bad coffee, bad croissants and bad service. overall trash. waited ages for my croissant to be toasted and then watched it sit on the kitchen window sill for 5 minutes before i took it upon myself to grab it whilst they continued serving new customers instead of just quickly handing it over. the croissant was dry and basically burnt but the tiny amount of cheese it held hadn’t even melted. i was really craving a delicious cheesy croissant and was sorely disappointed. for an overpriced croissant i was expecting a better experience than this. thanks for ruining my day coffee club. i may not have a good memory but i will never forget the dry flaky pastry eradicating any moisture in my mouth and any joy in my life.

I don’t normally leave bad reviews but felt it was important to do so in case owners are monitoring. I quite often go to this branch in the city and didn’t have problems before but yesterday was complete disappointment. I ordered green tea and piece of brownies. When I poured my tea in the mug I saw that there were lipstick stains ( I don’t use lipstick), went to tell to staff, barista guy said:” ah ok, I will just change the mug” . Considering we are still going through pandemic phase let alone basic hygiene it is absolutely unacceptable. No apologies, nothing as if it was normal for them. Will not go there again, disgusting.

Really disappointed with the wait staff. They werent helpfull and looked like they didnt want to be there. But the food is still very good. So maybe order take away is best. Recently i went again and the food was so bad. They hardly out any pesto on the bread, the egg was hard boiled , and there was so little tomato that it was just like eating bread.

Can’t give no stars have to give at least one star. My food was ok, would have been better if my friend got what she actually wanted, she ordered the veg big breaky and wanted to swap the eggs for extra mushrooms or literally anything else. They could’ve swapped them let alone charge her less. RIDICULOUS mushrooms were a few slivers of whatever they were, COLD, they managed to make the “baked beans” taste like sheit

I came here to quickly get a bite to eat before work, I ordered banana bread and an Iced tea. I understand that they are busy, but My banana bread came 20mins later, drenched in butter, you’d expect them to ask if I’d want butter on, but given the sign said dairy free I thought it would be okay. and my iced tea wasn’t even being made until I mentioned I was in a rush, I was disappointed as I paid $6 for this and it tasted like literal water, I was going to get a $2 bottle from woolies, but I thought I’d treat myself. I don’t want to sound rude but I was very disappointed with the service provided.

Not impressed with "signature eggs Benny" very dry and not looking nice either. Also didn't appreciate children begging for a "fund raising event" outside in the seating area. This was totally ignored by staff.

QR Code scan and order made it so convenient. Not a long wait at all and the food was fresh and very tasty.

Nice corner cafe at Hay street mall. Got the strawberry pancakes, salmon eggs ben and ceasar salad. All good!

This coffee shop is usually quite busy. Large variety of hot and cold drinks available to suit the whole family. Food is usually fresh and tasty. Done in or take away available. Wheelchair and pram accessible . Credit cards excepted.

A nice convenient place to have a coffee after shopping in the city. Nice selection of cakes. Unfortunately the younger waitresses are not very service oriented and they are not responsive when I requested them to help clear the table. I would love to come l again if not for such bad attitude.

Potato chips were so-so. Latte was a bit bitter, they forgot to stir in the sugar. Nice experience with the on-table ordering. Friendly service, convenient location next to the train station.

Nice place to sit, relax and have a break. Nice coffee, sandwiches and French fries. It's interesting to see that lots of pigeons got used to food items served. These will wait for sometimes, and when you leave the table, they all come to have leftovers.

If you want to have good breakfast, must try this cafe and it’s peaceful environment . We ordered hot chocolate and Toast with half fry eggs,+ full fry, cheery tomatoes and (addition of hash brown) Ambience was 9.5/10 Food 9/10 Service 8/10

Could try with some training for manager and staff on Customer Service as there is none. One of a number of problems was that after we ordered and paid, the order arrived, which was totally wrong. We were told there would be no refund for what arrived as they could not return it to the kitchen, and if we still wanted what we ordered, we would have to pay more. Will not be going back.

If you order what’s on the menu below the picture you will get half of what’s on the picture, if you want what’s on the picture they will charge you 3 dollars extra, the toppings are generous and tasty but there isn’t enough bread to eat them with, if you ask for the other half of your ciabatta (again as advertised on the menu) surprise! They will charge you extra again… Friendly staff but get your menu fixed, was an annoying breakfast this way.

This is the second time I’ve been to this location and it is the second time I’ve received full cream milk as opposed to oat when asked. I approached the young lady at the front politely (since I too am a barista😉) and asked if there was a chance it could be remade. I would like to state that I was very apologetic for THEIR mistake and I was really cool, calm, and collected about it, because I know what it’s like to work in the industry. She sincerely apologised and informed the older man who was making coffees during the shift 4.30PM (23/1/2023) and as opposed to simply replacing the mistaken drink, he proceeded to loudly complain that he had indeed used the right milk. After carrying on, he proceeded to wave the oat milk in front of me and state that “this is the oat milk we use” repeatedly. Had I been given an opportunity to speak, I would have been able to say the texture of the milk tasted like full cream but whatever. I am very aware of my body and the difference in stomach aches caused from a good quality coffee bean (which this is not) and one caused from consuming lactose that I literally cannot have due to high intolerance. Lastly, as opposed to simply apologising for the mistake and remaking the drink correctly, he proceeded to quickly make a coffee (that didn’t even have the extra shot I paid for) and plopped it at the front saying “it will taste the same as before”. At this point I was incredibly shocked by this man’s reaction that I could only respond with “ok”.The man went as far as making the girl smell the coffee to back him up, to which there was clear uncomfortable hesitation. The girl on the till looked so embarrassed with the interaction. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and product, avoid honestly. Most watery, non flavourful coffee you’ll have made by someone that’s obviously lost their passion for their job and is stuck doing something they hate for a living. Obviously this is a reoccurring problem if the other staff members were not surprised by his little outburst. If someone with this much arrogance is allowed to put customers in such uncomfortable and unnecessary positions because of a lack of accountability, this store should re evaluate their staffing choices, because quite frankly, I felt unsafe and afraid to drink the coffee he added water to, so I ended up binning it. Used to visit every time I’d be in the city, but to be honest, you’re better off saving your money and going elsewhere.

My parents and I had afternoon tea here yesterday. The service was great. The carrot cake was fresh and moist. They even offered fresh cream or ice cream. The cappuccinos were lovely also. It was an enjoyable experience and we'll be back.

We asked for an Earl Grey Tea with lemon (specifically asked for water and tea bag separately as I like weak tea - not a complicated request!) and an English breakfast tea. The waitress brought it over with the tea bag in the water and it was very strong. I said that wasn’t what I asked for - instead of apologising she very resentfully took it away and eventually I got what I ordered! The chocolate brownie was delicious but the service was appallingly rude.

Ordered a mango frappes and even re-checked with the girl behind the counter if it will be that thick frappe as it should be but NO as soon as I sipped not only that the texture was liquid juice like but the taste is so obviously artificial mango taste and is not even yummy. To think we pay $8 to drink an artificial mango taste liquid😩

Had a delicious orange and almond cake. Nice place just wish there were less pigeons in the outside seating area. Still a nice place for a quick bite to eat.

Noticed the coffee was frequently hit and miss and when I started paying closer attention to who was making the coffee at the time I realised that every time the coffee was bad it was the same guy. I never said anything before but today I did say something as the coffee tasted really week and burnt, again. He did not take the feedback very well (although he did offer to make a new one, which was nice) he said it was probably my dislike of the coffees beans they used or something… unfortunately now that I’m aware of this I won’t be coming in when I see he is making coffees. I think his baristas do an excellent job at making the coffees and perhaps he should leave them to do this job as they are very good at it. Otherwise, super lovely and friendly staff.

I truly liked the Vegetarian breakfast. It was very yummy. Good on the Chef on service. Even the place was busy on Sunday midday from my point of view the service was good. Thank you

Had the poached eggs on toast - nice but a little overdone, soup was well priced but average. Coffee was nice.

Went there. Was busy but staff were super respectful and helpful. Helped me get a table when appeared there were none. Super quick as well! Like even tho it was packed took 10mins to get my breakfast!! Super friendly, clean and helpful staff. Recommend you go :)!

The crowds fooled us. Food took 35mins to come and was cold and tasteless to boot. The cafe is understaffed and what little staff there is seem utterly clueless as to where the tables in their own restaurant are. The best thing on the menu is the bottled water.

Tried limited edition Butterscotch Iced latte and it was yumm 🤤.

Rude staff and bad and expensive tea and coffee. Staff got upset for not knowing my table number. If i knew you had to sit down first and hog a table I would have. Avoid the joint. Go to Coal River Farm instead. It’s quiet and staff are lovely

Have always loved the coffee club and the food. Unfortunately though, we spent the best part of our lunch dodging pigeons flying at us from all angles... Not a nice thing to deal with while you're trying to tuck into your food. This grievance aside, I can't fault this business

I went to order Long black w extra shot and Cappucino Soy and Muffin ($5)Charge me $14.5 my coffee club member card. The staff over charged me and still arguing. Very unprofessional.. not even apologize

Extremely fast service, couldn't be happier about that in the city. Both people I interacted with were kind and helpful, the restaurant was clean and orderly, and even though it was quite busy I got my order in under five minutes. Will absolutely return.

This was pleasant until my son needed to use the toilet and when we came back our table had been cleaned of our meal and taken by other customers. The staff were sorry but did not offer any compensation. My son had barely touched his meal.

Food was good, but didn't really appreciate the waitress slamming down my plate without even looking at me and walking off before I could ask for sauce. I get that it's a Sunday morning and it's busy but I watched all the other staff and they weren't slamming other customers plates down like it was serving time in a prison cafeteria.

I wasn’t expecting too much but it is Affordable and WAY better than Dome!!! The food is actually made with love and made really well, not like it was frozen and taken out like 5 minutes ago. Definitely recommend the caramel espresso frappe! Service is good too. Pretty impressive for a national cafe chain.

It’s reallly surprise me! Just looking pics feel quite funny. I think their chef maybe on holiday someone else cook this for us :(
