A very nice highly trafficked site, Buddhist and secular mix. The city pillars are covered. The artwork is the gorgeous Thai style. Dress appropriately. And yes, worth a visit even after you see the other superb tourist sites next door.

Another temple popular with locals but overlooked by many tourists. It’s said to have a pillar that was put in when Bangkok city was built. There are also many different halls with shrines to pray for different purposes. At the main pillar shrine, there is also a temple Hindu monk who helps to chant for us.

It's where the locals go to pray for great health, prosperity, and happiness in life. My dear friend took me there and explained to me about the tradition that people in Thailand do and the tourists probably doesnt know about. You can get a nice distance view of the grand palace from this temple.

City Pillar Shrine is one of numerous Buddhist worship places in Bangkok. It is not a temple but, as its name says, a shrine, and as such popular among the local people. City Pillar Shrine is not at all worthless even from the tourist point of view, so if you happen to be somewhere near the shrine and not too busy, take your moment for a visit.

Bangkok has so many crafted beautiful architecture, and this is one of them. Locals and buddhist travelers come here to make offering to the shrine. It is conveniently located across the street to the Grand Palace and next to the Ministry of Defence. You can buy some followers, make offering and do prayers at the side gate entrance building, spire column or the ground floor tent. They also have smll charming plant and flower garden on the side of the Grand Palace direction. I highly recommend visit. Stunning place!!! 😎👍

This is one of the spots most tourists overlook but is definitely worth a stop. It’s beautiful, and very well patronized by the devout. Also you’re likely to catch a traditional dance while you’re here!

It is one of the key spots in Bangkok where people can make merit and pray for success in business. The architecture is really nice here. I also like the way they make the praying more sustainable by asking people not to burn the incense and candles. Just reuse it as part of the ritual. Reduce pollution and use of materials. 👍👍👍
