The dumplings are still good ..and so is the fried squid. Had a bad experience with the bbq pork noodles this time... too much oil on noodles and noodles overcooked. Its unfortunate but the bar has been dropped. Generally good food.

Limited vegetarian dishes. But better than a lot of dim sum places that have only desserts for vego. Still a pretty good feed. Staffs are friendly too.

I have been visiting over the years in the name of nostalgia, portions get smaller and quality has also gone through a little roller coaster, although overall it is still ok. Most of the time their chilli shuijiao needs a bit more luvin -- an extra dash of vinegar, soy sauce and chilli oil to complete.

Great selection, good atmosphere. If you are in the city and you haven't been here, then I highly recommend you give them a try. Filtered water, not tap water available at your pleasure, but why would you when they cheap and available beverages to suit your desire. We had several dishes and a delightful green tea for myself and it was all as expected, with the right accompanied sauces and all you need for a reliable dining experience.

Love this place. Especially if you’re after excellent dumplings, pork buns and pan fried sticky rice.. Easy ordering. Fast & friendly service. Crispy chicken Siewmai our favourite. Recommended for a tasty, well priced dim sum in the centre of Perth.

This restaurant doesn't have a large variety of dim sum, but, the food quality is good, e.g crispy duck rolls, pork dumplings, xiao long bao and sticky rice 👍

The food here is fantastic. Lots of veggie options as well. Most things are self serve so it is quite efficient. Will be back for sure.

Asian fast food at it's best, from the ipad ordering system too the great food, it's a winner every time. Well priced and well cooked it has never disappointed in many visits. Highly recommended if you're looking for quick, well priced Asian food on the go

Decent food, staff members I dealt with were kind. Nice easy ordering system. Not a terribly exhaustive menu but it's got some decent items on there. I had the soft shell crab, as well as both beef and curry chicken dumplings, with a side of shallot rice. Honestly the rice was the star of the show. I could probably go there and just eat that. Real tasty and arguably my favorite, but the crab and curry dumplings were pretty darn good. I got a pot of oolong tea which was also very very good. Oolong tea rarely excites me but this one was quite delicious, so I highly recommend giving their teas a try, even though they are $5ish a pot.

A central, convenient chinese restaurant. Acceptable prices and average serving portions make it an okay place to stop by to satisfy a craving, but not anything remarkable to go out of your way for. Fried squid is below par for Perth's chinese restaurants. Dumplings meet a standard of quality you wouldn't be dissatisfied nor astounded by. Pork buns were the standout of my meal. A fine place to go if you don't have the time to visit the bigger restaurants in Northbridge.

Took my friend here for her birthday as the photos look good. Don't be deceived, the photos don't always represent the truth. It was about 4 pm when we arrived, there was, I am guessing, a patron that was seemingly sleeping/resting their head on the table. Some tables have been used and yet to be cleaned. The place simply does not look tidy. The ordering system is to either use their tablets or use the code to scan with your phone and the staff will bring the order. They forgot to serve our drinks so I had to get up and ask. Food is the same taste as other dim sum, just a bit more expensive as this is in Perth. So overall, I would recommend other places in Northbridge which is not far from the CBD.

Great food and fast service. Good dimsum place. Obviously city-prices, but it is still yummy. You can also order Chinese food as well as dim sum. Relatively Vegetarian friendly too!

I’ve been coming here a lot over the years but I’ve got to say the food is rather bland now and has no flavour like it used to have. Service and atmosphere still good however. I’m afraid I’ll think twice about coming back. Far better options around the city.

The food was very delicious and quick to come (went on a Sunday afternoon ~1PM). The wonton prawns soup was delightful and the spicy fish had a nice hot quick. Relaxed atmosphere. Venue could accommodate a large group in different tables.

If you are looking for authentic dimsum, try BamBamBoo! We ordered siew mai, pork bun and chicken noodle and they are delicious! You’ll have to try it!

  • 2/5 Kim A. 1 year ago on Google • 101 reviews
I was not impressed with the dim sum here at all, considering the fact that the reviews are decent. 1) We ordered the soft shell crab bao - the soft shell crab was extremely salty. 2) The fried prawn fritters were mediocre - they weren’t served warm. It seemed to me that it had prepared way beforehand before being served to us. 3)My husband enjoyed the siew mai. 4) The steamed salted egg buns were definitely not freshly made. The filling was still powdery. The texture of the salted egg was very odd. 5) the Calamansi drink was prepared by mixing powder with water. What really turned me off was the number of tables that had dirty dishes that we were not cleared. (Shown in the video in the review) it was attracting all the birds since there was leftover food. Disappointing experience overall.

Kinda overhyped if I’m honest. Was thoroughly disappointed with the price u paid vs what you got. Although the chicken and rice was super tasty, the duck and noodle dish was practically just bone with minimal duck. Disappointed in the dumplings. I’d pass for alternatives in the vicinity.

some say this is overrated, but went there with two other friends and spent $11 each and we were full! Great service, innovative and creative way to eat dim sum! Would definitely go again

Located very central in the city of Perth this is our go-to place. Plenty of dishes to choose from a wonderful range of noodles, rice and BBQ dishes. Had to get used to the ordering system on the iPad but after many visits got the hang of it. Friendly service, clean and resonably priced.

Really nice Chinese food. Decent prices, good serving sizes and very quick service. I like that you can order on the tablets available and then go up to the counter. Definitely more designed for sharing platters. I got the vegetarian dumplings and loved them!

I were there yesterday about 4pm, I not sure because too late, chicken foot was no tasty and very oily, maybe long time in the cooker, dumplings was good 👍

Glad to find this little treasure open on a busy Saturday night. We had beef dumplings, pork bao and sticky rice. The servers were lovely and checked to see how our food was. Well priced, delicious and fresh. The food came out piping hot, the bao were the fluffiest my son has ever had and said the pork was so soft. I loved the sticky rice full of shrimp and mushroom and covered in omelette style egg. Will definitely be back when in the city.

Wanted to try the prawn wontons but couldnt decide the soup or dry version(chilli oil) so I had both and no regrets! Big portion and full of flavour!! I'll come back for this again!

It used to be really good! The food is still delicious but the waiting time is more than 40 minutes!! What upset me most is my friend ordered food after me already finish her two ordered food and I am still waiting for one order 🤣 what’s happening?!!

After seeing the reviews we had hopes of a quality meal and service. We were welcomed after the staff members had finished their conversation and they cetaily had a CBF attitude. We sat outside which hadn't been cleaned for a long time as the floor was stained with what looked like years of grime. The food came quickly which was great and 4 of the 7 dishes ordered were okay. As big fans of yum cha and dim sum we were disappointed. Better service and cleaning would be a BIG help!

A really clean open aired Chinese restaurant. Interesting and quick way of ordering, banks of Ipads where you make your decision. Once you've completed your order you pay at the counter. Definitely a really good free flowing concept. My dish was roast duck and rice.

Purely by chance and looking for lunch in the city we were lucky enough to find this place down the side of Forever New boutique . It's an Asian restaurant serving food in bamboo steamers along with other dishes. We ordered at one of the many iPads placed inside the restaurant then you go and pay at the counter. We did have a bit of a problem ordering which was our fault but a member of staff immediately came to help. The food was delicious and plentiful and lovely and hot. It's very basic inside and out but if you are looking for lunch or a quick meal it would be difficult to pass this place. We do have a favourite Chinese restaurant in Perth if we are eating late in the evening but we will definitely return to BamBamBoo as soon as possible

We tried the night before to have dinner here but the kitchen had closed early. Lucky for us they were open for lunch the next day! Very busy little spot and a great concept with ordering your food on a tablet and then paying at the counter. It did however create a bit of congestion and you had to be careful picking up your food and walking back to your table. The Xia long bao’s were very good but the star of lunch was Honey Bbq chicken and rice - really tasty and a big size!

This eatery is OK, I think there are better places to eat dumplings at a cheaper price and ordering at a stand on the ipad was a weird experience. I won't be returning here anytime soon. Glad I tried it to know what its about but not a favourite unfortunately

  • 3/5 Harley P. 3 years ago on Google
Firstly, the food was good. Unfortunately the service was really ordinary, every surface was sticky, and there wasn't enough clean up staff so there was food scraps 60% of the tables. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. Having said all that, I'd get food from there again, but take away only.

  • 1/5 Vivien K. 3 years ago on Google
One of the worst dinner I've had. The chicken and rice and pork and rice are tasteless. The quality needs to improve.
