It definitely a trek up the stairs to get here, be aware! Other than that, had a lovely stay here with good air-conditioning and a massive bed to myself :) Cons: - The receptionist seems to take her time and I had to wait 10 mins for her to show up. I didn't see her on my way out so I just left a note with my key card on the desk. Bit unprofessional. - Also be careful as it's poorly lit and it can be dangerous if you come back at night.

Hotel located up the hill, so be aware that you need to walk a lot of stairs to get to the place. Rooms are in terrible state and are just dirty. I don’t recommend it.:(

I am giving 1 star because I can't give 0. Please don't waist your money on this hotel !! Rooms are DISGUSTING, not clean at all it seems like they just did the bed after the last client. a LOT of stairs to get to your room, when you go up to your room at night, be ready to meet some frogs, lezards and other. When I got on the island, AMAZING clean affordable hotels. It is the worst hotel I've been too in Thailand, and the most expensive. Service 0/10, not friendly at all. RUN !!

The hotel price was fair enough. The room was OK, the best part was the view. They offer a pickup service at the Pier to help with the luggage. Staff will take it upstairs for you. The location was great. Be aware that you will need to climb stairs to get to the hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Staff gently carried our baggages from pier to the hotel, and then, to a big stair with a hundred steps or more. Those guys work so hard and this star is for them and the kind reception at hotel (and I feel really sorry, cause they did a good job). I think is important to make it very clear when it comes to the accessibility, in case someone has any physical limitation. When we arrived, the receptionist told us about a problem with running water, so they gave us 2 extra bottles to wash the face and brush teeth. However, what seemed to be a simple recommendation 'do not drink that', was actually a very rusty water, something to do with old hydra structures. When we came back from tours and beach, all we wanted was a nice shower, but incredibly we felt a little more dirty than before. That orange thing stick on skin and clothes too. Also the walls in the bathroom indicate that this is not new... The room is simple but is good. We were so amazed by the island, I mean we woudnt care about stairs .. Now, the water broke my heart into pieces and I'm so so sorry, PP Arboreal. You really have to fix it. You can make it better.

A bad experience ( sorry for the staff). We have stayed there 2 nights, bugs in the room, the water coming out of the shower and tap was brown (dirty), the sheets were brown because you had to shower. The hotel is very nice but not having to shower with dirty water.

We wouldn’t recommend this hotel: 1. the night we stayed, there were three cockroaches… including one flying. Sad to say but it’s ridiculous for the room cleaning. You don’t want to spend your night with a tiny room full of flying disgusting insects. 2. There’s no wifi in the room, only in the reception. 3. People said the view was nice, but it was not necessary. If you wanna see the view, go to the view point, with the hotel in the middle of the way to view point, people passing by your room and why is it needed? We changed our hotel the day after in front of the see, it’s much better. 4. This hotel is rather high so it’s far from the beach. In any way you’ll be tired from the sea and then walked all the stairs to go to your room. 5. No phone in the room, so if you wanna speak to the reception, good luck taking all the stairs again. 6. You think you’ll be far from the center because it’s high? No, during the night it’s super noisy with the party music. The only thing is that the hotel staff is kind, after the stairs and the cockroaches, we asked refunds to the staffs the day after and leave, they managed to do so. And thanks to the fact to change the hotel, we can finally appreciate this island.

We had read some bad reviews about this place and unfortunately they were right. The main issue is the owner is clearly very cheap. We had ants in our room and i told the man at reception who laughed at me and asked if they were biting. He sent two ladies with a duster but we had already sprayed them with bug spray so they said there’s no more ants and left. The wifi is also awful, it only works in some spots of the room, we told them this, they said an engineer is coming to fix it, yet there was no difference. We had to go and ask for toilet roll as they don’t always give you more when its needed. The bedsheets have stains on them and the pillows felt like bricks, i went and asked reception for a new ‘softer’ pillow and was told “there are only two pillows per room” which seems absurd given it is a hotel. They finally got me a new one which was 2x worse than the initial one. The staff are very abrupt and don’t try in any way to help you, the facilities are rubbish and you have to climb 100 or so steps (half way to viewpoint 1) to get there. I would not recommend this to anyone. The only good thing was some of the staff picked us up from the pier and carried our bags up the hill. I do feel bad for the staff here but it really needs updating massively and a slightly better ‘can-do’ attitude to guests. Yes it is cheap but i would recommend finding elsewhere.

I honestly loved this place. The stairs to reception weren't much, however, it is a workout if you are carrying a suitcase. There is no elevator so not accessible. These are the same stairs to all the viewpoints and they are steep especially as you climb up. The stairs to reception don't have railing, but as you climb past reception there's railing to hold onto. I stayed near reception so it wasn't bad, but if you have a seaview room you will be climbing a lot of stairs. I think that the view is worth it! The room was medium-sized. There was a/c, a fridge, a safe, tv, hangers, and complimentary coffee and tea in the room. There were ants and tiny cockroaches, mainly in the bathroom, and small spiders, but personally i didn't mind because I knew I was so high up. The bed was a bit hard for me and the pillow was very big and stiff and I ended up sleeping without one. At night you can hear nature and some of the music that is on the beach. I honestly was surprised to hear it being more up the mountain, but when I went to the beach the music was super loud. If you are a very light sleeper, I wouldn't stay here as you'd probably be woken up. This hotel also has laundry service for 50baht/kg. The price is the same everywhere else and when I received my clothing the next day it was folded so nicely and smelt amazing! When I needed help or had a question, the staff were happy to help and gave me the right information. They also had separate towels for me to take to the beach and they also have a bookcase of books given or left behind, which I loved! The location of this hotel isn't far away from anything. There is a 7/11 and many little mini mart type stores nearby. The beach is close by once you get a sense of direction (the first right by 7/11 and then the first left by the corner shop past the rehab hostel if I remember correctly). I would definitely stay here again! Hopefully I'll have a backpack by then!!

I’ll just start by saying it was the best view from a hotel room i’ve ever had. Also some people complain about the stairs, but we’re fairly fit and thought it was kind of nice exercise. Beyond that noise from night clubs nearby penetrated through the rooms (we were further in the back too) and carries on very late int@ the night. With ear plugs it was manageable, but what wasn’t tolerable was how the mattress is as hard as rock and is very old and warped. If you’re sleeping with another person you’ll roll inward into each other. Even in November its still swelteringly hot in the room without AC. But even at the lowest settings the AC is freezing cold, very strong and pointed right at the bed. We couldn’t sleep at all with the AC on or off. Our mattress also got fire ants partway through our stay and we checked out a day early. May be better than other hotels closer to the night clubs, but we had to leave.

Ordinary rooms, once there we upgraded to the luxury unit, and it was good. Great views, clean and comfortable. Definitely for younger folk! 229 steps to our room, steep and slippery. My wife slipped on the steps near the top, turned into a fractured wrist. Recommend that older, or less mobile folk find somewhere more easily accessible. Staff were friendly and helpful, very pleasant.

We didn't stay at the hotel, only ate at the restaurant. I ordered a costly noodle soup that tasted like instant noodles. The wine tasted like prune juice. The view is nice but that's about it. There are many great places to eat in Phi Phi, so avoid this place and choose them instead.

If you’re happy to climb 200+ stairs to your room each time you want to return then you will love this hotel. The view from this room is one of the best views I’ve ever experienced from a hotel. The staff are very friendly and do offer to carry your bags both up and down. I will stress though, if you’re not fit it will be a challenge to the top. Hotel is in great location once down all the steps and the island itself is beautiful.

Rooms were not the best, ants everywhere and there was a lizzard in our room as well. No shower curtains so the bathroom would get wet.. but nice view, half way to the viewpoint so if you're afraid of stairs or a little workout don't choose this

Good quality for that price. Balcony with a bay view, and all standard amenities. To get to the hotel a stairway climb required, 100 meters approximately.

The stairs were way too many at least 200 steps to get from the main ground where restaurants and shops are to the hotel. If you aren’t fit or an active person I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to you. The stairs are excessive. Staff came to the pier to get our suitcases to the hotel as there are no cars on phi phi island. The bed sheets were dirty yellow. The receptionist mentioned at check in that if we got the sheets dirty we would be charged for that, seemed to be that they don’t change the sheets for the next guest because why would dirty sheets be payable to the guest. There are mosquitos in the room so mosquito repellant is key. The bathroom skirting boards were full of mould.

The view was amazing. The hotel was clean and the room were nice. However, make sure you are in good shape to go there, you have more than 200 steep as f… stairs to go up. We are two in beg of thirties and we were sweating as pig

We have booked this property for two days. Good if you looking for a budget property. But make sure you’re in a good shape because you will need to climb around 200 stairs. I lost my wallet on the beach with all my money and key. We booked this hotel for 850 baht a day. And for the key Zaw the reception guy asked for 1000 baht and we requested Him that please try to understand that we lost our wallet with all the money but if you say we will pay 500 but he disagreed and said if you do t have the money then it’s okay you are no good and we felt really bad. I don’t want to leave phi phi on a bad note. I requested him to please have 500 baht for the key send someone with us with our luggage and we will withdraw and give: he clearly said no. He was rude that time and then my friend had 1000 so we decided to give him what he is asking but he clearly said no. We have just wanted to leave on a good note nothing else. All of my money was in my wallet and then all this happened. Also he didn’t sent anyone to take the luggage to downstairs. Yeah losing my wallet and the key my fault but even then I just wanted to leave it on a good note. We took our luggage and left like 200 stairs. Read all reviews and then book. A traveller and places like phi phi are running today because of travellers.

The rooms are nice but there are bed bugs. The room smelled very bad due to bedbugs. The view from the rooms is nice, but you have to climb 183 stairs. There are better hotels in the center for the same price.

Have to climb stairs which we didn't liked and was not written anywhere while booking. View from balcony was a bit satisfying after climbing up in uncleaned environment.

We booked in through booking and when we arrived to the pier we were the lucky that there was a men there with a sign that said the hotel name, he took our baggage on wheel barrow and just guided us to the hotel. It was absolutely crazy the amount of stairs of the hotel it was so exhausting to walk up every time we were going to the centre and specially at night that there were no lights. The stairs were mad and the worst it is that they won’t help you returning to the pier it is like a 15 to 20 minutes walk with all the baggage it is pretty a lot. The room it was super big and was equipped with everything but didn’t had hairdryer or shower cream, just had the soup bar which it drys your skin out. The worst thing of the room it was the smell to sewer it was disgusting it would came every time you drain the toilet or in the evening and morning it was disgusting and would stink all room all the time. As well the location of this hotel it was really far from all the shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The three days we were there we didn’t had the room cleaned or clean towels.

Can’t say anything bad about the resort, there was vegetarian option for breakfast which was nice, room is bright and with a great view. We had the top floor and there are 256 steps all the way from the bottom (yes, I counted). We came here from a different hotel so had to carry our own bags to the reception but from there a guy took my bag all the way to the top.

We didn’t stay here at the hotel but after visiting viewpoint 1 and 2 we stopped off at the hotel restaurant. The staff were very friendly and lovely to talk to. The food was delicious so much so we hiked the many stairs to eat here again. We found it considerably cheaper than anywhere to eat down in the markets. The view from the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking, highly recommended and can not wait to visit again when we’re back in phi phi!

Located near viewpoint. Plenty steps to climb up still no regret view is awesome. Rooms are ok spacious. Hot water heater was not working in my room. Staffs are supportive. Restaurant in hotel, food price is slightly higher. Place looks quite & peacefull. Best part located in viewpoint.

Nice hotel, had a 2 nights stay in a 4 people room. It was nice and quiet, be aware that there are some stairs to climb up to the hotel. Also everyday at 8 AM you'll hear the ThaĂŻ national anthem. Room was clean, AC functional and towels given.

Great resort with a very nice view. The room unfortunately smelled like someone has been smoking there recently. All in all a absolutely recommendable place to stay!

  • 3/5 MoveWithMoth 2 years ago on Google
If you want the views, they come with 2,000 steps 😂. I mean the views were worth it but if you ask me how many times we came out to look on the balcony, 1 and a half lol we stayed there for 3 nights and it was 3-4x trip a day for us. Some days we wanted to stay down but it's too hot to go to dinner after a hot wet day. Room was nice but bathroom and shower were low to medium quality. Shower head got water everywhere. It was ok. There's food at the hotel which is convenient and P'Noi the chef was funny.

Great accommodation just out of the center 5 mins walk up 400 stairs. Friendly staff, super clean, room service and comfortable beds with an amazing view of both sides of the island. Definitely recommend staying here.

Fabulous view from balcony of both beaches. The hotel is half way up the viewpoint. Lots of stairs but I like the exercise. I counted over 400 steps to our room.

  • 3/5 Nina S. 2 years ago on Google
A relatively cheap hotel with a nice location with an amazing view. The rooms are a little bit outdated and the sheets weren’t that clean. But the stuff was amazing and super friendly to us! They carried our backpacks and we got fresh towels for the beach everyday.
