Variety of menus. Rare dishes that cannot be found much place else. The taste of the dishes are on the more intense side. The service is slow. The entrance is narrow but there are plenty of parkings inside.

Reasonable price, walkable from Ari BTS and authentic Thai food. Highly recommended:) Not overrated Thai food and good for guests/tourists as well. Various of the menu and some is unique. I ordered recommended menu and I am happy with all dishes. It was tasty and rich like a Thai aroma. All ingredients are fresh. Service is the best :) They are well known for all the food here, you can easily consult with them.

They have common menu as well as unique menu list. An authentic long-time family style Thai restaurant in Soi Ari. The medium sized wooden house gives quite a nostalgic warm feeling. It is not a formal, but it is cozy,.warm, so it fits inviting guests here. They have tables in both main areas and separated rooms. Parking areas are enough for 7-10 cars. We ordered the (a) stir-fried glass noodle, (b) sour chili soup (Kaeng Som), (c) stir fried beef with chili and (d) vegetable set with shrimp paste dipping. The (a) and (d) are delicious. The (b) is too sweet, the (c) is so..so.

Great local, affordable, authentic restaurant. Very cozy setting, as if you're seating in someone's house. The sliced grilled beef is magnificent. Simple, yet it is so good. I love stinky beans, so the glass noodle with prawn and stinky beans is a must for me. The waitress recommended the dish with vegetables on the bottom. It looks like papaya leaves, not sure what it is. Very bitter. Maybe because she knew I ordered the bitter melon dish.

Recommended by our local friend, we had dinner here. We went there around 6pm, but the restaurant was already full. So, we had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated. The food was excellent, and we ordered a few different dishes to try. My favorite dishes were fried chicken wings and Tomyum soup. The whole ambiance was quite traditional, and most of their customers were local. We were a group of six, and we paid about 1700 baht. Very reasonable for the quality of food we had. The only thing that bothered was the waiting time. I think they could easily accommodate more people by rearranging tables outside (they could tidy up some of their stuff). I tried a few different restaurants in Ari, and by far this is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in this neighborhood.

All dishes are delicious, yummy, especially the beef is amazing. We came here around 12:30pm on Sat and they still have some tables available, not too crowded, i really like the atmosphere here and plus they have free parking space. We ordered alot and the total bill is 2000b/6people which is reasonable. Will come back here for sure. 1 of my favorite authenticity Thai food in Bangkok.

The food is more of salty and fragrant style. The "3 stinkies" stir fried does not taste and smell pungent like its name (at least for me). The fried beef in oil is soft, the beef is cooked at rare level.

Baan Pueng Chom is located on Phahonyothin Soi 7. Ari Samphan area. It is walkable from BTS Ari Station. Understood, the restaurant have been runing the business for 23 ++ years and its remain one of the most popular Thai Restaurant in Ari area. However, I could not be able to extend the rating beyond 2 stars due to: 1). Terrible queue up system 2). Grumpy attitude from the staff (the one inside the wooden house) 3). Food served not coming consistenly. One dish and another comes like 20 mins ++ gap 4). The signature dishes (oily beef) and stinky beans are not flavourful at all. It is quite dull & plain actually. It is quite a let down. The place remains super popular as many youtubers go there and review them. Outside seatings are pretty hot and have lots of mosquitos. There are parking available.

Cons: - Always crowded: The restaurant is often packed, so be prepared to wait for a table, especially during peak hours. - Staff service can be inconsistent: The staff is generally friendly and helpful, but their service can be slow and disorganized when the restaurant is busy. *** Reservations required: Reservations are essential for avoiding long wait times *** - Limited parking: The parking lot is small and can fill up quickly, so it's best to come by public transportation if possible. Overall: This Thai restaurant has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and the food is consistently delicious. The best, most authentic Thai food experience ever. A friend who had lived here for 25 years said he has never had better. I agree. I have been eating Thai food for the last 30 years and some of these dishes are unbeatable. Truly. And the price is incredible. The green curry, the fillet beef, the tom ka..off the hook. I am so happy I found this place. If I lived in Ari I would be here every day!

Tasty Thai dishes at a reasonable price. Fried beef with lime sauce was both unique and tasty. Other dishes were also good and well seasoned. The restaurant was quite packed for weekday dinner time. There were probably around 2-30 parking spots available on site, but coming here from BTS was easier.

Great Thai restaurant in Ari area. The best menu here is ‘Neur tod khun mee’ which is rump steak slice in cooked oil. It is a must! Other menus are also taste good with reasonable price. The restaurant has a parking lot or you can walk from BTS Ari around 10 minutes.

Another hidden gem in a bangkok street alley ! Very unassuming place where it feels like you are walking into someone’s home for a meal. Our waitress was genuinely friendly and tried her best to communicate with us in english explaining and making suggestion what to order. We took awhile to go through the menu with google translate because the menu is mostly in Thai with only some recommended dishes with pictures in English. The rump steak slice in cooked oil is a must try just like everyone said so here. If you love stinky/ strong beans or petai as we called it back in Malaysia, the stir fried glass noodle with shrimp is a triple must !! Other notable dishes like crispy catfish with neem salad, deep fried banana flower and soft shell crabs were equally enjoyable. Portion is on a smaller side but that also means you get to order more dishes to try. I made my reservation through their facebook page messenger and probably is the easiest way. We also brought a last minute birthday cake for our mother that evening and the restaurant helpfully keep it for us and brought it out with plates and light up the candles after our table were cleared without additional charge. Indeed we will visit again.

This place is great for dining in large group. There were about 20 of us and this restaurant can accommodate us (we booked in advance). There are great choice of Thai dishes available, their signature style Thai food has to be the southern style. The portion size was a bit small. The services though needs to improve, we asked the service several time to filled out our water and we didn't get refill till we almost finish our meal.

One of the best Thai restaurant in Bangkok. If you are going to eat your dinner here, I suggest that you get a reservation or there will be a waiting time for it. This restaurant is quite popular so be prepared to wait for a long time if you don't have a reservation.

This Thai restaurant is the most delicious in this area and has a very homey atmosphere. The staff provides friendly and personalized service. The food tastes extraordinary, with the Tom Yum Kung being a standout dish, rich and flavorful. Another must-try is the “Bear’s Meat,” a signature dish. The meat is in a slightly salty sauce, pairing perfectly with rice, striking the right balance of flavors. We were three people, ordered four dishes, and the total cost was under a thousand, offering great value. 🇹🇭🍲💙

Get the red curry! It's the house specialty and it's excellent! Spice level was perfect, good heat but not overpowering. Absolutely delicious. We had 7-8 dishes and all were wonderful, except the papaya salad. It was way way too fishy. No other flavor at all, we could not eat it. But wow that red curry was GOOD!

Food: 1. Glass noodles with 3 smelly veg (9/10). Well fried with good wok hei but flavours but not as flavourful as expected. Needs abit of umami. 2. Oily beef (8/10). Tender, but beefy flavours not v pronounced. 3. Gaeng Som (6.5/10). Thick, strong flavours but too sweet and less spicy than expected. Nice atmosphere, mostly outdoor seating.

The food was delicious with very reasonable price. I got all of their signature dishes like the 3 smelly veggies stir fried, the fried beef, and Tom yum beef tendons which I enjoyed all of them. The food came out quick despite how busy the place was. Anyway, I got there exactly at 4 pm and the place wasn’t ready and had to wait outside for a while until I got seated. I thought coming early meant that I will get to sit I. The AC room but I didn’t.. the staff led us early birds to the upstairs outside seatings which everyone seemed to be confused. In addition, I tried calling many times to get a reservation and they never picked up the phone. Thus, I’m not sure if I would come back here again.. the food was good but not that special.

This is the most favorite Thai restaurant in Bangkok. Because the price is reasonable and have a lot of parking space. It also have a lot of authentic Thai menu with Thai taste. Everything that I ordered they very yummy and taste. The portion per plate is properly. Please don't miss Tom Yum Neau Tun ต้มยำเนื้อตุ๋น. It is not the restaurant recommended but it is my favorite.

😐 Prices are standard, but the taste is merely average. This leaning towards a more tourist-friendly palette. For locals, the food falls into the "so-so" category—neither exceptional nor subpar. The service is commendable. Securing parking can be a tad challenging.
