I did my check out today (5th of September) People in the reception (particularly the lady with blue T-shirt) must change. They are very very bad in communication. The lady with blue T-shirt didn’t care about my concern about the room; and she didn’t allow me to talk to the manager either. She even refused to give her name to complain to the manager. She was very rude.

The both receptionists were not kind at all and very bad persons to me I arrived at 05:00 in the morning after 30 hours by bus I understand the check out is 11:30 and after they must clean the room. ( not problem for that)After waiting 7 hours they could ask to the cleaning staff to give priority to me, ( a little of humanity ) but they did not. Every body that arrived after 11:00( a man and a group of 10 girls)checked in before me while i was sitting waiting in front of them. The two receptionist were even laughing of me,,i was even crying and they did not care or even say sorry I felt discriminated and hurted by them,, very very evil people

If you have one of the rooms with a balcony, youre probably off alright. The ones without windows though (window to the hallway that is) are horrible. You hear EVERYTHING thats happening on your floor. All night. The rooms was really smelly as well. I wouldve taken that for 200 baht, but everytuing above that is just a rip off imho. Location is excellent though. But then, theres plenty around that hibes you more for your money. They even let you smoke weednin the courtyard, which was a major downer for us.

Great location and price but the beds were by far the hardest beds I have ever used in my entire life. Stayed for 3 nights and could barely sleep each night. Each morning woke up extremely sore and stiff. It felt like there wasn't even a pad on the bed frame. You'd be better off sleeping on the floor. If you are a light sleeper/have trouble sleeping, I do not recommend this hotel.

The location is good as it is a quiet place and a 250m walk to the famous noisy & roudy backpackers place in Khoa San, Bangkok. The hotel has a big front with chairs & tables to have your meals & coffee or to chat and work on your handphone or notebook. The staff are very friendly and courteous and is very well run & managed. The room with private toilet & balcony is value for money.

A bit basic. Room without outside window. There were rooms with balconies. Bathroom on occasions not too clean. Well located though and so far not noisy.

I have given a 5 star based on price versus facilities, location, ambience and staff. We enjoyed our stay at this place. Very quite , nice staff and cosy place. Always had breakfast herr as the menu was affordable. Though never had lunch or dinner. Rooms were clean and tidy and sitting area was also comfy. Near to bus stop, walking distance from palace and other attractions.

Very good ratio price/experience. I come here often when land in Bangkok. Bathrooms are clean and comfortable bed, exactly what you wish for after long journey to Thailand. The common space is something, very comfy and peaceful but still very central, the staff is very friendly and helpful and they will let you keep your bags in a room if you need to check out and need to wait for your travel. Also they have lockers you can rent. Thank you I will come back 🙏

We stayed here two times during our time in Thailand. Our first night was the test&go package. Everything was organised smoothly and without troubles. Very nice if one arrives in a foreign city and doesn't know where to go. In the second we exited the airport there was someone taking care of us and everyone was very helpful. After the quarantine time we stayed three more nights at Lamphu house, in a different room. It was one of the cheaper ones, for 450 Baht, only with a fan but we adjusted perfectly to it and after some very sweaty hours we got more or less used to the heat. We came back for one night a week later and booked one of the "better rooms" with AC and balcony for about 580 Baht. Also nice, especially if you decide to stay longer and want more comfort. The staff was always very helpful and tried to answer all the questions we had. The food was great, good prices and wide selection of different meals. From sandwich with fries over Asian noodles, rice and soups. Breakfast (toast, eggs, yoghurt, cereals, fruits, sandwiches) and fruit shakes (mango, watermelon, strawberry, mixed fruits, ....) All in all a great stay. We're definitely considering on coming back next time we're in Thailand.

This hotel is the combination of charm, peace and a convenient location to rest and explore surroundings. It is situated in Soi Rambrutri, a 5 minutes walk from busy Khaosan road. On the ground floor, there is a charming lobby to relax, where you can enjoy the wonderful garden and sitting place. There is a restaurant on the ground floor. The rooms are located on the first, second and third floors. 24 hours front desk and free WiFi throughout the property is available. Various room options are available such as a single room, double room, superior twin room, etc. are available. We booked A/C superior double room and it was on the third floor. The room was clean and had a good view. The check-in time is 2 PM and check-out time is 11:30 AM.

Very busy hotel even in this corona time. Location is perfect for exploring the old city. Hotel is located 5 min walking from Khao San road and 2 min from bus station from which you can catch a bus and connect to skytrain and metro or take direct bus to airport. There are lots of restaurants, bars, shops and markets near it. Rooms are clean and staff is really helpfull and kind. Restaurant has very good food for a cheap price. Also, they offer all kind of tourist tours for much reasonable prices then other tourist agencies. For a recommendation.

Basic accommodation. Private room with relatively clean shared bathroom facilities. It was sad to see they promoted/sold unethical elephant riding tours. We would stay somewhere else next time.

Customer service officer is impatient to answer guest's enquiries on Line. Pandemic prevention measures are not existing as their cleaners entering the room rejected to wear a mask before entering and you can't reject them to enter the room. They refused to tell you what time the cleaner is entering the room. Does that means the cleaners can enter the room anytime without any notification even when you are changing your clothes, bathing, sleeping or out for events? It's not only lack of covid prevention measures, but also lack of privacy.

Best place for bagpackers and for friends who are looking for a budget stay, located at the heart of the khoasan road, where you can experience the best night life in the entire bangkok. The rooms are pretty good at this price point, they do offer hot water. Definitely I would recommend this if you are a solo traveler like me.

I only came here and booked travel, had breakfast and a shower. But the service and food were great. If I was looking for a long term stay, this would be the place near Khaosan road. It's off the street just enough to be quiet. Super nice folks.

This place was in such a fabulous location. Close to everything. But a quiet sanctuary to escape the hustle and bustle. The room was simple but just what we needed. There was a restaurant in the courtyard, as well as computers to hire, board games and information about tourist attractions. As there were no alcoholic drinks sold there, it kept the peaceful vibe and was family friendly.

Location was the best part of the hotel. Food and market right by your doorstep. Rooms were nice and clean but no fridge. There was only had 1 fridge for all guests (so there was possibility of theft). Hotel also didn't have elevator so you must walk up alot of stairs.

Ideal location! Very family friendly and in a good street. Breakfast was great, especially the strawberry smoothies. Rooms are basic but everything you need.

Stayed here for 1 night, very reasonably priced and near to the notable khao san walking street. Though our room was on 3rd floor and there is no lift here. Rooms are a little small but have all the basic amenities required. They have a restaurant with outdoor seating at the ground floor and offer limited breakfast options as well. Also there are plenty of options for food and shopping on the street. If you are looking for a budget friendly and quiet place in the khao san area, I'll recommend this place.

Lovely hostel! It is located in a busy area but still manages to give a relaxed and bit more quiet vibe. Stayed here twice and would come back when visiting Bangkok again.

We always stay here when in Bangkok. Location is great. A peaceful courtyard area surrounded by nature whilst still next to bars and restaurants. Great price, great service.

The reception team is horrific, the room is dirty. It was one of the biggest mistakes I did in Thailand. You can find much better place to stay in Bangkok.

We had a good time at Lamphu House. It is right next to the center, but still very quiet. The room provides everything you need and it is quite cheap. I would recommend booking it for a short sightseeing stay in Bangkok :)

Pros: very central, clean and has it’s own cozy restaurant Cons: some common areas look a bit rundown

Location is the best at Kao san area. Nice garden, good staff. Rooms are small, but best price for it guaranteed.

  • 5/5 Chris C. 5 months ago on Google
Nice enough place with a variety of rooms. Our room was private but had a common bathroom area (not attached). Staff is helpful but there isn’t much soul in the place just a budget friendly accommodation right off khaosan

We stayed for 2 nights and I loved our little room! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The Hotel also offers food and baggage storage for the day of Check-out. Everyone is very friendly and the hotel is located on a very cute & tourist friendly street. The only thing I did not like so much was that the rooms are noisy (not from outside but you can here every word your neighbour said and when they came home late you woke up and felt like someone was coming into your room). Besides that, I liked everything!

Lamphu House is our choice when we stay in Bangkok. The rooms are clean and simple and I love the garden.

The hotel has a big garden and  the staff is very kind. This place deserve 5 star for the price you pay because it is clean, quite, the rooms are very basic.(don't expect a 5star hotel) There is a travel agency inside that helps you with everything, from giving info about the city or helping you to plan a tours in your ongoing travel. The garden is perfect to take a coffee, chill and escape from the noise of the city. No fridge in the room Good ☕

GREAT location in old Town, located on a busy alley with a ton of food and shopping options. Cheap room, had hot water and air conditioner. Key deposit required. Private bath adequate, linens smelled a bit. Large shared fridge in hallway. Label your food and keep it there. Bed was stiff but GREAT. Hallway vents and thin doors allowed for some noise but we slept just fine. Fast and convenient for the budget price, I would definitely visit again.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for two nights. They welcomed us in a very nice way, the room was neat and clean. The shower stream was a bit too soft and the light in the bathroom stopped working for a bit, but other than that the room was perfect. The pool looks very good, the breakfast was amazing but didn't have a big variety of selection and the people were very nice. Overall great experience, highly recommended.

Nice hotel on a busy road. It's a bit hard to find though. Quiet and has a nice quart yard.

Great place to stay, clean, quiet rooms and helpful stuff. Close to khao San and most attractions. You can get there via S1 bus from airport.

The hotel canceled our reservation 1 day before arrival when we were already on our way to Thailand. The reason was that my credit card expired, which I didn't notice. The hotel did not send notification, but deleted our reservation and gave our room to someone else immediately. I made the booking 3 month prior to our visit to make sure we have a nice place to stay. Customer service = 0.

We picked this hotel for our Test&Go package and it worked very well. We had nice food and had a pretty fast test result. We then tried out some different accommodations in Bangkok, but eventually came back to Lamphu House, as we felt most comfortable here. The place is very cool, as shown on the pictures and we felt at home. In addition the breakfast was pretty nice and the receptionists were kind and helpful. Also the location was nice, which the tuk tuk drivers had found out, so that they were ready to offer you a ride every morning. We would not recommend to take a room without aircon though. We did that in April, and it was crazy hot!

Very eco-friendly Hotel. Great garden and environment. Would recommend book this hotel with Breakfast. “Awesome breakfast”. Its quite boring in the hotel room.. No TV and AC is not very good.

When I am in the Khao San area, I always go there to relax with some coffee or something to eat. I ordered spaghetti carbonara which is usually the fake one with cream and ham. This one was as well the fake carbonara but it was still good in taste. I like the location because you just walk in to the small side alley at the busy soi rambutri and suddenly you are in a peaceful and quiet kind of garden environment.

Its located in a peaceful street near kohsan road. Very good location, near to everything. They have tours available at good price (train market, floating market...) Recommended

I took cheap room with window and fan. It's rustic but good Price. Also location is perfect and the inside court is very nice

Loved this place, it’s got comfortable rooms and a lovely garden to chill in. It’s located on the next road across from Khao San Road and you can’t hear any of that noise from Lamphu House. This street was very clean and much more peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Would recommend! I was very grateful that they let me store my baggage during the day once I’d checked out. If you are staying here, I would highly recommend Massage In The Garden which is only a few feet away from Lamphu, best massages in Bangkok!

I stayed for 5 nights and was super happy to be here. The location is perfect because it is quiet but still in the centre of town. I especially loved the garden because it was like a quiet oasis in all of the touristic troubled area. Kind staff, average food, clean, good price. Would definitely book here again!

Stayed here for 2 nights (room with balkony and ac). Bath and Room itself was basic and very clean. Good WIFI. Staff was helpful and friendly.Well located (central but quite). Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Good value for money.

I had a great time here. The single budget room was just perfect & for a very good price. The hostel has a cute garden where you can sit down and relax and is in a back alley, so there is no noize at all from the traffic or parties.

We stayed here for 4 nights and the experience was pleasant. The hotel is located at a very good location pretty close to Khao San Road in Bangkok. However, being on a busy street the noise of music from the Khao San Road did not affect the stay at all, as there was no noise and it was rather calm and peaceful. The receptionist were very friendly and the rooms were very clean and tidy. The bathrooms were pretty clean and tidy too. After we checked out, we could keep our luggage at a secure area near the reception and then came back to pick her bags while heading to the airport.

Cheap and tidy rooms at a great price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are unfortunately not isolated. You can hear everything from other rooms or the corridor.

  • 4/5 Jak L. 1 year ago on Google
Very traditional rooms. Had all the basics. Friendly staff in a quiet courtyard 2 minute walk from all the bars and restaurants you could ever want. But still had a quiet charm as if you were away from the city. Very nice place at reasonable rates. Rooms could do with a bit of decorating only minus

  • 4/5 Mathew S. 4 years ago on Google
A very nice common area and garden! The staff are friendly and the travel agent there is fantastic with plenty of recommendations and better prices than anywhere we looked. Rooms (depending on price) are quite basic and that's to be accepted, slightly noisy as some people may come back late and walk/talk through the hallways late at night. We stay here every time we are in Bangkok!

  • 5/5 Hilary T. 1 year ago on Google
Service was great!!! Minibus pickup is available for airport from the hotel lobby. Restaurant downstairs, storage available after checkout..budget friendly and extremely convenient.

Good location to Khao San road, rooms are basic, prices affordable. There is a restaurant on the ground floor that serve cheap breakfast and lunch. Wifi is really fast.
