All the dinner reservations were taken, so we snagged an outdoor lunch slot. The outdoor seating was plenty warm and the staff was super attentive and friendly. Wait times were short and the food top notch. Heads up: the tables outside are a little wonky, so if you're not comfortable with that, definitely aim to eat inside. That said, it didn't affect our enjoyment and we would certainly go back for another visit.

I went here a few days ago and I enjoyed everything that I got! We sat right by the window and it was amazing to just look at the city life while eating! There were also places to eat outside it that's what you're feeling! The service was great, super sweet and always had our waters full! I ordered a sandwich with a side of their herbed chips and ate it all! It was delicious! I would recommend going there again and the prices were extremely good for a bite to eat during a day of exploring Philadelphia!

Great first experience here! The wine selection is a nice size, without being overwhelming, the cocktails all sounded so good and the one I got (fig sour) was excellent. All the cheeses we got were amazing and the accompaniments of jams and honeys went so well with each one. The truffled mushroom bruschetta was so damn good I might go back just so I can have that again! Service staff was very attentive and friendly and the music that was playing really brought it all together - sick soundtrack. Great ambiance, amazing food and drinks, incredible service! Thanks !

This is such a fun establishment. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with picking out wines you would like. They have an extensive wine list, lots of delicious cheeses, and great other dishes. You can go there for happy hour snacks or a full meal and you won't be disappointed.

Great stop for a girlfriend’s lunch. I made a quick reservation on open table to be sure there was space because it was surprisingly busy at 1pm on a Friday. Staff were awesome and welcoming, drinks were terrific (we ordered the Fig Sour which was awesome) and asparagus artichoke salad and the truffled mushroom panino. Both were tasty and plentiful. We shared the flourless chocolate cake was hard and disappointing (and not very flavorful) but it didn’t impact our overall experience. Loved the hip vibe!

Stopped by for small bites and drinks while visiting Philadelphia. They have nice outdoor sitting areas that allowed you to enjoy being outside, but also had protection from the elements and had privacy panels between tables. Didn't have a reservation, but luckily there was 1 open table outside. Once seated, Gabriel immediately came over to take the drink orders and give a few recommendations. He did a great job throughout the meal. There were so many small bites and shareable items, so ordered a handful of items. Ordered the Burrata Toast, Mushroom Bruschetta, and cheese over the course of the evening. It was the right amount of food to slowly eat over a few drinks. Food was outstanding with my favorite being the Burrata Toast, but everything tasted so fresh and light. Drinks were also light and crisp. Both the drinks and food were perfect to enjoy a light meal over a conversation. Since it's not focused on food like a typical restaurant, never felt rushed to finish the plates and leave.. Great place to come for good food, drinks and service.

I came with my girlfriend for a celebration and as a server in Philly, I was not impressed. The staff was lazy and disconnected. The food is good and so are the drinks, but the face of any company is the staff. I had NO IDEA what was happening, there was one server on with zero personality and there was nothing special about my experience. With the amount of money I spent, I would not come back. I’ve been to really great restaurants and work at one, but this is off my list. I’m sorry if I seem harsh, and I also never complain (which I know you won’t believe), but I was sad and disappointed!

Indoor dining was offered and I was seated by preference outside. My alfresco dining experience was fantastic service, hot food, great ambiance and contactless gratuities with meal service payment. Genuine opportunity to relax.

This place is cute and the food selection was eclectic and appetizing. The 20% gratuity charge was excessive because we received mediocre service and were ignored for the first 15 min upon arrival. The food portions are large, which is great because it was one of the most expensive tabs we had while visiting downtown Philly.

I don't recommend eating here during the pandemic. This restaurant really needs to adapt in order to increase take-out sales, this isn't the type of place that is going to do well during a pandemic and instead of writing a whinny article for the Inquirer, the owner should focus on ways to adapt their business model or just accept they will not be successful. Not every restaurant can be especially during a national health crisis.

My wife and I popped into Tria for a drink while waiting for some reservations at another restaurant on her birthday. We had this place on our list for some time and needlessly to say, we weren't disappointed. The tapas style food was tasty, and elegant. Definitely go for the whipped ricotta, focaccia but stay for the cheese boards. Add in great wine options, ciders and imported soda this is a great place for a fancy date whether you drink or not. The only "con" is this place isn't gigantic so seating may be limited, so plan to get in early! Definitely will be back.

I always try to hit Sunday School at Tria when I'm in Philly. Half off a cheese, wine/beer pairing! I love that they always choose something I wouldn't think to try. And the entire menu is just perfect – cheese and bread. Amen.

My daughter lives in Philadelphia and I enjoy traveling from Alabama to visit her. Every trip I make, we carve out a meal or apps and wine at Tria. The salads are so creative and delicious I’ve only ever tried them. The wine list is also always new with fantastic varietals. My favorite table is overlooking the hustling bustling street when the temperature allows the windows to be open. Love this small but wonderful spot!

Tria Cafe was the first wine bar I visited when I landed in Philadelphia 5 years ago..it remains the best spot in the city to taste premium wines, super unique cheeses and beer. They also have a wonderful cider selection that nobody should miss

We had a great experience at Tria. We sat in one of the outdoor pods and it was great because we got to enjoy the sun, but also didn’t get too cold. They have great cocktails (highly recommend the spritz). It’s also a great place to go if you want drinks, but don’t want to order a full meal. They have some good snack options.

  • 5/5 Ervin S. 5 years ago on Google
Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service. Maybe the wine list could be extended since this is a wine bar in the first place but nevertheless. Strongly recommend for a drink and nibble.

This place is for cheese lovers (other items are small plates). (I didn't check as it was booked by my husband and I was looking forward to a hot full meal.). That said, very yummy though.

Such a wonderful find in downtown Philly. Stopped in for just a glass of wine each, ended up staying for hours. All the servers and staff made reconditions on wine and food, all were great! Would definitely stop here again with more friends or just for a night out. Thank you for such a wonderful night .

Highly recommend the fig sour and the spring sangria! The flavors were well balanced and were some of our favorite cocktails we've ever had. We tried both desserts: the flourless chocolate cake and the cheesecake. Both were very tasty and not too sweet. Overall loved my experience here and would definitely come back.

Went to Tria for an evening with one of my girlfriends and my furry friend and enjoyed the outside built patio ! It was the perfect gem on the corner of Samson street and the staff was super attentive and friendly; especially James. They will spoil you with a small wine tasting to help you decide which option is best; and that was a super plus for me. They don’t offer an happy hour, but their selection of food is great ! Definitely enjoyed the smoked salmon salad, goat cheese and pesto bruschetta and truffled mushrooms bruschetta (a must try if you enjoy mushrooms). Food was paired perfectly with their wine selection, and arrived on time to the table. I would advise making a reservation early as they are normally booked and busy ;)

Vegetarian perspective Tria is definitely a go-to for me! I love how their wine menu is arranged in adjectives like "zippy" "luscious" and "social." Really a fun way to pick out a wine! And I get the goat cheese and basil pesto bruschetta every time....no exceptions. One of my favorite apps in Philly. Small inside so I usually try to make a reservation, but have walked up before too.

Snagged a last minute late lunch reservation on one of the first nice weather spring days here in Philly. Great wine list and had possibly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten—their: Claudio Mozzarella Panino with Crispy Prosciutto, Roasted Tomato, Pesto and Garlic Vinaigrette. The salad that came with it was delish and the sandwich… wow, crispy and flavorFULL!!! Also really great staff! Would definitely recommend for lunch/glass of wine!

We stopped in here for dessert after dinner elsewhere. We had the flourless chocolate cake and the cheesecake. Both were excellent. The wait staff also added a candle to one plate because it was my wife's birthday. Looking at the rest of the menu, we will be coming back for wine and cheese soon.

Nice wine selection, good food and friendly service. Fun outdoor seating along the street. Their salmon salad was amazing. Will be back next time I'm in Philly m

I don't consider myself a wine expert by any means, actually I am pretty clueless in regards to wine. The wait staff was more then willing to explain and offer some suggestions on the wines. They were all awesome! The food was fantastic as well. We got the artichoke small plate, the duck salad, and the mushroom panini. All were incredible!!

The food here just makes my soul happy. I had the burrata and tomato conserva toast. I thought I was in Italy with how good that was. The wine was also so good. The wine menu hosts different wines than normal menu’s I’ve seen and I love that! The servers were very polite and the food came out quick! My girlfriend and i were just visiting from out of town. We will definitely be back!

Wine selection, as expected, was excellent and the food was surprisingly good. Their new outdoor "stalls" kept us safely distanced and comfortably warm on a night where temps dropped into 30s.

Great little place to meet up with friends to have some wine and a cheese board. We ordered the fromagger with the cherry compote and the ricotta with pistachios and lavender honey both were very good. A must try is the truffle egg with Fontina OMG it was amazing. Only thing I wished they had was soup or something hot to eat since it was cold outside but all in all great place!

Definitely a solid dinner. Almonds were good. Crab/pepper ok, mushroom bruschetta was eh, smoked salmon salad is something I’d get again but wasn’t extraordinary and the panzanella salad was above average. Service was pretty good. LOVED the space to eat outside and feel safe. Good distance between the sidewalk and eating area.

  • 4/5 Kathleen G. 3 years ago on Google
Lovely wine selection, good variety of cheese and charcuterie on the boards, and attentive service from James T! Also outdoor, street-side tables seemed distanced enough that I felt safe.

  • 4/5 Cynthia J. 4 years ago on Google
Wonderful atmosphere and setting. A bit dark inside, but if you can get seated in the bigger outside area it's very beautiful. A bit loud.

My husband and I came here for date night today. We used to come here when we lived in Philly so decided to come back. We love this place! Their wine selection is great! I had their African Meade and it was wonderful. We also had their charcuterie board and the truffle egg toast. Both were amazing and went great with the wine! The atmosphere was very cozy and the staff was friendly! Highly recommend and definitely will be back!

Consistently crowded Thurs-Sat, but if you can get in, food and wine are always good! Truffled egg toast is creamy and savory, and my favorite is the warm poached black mission figs.

  • 5/5 Michael S. 4 years ago on Google
I’ve been several times in the last few weeks. Wonderful wines and a good selection of light food. I particularly enjoyed the truffled mushroom panini, but would suggest starting with a wine and asking the excellent staff for food recommendations. The Sunday School special with a half price wine beer and cheese selection available all day is a nice deal and the wine descriptions are helpful and accurate.

Wow. Just wow. They serve both african mead AND belgian sour beer. As a bonus, the food is very complex flavor wise, and is beyond what most people could reasonably come up with or make at home. My girlfriend and I carelessly ordered a bunch of tasty treats, and the bill was about $25/person. We'll be back.
