Came to the restaurant last night for a date night with my husband, we’ve been in Perth six months and total foodies and this was absolutely the best restaurant we have yet to visit. The food was incredible, the cocktails were great, there was a really good atmosphere and all the staff are really nice. Thanks guys! Will definitely be back!

Ok i don’t usually give 3 stars without a reason. So here goes. First of all the food. This was actually very good overall. Selection, flavours etc. BUT. Pink chicken close to bone hmmm. Border line under cooked. My biggest bug bear is service. Its very simple to give good service, this place failed. Partly because of establishments totally unreasonable process, secondly the waitresses instant defensive response. They refuse to serve a can of coke with a glass of ice. Insisting they will only do by pouring into glass and bringing you the glass, not the can. Why ? What difference does it make ? No explanation other than “they don’t do that” Reason I requested was because my first one was flat and i believed it was from an existing open can. The other is i don’t trust restaurants that do this because I believe they’re not giving you whole can. Maximising their profits. There’s no other reason. What really annoyed me was the whole time they were defending not giving me a can even though they were stacked 2ft high behind bar, and a guy was sitting at the bar drinking out of a can. If you’re in the service industry create systems and policies in line with customer service. Especially something as simple as a can of coke. Would i go back for this service ? Never.

I've just been and it was the worst dining experience I've ever had: 1. The Barramundi wings main is absolutely horrible: two pieces of fish - consisting mostly of bone and batter with less than two mouthfuls of fish that you gotta work for - $25. 2. Not enough space between tables - pressed back to back with people in table behind us (no back rest - like can feel their spine). 3. Main meals came out at uneven timings (like 20 minutes+ apart). 4. Drinks ordered mixed up and when asked what we were even drinking waiter told us wrong names or didn't know. 5. Comments allegedly made when booking online were either disregard or ignored.

Pretty cool place and nice enough staff, though the food and cocktails were underwhelming. We ordered ceviche (wasn't really ceviche - it hadn't cured), corn (half boiled to speed up the cooking time - never boil!), tacos (the tortillas were raw) and corn chips with guacamole (the best thing we ordered, but they came out last). The margaritas tasted like a premix too. They've definitely focused on the atmosphere and churning things out ahead of the flavours.

Food was nice but VERY small portion for your money. Refried beans no better than canned variety. Service was good with happy waiter.. worst of all was the LOUD music. It was Sunday lunch and only 1 other table. We sat in the further east corner but still had trouble hearing each other. On paying the bill we mentioned the loud music and were told. “. Yeah we are a loud music venue” so thanks but no thanks. We won’t be back and won’t recommend

Had a very late lunch after a day of post-boxing day shopping in the city , and absolutely loved the food and the service. The waiters were friendly, knowledgeable of the food and beverages they serve, they were engaging and attentive. The food is fresh, delicious and the portions are perfect for one and reasonably priced enough to buy multiple items to share. Presentation of food was great, and although smaller portions than usual - the food is packed with flavour, you can taste every single seasoning used. Kudos to the chefs! Will definitely visit again !

Amazing atmosphere! Best cocktails ever!! And the steak made me want to order another serve if I wasn’t so full from the salad and quac and chips. Will be back for sure

Food Presentation was good. Staff were friendly. Food was not great. Im sorry guys. The food that came in the black bowl my wife ordered was very bad. I took 1 bite and spit it out and left with a 62 dollar bill and not happy. Please bring your food game up guys.

Went in on Tuesday night. The service was exceptionally, the staff that served us provided outstanding service. The cocktails are really good, just perfection. Service is the reason for the 3 stars otherwise I would have left 1 star, the food was inedible. The food is really bad, we left most of it on the table and considering the high prices it's more than disappointing. I would give the place another chance in the late future when they sort the food flavours out and this is only because the staff were so lovely.

We had a birthday event with 14 people and were told we had to leave after one hour and 45 minutes which was disappointing for such a large group booking. Additionally they didn’t allow 14 people to split payment and insisted it had to be completed through one transaction. While some of us left to find an ATM to grab cash they made us feel incredibly uncomfortable given the next group was waiting to take over the table. Wouldn’t recommend for large groups!

I've been here 4 times now over about 5 years and it's always consistently top quality food. Its really worth the visit. Be sure to book as it's always busy on the weekend. Food and drinks come out quite fast in my experience. Its a pretty compact place and it can be very crowded, loud and hectic inside, a warning to those hard off hearing or anxious/claustrophobic, but it's a good vibe and professionally staffed.

The best meal I have ever eaten in my life. I will be visiting La Cholita in this life and the next. Wow wow wow wow wow. The stuffed jalapeño and fish taco were especially delicious and the service was incredible.

Highly recommend! Busy as on a Friday night and still had fast service. Yummy as food and great cocktails. Staff were great at explaining the risk of cross contamination for gluten which I appreciated. And still a lot of Coeliac friendly options with fresh corn tortillas

Really tasty Latin food. You will not be disappointed with the packed flavor of the food or be disappointed in the large selection room of tequilas & wines. We stopped in here for a snack because the kids wanted some chips and guacamole. The tortilla chips are made fresh and are amazing!! Not oily but crunch and not super thick. We tried the beef and pork tacos and both were nice. The beef is a bit spicy due to the salsa but the meat was juicy and flavorful. Do note, each order is only 1 taco (which is standard for tapas type eatery) and they are not very big. We also got the duck fluatas which were really good. The tequila flight was just so so probably because we don’t like the tomato juice one. Overall nice place but super expensive for a snack (this is the reason for 4 stars only).

Really good food and great staff, even on a very busy night. The dishes are small and pricey, so the best way to enjoy is going in a larger group for sharing different things. It was a little dark and noisy for my liking, especially when it got so crowded.

Love La cholita! Myself and my partner have been here twice and the food is always so delicious. The sangria is sooo nice and pretty much everything on the menu. The only gripe is sometimes the service can be a bit slow, so maybe having more staff on if the restaurant is full would help. Will be back☺️

La Cholita provides excellent service and a flavour bomb of food. Their sauces are as spicy as the range of cocktails they have. Their Nachos & Angus beef were alright but the Pork Belly is my personal favourite

Sensational! The flavours, the atmosphere , our lovely young waiter who supported and confirmed our food choices and also gave great recommendations that didn’t disappoint. 1. Barramundi cervachi, tuna toasta, duck toquita, mushroom & goat cheese quesadillas, fish taco, beef tongue taco, jalapeño taco WOW- Desert was the finishing touch!

Awesome place. Huge variety of tacos and tostadas, all beautifully done and excellent flavour. There are a few main dishes too and other types to try. Their tequila and mezcal list is soooo vast it would take you over 20 visits to go through it all! Cocktails are excellent. Had the tamarind margarita last night and it was superb (picture below). Do make a booking as they get really busy

Sneaky dinner with good conversation Friends and I went in here on Friday Night for dinner. Food was good and we were so hungry we ate first and photographed later. Service was good and atmosphere was buzzing.

I always wanted to come here but it’s too dark for me which made it difficult to see the food. If it was a little lighter that might improve things. Definitely more of a bar atmosphere and given that most of the menu is drinks it is to be expected. You always need to book and the seating time is an hour and a half. Really friendly staff.

It's a good Mexican restaurant in CBD. Tasty and authentic food with fresh ingredients and nice environment. Friendly staff. I highly recommend the brisket taco and cheese quesadilla. Guacamole as entree is a must, really big portion. I'll be back soon....

Firstly, the food and drinks here are absolutely superb. If it wasn’t for the below I would visit every week. 1.5hr table time - what rubbish. We were pushed to hurry up and get out of our table. I actually felt sorry for the staff who were uncomfortably pushing us to leave because the table was booked multiple times after us. 1.5hr is totally unreasonable. The staff were so under the pump that they did stuff up one of our orders, which in itself did not bother us at all. The trouble was this meant we had no chance of even looking at the dessert menu. We would’ve liked dessert and another cocktail. We had to swallow our last plates whole and guzzle our drinks because two wait staff were awkwardly staring at us to leave because the table was due. I don’t recall the pushy table time from previous visits, so maybe it’s a new rule. It certainly makes you feel like cattle even though you’re paying top dollar. The music is also obnoxiously loud. Don’t bother going with a group because you can’t hear anyone but the person right beside you. The food is fantastic and the place is always packed, so I guess it works for some people. But I won’t bother booking again while the table time remains 1.5hrs.

Amazing food! So many different and new flavour combinations and I loved everything I tried. Best chips and guac I have ever had!! Also they do amazing cocktails. I enjoyed the dim lit environment and it was a fun vibe in there however it lost one star because was very loud and I couldn’t talk easily to my friends.

Been this today, better get there before 12:30 for the busy time . Nice food but tacos charged $6 per unit ! Cocktails normal price , music a bit loud but still a nice atmosphere for drinks n bites

Not a bad spot to have a drink and a bite! Food is good but a little on the pricey side for the portion you get.. make sure to get a reservation even on weekdays, this place gets packed! Try the guacamole!

One of the places I visited when I was in Perth was La Cholita, I went here for dinner and I basically got all of the tacos 😂 It’ll be too long to list everything so I’ll put down some of my favorites only: 🌮 Crumbed prawn, pickled red cabbage, guac $6.5 🌮 Baja fish, chipotle mayo $6 🌮 Beef brisket, salsa roja (GF) $6 🌮 Beef tongue, ranchero sauce, coriander (GF) $5.5 We shared a couple of tacos between 3 people and it was a good portion! The ones I listed above were sooo tasty, great flavors balance between the protein and the greens 😋 The ambience of the place was really good too - friendly service, loved the mural, decor and the wall of tequila 🤪 There were more items to try from the menu, so if you’re located in Perth or nearby and have never visited this place, this is your sign! 🤩

Food was very nice, and the waitress was lovely who served us. They even brought a cake out with sparklers on it for me. But…I booked for a group of 29 for my birthday, was told that the tables could fit 30 so no problem. When we arrived and everyone sat down we realised that to fit 30 involved squashing 5 people per side onto a table that could realistically only fit 4 people per side, literally people were shoulder to shoulder on this table. Would not recommend it for a group function.

Popped in here one Sunday lunchtime as we were in Northbridge, was busy but they got us a table. Service was quick and friendly. We orders Quesadilla and the grilled chicken and cauliflower with tortilla chips. Everything was really good, chicken was cooked to perfection and loved all the sides, guacamole I could have eaten it on its own. Will come back in the evening as it’s got a nice atmosphere too.

We really enjoyed the place. The spicy duck taquitos were the best. My wife also enjoyed the Mexican street corn and the 3 cheeses quesadilla. I had 3 tacos. All good, but I think the slow cooked pork was the best. Service was very good. We went during lunch and it wasn't that busy but in the evening I expect it is crowded.

Good food, good service. Menu is a bit limited for vegetarians/vegans but the dishes they have are tasty. The Fish Taxos are great as is the Nachos with Guacamole. Nachos are the fresh variety rather than the variety that comes out of a packet. Cocktails are also nice. The place has a fun party vibe.

Had a fantastic long lunch here with friends. Five star Margaritas and they nailed the basics like Pico and Guac, as well as the other dishes, most of which were well suited to sharing (our preferred method of dining). Lovely service, kept the drinks flowing 👍👍 being right in the middle of Northbridge with floor to ceiling windows this was also a top notch venue for people watching. Oh and don't sleep on the desserts 👌

The BEST guacamole and tortilla chips! Love the beef tongue tacos a lot too. Vibes are always great here. Endless tequila options. Great sangria jugs for sharing.

Best Verde Margarita’s I’ve had and love the tapas Mexican meals. The service was excellent!

The food and drinks here are so so good. The venue is delightful too! It is one of my favourite places to grab drinks and dinner in Perth. My favourites are the guacamole and chips, fish tacos, sangria and margaritas. It’s a great place to share a jug of sangria with friends.

Food and service were really good although the chicken in the tostadas was cold. Nice modern feel, however a bit dark and the music was a bit loud for easy conversation, with a speaker right above our table. Very reasonable prices. I would come here again.

Best. Mexican. Feast. In ages! All the tacos I had were a winner, but in order of my favourites: fish, brisket, prawn, pork belly. But the first prize must go to the duck taquitos 🙌 The staff were on top of it and the food came out within 10 minutes of ordering (pretty impressive for a super busy Saturday night). Can’t wait to go back 🌮👌

Best Mexican food I had in a long time. Fish tacos are great! (and i'm not a big fan of fish!) The pork belly was a little dry however everything else was awesome and fresh~ The staff was also really nice and friendly.

Always a fun place, foods pretty good and the drinks are decent priced. Huge tequila list. If you are keen on making a night out of it be prepared to spend some time and some money.

La Cholita is a little pricey if you want a proper meal (if you're like me, you'll need to order a fair few tacos to get your fill) but the food and drink is delicious and the staff are helpful and attentive. If you like Mexican food (or tequila) I'd strongly recommend a visit.

Very good food and nice place. However overpriced and we were welcomed by a very rude waiter.

Oh Wow! This place is amazingly good. We arrived with our 2 kids without a booking at 530pm on a Sunday and were warmly welcomed inside. Quick service, food delivery to table and delicious everything! We’re in the big smoke for just 3 nights and our kids have already told us we have to come back on our last night. Make sure to have a margarita- makes the rest of the evening sublime☺️. Etas muy muy Rico!
