I used to come to this Swiss chalet all the time and I decided to give it a try after 10+ years. The service was fine, maybe waited a little longer than normal for someone to take our order. We got a couple apps to start then quarter chicken/half chicken meals with fries. It’s your average Swiss chalet- nothing standout or impressive just solid Swiss.

The absolute worst experience I've had at this Swiss Chalet location in all the years that I've been a patronizing customer. My family and I have come to this location for over 15 years, and the quality has gone downhill for the past while. We arrived at around 7:30 PM and were seated, then ordered drinks. The dining room was empty with only 5 tables seated - our included. We ordered a double leg dinner with regular fries and a quarter white dinner with sweet potato fries - both with a chalet salad. The salad dressing was so sweet that you could've used it as molasses for a cake. We encountered some issues with our server - Our waitress was ignorant, lacked customer service skills and didn't do anything to provide a good experience. Apparently, it's fine to let customers sit for nearly an hour without at least providing some napkins or ''checking in to see if everything's all right?''. When our food arrived - it was already disappointing. Sweet potato fries are pre-portioned and not worth the menu price - If I wanted ''pre-portioned'' food, I'd go to a soup kitchen, not Swiss Chalet. When the Manager had come to remedy the issue - they were defensive, provided corporate policy excuses and quickly brushes us off in hopes of us being satisfied. The manager claimed the ''Kitchen was backed up in orders'' when we asked to remedy our food. Despite only 5 tables being seated - and the takeout area was empty (we saw when we walked in) they continued pressing the excuse of a backup in orders. I can understand a kitchen backup if they had the entire dining room filled, but otherwise, this was a poor excuse. Truly a dissatisfying experience.

This place needs a major makeover as it feels very outdated, dark and depressing compared to other Swiss Chalets we have been to. We almost walked out but stayed once our server came over. The service was great and the food was just as good and plentiful...but man, I think I'd still choose a more updated Swiss Chalet that has the bar area like the one on the West side of Pickering.

I had the new burger from here, it was well packed and very tasty!

This is the most basic Swiss Chalet I've been to. They only have the typical dishes, quarter leg, double leg, etc. They don't have some of the limited time dishes or new dishes that most of the other Swiss Chalets have. Also, I noticed that food is served I different types of containers. For example the chalet sauce came in paper cups and some in ceramic. Some kids drinks came in kids cups and others in regular cups. The kids always get "worms n dirt" dessert, here they were premade in paper cups and kept in the fridge so the texture of the dessert was totally different. They also didn't have milk for the kids or some juices, only apple. I guess it's not a busy location and they try to keep the cost down for certain things. The lady Mina that helped us was great, seemed like she did everything. She was the host that greeted us and sat us, she took our orders, brought our food (with 2 others), took our dishes and took out payment. I saw she did the same for the 5 other tables that were occupied. Kudos to her and for keeping great energy throughout.

Swiss Chalet has stood the test of time. Same good quality food since I was a kid. Quality is good and value is good. Great service from Mina.

Did a late lunch with my kids and though my first impression is always the same; I just want to leave the moment I stepped in. You see, this location doesnt have that welcoming feeling and looks dated and the staff just seems as if they dont want to be there. But I stayed because my daughter wanted their burger and the other location dining room was closed. I ordered the crispy chicken which is on for a limited time and OMG it was delicious and per usual the coleslaw was great. Didnt get my server's name but she was just truly amazing in terms of her attitude; knowledge wise with regards to using a coupon she had to go to management and when she came back she bypassed our table to attend one, then another, then another then finally getting to us. They need more servers. Wished I got her name though, because she needs to be mentioned by it. Her attitude towards her work is A+. There were two servers that day and she is the taller of the two. My daughter loved her veggie burger and my son enjoyed the rotisserie chicken. The service was quick. Just a side note. The coupon can't be used for the quarter crispy chicken, even though the coupon offer is for quarter chicken, but dont let that stop you, it is really good.

Visited Swiss Chalet, one of my favourite branches that has turned into an annual tradition with my family. The interior exudes an early 2000s vibe, providing a nostalgic touch that's somewhat missing in today's restaurant chains. The service, especially from our server Sue, has consistently been top-notch. Our table was packed with hearty choices for a family of four: Ribs Sandwich, Ribs and Mashed Potatoes, Ribs and Quarter Chicken, and the seasonal special - Quarter Chicken with a salad and chicken soup. The ribs were flavourful, and the chicken dishes were satisfyingly filling. Overall, I cherish this location for its atmosphere, attentive staff, and delightful food, making it a favourite for our family outings.

We've been going to this location for a long time and always enjoy it, even as the chicken size keeps shrinking. A long-time employee was there and she is the best. Sadly, she was the only one working the busy tables, so she was run off her feet.

We came out to swiss chalet for dinner, the food was pretty middle of the road quality. The cutlery they originally gave me was dirty(see picture), the floors were very cold(this is on a cold winter day). Probably not going back

I ordered delivery and noticed in my order confirmation it didn't show my special request. I called the location asap to ensure it didn't get delivered wrong. I spoke to Lauren on the phone. She was very professional, friendly and accommodating. She put me on a brief hold to check with the kitchen and retify the order. Thank you so much Lauren!! It's people like you in the food industry that make all the difference. I hope she and her superiors see this. You were awesome!!!

Nina is the best! I usually dine on weekend afternoons and she's always there! She works so hard and is so kind to every guest! I feel so welcomed and cared for and the service I receive is fast, accurate, and friendly! The food is always great too! I only want to be served by her!

We ordered the Family Pack+added extra sides on March 4th pick up time @1930. Fries were bad, all three boxes of them mostly had skin more than potatoes. Even my son said it wasn’t good, who loves their fries. Cabbage in the Coleslaw seems to be getting bigger and bigger pieces. I used to love their coleslaw but last few times we ordered, the cabbage was cut up in chunks. One part of the chicken was burnt (see the pictures attached) Only best part was the chalet sauce Didn’t enjoy the meal tonight at all.

Sharon was an absolutely amazing server, she was incredible and so sweet. You can tell her coworkers absolutely adore her, she was such a delight and absolutely funny. Food was as great as it always is. Incredible experience, thank you for everything it was incredible being your customer. I love my corgi🤍🩷 Merry Christmas!!🎄

Visited this location at around 6pm on a Friday. The restaurant was dead along with the atmosphere. Our server got the order wrong and once she served the food, she disappeared until it was time for the bill. I have a feeling our food was warmed up in the microwave but I can't prove it. The restaurant had less than 10 customers and she still disappeared. This location has no pulse.

I haven't been dining at Swiss Chalet for more than 4 years. This was before my grandfather died. Anyway, the food was very nice and our waiter, Maria, is a very nice person. She got us anything that we requested such as a salad and rotisserie chicken. At the end, she was nice for me to give me a box to take my dinner home since I had a hockey game going on. Will be back sometime in the future!

We went there for Dinner, The restaurant needs some updating. It was not clean as well. Spring Roll Appetizer came to us soaking in oil & burnt. The bread bun was a bit dry like it may have been a day old. Our waitress was good & friendly, but overall the quality of food needs much improvement.

I've been to a few other Swiss Chalet locations and have to say they are the quickest at getting you your food. Great job guys!

Jus left this place..when we went in no one was there to greet us..we stood there for 5min . My husband had to go in the kitchen to call some. When they seen him someone shouted "someone's at the door"??!! Really lol. Horrible. We finally sat down ...waited another 7min with not one person coming to the table.. so we got up and left!. Crazy I'm not sure what's going on ..will definitely not go back to there not sure how there running there business..BTW it was EMPTY! 3 other tables in the entire restaurant also not one person eating!!! Weird.

Resturant is dated and dark. Signs of water damage in the dining area, definitely needs an update. Server was good when she was around, and the food was good.

Disappointed. Ive been to many swiss chalets so dont want to ruin it for the others but this place was just awful. Food was cold and tastless. Felt like i was eating leftovers like they just popped the food in the microwave. It was a red flag when i got there bcs we didnt smell any food actually cooking. More like just heating up old food. The atmosphere wasnt the greatest but better than the food. The washrooms were smelly and dirty and even had a portrait hanging off the wall they tried covering a hole upove the toilet. The washrooms were dark lit probably so that people wouldn't see all the nasty. Even dark it was filthy. But at least it had toilet paper and soap. Im not sure hiw this place is open. Its a shame bcs the front entrance is really cozy like. Service wasnt the greatest but than again you should see the place. not helpful and messed up on orders. I didn't like the fact that they grouped people.together when an entire restaurant had tons of empty tables towards the middle and back. Down 80 dollars but the kids enjoyed the icecream. Dont eat here.

Dinner was okay....my salad looked a little tired. If this is the Swiss Chalet at Brock and Kingston Rd, the decor is very worn, dark and depressing. The windows need washing to let in the sunshine. Flower arrangements (artificial?) would add a cheery note. If this isn't the one at Brock & Kingston Rd, please fwd to them.

Fast and friendly service. The food was good, it’s what you would expect from Swiss chalet. The prices have gone up with inflation but overall it’s decent value for the money you spend

Could not go without sharing. I have also shared this with Swiss Chalet directly. 1/Just got home after going with my mom and son. Hot, stale air hit us like a wall when we entered. Seated beside a window, asked server if window could be opened but wasn’t possible. After few minutes told her didn’t think we’d be able to stay. She agreed it was hot and said she’d ask if AC could be turned on. Done. Felt much better within about .15mins But the best… dessert. Two slices of coconut cream pie. Attached pic says it all. Server said they ran out and smaller one was from Loblaws. She made it right by bringing a “normal” slice which she said she took from a takeout order. There’ll be a surprise for anyone who ordered CC pie takeout when they get home. Unbelievable, but true. UPDATE: Kudos to their Customer Service who responded to me within an hour. They said they’ve had a shortage & store bought was a backup for delivery orders when they can’t get through to the guests and that it should never have been served in the dining room. Offered 2 complimentary quarter meals.

An average swiss chalet. Wait staff are pleasant and do their job with efficiency. The food is basic swiss chalet, which is good when you just need something to sustain you after a traumatic day. Food tastes good consistently and not too complicated for a stomachs.

Not busy. Friendly and got my order correct. And the food was still hit when I got it home. Pretty quick service.

It was a good experience here. The was friendly and fast. Moreover, wings was also crispy and delicious. The location was very eye catchy and clean.

This Swiss Challet is good depending on what time you order. Ive notice if I place an order first thing in the day (around lunch), the portions are huge. They load the container with fries and gave the best chicken. Later on in the day, when ordering, I think they skimp out and portions become much smaller. Just my observation. Overall same taste and good service!

The chicken is always delicious and the service is quick. The chicken here seems to be a little larger than other Swiss Chalet locations, but maybe that's just my imagination.

The new chicken sandwich is the best I ever had.

My husband and I went to Swiss Chalet pickering location for dinner. It is Wed night and very few people there. We both ordered quarter chicken dinner, white meat. The server was Sue. She was very friendly and very attentive. The meals came quickly and everything was hot. The chicken was very moist, not dry at all. Sue noticed that my husband finished his sauce was finished and asked if he would like more. We both enjoyed the meal very much and will definitely eat here again when we're in the area.

Disappointed - ordered the double leg dinner on Uber eats - the chicken is burnt and can’t get through the meal. The fries also do not taste good, they also have a lingering burnt taste as well. If you’re in Pickering it might be worth going to the other Swiss chalet on whites road instead.

This is a secret location. You've got Mina who is a fabulous host/waitress. The food was fresh and they have great deals on their menu. What can I say, I'm definitely returning!

This review is for delivery.. ordered a family meal with spring rolls... Look at the spring rolls. Would you serve these to your dine-in customers? They tasted horrible. The other 2 were also over-done. Also, most of our fries were the small little overcooked and dehydrated ones, like we got all the broken bits at the end of a batch. Do better on takeout Swiss Chalet.

We ordered from here tonight, first time at this location. Food was as expected, the chicken, fries and sauce very delicious. Will order again for sure. On a side note, I guess it been awhile since our last time having the swiss, but we were pleased to find that the quarter chicken dinners came in paper boxes with well positioned dividers (keeping everything nicely contained). Thankfully the plastic containers which made the food soggy are gone. It reminded me of take away foods before plastic, when food was served in paper, paper bags etc. Good move Swiss Chalet! Excellent service & food at a very reasonable price. We had dinner there & since we had no hydro due to a recent storm we brought our laptops to change. The server told us to stay as long as we need to charge our devices. Super pleasant staff.

My ribs where so tough I couldn't eat them. I only have one arm to pick at them. And usually they come apart real easy (fall off the bone) not this time they where so tough I couldn't eat them. And all my other food got cold while I was trying. I always loved Swiss Chalet but now I'm never ordering from there again

First time at this location. I was greeted with a smile. Ordered take out. Fast and polite. Very good meal. Will be returning. Keep up the good work.

Used to go here frequently. Place is dark and dingy. Seat cushions badly torn. Napkins given looked like someone handled with gravy on hands. Cutlery dirty. Ordered wraps and soup for three people. Wraps were soggy but chicken dry. One of the bowls of soup had no chicken in it and pasta shells in soup had been in there a long time. Even with a coupon it came to nearly $60. Won't be back.
