It's in front of Petrrhof palace, overlooking Gulf of Finland,one can take a walk up to Gulf by 15 minutes. These fountains are not open through out the year. It closes in Mid October for winter time. So before heading pls check if it's open. There are more than 50 fountains,we were informed.the garden around it is so huge,it takes nearly two hours to completely visit.

Great place. You can see The Gulf of Finland, many fountains and parks. But the best option to go to this place on a sunny day

If you are on a tour of St. Petersburg Petersburg then you have to make sure you take a trip to Peterhof to see the Grand Cascade. The golden Fountains are amazing and really beautiful to see. There are so many of them you will be amazed at the sight of them all and the backdrop against the sea and the house. We'll worth the time to go there. It is a place we will never forget.

Grand Cascade at PeterHof. Site was selected as it allowed the water to drain from the higher hill slopes to the fountains and then to the Gulf of Finland. Looks good in summer and it must be pretty cold and frozen over in winter. The buildings, paths and fountains around this Grand Cascade are all arranged symmetrically.

All fountains were stunning

No visit to St. Petersburg is complete without visiting the world renown Peterhof Palace! It is truly a wonderful piece of Russian beauty, and it easily puts the Versailles in France to shame with its wonderful elegance and texture. You can walk around the forests, visit the palace interior, and to name a few. Enjoy it while you can!

Ein beeindruckender Ort und super schöne Sehenswürdigkeiten. Den Peterhof sollte man unbedingt besuchen, wenn man in St. Petersburg ist.
