Arguably now my favorite burger in Philly. Well seasoned and juicy. No frills, and an insane price. Fries are perfect too.

8/5/23. There is something about a neighborhood bar where the place is clean, the bartenders are nice, Cassie, Derrick and Kyle (forgive me if I get the names wrong, I meet a lot of people) and the burger and fries are very good and reasonably priced. The kitchen stays open to 1 a.m. which is great for late night hunger attacks. The beer and wine selections are extensive. Recently ordered a burger and fries. My burger was cooked perfectly and my fries were good. I asked for a well done burger and it was not overcooked. Fountain Porter burgers are like homemade burgers...very good. Will order again. Warm, cozy bar where one can pick up a good burger.

When you want a burger, fries and a pint, this is the place to come. The menu is small, yes, but everything on it is done really well and is fresh. There's no pretentiousness here, but dedication to a great time. Everyone's friendly here, and I've loved coming here for years. One of the best burgers I've had in Philly.

The best cheeseburger in the world $ for $. I have dreams about this $6 cheeseburger. Outside of this bovine delight, FP is a favorite bar of mine to relax at; imbibing an excellent range of craft beers and listening to an all vinyl playlist. Great bar tenders. One of my favorite bars in Philly, no doubt.

Possibly the greatest neighborhood bar there ever was…simple, affordable, uncompromising. It doesn’t get better than this

Great bar with a hidden secret: their burger. It is simply one of the best burgers I've had, bar food or otherwise, and everyone I've brought here says the same. A nice thick, juicy, and flavorful burger. Their fries are great too. Pair those with a tall glass of beer from their nice wide range of crafty options... always a great time! Low prices all around, too. Nice atmosphere: dark, and the music is always some LP played live through a turntable at the front. One of the best!

Absolutely one of my favorite bars in the city. Now that they've got a really great wine list, it's just that much better. Wines you won't see on menus anywhere else in the city, same with a lot of the beer. Obviously the burgers, fries, and pickles are still great as well. Salty, but great. It gets really crowded, but there's usually seats available. When you catch them on a slow week night it's such a great place to enjoy a quiet drink and listen to whatever records they're spinning.

Killer $5 cheeseburger, encyclopedic bartenders, manageable tap and wine list curated with care, vibes cultivated by vinyl staff-spun tunes. Friendly South Philly.

Great cozy all-wood bar with a neon sign and open windows on nice days. The wine choices are clearly for beer lovers but that's okay. The $6 burgers are the best in the neighborhood hands down.

I don't drink alcohol but I do eat burgers and fries. $6 dollar thick boy burger with a hint of salt and cooked to perfection. Fries are top notch. Place is the bomb. It's impossible to get just one burger.

Burger was so good I had to get two. Can’t beat the price. Nice draft list as well. A nice little gem

Burgers are great. When then first order came out and needed an edit ...they redid the whole thing and been brought it out to the car. Top notch! Thanks guys!

Very weird experience I had there. Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon after running errands. There was a kid hanging out at the bar eating. Why is there a child in a bar hanging out? Bartender was low-key rude as well. She asked me to turn my phone vol down when I wasn't even watching anything on my phone to turn the vol down

Great beer selection. Love a bar where I can sit down and enjoy conversations with friends without music being too loud. Crazy good deal on a burger and fries and it tastes good!

This bar takes itself way too seriously. I went once after work during the daytime and it was ok. Went once in the night time and it was a totally different vibe. Music was terrible. Bartender was not very friendly and they refused to cook the cheeseburger well done (their only food items really). The refusal to cook the burgers fully is a microagression in my opinion, a culinary dog whistle of sorts that silently screams “people like you aren’t welcome here”. A large group of black men came in after us (2 black women) and were subjected to the same convo of “that’s how we make our burgers”. Never going back.

Excellent bartenders. Awesome music. Delicious beers. Of course; the burger and fries are on point. 🙏

Dozens of excellent beers and one excellent burger. Even jam-packed, the bartenders really pay attention. Very cozy and filled with friendly folks.

Nice cozy spot with tasty burgers and even NA beer options! But our party of 3 queers did not appreciate having a group of hetero people asking us to make space for them to share our table. Nothing on the bar but the patrons could be a little less entitled if u ask me.

Good selection of beer and wine. In this day and age a 6$ dollar burger (small but tasty) is all i need to not go to bed with the spins. My favorite local bar for a good hangout

Can someone tell me where they get their beef? JEZZUS - go for the $5 hamburger's let alone the rest!

Favorite bar in Philly! Relaxed environment, great staff, UNREAL burgers, and a vast selection of beers. All at very affordable pricing, especially during their happy hour. Highly recommend this establishment!

Always a great beer selection and my favorite burger of all time. The burger comes out consistently PERFECT. Juicy, medium rare, simple on a Martins poato roll. Its better than the best burger you ever made at home, everytime. Fries are great as well. Pickles are a nice addition

Hands down one of the best burgers in the city. No frills. I’d recommend splitting one side of fries between two people cause they’re huge and the burger is filling. Ok selection of beers, nothing fancy. Everything is a good price and the service is super quick! May take some time to find a table depending on when you go
