Very fresh and satisfying grease-free homemade food. Excellent chutneys. Naan with coconut and bananas, the tropical version. Very scrumptious Mauritian seafood curries. Overall, very flavourful and with just enough spicy kick to enjoy it. Generous portions, good value for what you get. Very friendly owner who happily explains what you are served.

A lovely family run business in Grand Baie. Mothers food from the kitchen is fast, fresh and excellent. Very fair prices for a meal . A large selection of seafood, chicken and lamb dishes. You feel welcome and at home with the friendly service. I would recommend to anyone in the Grand Baie area looking for fantastic food on their patio. Will definitely return before I leave the island!

Indian curries to die for and great value for money in this area! We had the garlic naan, cheese naan, chicken masala and palak paneer - all of which were just absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and you get super delicious homemade chutneys and poppadom for starters. Would always return!

Found this little restaurent and it’s so good! Start from the owners hospitality and papadom and all the sauces are amazing especially the chilly sauce! So fresh so spicy! Loved octopus salad and also the crab, main dish red snapper fish of the day wouldn’t let you down. Everything was indeed great

Popular restaurant with great atmosphere just the music missing, I had a nice seat on the outside section, they were full so I had to challenge a 'regular couple' with "I was here before you" 😆, The butter chicken was flavoursome but a bit rich it just needed some more masala/chilli, I wasn't asked mild/strong/extra hot, or how I would like to have the strength of my curry, it's good to note that in their prices the rice is included. The waiters are also quite delayed/slow, you must get up and ask for their attention, they can forget that you are there, I wouldn't mind coming here again, it was a nice experience.

Everything was absolutely perfect! We asked what Chicken Malai is, and even though it wasn't available initially, they prepared it just for us. You should definitely try this starter. It's amazing! We ordered two different lamb dishes, and they were unbelievably tasty. Probably the best I've ever tasted! They are also super friendly and charming.

We ate twice at Coleen Chez Ram and it is fantastic. Ram the owner is charming and his Son has a beaming smile and great banter. The food was amazing and I even suggested would they deliver (6016 miles away)? This is a must visit if you are in North Mauritius….do it and you won’t be disappointed.

Easily the best Indian restaurant in the North of Mauritius. It has stayed authentically Mauritian through the years and they produce consistently excellent Indian curries.

Simply amazing! The Dal Makhani rocks, and so does the Butter Chicken! The service is very friendly and the experience is fab! Not located in the most exciting part of Grand Baie but that adds to the experience :) I would definitely visit again!!!

We visited Chez Ram three times in our 6 night stay in Grand Bae. The food here is SPECTACULAR. Our highlights included the spinach lamb curry, the Goan fish curry, the Kashmiri Naan and the banana flambé (recommended by the lonely planet guide book to Mauritius... It said not to be missed and we completely agree!!) The service is always very good, lovely atmosphere. This has been the best value for money place we've eaten so far in Mauritius. Thank you Chez Ram for three Wonderful dinners!!

Restaurant with Creole and Indian type cooking. All of it was delicious. Sivaramen, a very sociable and charismatic person made us feel at ease (at home) and recommended us the best dishes. Great prices. We came back happily and we were very pleased. Best food on the island. I recommend wholeheartedly.

The food is fantastic! We had a mix of dishes. The curries were amazing. The fish was freshly caught and well prepared. The restaurant was comfortable and the staff were friendly and accommodating, we had an awesome lunch. I would recommend this place to all my friends.

We had a delicious meal at Cooley Chez Ram tonight. The fresh red snapper was served as a whole fish and was cooked perfectly. The testament to my meal was that only bones were left on my plate. My girlfriend had the traditional Mauritian Creole prawn curry which she really enjoyed and verbalized every mouthful. Her plate too was empty at the end of the meal. This family run restaurant is excellent. The staff are professional and friendly the atmosphere was awesome and the prices were very reasonable. We hope to eat there again before our holiday comes to an end.

Family owned restaurant. Very cozy and lovely owners with great indian and mauritian food. More than affordable prices. Great also for vegetarian and vegan food. We went there four times during our vacation, because we felt like home there. If you are looking for a good local experience, go there.

Authentic family run Mauritian inspired food. Son is the waiter, dad at the entrance/bar/reception and mum with her team in the kitchen. Lovely food, friendly service, well priced and always a good tip and information about the food. Nice little outdoor patio along the street.

👍👍 Lovely lunch with a beautiful view of Grand Baie. The prawn platter and calamari was fresh and delicious. 😠 Please stop people smoking outside. The no smoking sign is not enough. There is a kids area right outside, and no one seems to care.

👍 A fine-looking restaurant, made to feel welcome immediately, if a bit slightly dark. But I suppose that adds to the ambience, right? Straight to the starters where we had some fresh bread rolls, calamar crouistillant, jalapeno peppers and prawns. With exception to the prawns, which didn’t seem to...
