Book a banquet for Chinese New Year. Rather disappointing; the price was over the top, out of the 10 courses less then a handful were good, the order of the dishes coming out was all over the shop, then a mix up order and to top it off no plate to eat the desert. However the staff did try their best to accommodate us.

Not a bad place for a casual dinner. The food was overall good and priced reasonably.

Started in my uni days and now 16 years later roughly. They are back to their old location, behind the old shanghai northbridge. The owner is always very friendly. Always attentive. Atmosphere has always been great. Its the whole charm of the place, service and food. Came here for chinese new year yesterday. They had the lion dance and some of the old favourites were still great. Food came out quick. We had Fuzhou tofu, Hot and Spicy squid, Hot plate beef, Crispy Pork Belly, Fried spring chicken and Ice Kachang for dessert. They all were delicious. Thank you for a great night.

Authentic food, friendly service and good flavour. Wait time was a little long though.

Never go this place again. We booked the table at 6:30. Waitress is very RUDE. We tried to order some entree first, but she told us there is another booking on 8:15. We better quick order all of the food and finish them before 8:15. When we booked the table, she never tell us it's only for two hours. Otherwise, we will never book this table. We tried to finish the food before 8:15, but there is no other booking for our table. Other tables were free too. She is a liar. The food is pretty average. Strongly not recommended.

Found this restaurant by accident and truly enjoyed the good food and service. This restaurant is run by Malaysian Chinese and the food variety is awesome. We couldn't help to visit this restaurant again before we leave Perth the next day.

Wide variety of hawker food selections. They have medium and small portion options for menu items which is nice. Food however is just mediocre. Not horrible but not great either.

Overall good experience but just need to tweak a few things to improve some minor details. Like the menu ( two a4 sheets stapled together that look 10years old ) and general cosmetics issue otherwise authentic tasty food

Best Malay food you can find in Australia, and very reasonable. We only paid $24 a head and had a full dinner, with many dishes. My favourite was the Marmite Ribs, as well as the Squid. The atmosphere is like a typical Hawker market in Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia: so cool that they have recreated this in Perth! Enjoy!

Great experience here recently. The food was great, especially the Kway Teow and the Western Butter Chicken. Cold drinks and excellent service (with a smile) from the young lady from Taiwan. We will be back.

If you're looking for cheap eats with mates, come here. The food was quick and easy to order. I've been here a few times and forgot to take photos, I was so hungry 😅 the photo is nasi lemak, flavors was there, but I needed an 💥

We ordered a few dishes and almost most need more salt/seasoning. Even the salt and pepper squids were lacking SALT. Food were super bland.

A case of paying for what you order? Aussie prices (inflation included) but Asian portions. Very disappointed. Won't be going again too soon.

Had the nasi lemak with beef rendang and it was wonderful. The sambal could’ve been spicier but it was still good. The rice and rendang was on point! For the drink i had kopi-o. It wasn’t my style cos it had less condensed milk in it but overall it still is a great experience. Definitely will be coming back!

Amazing food, awesome service and friendly staff. We went Friday night and are still raving about it. Very affordable dining. We have found our new favourite restaurant. Thanks so much to the kitchen and wait staff for making this a great experience.

Really nice food. I got the chicken curry and roti and spicy squid tentacles. Just wish the portions were a bit bigger. I only got half a container of curry and 2 small pieces of chicken so - 1 star for that.

Love the food at Hawkers. It's definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Perth. My kids favorite is the marmite chicken. I personally love the Japanese tofu. The best part is they have another brand Old Lane Eats that is also yummy.

I would give it 0 star! Food was terrible and had to wait over 45mins for my order. Definitely not the same owner/chef as the one on Francis St before.

My family and I ordered: Jiang Bao Beef (beef in a dark sauce. I think it was stir fried) Pork Chop King Both tasted good. The beef was about 22 and the pork about 18. Pretty good value. Service was fast. Place was heated which was good since it was winter

I found the food heavy on the salt and sauce even though they day no added msg. You should probably try it though, it was a packed house and we had to wait 15 minutes for a table at 7.30pm on a Friday so it had many customers. The serving size and price was about par for Northbridge and service was friendly and efficient so no fault there.

Nice place for a group dinner. The Marmite chicken was quite good and a group favourite. The fried squid was cooked nicely and retained the moisture while having a nice salty coating. The kailan was cooked with a healthy dose of garlic. The only thing I found was that the portions were smaller than expected but still a good place for a meal.
