Pro tip: Not to be confused with UWUUU, COOEEEE is a call, perhaps a mating call in Strayan slang. This place is good when the sun is fresh out and the sun is fresh down. The food is solid, breakfast or dinner. Let's start with brekky. My eggs had the perfect runny texture and my brioche was softer than the pillow I sleep on. Dinner was bomb. It's hard to beat Aussie meat and the steak here is a testament to that. The rest of the meal was also delicious. Obviously the view of the river is the highlight here, even though you can't see it much during the night, but you know the river is there, staring back at you. The service was very friendly for the most part, and even though it's a shnazzy place, it won't break the bank, unless of course, you're already broke.

Securing a booking within the same week wasn't easy, had to go on the cancellation list but lucky enough to be called up for a cancellation for 530pm. A short but proud menu of some strong dish options. We ordered a few starters to share within our group of 5 which were amazing. 4 of our 5 mains came out together (the Linguini we had 2 orders but only 1 arrived), whilst we enquired about the missing order we realised they didn't put it through correctly. The server apologised for the error and let us know it wouldn't be long (took 25 minutes). The Linguini clams turned out to have a strong presence of sand in the clams which was very noticeable for our whole group who tried it. The manager took our feedback and offered another meal but did provide the feedback that they don't open until being cooked and you cant get all the same out. The other food was really good, recommend the spatchcok and Steak Tartar Desert menu didn't appeal to us View was across the water of the Swan River

Very nice Brekky, lovely views, friendly service. The coffee was also very good. Seemed to be a lovely spot for a morning meal. Unfortunately I was too hungry to get photos before I began eating! 😀

Lovely boutique venue with contemporary fit out and beautiful views. Menu looked wonderful and we ordered a chilled red to start. Was told it doesn't pair well with food but we were OK giving it a go anyway. It is one of our favourite varieties and when we continued pairing this with our meal I felt we got a more frosty reception. Filling our own glasses and a much more straight faced interaction than the tables around us. One bad server can often tar the overall experience and this was definitely the case in this instance, added to by seeing her eat her evening meal behind us later in the night. Does it really matter what the customer eats or drinks if they enjoy it? The food was divine, well seasoned and paired beautifully.

This place might be a tad tough to get to if you’re driving, the parking situation is interesting since you have to park across the road but by no means is it a dealbreaker. The first thing you’ll notice is the venue is beautifully appointed and surrounded by some amazing scenery of the swan river and it’s surrounds. The food is on a constantly changing menu, and the flavour pairings are brilliant. The smoked beef tartare was a favourite for me - one of the best Ive had. While the prices are definitely in the higher region it makes sense, they put a lot of attention into their dishes and it shows in the flavour and presentation. Very ideal place for lunch or brunch!

A fantastic location. Looking out on the river and Perth city. This venue is part of the when we have to clear couple on Saturday Andrew Forest empire. A very professional service crew. Great coffee and food in a beautifully presented venue. The breakfast options were quite reasonably priced. Will come again.

Literally worth more than a 5 star dining experience. I booked a $190 for a Valentine’s Day dinner, there was a set menu and it was so delicious. I would eat here over Epicurean or The Atrium at crown (overrated), the food served here is about QUALITY not quantity. I had never tried oysters (Confit Leeuwin coast Akoya) or clams (shark bay Venus clams, roasted tomato butter) before coming here last night and they were both so yummy. I loved everything about the menu. the entree which was house made focaccia, local stracciatella, shark bay Venus clams = 10/10 Mains = Cone bay barramundi and roasted Angelina eggplant, macadamia yogurt, chilli was perfection and was our favourite. Sides = French fried potatoes, celery heart salad = delish. Dessert to share = strawberry tart, white chocolate, whipped cream and cooee truffles. = SO GOOD. Also another favourite! The ambience, views, service from our waitress and food was excellent. Really craving the roasted Angelina eggplant and dessert even the next day. 🤤. We were also facing the water and city with only one table beside us, considering I don’t like sitting in the middle between couples I was happy with our seating facing the wonderful views, it has a lovely indoor/outdoor feel.

I absolutely love the design and aesthetic at this place! Sitting next to the water has an absolute amazing feeling. Wine list is reach. Food in my personal opinion is good, but I believe it can be a bit better. My crab pasta was a bit overdone and on the menu they had no mention there is an onion added on pasta. However, I’ll definitely come back to give it a second chance.

Thought it would just be “just another branch place”, but the food was good. Period. Very well done sour toasts, steaks, inventive recipes, highly recommended!

One of the absolute best locations in Perth (especially to watch fireworks). But… the food poor. I ordered a $40 chicken dish and it was terrible. Dry and tasteless. Chicken is simple, they need to do better or they won’t last long.

Beautiful decor and outlook, excellent for a long lunch, service was on point and we didn't feel rushed , could enjoy sitting on the couches with a drink after we had finished our meal. Excellent recommendations on wine, all the dishes were a great balance of different flavour combinations

Our group booked in for the Cooee chef’s dinner experience. Chef Steve took us through an illuminating culinary journey- highlights included the albany rock oysters with black pepper mignonette, the kingish with rhubarb ponzu and succulents, rib eye with tarragon verde and the strawberry sorbet with lychee. The ingredients were fresh and high quality, the sauces incorporated unusual local ingredients, such purslane, pigface and fingerlime. The staff were engaging and warm. The wine pairings were a joy- the L.A.S. Albino was such a treat. We’ve had degustation dinners around the world and the Cooee Chef’s Experience was right up there- superb quality and perfectly low key for the Perth vibe.

Oh .. one of the best restaurant meals that I have had in a long time! My beef rib was to ‘die for!’ Every mouthful felt indulgent! The sides, especially the charred grilled Brussel sprouts were so flavoursome. Fantastic customer service - all the staff are very people-oriented and contributed to my overall 5 ⭐️ experience. We’re heading back there next month to savour the chef’s set menu with friends. I’m sure Steve will work his culinary magic for us again. 🪄 PS: The good was THAT good, I had the remainder for lunch today - see empty container! 😂

Love that this place is open early. We enjoyed a good 25min walk from city along the river front to enjoy a coffee and fuel up for the walk back. Stunning interior and super friendly staff. And, of course the views are beautiful.

We had made a reservation for 12.45pm and arrived earlier than expected. They seated us outside, where we could dine with a view and enjoy the breeze. The starter was ready in 10 minutes. I was looking forwards to our mains after finishing our starter. It's been 30 minutes and nothing has been served. It gets very cold waiting outside. As a result, I approached one of the waiters to enquire about it. We waited nearly an hour for our main courses.⁣ ⁣ We always order beef medium rare. Some parts of the scotch fillet are cooked perfectly, while others are not. There are also a few pieces that are difficult to chew and dry to consume.⁣ ⁣ Service recovery: A waiter came and apologised for our main courses taking so long to arrive, so he offered us complimentary drinks. We opted for hot chocolate instead of alcoholic beverages. That's a nice gesture. (Although i prefer that they could offer side dishes instead because we are still hungry haha)⁣ ⁣ We ordered ⁣ ⁣ 👍🏻𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐩𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞, 𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 $𝟓.𝟓𝟎 (𝐏𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞)⁣ 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘺 👍🏻 ⁣ 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝⁣ ⁣ 👍🏻𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞, 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐛, 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞 $𝟗⁣ ⁣ 𝐆𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭, 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐝, 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭 $𝟓𝟖⁣ ⁣ Overall, it’s a nice ambience and great place to chill on a saturday afternoon. Do wear warmer if you want to sit outdoor. Also, it will be great that hot beverage is served hot

An beautiful location and view to while away a Saturday lunchtime and early afternoon. The food was superb (akoya followed by steaks) and the service (thank you Ophelia) was excellent. Take a bus to be delivered almost to the door to allow some indulgence with the delicious cocktails and wine.

Another beautiful meal at Cooee. Got to be the best Perth restaurant on all fronts - food, wine, service, ambience. Thanks Cooee for a wonderful evening & to Joseph and Brontë for friendly service.

My husband and I dined here just recently. We ordered some entrees the sweet potato hashbrowns, beetroot salad and focaccia. All dishes were delicious and full of flavour. We ordered beers and mocktails which were also yum. For our mains we had the sirloin and steak special accompanied with fries, celery salad and asparagus. Everything was delicious, great flavours and serving sizes. Our table was great in a perfect spot with a lovely view. Our waitress was so lovely attentive and friendly the whole time. Our whole experience was great and we definitely recommend it to others. It’s perfect another for a romantic dinner date or lovely dining experience. We will be back thanks to the Cooee team, it was all brill!

Gorgeous setting right on the river and a relaxed vibe. Good wine list and service. Only complaints would be about the crab pasta which had zero flavour or texture and the 40 minutes between orders and delivery.

What a place! What a view! What amazing food! I went to Cooee recently with my family as a group of 12 and we had the set menu which was brilliant. The service was fantastic and the food even better. We ate our weight in food and drank some beautiful bottles of red wine! I will be back again and again after a very enjoyable experience.

Always a special experience at Cooee. The location is stunning alongside the Swan river and great views across to the city. A friendly atmosphere as you enter the restaurant, a friendly greeting from Amy who pampered us throughout our stay and a lovely table overlooking the river and city. Great service, great food and a beautiful venue.

The pasta was overcooked and excessively salty. The steak was too salty, and the fries were soggy. We ordered an extra serving of fries, and they were also disappointingly mushy. The chicken itself was tasty, but the seasoning underneath was unappetizing. I strongly advise against ordering the duck with figs dish – you won't know what you're eating! Their service is excellent, and the dining environment is pleasant. However, the food doesn't justify the price; perhaps they should consider changing chefs.
