In the middle of my quarantine. I'm pretty experience in traveling, I would say. I didn't a really long time comparing all the places and their rooms, when I prepared my trip - and I think this is among the best asq choices you can make. You should have a balcony river view room though. The location of an ASQ is completely unimportant as you can't even leave the room during quarantine. Also how many business centers and restaurants doesn't matter. The only things that matter are: - window can open - balcony makes all the difference (even if you don't use it!!!) - a nice view from the window/balcony - room looks nice * - good internet - good good * *good and nice - fancy not so important This hotel has all these things.. Rooms aren't huge but sufficient and they look nice and inviting. There's a window from bathroom to the room - which gives a feeling of a bigger room. Food is very good. (can only speak for Thai option - they also have western and Asian option) Internet is incredibly fast. Upload of a movie to my YouTube channel that takes 5 hours back home in Germany takes about 3 minutes here!!!!! You can also watch my experience here on my channel (same name as the profile here) The highlight is the view to the little river though: there's always something happening. You see lots of fish, then a huge monitor loses swimming by, then an egret. Some people walking by. No noise. No boats, no cars! An oasis in Bangkok.

Be very careful with choosing this hotel! We deposited some luggage there. Half of the luggage have been stolen. No proper help in this case. It feels for me like they try to cover it up. They told me I never had deposited the luggage there. Weird behaviour of the staff! No names in conversation, no contact to management possible. They were not be able to give us a personal keycard for our room during our stay. Everytime we entered our room they had to open the room with the general keycard of the hotel.

Great stay, very nice room with a spacious bathroom (we did not have riverside) Rooftop pool was nice, though sadly the bar up there was closed. Breakfast was really good and the location is just perfect. I've read some comments here about the neighbourhood being unsafe. All i can say is there is a huge difference between feeling safe and being safe. Anyone with a bit of asian experience will see it's as safe as it gets.

Stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The hotel is modern and tastefully furnished. Everything was clean and new. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highlights from my point of view: the breakfast area right by the canal and the great location of the hotel. There also is a pool area on the rooftop, which is smallish but nice.

My husband and I loved staying at the Casa Vimaya while in Bangkok for a few days. It's in the perfect location - close to temples and Khao San Road. There's a 7/11 right across the street, which makes buying water and snacks super easy. The breakfast buffet is located on a patio overlooking the river and has great food options. The staff were very kind and helpful. Booking transportation to and from the airport was a breeze thanks to them. Overall, we would highly recommend staying here!

Accessible to any point in Bangkok. Free breakfast offers a buffet and a riverside view. Our room has no bath tub, but has hot n cold water, a safe, a double bed, a smart lock for the door. Ample for resting after a day's tour of the city.

Really nice hotel. Staff very friendly. Room was big, very comfy bed, good shower. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs, Bangkok traffic is VERY noisy! Great rooftop pool with towels and a bar.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was really nice to us and they even offered us an upgrade (for an unknown reason). The rooms are really nice. The shower and the bath are on a private balcony, so it was nice to take our shower outside. I would recommend to take the breakfast since it has a good variety of things to eat. It is very well located inside of old Chiang Mai which is very central to everything. I would definitely book there again if I ever go back there.

We used the test and go package at the hotel. The price included airport pick up and a pcr test and 3 meals. What we didn’t know was that they were going to make us wait late at night at the airport until they had enough people to fill a mini bus, that they were going to wake us up at 2am for the pcr test (only time available?!) and that they would then wake us up again at 7.30 for an average breakfast in the room (no choice for food type/time). The aircon did not manage to cool the room below 29 degrees despite making noise of a plane taking off all night. All in all not a great experience. The room was also not nearly as nice or as big as advertised online. There was a terrible smell around the hotel, but that was probably due to the river being close by. We didn’t try the restaurant for breakfast because it seemed overpriced. Other than that, the rooftop pool is nice, the location is good but I would not stay here again.

Hotel does not present as pictured. Small rooms grossly over priced. Food during quarantine was horrible.

We travelled here in January 2024, the rooms were really clean, nicely furnished and well renovated… service was top notch. Staff were very accommodating to our extra needs and really went above and beyond. The birthday cake for my partner was a lovely touch. Breakfast buffet was standout as well. Would highly recommend!

Great location in Bangkok. Check in was at 2pm, and we arrived at 115pm so it wasn’t ready. They allowed us to keep baggage in a closet while we waited. AC was nice and bed was comfortable. There were many insects on the floor (not sure what they were exactly), it looked like they were coming out of the corner of the shower, so that was unfortunate. Besides that the hotel was fine!

This is beyond our expectations. Everything feel so Fresh, new, and super clean ! The water so clear, the amenities all in super good conditions. The towel super white and clean , and I really enjoy stay here. Although the room wasn't big, but I really love this place. So romantic with the riverside view in the morning. Thank you so much, And definitely will come back again !

Location is just about average. Service is also just about service. There's a lot of room for them to improve but they don't seem to bother. Titan is absolutely the worst staff member there on the front desk. On several occasions he seems least bothered and not courteous to provide well for the guests. It's just a notch above a hostel. But still has hostel like service and behaviour.

Good clean hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pool not as great but at least this place keeps you away from the chao of khao san road.

highly recommended - great location with lots of amenities around cosy and comfortable bed - varieties of breakfast choice with beautiful views nice dip in the pool with a SURPRISE, you’ve to experience it to know what ? it would be five stars if the service staff would smile and gesture us the guest genuinely and warmth

Good hotel to stay near koh San and the bus that takes you to the islands. Clean, comfortable rooms and staff was very helpful. On the downside are the drunks making noise in the hallway at night.

Great location and good rooms. Not much to complain if you dont look for amenities. We dint pay for breakfast so cant comment on it. But why would you eat here as there are lot of options if you step out of the hotel.

This hotel is great! It's super clean and spacious, the swimming pool on the roof is quiet and super nice! The staff is incredibly friendly and the location is great. We could walk to all the sights nearby and the area is very nice to walk around.

Really lovely hotel in a great location! Staff were so kind and welcoming - I had a parcel sent to the hotel with items I’d left at another hotel, and the Casa Vimaya reception staff helped complete payment to the other hotel for me via the Thai banking service which I couldn’t use. Thanks for a great stay!

I've stayed in the Riverside Deluxe King Room and really enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean, cozy and eye pleasing. Great attention to details. The room is a bit small, the terrace too, but I didn't mind it. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but very close to the Khao San road and Rambuttri Ally. The staff was nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable with 4 pillows in different stiffness. The staff made the room every day. Highly recommended!

Very good three night stay here. It’s a well-run hotel in a good location just a short walk from all the action in Banglamphu. My room was comfortable. Excellent air-con. Good Wi-Fi. I was a bit underwhelmed by the balcony though. Only just big enough to stand on! Breakfast buffet each morning was great. The restaurant is comfortable and overlooks the river. For the cost of the room, the pool and rooftop bar were a bonus.

Casa Vimaya is a fantastic hotel well deserving of its high google rating. We spent 5 days based here while visiting Bangkok in July 2023. The room was quite spacious and very tidy. The cleaning room service helped keep it comfortable when we would step out adventuring Bangkok. The bathroom was modern and also had a bidet hose installed. The breakfast buffet was reasonable with a mix of fruits, western cuisine and a couple of Thai curries for those a little more adventurous in the morning. The reception staff were helpful and while there is a slight language barrier they are more than willing to go over and above to assist where they can. I highly recommend this place if you’re in Bangkok and staying around Khao San road.

Good location for touristic stay, can easily walk to Grand Palace (20 minutes) and few minutes to Koh San Road and market. The rooms are clean, a bit small, the restaurant of the hotel was closed during my stay

Loved this hotel only stayed 2 nights would definitely go back if visiting Bangkok again. Perfect location on the east near river, only a bus ride from the modern busy city centre if that's what you want. We loved this area for the convenience of the main temples. You can sit outside and watch huge fish and monitor lizards in Canel during breakfast . The breakfast was amazing.

Like: Bed,location, service, breakfast variety. Dislike: No house slipper, no bathrobe. Small pool with many guest. Pool water not clean due to the number of guest. Expensive drinks at roof top bar - but bringing own drinks are allowed. Generally i will recomend this hotel.

Wonderful place to stay right in the heart of old Bangkok. Great location overlooking the canal. Staff was super helpful. An oasis of quiet in the fun chaos.

Great hotel and lovely staff. It's amazing for the price point. Rooms were new, bright, and very clean. Swimming pool on sixth floor with nice view and a small bar. Wonderful breakfast restaurant on the river downstairs. Good location as well.

Perfect hotel. Great staff. Great room service. AC was very nice and always kept the rooms cool. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. Always a security guard outside of the hotel and super close to Khao San road and many different food places. Loved it. Will definitely come again.

It was our AQ hotel. Everything was great apart from the hotel getting our PCR result at 5.00pm and not informing us. We eventually found out we were free to leave at 8.30pm.

Nice service and good room with river view

Lovely place to rest, with amazing decor. We had a king bed. Swimming Pool is great, with good service for drinks. Coffee is fairly average. Air conditioning also switches off when you leave your room and is extremely noisy (sounds like heavy rain). Other then that great location and easy enough to get taxis in and out.

Stayed with my mum here, really enjoyed ourselves. Pool was nice, room was fine although Aircon was terrible. Pool bar was closed which was a pain as it meant leaving hotel for drinks but there was a 7-11 nearby and plenty of restaurants and street food nearby. Breakfast was okay, and the coffee was great (which was not the case at the next two hotels we stayed at!).

I stayed at the hotel several times before the corona virus and the service was always excellent. I arrived today to check in for 3 nights and the service was poor and the employees were rude, especially the manager of the hotel. I arrived at 11 in the morning, they told me that the check-in was at 2 in the afternoon, guests arrived after us and they got a room. We left the hotel and will never return.

A tranquil boutique hotel in heart of Bangkok, it was clean and well kept, super comfy beds, very nice staff. Location is amazing, you’re walking distance away from temples, party streets and great less known restaurants.

Very well maintained & clean Hotel. Incredible breakfast. Love the river side, specially looking at the catfishes are swimming around in the river. Would recommended hotel while you plan to stay nearest district of Khaosan Road (Khaosan Road or Khao San Road is a short street in central Bangkok) Road.

Pretty good hotel! No complaints either. Breakfast is amazing, not gonna lie. Location is also fairly central. And the bathrooms are also amazing! Love this place.

The breakfast and location was great. We had a delux riverside room and the rooms was small. It was hard to get the room serviced at times. But the staff was very helpful and kind.

  • 1/5 Maria A. 1 year ago on Google
Worst service ever… I strongly discourage you spending your money here. The hotel team doesn’t clean the room unless you ask for it, so we did. However, they keep forgetting it and they only cleaned it 1 night out of 4 nights. When we complained about it, they only apologized and did nothing about it. Really disappointing and frustrating.

  • 5/5 Carl H. 1 year ago on Google
Quiet and nice, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room, despite the hotel only being 3 stars. Nice and helpful staff. I really liked the breakfast buffet. Eating there next to the river in the mornings was peaceful.

We only stayed here one night. When we opened the room it smelled like nobody had been in there for awhile. It smelt stale. Also super hot at first. But oh well, we could get over that. In the bathroom I noticed a couple tiny ants. Maybe 3-5 in random spots. Didn’t love that but could get over it.. until I got back to the states. My toiletries had been on the hotel bathroom counter just one night and when I unpacked back home the next day there A MILLION ANTS crawling out of my toothbrush and also my to-go bottle of tums 🤮 so I now have to wash basically everything that was in my suitcase and throw out a lot of my bathroom things because I kept finding ants. So that’s why I’m giving this 1/5 stars.. so disgusting.

3 star hotel in the historic center of Bangkok. Positive, friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel has a swimming pool on the roof. Rooms are large. Great choice of food and drinks for breakfast I recommend this hotel!

  • 4/5 Samia S. 1 year ago on Google
Nice hotel located about 5-10 mins walk from Khao San Road, lots of shops and market stalls nearby. Rooms were spacious and clean, and staff were polite and friendly. Knocking a star off because I’m not sure how well the rooms are soundproofed, so we could hear people coming and going at night which woke us up a couple times.

  • 3/5 Emil C. 1 year ago on Google
Location is great and the room was well decorated. But the AC was very noisy and there was sewage smell. If you’re light sleeper you might want to avoid this hotel

  • 5/5 A. M. 11 months ago on Google
All in all it was a good hotel. The room was clean and everything worked well. The breakfast had a little bit small variety, but it was alright to get your tummy full. The hotel lays in the old part of Bangkok. So if you want to go to the modern part you need to drive there. I recommend the bus. With Google maps no problem and you also can see the city in another way. I cannot confirm the negative recessions.
