Authentic Thai style and small floating market. Short walk within 15 minutes straight can cover all area. Very fasinating old town river front market. I am recommended. Anyther way to get in or out from here, or explore around the area is by boat. Approximately ฿500 per boat per trip. Nice for relax. Weekend the market and Thai dance show available.

Not many people visit this place. Some shops are just fun for play DIY decorations things. We like the food and drinks besides river bands.

Check out the floating market! You can take a free shuttle bus from the MRT station see the photo on this. The canal side area has really decent food selling. Good cheap price compared to the ones in central Bangkok. I would strongly recommend you to come here.

I recently find this place & heartfully fall in love with this. It is located 10-15mins walk from MRT Bang Phai. I do not know how lively it is before the pandemic, but I love how peaceful it is right now. There are less people, not so many tourists; it is definitely a great spot for those who want to get rid of the craziness of a busy city and pampering himself into a local vibe. You may forget about the time when being here. If you are looking for a spot where there is no noise, no honking, and full of fresh air, this will match you well. P.s: Don’t forget the Puppet show at 2PM only on Saturday & Sunday at the entrance of the market.

Edit December 2021 You won't find many people here most of the time.... It's really an older Chinese part of town, but the Chinese seem to have moved on. (See the bridge sign written in Chinese) If you're interested in authentic, old school Thai, this is the place. Interestingly there's actually 3 Temples at this location and I've been impressed with how friendly the monks are. You can easily get a good inexpensive meal and enjoy your visit. It's easy to spend a day if you're looking to be casual. Now that things are almost returning to normal, you can easily get a nice boat ride here too..

Great place to hangout in bangkok. They have few small shops selling local goods. small boat ride inside the city. We spotted an alligator laying side of the river. Best way to spot all the temples or wat on river sides. You can also feed fishes here

The place is small but it has lots to offer if you are into artistic things. The food at the restaurant there was also nice. You can make your own bracelet or perhaps paint your own souvenirs. The price of things are also cheap compared to the downtown area.

This was a quaint little spot. Lots of food, juice and shops on the edge of the river. A nice contrast in Bangkok, a quiet and enjoyable spot with a more local vide. Good to escape the city to see a little diversity. You can also arrange a boat trip along the river too. ask a local for help or pre book if you can! Highly recommend if you’d like to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a few hours. @spiffingtravels

A great place to relax and enjoy. There were very few tourists here when I arrived and I was surprised that the shops were open. There was lots of good Thai food. Feed the fishes too if you get a chance!

We were having breakfast not far from here, so we decided to visit this floating market. To be honest we expect it to be much bigger, but it was not that big. But it’s definitely worth the visit, with numerous local shop (food, cafe, arts, souvenirs) along the river. You can even feed the fish in the river which I found it pretty fun. It was good here not too crowded, we had fun here.

It's NOT a floating market with lots of boats. But its quite unique place to walk around and eat local food that taste quite nice ( crispy pork pad Thai taste so good). Mango sticky rice also nice.

Really nice place where you can have a tea or a lunch, buy some souvenirs and also paint in the artistic shop. You can also buy fish food and throw it in the river. I think that is the most authentic part that I saw with all the wood structures. We saw it the first time doing the canal boat tour and decided to go walking check by ourselves. Highly recommended

Accidentally stopped by this awesome place. A newly developed art house inside the floating market. The locals told me that this place became a new trending site for people to relax and chill. You will see different art pieces around the art house and enjoy the DIY paintings and necklace making. There are so many tourist boat cruising on the river and feeding the cat fish. You can get the fish food for 20THB and enjoy feeding the giant cat fish. You can also witness the giant Varanus salvator swimming around the river if you are lucky enough. I had the luck to see one but not fast enough to take a picture. You won’t regret spend half a day here just sitting by the river and walking around the art house.

Good for photo and great place to take a rest. Not interested in riding a boat trip personally. But you can feel free to join it if you have time. There are 45mins and 90mins journey.

Nice, local floating market. Worth a visit if you have more than couple days in Bangkok. The food is ok - some good snacks, but the Thai dishes you can get better in the city

I have a chance to visit there alone as a solo trip in bkk, Thailand 🇹🇭 I love that place because I can see old cultures such as food ,that menu you are hard to buy in normal restaurants. CULTURES, travel by boat and sell food on that boat by Aunties. I also visit art house make by uncle, I say to him about Can I take a picture 📸, him say ok and smiling to me as a cheerful person. Him have a lots of drawings picture 📸 AMAZING!! All look really real like a human stand there. Really recommend for visit there. Ah..recommend eat that menu call " Meingkham " love it.

Not really a floating market, it is just a few shops (though nice and charming) on the wooden pier at the canal street. It is a part of a boat tour, which I can recommend as a whole, probably the only way to see Bangkok from the water level perspective and experience the vibe of the city's suburban life. Make sure to bargain on the boat trip prices, they can get your kids for free and discount the adult price to a reasonable level around 1200 THB for the 2 hour ride.

I’m a Thai. I love trailing Thonburi’s canal neighborhood. I’m happy seeing tourists doing the same. But just the past couple of days I witnessed some rudeness by Thai residents towards tourists. Some horned their bikes so that tourists made way for them. Others didn’t seem friendly and even ignorant to answer simple questions. I feel bad. Please don’t do that.

Nice place to take a look of the floating markets without crowdedness.. people live there , specially if you walked on the internal and tiny streets… around the river it’s the touristic part, full of cafes just designed for foreigners, so be prepared cause it’s not gonna be cheaper (if we are talking about Thailand markets). You can take metro (subway) to go there (cheapest way) just for 36 baths

Beautiful and clean place. Our boat stopped here for around 30 minutes. There are cute cafes overlooking the canal. There is also a street which gives you a glimpse of a not so tourist version of Thailand.

It is a place that is far from touristic places which makes it a local experience... I spent 2 hours here watching the puppet show, sitting near by the river, shopping in art house and drinking... This is where I felt really local and exotic. On Saturday 14.00 pm there is a puppet show here, don't miss it...

Definately recommended. You get a good vibe which is different to what you see in busy bangkok. Variety of art craft shops that you can also sit down and make your own. You can also buy some fish food to end the fish in the river. I recommend going with the plain barley fish food at 10 bahts as the other ones seems to have colouring.

A great place to spend your time in Bangkok. You can not only buy souvenirs, bags, tshirts, necklaces from here, you can use your creativity and imagination to paint one for yourself and your loved ones, great collection of beads to make necklaces and bracelets. Loved the place, just have a sip of good tea, coffee, smoothies and just let your creativity flow while overlooking the flowing water and waving to people passing by on the boats. Local cuisine shops serve you amazing pad thai and noodles, pancakes. ❤

Nice vibes here, also thanks to a spike of interest by young thais always looking for a selfie. You can walk around this local community, buy some souvenirs, eat something or drink a coffee while enjoying the canals.

Nice and quiet place, little on the small side to spend long time. Gives great access to feed the fish of which there plenty. Cheap fish food for them as well. The food at one of the restaurants wasn't great, but not expensive too. At the entrance from the temple side, walk through the restaurant to access the river side shops.

Such an amazing day out in the market! It's quite small, only a few shops/restaurants/galleries but pretty amazing experience and a great way to see how some locals live on the river. Its the best time to see it as well,as some houses have already sunk and there wont be many woden houses left in the future as poorer families just cannot afford to rebuilt them. Visit it in the morning as the shops start closing down around 3ish

Beautiful village on a canal with a few coffee shops and restaurants. There's a free cultural show where the local kids perform at 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays which is worth seeing. There are a handful of tourists, but far away enough from the main tourist hotspots, so it doesn't feel crowded.

This floating market in Bangkok stands out as one of the finest. It preserves the essence of authentic Bangkok, echoing with traditional food and beautiful temples. It truly encapsulates the genuine spirit of Bangkok. The atmosphere is delightful, offering a range of activities like painting, shopping, and indulging in delicious food.

Went there with public transportation and 10 minutes walk from the station. No "Floating market" the day I went, only restaurants and crafts shops were open. Nice little walk along the river but in my opinion it's not worth it, if you have to travel over 30 mins to get there.

This place provide so many artworks along with the Thai culture. You can find a dish and drink here. The weather is absolutely HOT because you are in Thailand right? 😂 The transportation to get there should use public transportation because there is no parking lot for car.

This is a little cute town, not polluted with tourist traffic. The only issue that I have is Nothing is floating on the canal😜, it says “floating market” & I went there Saturday morning, but no boats, no markets🧐

A restaurant named Khun Aoi's kitchen is right before the entrance to Artist's house, delicious food, price 70 baht per dish, food quality suitable for price, clean, good atmosphere, sitting along the canal, feeding fish too, should try it.

Really nice place. Don't expect actual floating markets just a can that flows through the middle but overall really chill place. There is a bead shop/cafe where you can make you own bracelet for 100 baht really cool

The area by the port is quite a nice place to go around. Lots of food and fun stuff to do. But the actual boat ride wasn’t as exciting. Probably bec the route our boat took seems unusual and mostly showed us the houses along the river and no sellers on a boat. Might’ve been better to take a planned tour than DIY.
