite good although the grilled octopus definitely lacked freshness and chewiness, which is what octopus meat is loved for. The swordfish and dessert was amazing though. It is an amazing place for any occasions. The view is amazing. The interior design is thoughtful and stylish. The staff are amazing. Especially Michelle.

If you love Turkish food (we do!) or are just in the mood for some culinary adventure, Elma's will not disappoint. Terrific food, service and ambiance. Fabulous lake view from their partially enclosed second floor. The menu is mostly comprised of a broad selection of of mezes, which are smaller appetizer-sized dishes comparable to Spanish tapas. Great for sharing! Everything we tried was very well prepared and bursting with flavor

What a great dining experience! Our server Mike was really great, his intro to food was very clear and he gave great recommendations. Food wise, the main dish - sea bream is soooo delicious, the skin is crispy and the meat is tender and flavourful. Everything else were quite tasty too. Also, highly recommend their cocktails, we got the Elma 75 and Papillon, they were well balanced and yummy.

What started as an unplanned date night turned into one of the best dining experience we've had in the Okanagan. From start to finish every interaction we had with the staff was sincere and not just transactional, and it truly felt like we were in our neighbourhood local hangout—except we were also experiencing the most mind-altering good food we've had in a long time. The menu is small but so intentional, everything down to the flakes of salt are meant to be on the dishes and you can tell how well planned out each dish is. We are new to Turkish food and this was an amazing introduction to it. Our server made wonderful suggestions that both comforted us with familiar flavors and pushed our taste buds to learn new ones. The meal ended with labneh dotted on our fingers and spiced meat gravies running down our wrists in the beautiful way a dinner that encourages you to fully explore your food through all senses by ripping, dipping and smearing flavours together without utensils. Our drinks were unique takes on flavors we loved and complimented all the complexities of the food so well, the perfect addition to the meal that did not take away or outshine the food but could definitely stand alone if a night of drinks were all you needed. This is definitely a place we will be coming back to again and again any time we're in Penticton and can't wait to be the cool friends in the group to introduce everyone to their new favourite restaurant.

Lovely setting right along the beach of Penticton. Welcoming service and amazingly diverse menu. Some faults IMO is what most seem like to me, or might as well have been, a mini sesame sourdough loaf cut into 4 slices to go with our flight of 3dips over $30. Which forces you to either purchase another loaf or more pita. We asked for more bread, +$6 on our bill. Why not give more bread? I used heaping spoonfuls of dips and there was still dip left after two loaves. Overall the rest of the dishes were delightful, we had the beef tongue donair, special charcoal mackerel, Elma fries and their signature octopus dish. My fav was the octopus. We had two out of the three desserts offered, pavlova with raspberries and lemon; and the crème fraiche with baklava filling and honeycomb bits. Slightly sweeter than I would like but nice flavours in both desserts. It’s really great to see a unique restaurant in the Okanagan that does a really good job executing both the concept of the menu and cooking it. It’s $$$$$ but worth it for special occasions.

Absolutely fantastic food. Delicious and good portions. The restaurant is very nicely done and the staff knew their stuff. Great menu and some good cocktails too.

INCREDIBLE Turkish food, and great vibes. I've never had a food experience quite like this one! My husband liked it so much that we had to come back a second time during our trip. For two people, I'd recommend ordering one dip (which comes with bread), two plates, and one dessert to share. The only downside: we felt the servers were a bit snobby, but wasn't a big enough deal to dock a star. Oh and the sujuk pide was a little uninspired, but everything else was 5/5.

A phenomenal culinary experience in the BC interior. One of my favourite dining experiences in Canada. Strongly recommend both the drinks and food. We got the Elma 75 and Papillion, fantastic flavour profiles. We arrived for their new seasonal menu and my gosh what a delight. The ingredients truly reflect the regions freshness and diversity. The Prawns were a must but the scallops took home the championship. We barely had time for a picture of the dessert it was so glorious! The textures and unique flavours of the restaurant will truly make this a top 5 experience in the interior!

It was my second time visiting Elma and everything about it was incredible. The food was delicious, bread was fresh and crispy yet soft, we ordered family style which is what is recommended. Everything was so fresh and flavourful. We ordered a few bottles of wine that our server topped up as we drank, our server Mike was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful right on Okanagan beach, the interior design was trendy yet welcoming. This is a must try for anyone visiting Penticton.

We had dinner here last night and were blown away by the food, ambience and service. The hostess was so kind and accommodating and our server Ebony was incredibly thoughtful with her menu recommendations. She took the time to speak with us about the dishes and didn't make us feel remotely rushed even though we were there towards the end of the night. The food was amazingly flavorful and fresh with great quality ingredients. I wish we lived closer so we could come here regularly.

Ladies and gentlemen, are you looking for judgemental waiters and meat that's filled with cumin? How about beautiful metal plates that pull the heat out of the food? A place you have to book 2 weeks in advance? Do I have the place for you! Enjoy lukewarm water and the waiter giving off the general feeling that you're a burden! You'll never pay more to feel poor! Enjoy getting interrupted as you try to enjoy overpriced cocktails and they wipe down your table like you're a nuisance! Worried you're missing out? Don't! Here at Elma you're paying to much to feel like your just in the way of the next guests

Interior has nice ambience and you can see the open kitchen. Hummus was a delight to the mouth and eaaily one of the best I've ever had. Squid dish was also flavoured well. Beef tongue pide was good, but felt a bit too oily.

OMG! What a celebration of Turkish culture! I know it’s fusion, but it makes it even better! I love fusion! The atmosphere is amazing! The food quality is amazing! I will take a 5 hour long drive just to dine in here again!

What a unique experience with a taste of the middle east here in the Okanagan! Having said that, I would have loved this restaurant to be open earlier as we drove from Kelowna! Our server, Ebony, was great, patiently explained everything and made us feel comfortable. One thing that I like to inform others about is that although they suggest that foods over $22 are bigger portions, they are not! We got the Adana Kebab ($27) which was small even for one person, let alone two. Also, to pay, I could not tap, which I did not like! Other than these, things were fantastic!

The perfect balance of modern and tradition, Elma brings fresh Turkish inspired food to Penticton. There was careful attention put into every detail of this restaurant. The large wooden door to the tiling inside that the owners actually had flown in from Turkey make it so special. We loved the design of everything and found it a little familar and asked the owners if they worked with Glasfurd & Walker. They did and what a beautiful outcome. If you’re coming out to the Okanagan, Elma is worth the drive out to Penticton. Say hi to Mike and Ayse, they are the best. YOU SHOULD TRY THIS ∙ Eggplant Meze ∙ Seafood Pide ∙ Pan Fried Scallops

We loved our dining experience in Elma, if you are Turkish and missing some Turkish food this is the place or if you want to try Turkish food I would say this is the right place to try since not every place makes them in a right way :) ( Elma has a Turkish chef and it shows!) We started with small meze called girit and continued with squid and cheese pide. What I liked most about the dishes how the flavors were all right amount. Can not stop myself from complementing to owner Ayse, as we watched the kitchen she was on top of everything, it shows that how much this place is taken care of! Service was amazing and kind too! We will back 😊
