I wish I had an option to give zero stars. Receptionist not sure why she is there, what she is doing. Half of the time you can’t understand what she is saying. The experience here had been the worst of the worst on many occasions. - Even after getting an appointment, you go and wait there for more than an hour. - one day I booked a phone appointment and they gave me slot when the doctor would call. The doctor didn’t call that day without any notification. Next day I called to tell them, I didn’t get any call. Then they said they will call me soon. I waited for half day again. My pap test was done almost 4 months ago. When I call them to ask if the results are in, they say no. But how come it’s taking so long. I highly doubt if they are even telling the truth now. I dont know what’s going on with this clinic but seriously such clinics shouldn’t exist in the first place. Its a complete torture for people looking to get their medical solutions.

I'd like give it a zero, if that's all right. The receptionist's attitude is very bad. She will not give you information voluntarily, and she will be very impatient when you ask her again. Believe me, being here at a time when you feel helpless and in pain will make it even more painful.

Dr.Khanna is lovely and understanding but I simply cannot understand why she chose to hire a receptionist that is just painfully useless with the absolute worst service and communication. She had asked her receptionist on 4 different occasions to follow up with me for a list of specialists I needed. I was also supposed to get a referral and its been close to 9 months and still not a single update. Every time I come in, it’s the same run around. Dr.Khanna, please hire a new, competent receptionist.

This office GIVES me high blood pressure. THEY DO NOT RESPECT YOUR TIME! The Dr strolls in 45minutes after my appointment. I took the first appointment of the day to avoid waiting and I still had to wait almost an hour. She refuses to do medication refills by phone appointment or pharmacy renewal. And she will only give 3 months at a time. So every 3 months I have to take time off to get a refill. I’m tired of using my vacation time to sit in a waiting room. Can’t understand a thing the receptionist is saying. Nobody seems to know how the online booking system works. This whole office is a disaster.

Refuses to talk about more than one issue on an appointment even if it means your issue is causing you pain. Constantly tells you to book unnecessary follow up appointments. Refuses to have pharmacy request to refill meds which becomes inconvenient for elderly patients. It’s a walk in clinic so expect to be treated as a walk in patient all the time even if you’re a regular patient. If I had more options I would be with a different doctor.

This doctor will waste your time and make you come in for ANYTHING so she can bill for it. Unfortunately my previous family doc retired and I had to scramble to find someone that was accepting new patients and this is where I ended up. Expect to be in her office waiting long past your appointment time every three months if you have a prescription of any kind. Will take BP (Or at least inflate the cuff and note sort-of-accurate numbers) and listen to all of two lung fields for less than one respiratory cycle so she can bill for a more comprehensive exam even if you’re just there to get papers signed. Borders on OHIP fraud in my opinion, and I work in healthcare. To top it off, one of the receptionists is mind numbingly useless. If I had literally any other option I would be long gone.

Dr. Khana has been professional and provided me with treatment options when needed. As a smaller clinic the receptionist and Dr have to cover lot of ground so it can feel rushed. However I don’t believe this diminished the care I received. Sometimes walk-in appointments have long waits but this is the case with larger clinic as well.

This doctor is ridiculous. My wife has been suffering with her wrist pain for the last 3 weeks and the doctor cannot be fussed. No meds provided, no request for scans and a " please find a family doctor" comment when we try to get a professional opinion out of her. It's clinics and doctors like this that make the entire medical system look worse than it is!

I will not be taking my kids to this clinic again. Called the clinic spoke with receptionist weather i need to make an appointment or walk in as its a walkin clinic. I was told to make an appointment or you can walk in, o walkedbin with my son waited for more than 2 hours. Other patients came after us they were seen first, i asked the receptionist for our turn she said we give priority to patients who have an appointment. She should have informed me and made an appointment rather than sitting there. Very poor service.

Great experience! I had been looking for a female Dr for a while and was thrilled when Altona Medical opened. I’m very impressed with the cleanliness of the office and availability of appointments as well as low wait times in clinic. Joan is always able to find an appointment that works for my schedule and Dr Khanna listens to my concerns and explains everything clearly. I have never felt rushed during an appointment and feel ‘heard’ as a patient. I have and will continue to recommend Altona Medical to friends and family!

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Khanna for some time now and we are very impressed. She is kind, thorough, and listens attentively to concerns. Dr Khanna is excellent at recommending appropriate tests and following up on health concerns. We have received very high quality care from her and are extremely thankful to have this wonderful doctor as our family physician. I note some other reviewers have mentioned excessive wait times but this has never been our experience. Dr Khanna’s receptionist is unfailingly friendly and helpful. We are always able to book appointments in a timely manner, something that can’t be said of many medical practices these days. Healthcare workers have come through a difficult time (and the difficult times continue). Dr Khanna and her staff are to be applauded for their efforts taking care of patients.

The doctor will not take any reports information or listen to your concerns as part of the intake process or even after. She will leave you in her office in midst of an appointment and simply leave to tend to other patients as you wonder if she will ever return! She will deal with one issue and an apppointment and ask you to come back even if there are multiple related issues. She never sees any patient on time and is a minimum 30 to 60 min wait and she wants you to make an appointment to renew a prescription. She also does not like to order diagnostics or blood work so your care under her is and will remain a mystery!

Attended this walk in with my daughter who was suffering with an inner ear infection. She prescribed drops that the pharmacy attached didn't have in stock so she prescribed new drops that weren't even for an inner ear infection. Do not take your children here. I would rather wait hours at an ER to get seen by someone competent.

Awful clinic. Rude staff. Claimed I missed an appointment which I did not. Called in to book an annual appointment and was told I’d have to come in as a walk in customer and pay $45. Offered to pay the $45 if I truly missed an appointment and they refused. Said I’d have to come as a walk in customer to reconsider. From the very beginning, both the doctor and receptionist have been extremely condescending and rude. Very disappointing for our neighborhood family doctor. I’ll be booking elsewhere going forward and so will the rest of my family.

Useless staff and the doctor. They’ve so much ego and attitude. Front desk jun called and mentioned if you don’t show up to your appointment. We’ve to charge you $45. That’s our policy. I said I’m at work can I re-schedule it. She said no you can’t.I went there and re-schedule it then she called me back after 3hours Dr said we can’t book your appointment. You’ve to walk in. I wonder why do they have 2 star rating.

I think Dr. Khanna is a good doctor - I have been to many and she is the ONLY doctor that actually sent me to a neurologist to double check my symptoms. I have unknowingly had many symptoms of cervical stenosis for over a decade now and not one doctor thought to send me to a neurologist despite my family history - they just saw a young person and assumed it wasn’t serious. If not for her I would not have found out what was really going on with me and continued to be undiagnosed. I'm not faulting the other doctors for not knowing, but for not being thorough enough and ruling out a neurological problem when seeing symptoms that could be (and were in my case) a sign of something more serious. Dr. Khanna wasn't sure 100% and so to be thorough she sent me to a specialist. Also I am surprised by the reviews that say Dr. Khanna isn't friendly - I value her professionalism, and she gets right to the point of the matter. I feel that she does listen, and she has the same "one problem per visit" policy most doctors nowadays have. I feel like my male doctors were never rated so harshly for being serious in demeanor? I recommend making an appointment vs walk-in and yes they are often late but so is every other clinic I have ever been to. Sometimes they are disorganized (hence the four stars) but I feel that these are technical issues they are ironing out.

Can’t leave less than 1 start unfortunately. The reception is the most useless and frustrating I’ve ever encountered, and they give such a poor experience that it’s hard to be objective about whether dr Khanna is good or not. Receptionist had attitude, 0 communication skills, and is incapable of doing basic things like printing reports, requesting reports , or answering simple questions. Every time I have to come in is more frustrating than the last !

There's absolutely no respect for patients or their time here. Seek healthcare elsewhere whenever possible. I normally read reviews for medical practices with a grain of salt but the consensus here is correct... You are definitely just a health card swipe. I've been here for several appointments over the last few months and I can confidently tell you now to stay away from this clinic. The reception is disorganized, rude, and often clueless. I've even seen another patient rudely dismissed ("I don't know how long the wait time is") when she was simply wanting to ask where the restroom was. Appointments (even the first of the day) are double booked and 30-60 minutes late. But the final straw was when I found childcare for my toddler and brought my baby in for vaccinations that weren't even in stock when I arrived. Not even a courtesy phone call to save me the trip when it was known that the vaccines were unavailable since the week prior. Now my family is expected to continuously call back to check their status in order to then make another appointment. We'll be moving on.

Very poor service. I had to wait 2 hrs at the walk in clinic and there were only 4 patients. Receptionists are rude and unfriendly. The doctor is not someone who I would recommend either. Doesn't take the time to truly understand the problem and just makes assumptions. The best part was... an earlier patient was purchasing meds at the pharmacy and thought the price was too high and was bargaining with the doctor. She lowered the price. didn't think we could do that at a pharmacy LOL

The doctor arrived 40 mins late after the clinic opened. I told the receptionist I needed a prescription for Custom Orthopedic insoles and Compression Stockings. After waiting more than 2 hours when the doctor finally saw me, she mentioned that each prescription would cost $25. The receptionist should have told me about this so I would not have wasted my time in the lineup. The receptionist and the doctor were both rude and had bad attitudes. Avoid this location if you can. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Waited 2 hours as a walk-in for the doctor. Her first appointment was at 10 am, she walked into the office at 10:45am. Didn’t bother checking anything, was rude; then stated “get Tylenol” while I’m in excruciating pain. Oh Maybe you should go to your family doctor. No wonder why she has 2 stars on here.

I Don't recommend this clinic. The receptionist is lost and doesnt know anything. I give birth 5 weeks and took my new born for a check as he was congested. I didn't receive his new health card and still had the temporary from the hospital. The doctor refuse to see my baby because she saying my temporary health card is not valid while the card is valid for two months!!! The doctor would only see him if we had to lay $85!! This is completely unacceptable and I never experienced something like this before.

Don’t go to this clinic, I’m here right now Saturday May 27 and I have been waiting 17 minutes, I was there right when they opened at 10am, doctor is still not here and we are all waiting, the receptionist didn’t even say anything to us until I asked and she didn’t even register me for the walk-in after 17 minutes of waiting. The receptionist also did not sanitize the pens we were using to fill out the forms. Really bad service, not a place to help anyone
