Great hole in the wall spot! Very friendly staff, nothing fancy about the inside, and great value for the food. Very simple food done right. Ordered the nachos fiesta & enchiladas and both tasted great and fresh. Will definitely be back to try some other things on the menu!

Pleasantly surprised by its size quaint appearance. The food and service were top notch. A very casual Mexican restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. This was our first visit and not certain of what to expect. Had a great time and enjoyed everything placed infringe of us. Wished I had taken a few more descriptive photos, next time. We will be back!

Delicious, friendly, cosy. What a wonderful little gem. Do yourself a favour and get the nachos with Mexican sausage. Perfection. Also they have horchata!! One of very few places that do! The prices are also a steal and the portions are huge. Please support if you can. 😊

So glad to see Cielto Lindo is back operating as this is arguably the best Mexican restaurant in Durham maybe even the GTA. They have been serving up great food since 2006 until a fire next door in 2019 forced their shop to shut down. This family run restaurant stayed determined through the pandemic to make sure they would re-open and they finally did in March 2022. Finally stopped in today on a Monday, a day most restaurants choose to close. Ordered the Tabasco combo with a beef burrito in a spicy red sauce and a chicken enchilada in a green tomatillo sauce. Wow, fantastic flavour, it was sooo good. The rice was great as well along with the fresh salad and perfect creamy refried beans. Very large portions and amazing value at only $12.95. The churros were delicious as well. 3 large sticks of perfectly fried churros, crispy on the outside and warm and moist in the inside complimented by 3 different dips; strawberry, caramel and authentic sweet dark chocolate. Perfect way to end a great meal. Family run restaurant with great service. Friendly staff with a smile on their face. Forget all the other Mexican restaurants, this is the only one worth visiting for dine in or take out. Great food, large portions and very reasonable prices.

Small local family restaurant, first time visit. Best Mexican food in the area. Food taste yummy, good portion, affordable price, I don't usually like bean sauce, but I finish everything on the plate.

Read about the great reviews and we wanted to try this place out. I have to say that the customer service is a bit slow. It took about 5 minutes for someone to greet me and hand me a menu. Then from there, it took another 15 minutes between ordering my takeout order and paying before I waited another 15-20 minutes for my food. Besides all this, the food is spectacular. We had shrimp, chicken, veggie, and ground beef tacos. They were delicious. The chicken tacos could use a bit more seasoning however they provided some hot sauce and Mariana/Tomato sauce. This is the first authentic Mexican restaurant I've tried that wasn't overpriced and in downtown Toronto. 3 tacos for 12.95 is a great deal. Definitely coming back to this place in this future.

This is a gem of a place located near the jucntion of Kingston and Brock. The place is small and has a few tables and is run by a small team. The food is exquisite and delightful. Must try the chorizo its so good. We tried enchiladas and burritos with it and absolutely loved it. The chimichanga is great to and best part is everything is make to order. Highly recommended.

This place truly is the most authentic tasting Mexican I’ve ever had in the GTA. Having a family home for over 30 years in Mexico I can tell the difference. It’s worth the drive for you to see for yourself. I couldn’t give them a perfect five star review because my wife wanted to try the Basa fish and at lunchtime they already said they didn’t have it available.

First time eating here and I must say, the cozy ambiance, the friendly service and the super tasty food are all amazing. It's a small family run establishment where the dad is the cook and the son the waiter. The prices are reasonable and the potion size is great too.

A bit of a wait on a busy Saturday evening, but the dine-in service was outstanding. This will be my go-to spot for Mexican cuisine in the area!

Randomly found this place from Google Maps and I love it! Excellent food, excellent service. It’s a couple who run the place and they’re amazing. I had the taco salad and I couldn’t finish it. I will be returning because I want to try every single thing on their menu. I returned and tried a whole lot of delicious food and now I will be a regular. Be warned, their spice levels are the real deal.

Service was a little slow but honestly, it's worth the wait. Staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. Portions seemed massive. I need a nap.

We discovered this little gem late! We came for lunch around 12pm on a Wednesday and were transported to Mexico with the bright colours and quirky decor. Here is my assessment: We ordered the Tabasco "Create-a-combo and the Beef tacos (2 soft, 1 crispy) Both dishes were so flavourful and delicious! every single item was perfectly seasoned. They're homemade hot sauce was so good that I took some home with me! We got the flan for dessert and this is why I took off one star. Although the presentation and the flavour was excellent, the texture was a bit dense. We will definitely come back here and try other dishes!!

Amazing Mexican Food ! Cozy little restaurant with Mexican food you could tell was cooked fresh. Everything we had was delicious .. definitely one of the best tres leche cakes I have had. If you haven’t tried the Tamarind Juice highly recommend as well. Prices and portions are excellent.

This spot is legit, fresh ingredients, authentic recipes. We had the Fish Tacos, the Cancun and Enchilada Suiza, and loved it all. Ooh, and the guacamole is sublime.

Cielito Lindo is a charming neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Although not a big place the restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere. Service was friendly. The food was delicious and the prices were quite reasonable. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a cozy and satisfying dining experience.

Small family owned and run local favourite restaurant. The two owners are the chef and the server. They make foods fresh to order with friendly service. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delightful food .. but with very slow and inattentive service .. We had the following: 1. Camarones Calientes : Shrimp in spicy sauce. Just passable. 2. Sizzling Fajitas for two (chicken) : Amazing flavour and quite a large portion 3. Tabasco create-a-combo : One Beef Burrito in a red sauce and one Chicken Enchilada is a tangy green tomatillo sauce. The tomatillo sauce was the best - but the scene stealers were the creamy refried beans and the rice 4. Basa Fish with Camarones : Crisp fried Basa fish and shrimp served doused with a brilliant Chipotle sauce. This was the best of the lot !!! 5. Fried Ice Cream - This was a real let down 6. Churros - Oh the churros - they were so magical, fresh out of the fryer and drizzled with cinnamon sugar. Great way to end a great meal 7. Sodas to drink The bill amount came up to exactly $100. Please be prepared to wait - both for ordering and for the food to be delivered to your table. We went around 2:30 pm on a Saturday when some of the other diners were about to leave and even though there weren't enough patrons then, we still had to exercise a lot of patience and fight the urge not to walk out after getting frustrated with the wait.

3-4 time eating here and they are excellent every time. The food seems authentic, is flavorful, and our favourite are the enchiladas Suisa and the tres leches cake! The service is also so amazing and kind.

Our first time here, loved the ambiance, food and the family who run this small little homely Mexican restaurant. Since it’s a family run restaurant there’s a bit of a wait when you come in during busy time, but they work really hard to cater on time.. For us it was worth the wait! Took about 15 mins.

I was doubtful to try this restaurant as my previous experiences with authentic Mexican have all left something to be desired. I can honestly say this restaurant was a pleasant surprise and on of the best meals I’ve enjoyed as much in years. The service was impeccable and the food was clearly made with care and love as you don’t just throw together meals that are that perfectly seasoned and balanced. If you haven’t tried it please do but take the time to go in, you won’t be disappointed!
