A great cafe conveniently very close to my accommodation. Open early, great coffee and fruit toast in a comfortable, inviting space.

The wait and counter staff seem like they absolutely hate their jobs. The food is very tasty but too large in portions/servings. Bigger eaters get value for money but more delicate diners leave and waste their food.

Staff are great, always friendly and accommodating. I’ve been coming here for a while and they’ve made the effort to know my name and learn my order. Food is very well priced and always hits. The French toast is amazing, as is the eggs Benny. The boss is always super involved and helpful. It’s always a safe and family friendly vibe. High recommends for this Dome

From my point of view, this place is great. It may not be top-notch, and may not be gourmet, but the food arrives fairly quickly, and tastes great! I have had The Lot Burger and it was good. I can't comment on whether the meat is fresh or not (i.e. I don't know whether it was frozen) but it tasted good, as well as the other ingredients. The fries were great, even for my wife who is fairly picky with fries. My wife had the smashed avocado with a poached egg (we've substituted the ciabatta for wholemeal bread), and it tasted fresh and the eggs were fairly well made (though could have used another 15 seconds). We've moved to the Belgian waffle next. The waffle tasted freshly made, and was tasty. The fruit seemed to be fresh as well, and the ice-cream good, but not overwhelming. At a separate time, we've also had the fruit salad and the stack of pancakes. Both were well made, and fresh. The mascarpone cream added to the flavor. Overall, a good choice I would make again.

Joke of a business! There were 30 people waiting outside today at 7am (mostly tradesmen) because this Dome is too lazy to open at 6am on weekends like other Domes!

Alright coffee, good chicken avocado sandwich, terrible customer service. The girl at the counter looked unhappy to be there and a blond waitress was extremely rude when delivering both coffee and sandwich.

Dome is Dome is Dome! All the domes are pretty much exactly the same! This one was pretty stingy on the berries and marscapone that came with my pancakes but in saying that, the lady (with shortish dark hair) that brought our breakfast was very nice and friendly 🙂

I've been going to this particular Dome Cafe for years now and the best way to describe it is; friendly and consistent. The staff are nice and inviting, even when it is very busy on the weekends. The baristas have really nailed the almond and soy milk coffees in the last 18 months too. For a weekend visit, sit out in the sun and enjoy a brew and a Florentine.

A go to anytime we are in Perth CBD. Conveniently located at Westralia plaza right on St Georges tce. The eggs Benedict was fantastic, bread nicely done, smoked salmon with hollandaise, can't go wrong. Coffee always a good way to start the day. Service was good and meal service fast.

Cool diner vibe with a unique wide menu - chicken soup was a hearty lifesaver when I came down with the flu away from home. Potato rosti was a bit mid so not everything a winner, but still a fantastic place.

Nice Dome cafe with all the usual great Dome coffee, cake and savoury offerings. Staff attitude lets the place down though. Our server had a rather unpleasant attitude when taking our order. It was late afternoon on a Saturday, and relatively quiet, so that attitude was surprising. Other than that, good coffee and the chocolate mud cake was great. Plus good free WiFi as expected. Nice Dome cafe, just be careful with the staff and their attitude!

This is my favourite Dome Cafe ever. The service here is fantastic and I particularly love the upstairs booths. They are so comfortable and it's a great place to come on your own or with a friend to study while enjoying delicious food/beverages/coffee. The cafe music and background chatter create an atmosphere where all can feel relaxed and at ease.

You would think being in the hub of the city the staff would be trained well. When a customer is made to feel ordering a coffee is putting them out then there is a problem. Have to say a smile goes a long way. The barista however made a great coffee and the carrot cake was fresh and well presented.

Went for a work meeting, coffee was ok, had the big breakfast, somebody needs to explain to the cook, definitely not a chef, that poached eggs shouldn't come out lime golf balls, they were inedible, very disappointing, wont return.

Far and away one of the best cafe's in the city. Big enough that you can comfortably have a lunch meeting, enough small corners that you can have a morning brew by yourself. Toby and the gang take pride in what they do and it shows. I'll regularly be in there on a Saturday morning and I barely have time to get back to my seat before my coffee has been brought out to me (it's actually beaten me there on occasion). Always tidy, a great atmosphere, I simply can't go past this place if I have some time to kill in the city.

Dome is always a sure bet for a quick meal and was great to see them open on the public holidays. I had the ginger bread latte and the smoky beans and eggs with avocado on the side from the seasonal menu. The coffee was really nice, though I didn't get much ginger bread flavour more cinnamon (mind you everyone's taste buds are different) so still give it ago if that's a flavour you're into! Then the beans and eggs were really great too, super filling but lacked seasonings. Give it some herbs, salt and pepper and it's a 10/10. Thank you for the service!

What a wonderful way to finish off our stay in Perth with brunch at the Dome before heading off to the airport. We received a warm welcome from the young lady behind the counter and she was genuinely friendly and nice which made our time dining there most enjoyable. I could comment on the yummy food and beverages but I was most impressed by the service! Thanks 😊

Underwhelming. Food was fine not fabulous and the service was sub par. Was visiting Perth for the day and stopped here due to convinence. Ordered a chai latte and pulled pork sliders with chips - paid $28. Had to ask for tomato sauce a d was given 3 take away squeeze pouches. No napkins offered and nothing available on the tables. Expensive experience.

Went to the dome on St George Terace for my birthday. Hoping to have A romantic dinner, Was served Raw prawns. Confronted the manager and also the Chef. Felt very discriminated against as they would not give me a new dish. Left with the Raw taste of off seafood in my mouth still half hour later after leaving. Very rude and instructing. Would not recommend.

Brilliant location. Greatest 'elevator' music' I've ever heard - 'the Green. green grass of home' is still stuck in my head. Dome Westralia is a great place to have a coffee; people watch; do some journal writing - or whatever takes your fancy. A special mention goes to Lisa, the blonde English woman from Kent whose customer service on the front counter was simply first-class.

(Translated by Google) Dom Coffee, a must-visit every week, to tell the truth coffee itself is okay. But the environment in the store is very comfortable, whether it is studying or watching videos with a pad, I feel very comfortable. A good place for daily pastimes, you can call friends to spend the weekend lazily~ Hey, but when it comes to the first time I came to drink coffee, why did the little biscuits disappear?

The cuisine was good, ideally located. But ambience was spoiled by aircon not working on 35degree day. Most Customers had their menu swinging around their face to get some cool air. On enquiring staff said the building management not on site on weekends. Feel bad to give 2 star for Dome, but Valentine’s Day brunch was sooo ruined.

Not the best place to eat but affordable if you’ve spent all your money on holiday and you can’t go get a decent breakfast, kind of like the McDonalds of brekkie places. My pancakes were a bit soft and had a weird texture which I considered unedible.

  • 1/5 Malcolm H. 3 years ago on Google
I hate giving a negative review. The staff are great and the food is good. I’ve just left with a takeaway large chips that wouldn’t satisfy my 7 yr old! Spent $8.25 and I’d have gotten more if I’d bought one of those $5.50 boxes from a servo. I did go back and check that I had not been given a small by mistake and was told I was indeed given a large.

Quick and friendly service at the counter and for food service. The table didn't get wiped as it was quite sticky, I'd assume they just collected dishes without cleaning it. Ice chocolate was pretty good - it was with ice cream too. Waffle was quite sweet - if maple syrup poured into it, it'd be too sweet. The toppings: ice cream and strawberries - ice cream portion seemed not even 1 scoop.

Not impressed at all, as an expert Dometrotter I am appalled by what was served to me for lunch today. I ordered an avocado stack with salmon and a large cappuccino, the coffee was bitter and took me 3x sugar to mellow it out. The food, oh my gosh, the eggs were overcooked and had an immensely overpowering taste of vinegar. May as well have splashed vinegar all over the dish because that’s all I could taste. They were very shy with the avocado, I can only assume there is some sort of worldwide shortage and they needed to ration it out carefully. Worst of all (puke) the tiny offcuts of salmon they gave me were old, smelly, and had been cooked in parts (spearing very pale and had a mushy texture), it was so awful I was in fact grateful they rationed that out too with an obvious and careful consideration of the over-fishing of our oceans. Dometrotter score 1/10, feral, will not return.

Staff were friendly! Was one of the few places open for breakfast on a Sunday and were open earlier than the 8am we'd seen on Google Maps which is good! I had a mocha and scrambled eggs with bacon, my partner had vegetarian breakfast. Both meals were okay, a little dry though which was odd. Very pleased with the size of a large mocha and greatly appreciated the marshmallow! The decor here is fantastic.

Pretty good! The only place open when looking for breakfast on Sunday. The meal was nice, a bit dry and lacking flavour (salt shakers got a good workout), but well cooked, quick and fresh. Prices were a bit high for the portion size given. But, much kudos for actually being open!!

Never had more appalling service in my life. Working in this industry and managing restaurants I know the stress that larger parties can bring, however, the staff were not only incredibly rude but treated myself and the party I was with like a burden for using a service they choose to provide. Even before placing our order we were treated very cold and spoken to very shortly by multiple waitresses. We were told to our faces by an INCREDIBLY rude waitress that by us coming to have breakfast we had “ruined their routine for the day” and we should have had a booking. Correct me if I’m wrong, but you aren’t able to make bookings at Dome. I won’t be back. No excuse for such disrespectful behaviour. Maybe some staff training would help, or less arrogant staff that can act their age.

  • 2/5 Deb O. 2 years ago on Google
the issue here is lack of consistency & cleanliness….. i’ve been coming for years & can never tell what kind of service, version of chicken sandwich, opening hours or how dirty the tables will be…. the good version or the ‘are you serious?’ version; today almost every spare table is uncleared & they are apparently understaffed. Again. Cafes should always be clean & right now, with Covid fear always around the corner, you’d think standards would be higher not lower! i definitely come less than i used to but, given i work close by, few meetings are held here… i just bring my own wipes!

We were a bit annoyed as the second we walked in we were ambushed by someone telling us they were shutting in 30 min and the kitchen was closed, which was fine as we were only there for a takeaway drink, we got to the counter and before we had a chance to order our drinks we were told ‘we shut in 30 minutes’. Neither of these staff members bothered even saying hello and we could tell instantly they didn’t want us to order. We sat down to wait for our drinks and in that time we watched them do the same to about 3 other customer who they turned away. I understand wanting to go home on time but they were very rude. The drinks were good though as always at dome. Just disappointed in those two staff who made my family and I feel so awkward being there

whats happening to the dome cafe chain ? closures everywhere , are you going bankrupt ? or what is happening with some very bad decisions being made by top management, luckly there are other venues to go to, it used to be a great place to meet and eat but the ones that are opened dont seem to care anymore, franchised outlets seem to do better it looks like another hospitility , after speaking with the owner dome westralia plaza today 11/5/22 i feel that i have not done his venue any good etc, in actual fact i was not targeteting any particular venue , as i have never been there but the dome cafes in general, i was really targeting the dome head office for a reply but as in the past i never got any thing from them, it looks like mostly a staffing problem due to covid19 i apologise to toby if the review got to his venue that was not the intention therefore as a regular dome venue customer i have changed my rating to 4 stars as i would with all dome cafes, they still make a good cup of coffee, patrick

Ordered for mocha and banana bread, bread came after 10 min which I’m happy about, been waiting for the mocha to come for almost 20min, I already eaten the bread, went to the counter ask everyone there was, excusing myself as I want to follow up for my coffee, they were just looking at me blankly like I don’t exist, approached 4 different staff but everyone ignored me, only when I’ve shown frustration and disappointment was the only time they acknowledge me with my complain. Coffee came in my table, I ask if I can have it in a take away container as I was going to be late for work, it came quite quickly which was good but it’s less than half of the container, didn’t bother to complain as I’m sure I’m going to be ignored again. Can’t recommend such ugly service.

Sharing our absolutely 5 star experience with Tracey, while there was an unexpected delay with our meals Tracey was prompt in assuring that service was upheld and provided the utmost quality, when there was an issue with itself Tracey was more then willing to accommodate and correct it. As someone who has hospitality experience Tracy is an exceptional member of staff and upheld the industry standard.

We usually use this DOME outlet when we have business in the CBD. Can be busy but there service is quick, the coffee is great and breakfast is always well cooked. Our preferred Coffee outlet in that area.
