Definitely need a reservation, but worth it. Use OpenTable. They can get lost in the strip mall. We didn't have a reservation, but were able to have dinner at the bar. Almost a dinner and a show at the bar. The ladies took great care of us. Fantastic that they have gluten free options. Excellent mixed drinks and a good diversified wine list. Even with an almost full restaurant our food came out quickly.

I put up a review on Facebook and it was not flattering for Michle and his restaurant although I did give his sous chef a nice review gave Nick five stars but I guess after he read it he deleted my post and then reposted calling me a pig ??? I was just giving him my honest opinion about the restaurant I didn’t call him names just listed my first hand knowledge of Rusconis I guess when you’re able to filter out reviews it doesn’t give an honest showing of what your restaurant really is

We had the best experience and are already looking forward to coming back. The food was absolutely delicious. Our server, Fritz, was so friendly and helpful and he made the experience that much better. We could go on and on about the amazing food, stellar drinks and wonderful staff. Thank you Rusconi's for making our date night so memorable.

Go here for brunch! They have amazing cocktails and the shrimp avocado toast with an egg on top is to die for. The gin cocktails in particular are super fresh and tasty. The banana fosters French toast is fantastic. Brunch is only on Saturday and Sunday but it’s worth it. Smaller patio but well done. Way better than the breakfast place next door.

I went during restaurant week and I chose from their special offerings. My friend and I enjoyed the pork belly appetizer which was delicious, decadent, flavorful, and surprisingly meaty. The short rib stuffed dates were the 2nd appetizer but it was not meaty enough and too sweet. For entrees we had a duck breast and a beef tenderloin. 😋 DELICIOUS! The dark chocolate bread pudding was phenomenal! This place is a must try. Very tight seating, may be awkward for a wheelchair. M

Small, cozy restaurant. We saw this place on restaurant week and menu was appealing. Food was delicious and fresh. All our selections were perfectly seasoned. We plan to come back for brunch. It was a 50 minute drive for us but well worth it. They get busy so make reservations.

Love the neighborhood feel of Rusconi's. The food is always delicious and well prepared. We went with the ever popular beef medallions with truffle mac and cheese, and scallops over pea risotto. Service is consistently good and cocktails are on point. But it's the warm chocolate bread pudding that keeps us coming back. And sometimes just for that bread pudding!

This is a must do every time we come to Scottsdale. EVERY bite of every dish we’ve ever eaten here has been outrageously delicious. The kitchen is extremely talented in creating & preparing meals with many complementary layers of flavors, some so nuanced you are not aware of them except that you want to lick your plate clean and order it all over again. Tonight we had the cauliflower soup (again! ?) & corn crab chowder (again! ?) and the grouper special. YUM!!! The staff is excellent- in knowledge, friendliness and ability. Tonight we had Craig who was fun & took great care of us. Everyone worked as a team which ensured excellent service all around. The restaurant’s design is comfortable & gorgeous. Do make a reservation- this place is happening!

This place is a real gem amongst the Paradise Valley area. My husband and I have been here three times now and each time Rusconi’s did not disappoint! The restaurant is chef owned and operated which means the menu always seems to have something new and exciting to try. The thoughtfulness behind the dishes is a real delight as the chef takes a standard dish and adds his own creative twists! I definitely recommend the grilled tenderloin medallions. Each bite melts in your mouth and the truffle scented mac and cheese was to die for! This restaurant is on the medium to high priced side. Altogether our meal came to $170 before tip with one appetizer, one soup, two entrees, two cocktails and of course we had to try the dessert! Overall, I would say it’s well worth it for a delicious meal that supports a locally owned restaurant with such thoughtful selections. Enjoy!

First time here for Father’s Day. We came for brunch and were definitely pleased! Great customer service from our waiter Rex. He was very attentive and served us with so much class. The menu for lunch is small but don’t let that steer you away. We had a party of six and everyone enjoyed every ounce of their dish. The grits are very good, which can be hard to find in the Valley. All items were served hot and fresh. They had a special on wine for 1/2 off and it was perfectly chilled. Enjoyed this spot from beginning to end and will definitely be back to check out the dinner menu. Finding a great spot with quality food and quality can be difficult to come by these days with short staff. Don’t hesitate to come to this place!

Good food, excellent service, but slow. Place was not busy when we arrived, but it took 10 minutes for the server to show up. Once he showed up it was very good service. Food was very good. The chicken was awesome but a bit fatty. The beef medallions were amazing. The goat cheese fondue was interesting but very good.

Rusconi’s has always been great— one of our favorites in the city. Last night’s curbside takeout was extra special as in addition to giving us perfectly prepared food we were able to pick it up at a scheduled time and have it brought right to the car. The salmon, lamb and burger were all very tasty and cooked as ordered. The sides and sauces were excellent. For dessert, we enjoyed the cheesecake, chocolate and homemade ice cream.

  • 5/5 Keith L. 4 years ago on Google
Great food! I had the sirloin with asparagus and sweet potatoes. Great dish...great sauces...right amount of portions. Wife had the chicken and thought it was good. Son had the lamb chops and loved them. Apps we had the drunken goat cheese and octopus. The octopus was good, but the goat cheese dip reminded me of onion dip I put out at any party. Not anything extraordinary, but it didn’t suck. Service was on point. We’ll definitely go back again.

Fantastic knowledgeable service! We were thrilled to dine as the staffs were very accommodating and were more than willing to assist us in what to choose among the wide choices of foods. Special mention to Steven as he was very affable and helpful. He was attentive and very quick. He went above and beyond with the service he provided.

I've been to this restaurant a few times, and I must say the food is always great! Try the lamb shank, and you'll know what I mean by great. The staffs are nice, and the ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner. It is great to go to a restaurant where the service is always good. I recommend it highly for visitors who might be tiring of local cuisine.

We love this place and come to it every year. The food is absolutely delicious. This year was particularly great. I had the truffle deviled eggs for an appetizer and the blackberry glazed salmon. For dessert our family had the Girl Scout ice cream which was fantastic. We highly recommend it if you’re looking for a hidden gem to eat at in the Phoenix area.

If you fancy restaurants that serve small portions that are plated like a work of art, Rusconi's is the place for you. Food is delicious, but I wanted more. Meals are pricey vs. the small portions. I had dessert just to satisfy my half full tummy. So glad I did. I had the chocolate bread pudding which was a generous portion & oh so decadent. The atmosphere of the restaurant does not match the elegant food so that was a bit disappointing plus the fact it is located in a strip mall next to a Chinese fast food restaurant. There is a large bar as you enter the restaurant, but all we had was a bottle of wine so I cannot comment on their cocktails. This was my first visit. Would I go back, I don't think so.

The food is innovative and delicious, and the service is among the best in the valley. We have tried the majority of the entrees and have yet to find one we don't like, the heirloom tomato salad (once a special and now on the menu) is phenomenal, and the desserts are fantastic. The wine is list is incredible and the cocktails are also unique and quite tasty.

It was our first experience with fine dining curbside service and it was amazing. Our lunches were perfectly prepared hot and delicious. The kitchen burger is by far the best in town. Curb service was fast friendly and flawless. My sister and I took our food to the park and had a great picnic. I highly recommend Rusconi's American Kitchen.!!!

I ordered a fish dish for takeout and was pleasantly surprised. I have never been to this restaurant before and decided to try it because I saw they offered takeout. I am most happy I did because I had the best meal. I have been making food at home during these times and have hadnhad good for last 3 months. After taking one bite of the salmon I knew I was in for a great meal. Will be back for round 2 probably today!

I had scrambled eggs and steak. It came with potatoes, which were fantastic. I had the hollandaise sauce, both styles. The red pepper aioli and the normal lemon hollandaise sauce. It was all very good. The menu changes depending on the day so be aware of what is being served before going. They have hand crafted ice cream. I ordered the three choice sampler with fig Meyer lemon, Raspberry berry chocolate chip, and dark chocolate blueberry. The dark chocolate blueberry was excellent. The raspberry chocolate chip was a good sweet sour. I don’t like fig but the fig Meyer lemon wasn’t bad. The blueberry cheesecake was very good. It was all great! Fritz was our server and he was awesome!

Super friendly and helpful wait staff. Our meal was incredible. Beef Short Ribs in roasted pepper grits for me. My mother had swordfish steal over wilted spinach. Also tasted a sample of a truffle mac and cheese side dish. Great atmosphere. If you like mediocre food in a noisy place don't come to Rusconi's...It has instantly become one of our very favorites.

Stopped in here a few weekends ago after reading all the good reviews. I got fascinated by the service and the food in this Italian restaurant. The pasta was indeed delicious. I’m a grub hub driver and I went to this restaurant to place an order. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner upon arrival and was the rudest and unprofessional individual that I have ever met in my entire life. He treated me like I was a second hand citizen. It’s great to know how lowly he thinks of someone just trying to make a living. I was going to make $45 on this dilvery and he told me he didn’t care. I wouldn’t recommend anyone ever give this man their business. Edit: First of off I didn’t harass anyone secondly I was still considered a paying customer and thirdly just because I’m a delivery driver doesn’t make me a second hand citizen. I don’t have to eat at your restaurant to know the way you treated me was with zero hospitality. It’s ok though I contacted the customer that was trying to order $250 worth of food from you and explained exactly how you acted and they also said they would never spend their money at your establishment again now.

This was hands down the best food I have ever had in my life! I cannot say enough good things about it! I have never left a place saying wow! They definitely undercharged us for the quality of the food! The food taste like it should of been priced double if not triple what the menu price was! Phenomenal🙌🏼 I took pics! Hopefully this review site lets me upload them

A must do when in Arizona. It’s where the locals go, yet everyone is treated like family. The food is unique, fresh, and creative. Bring on your stingy foodie friends, it will surpass your expectations and at a reasonable rate. “Chef” always has something you wouldn’t expect. A few gems on the wine list too. Just Relax, and enjoy !

Everyone is kind and the food is mouth watering (My mouth is watering thinking about it as I write this). There’s not one thing in the menu that I’ve tried that is not purely amazing. We went here on a Sunday night. It's a really cute place and I have never been before. You can tell that they really put a lot into getting friendly staff members. My wife and I decided to try Rusconi's for restaurant week and we're pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the service was excellent. However, there was only one problem. It's was just barely warm and some of my wife's potatoes were actually cold. We didn't complain because the flavors were so amazing and we just couldn't part with the food. It was fairly busy but not crowded at all, it was 6 in the eve and starting to pick up. My wife had the salmon and I had the scallops. Both had excellent flavors and were prepared well, just were not hot, or even close. I can tell by the crowds and the clientele that this is a popular spot and they have tons of regulars so Rusconi's will do well. But we probably won't be back because we drive by The Gladly, The Collins, Beckett's, Chelsea's, Buck and Rider, Vincent's, Tomaso's and Tarbell's to get there, so it would have to be off the chain to get us out of the neighborhood. It was probably just a one-off situation but just another metric of the highly competitive nature of the restaurant business and how one experience has a tendency to define a customer's visit. But we wish Rusconi's well, they have an excellent product and obviously an avid following, good luck to you guys and ladies.

We enjoyed our first visit to Rusconi’s this evening after driving from Tucson to pick family up from the airport. It is a modern American Cafe with terrific ambiance. Service was top notch! The menu presented us with amazingly delicious options. The kitchen was terrific and supported adjusting the menu for a dairy sensitivity. The bar service was excellent however the beer selection was quite limited. Deserts and after dinner drink selection was perfect. I look forward to another Phoenix visit so I can enjoy another dinner at Rusconi’s

Excellent dining experience. Restaurant is well-prepared for opening with social distancing requirements and booth dividers. Our service from Karla was friendly and efficient. She was extremely helpful in providing information as we inquired about how to acquire similar booth dividers for our own restaurant. Our meals were exceptionally well-prepared and delicious. My cedar plank salmon was divine and some of the best fish I’ve ever had. From atmosphere to service to food, an all around wonderful lunch out.

This is the hidden gem you wish you knew about. Don't let the location fool you. It's spacious, opens to a friendly bar area with a bartender that knows how to make a mean (and delicious) pear martini. The menu is refreshing and changes regularly. We celebrated a birthday and every entree was enjoyed. I had the filet with truffle Mac & cheese and ate every bite. What really stands out here though is the staff. They're professional, yet warm and friendly. The place was booked solid with regulars, many of whom hugged their waitstaff. This place is for more than a meal, and I love that. I'll be back!

First time, recommendation from friends. Atmosphere was warm and friendly with a good vibe. My husband had the burger with a side of grits. Presentation was great and food was cooked as ordered and tasteful. I ordered the short ribs with risotto and Brussel sprouts. The flavors were amazing however the short ribs were not tender which was a bit disappointing. All in all it was a nice evening with acceptable food but due to the distance from our house we probably won’t frequent to often.

So freakin delish! I've been to Rusconi's a bunch and it never let's me down!. The food is consistent and creative. The staff, especially, Fritz, are all warm and engaging. The owner/chef checks and cleans off each plate before being brought to the table. We started with a great Meyer lemon rosemary (from their garden) martini. The charcuterie had some nice meats and cheese. I had the plentiful 1/2 lb Angus burger with goat cheese, arugula, onions and a balsamic glaze. The roll was too bready so I hate half and removed the other. The chocolate bread pudding and cheesecake were over the top. Reasonably priced, Rusconi's shouldn't be missed!

We truly enjoyed our dinner at Rusconi’s American Kitchen during Arizona Restaurant Week. Delicious food in great portions. The service was excellent and we were even able to meet the chef as he delivered our desserts personally.

The food was great, but it was our server who really made the experience shine. He was funny, popped in at the right times, gave great recommendations & generally made our evening very enjoyable. (Wish I could remember his name - we were seated to the right of the kitchen on 9/10. He was very charismatic, singing & joking, had a pony tail.) Highly recommend a visit for Restaurant Week - we’ll be back to check out brunch & half priced bottles of wine on a future Sunday!

EXCELLENT!! Been wanting to try this establishment for many years. Went there to celebrate my son's birthday.  The staff could not have been friendlier or more professional.  Food was amazing and received some of the best service I've experienced. The staff anticipate your needs and attention to the minor details like keeping water filled to bringing extra utensils.  Very rare to receive this level of servcie. I highly recommend Rusconi’s. AWESOME!!

I took my 86 year mom there for lunch and loved it! They were very sweet and patient with my mom, but more importantly the food was excellent! We both had eggs benedict (highly recommend), and the prices were very reasonable too (downright cheap compared to CA where I live part time). The service was top notch as well. I will return.

Rusconi's is one of those places you crave! I am so happy that it has survived and seemed to have thrived through the pandemic. We recently moved back to Phoenix and it was one of the places we talked about for years, so happy everything is still completely stellar! The food continues year after year to be delicious, fresh, high quality, and new items to the menu are always appreciated. Never change! We had an awesome time out with friends there and felt as if we were at our own kitchen table catching up in the wonderful atmosphere, so comfortable at the "Prime" table to view all the delicious food coming out of the amazing kitchen. It always feels like I'm in a New York high rise restaurant, such a great experience. Thank you!

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner here. The food was delicious- each entree was really really good, we shared an appetizer as well as the bread pudding for dessert (so yummy!) I had an espresso martini as well as a glass of wine. The front desk staff was friendly and we were seated right away. Our server was attentive and nice. We will be back.

Hands down the most flavorful restaurant that we have been to in Arizona. I am a picky eater and I was surprised how good everything thing was. There were four of us and everyone ordered a different starter, main dish and dessert. I love to sample everyone's ordered and everything tasted great. The service was just as great. Would definitely come again next time I'm in Arizona.

My family of four adults ate here on Christmas Eve. Amazing dinner and drinks for the whole family. Our server, Fritz, was possibly the most entertaining and professional server I’ve ever had. He was right on point and made our night special. They had a special three course menu for Christmas eve and, two of us ordered the filet. One of the filets was a bit overcooked, but it didn’t bother us enough to say anything. One of the chefs noticed that it wasn’t cooked properly and immediately brought us an entire replacement meal, without a single word from us. Honestly, with this level of service and dedication from the entire staff, I can’t see anyway you can go wrong eating here. All three courses and the many drinks we had were all spot on. Several special touches to even make the drinks extra special. I can’t say enough great things about Rusconi’s. We are moving to this area in a few months and will frequent this wonderful restaurant. Highly, highly recommended!!!
