This is the first time at the Pickering west Swiss Chalet location for us. It was a larger building and well designed. Staff were supper friendly and helpful. Restaurant was well lite and clean. See pictures!!! Staff Lynn S. went way beyond her job to allow us to enjoy our stay.

We always get the festive holiday special this time of year. This year was just for two and it was still really tasty. Lots of good food. Chicken was tender, stuffing was great, sweet potato fries were tasty especially with the dipping sauce, green beans were good, and the Swiss chalet dipping sauce was addictive as always. This location does well. Can’t say they’re perfect but they do well.

We have been here a few times and when we get served by Lyn we are very very happy!! She is amazing!!! Today she was on her own!?? And had upto 12 tables!? Doesn't make sense!? Can't believe the owners would have someone on there own !!?? But Again as always she was amazing!! Great personality great services and care and going to steal her to work with us at our restaurant!!

This is our "go to" Swiss Chalet that never lets us down! My wife Angela and I try our best to make it our Friday night ritual. Sharon is a server who has become our "friend" over the years and we always look forward to seeing her. The food is reliable, the atmosphere is warm, and we love to support our community. The owner Armindo is "top shelf" and is always happy to walk through the restaurant saying hello to the patrons....a very nice touch. Great job Swiss Chalet! The Nicolle Family!

I didn’t realize that Swiss chalet was serving rotisserie Cornish hen given the size of the chicken. I was utterly disappointed in the 2 can dine meal. Both pieces of chicken were the size of my palms when it’s supposed to be a whole leg. Even when a leg is baked, it isn’t that small. I feel like I paid $40 for more fries than anything. I understand inflation is a serious issue, but cmon, do something about your chicken. We are all working hard and expect better from our Canadian chains. The 1 star goes directly to the cashier at the front of the restaurant where you pick up food. She was very nice and helpful and willing to offer me extra sauce as the last time I ordered, I got no chalet sauce. Yep, no chalet sauce from Swiss chalet. Really disappointed

Good location, lots of parking. Great, consistent food and very friendly service, as well as following all cv19 protocols. Everything was excellent. They have a take out counter as well. Recommended for chicken and ribs.

Placed order online tonight for pick up. Ordered 2 crispy chicken sandwiches, one spicy and one not and both with fries. Was not ready when arrived so I know it was not waiting for me when I went in to pick it up. The fries were cold and for the 2nd time… both sandwiches were spicy. Same thing happened a couple of weeks ago. I double checked my email order and receipt and I had only ordered one spicy sandwich. It is not really extra spicy but can only eat about 1/3 of it. If you order this make sure if you don’t want any spice , check your order before you leave. It’s a pretty simple request.

Very unfortunate late night experience. Went for dine-in but the receptionist said I can’t and that section is closed because its not busy! Had to do a pickup instead. Choose to try their new advertised - Chicken, shrimp with rice. Quantity is really very poor for something that costs CAD $21… The Rice quantity- very poor, very oily. The chicken and shrimp -barely ok. Nothing more than a kids meal quantity! Well, no spoon or fork and no knife as well. And no napkins at all in the bag which is smaller that box. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Hay Swiss- how about adding proper portion of food instead of using a second box inside first to fill the space. And keeping the sauce outside so that the actual food can cover that space. Great money grab!!

This Swiss Chalet is the friendliest of all the Chalets we've been to. The servers are excellent and always go out of their way to ensure an enjoyable meal. Tonight Ella M. was our server and she was wonderful. She greeted us warmly and provided great service. We really enjoyed our meals. Jenna is very kind and always has something nice to say. She even remembers my mum's name which is very sweet and my mum appreciates it so much. Thanks to everyone at this location.

Was waiting for my order today 30min for pick up, people at the take out didn’t pay attention to me at all, turned out it was always there waiting for me, but they were too busy to check with me, they saw me the entire time, just didn’t care. Then They offered to give me a warm fresh order, turned out it was the same one, fries were ice cold, didn’t give me any butter and gave me wrong pies! My mother in law allergic to pumpkin, guess what, she got stuck with pumpkin pie instead of apple. The worst location ever! They always mess up my orders, yet I go there because it is close to my home! Well, I won’t go there anymore, will survive without Swiss Chalet! Shame!

It was a very surprising visit that left me surprised they redeemed themselves thank you for the 2 can dine 20$( you get a quarter chicken for extra you can get two types of glaze with a side and a bun with their chalet sauce *Not a big fan of it). I’m slowly getting my self esteem checked in 2024 and you Swiss chalet help me bump it up on an another level

Sharon was a fabulous waitress. She was very attentive and kind and treated our family like she was an excellent hostess and we were coming to her home. The food was hot and fresh. The atmosphere is new and nice. There's great background music too. Highly recommend!

Been here a number of times with my gf and we both love it so much. It's probably my favorite Swiss around. Food is always piping hot, fresh and the servers are hard workers, wish I could remember there names. Stay away from take out🤠

Great setting. Restaurant was busy but our server Liz was on top of our table and orders , regularly checking on us and making sure every detail was correct and our dining experience was perfect. We had an amazing family dinner and would gladly visit again

Food was actually really good. Better than what it usually is. I've gone to this location a few times this summer though and everytime we order fountain drinks their is this strange taste like the hoses that dispense the beverage haven't been cleaned in forever. The waitress did confirm that they fixed the problem and the taste seemed to be fine for the Pepsi, but the lemonade tasted horrible because obviously the machine isn't clean 100% yet. Regardless, the servers are always amazing and everytime I've said something they've kindly provided me bottles drinks with no hassle. Despite the dodgy drinks, I'll definitely be back at this location.

Best experience ever at a Swiss chalet. Sharon really took care of us, and went beyond expectation. The hospitality was unreal, and made my partner and I feel very welcomed. I will for sure come back just for her.

Always enjoy the chicken with Chalet sauce. Reminds me of eating here with my grandma every time. It's very consistent and affordable.

I use to work here at this location 13 years ago in take out when I was just 16 and I recently moved back to Durham and had to come back! To start; the host was so nice and welcoming and our server was one of the nicest and personable servers I think I’ve ever come across In any restaurant!. Food was HOT, FRESH and quick! Definitely impressed. And of course felt so homey, the reason I love Swiss chalet.

Both Lynn and Sharon went out of their way to make our dining experience run smoothly. We have been coming to this location for many years because of these two "great and friendly" servers, along with the properly cooked meals, not like other locations we have visited in the past. Hope these two servers stay and train others how to satisfy customer needs. It is well worth the extra drive for the friendly and quality service, along with the delicious and well prepared food.

This is probably the friendliest Swiss chalet my family has ever been to. The past few different locations I’ve visited I’ve gotten the quarter chicken dinner and it’s been quite disappointing. This time we all tried the sandwiches and they were fantastic. I didn’t get the name of our server but she was phenomenal. 10/10 recommend this is a great place!!

Great experience here! Not going to lie, I’m pretty impressed with how far Swiss Chalets have come with the renovations. I’m giving 5 starts just for the amazing chalet sauce. But serious, my server was Josh and he was very helpful. He came to ask me about my experience just the right amount of times and I’ll definitely be back. 👌

This was my first visit at this location and I am rating this location with 5 stars because of the excellent service we received by our server Lynn S! Lynn you made us feel so welcome, your incredible humour kept us smiling, you were attentive and did not interrupt our conversations. I love this location: everything is always clean, service is stellar, and the food is prepared perfectly. (fresh, warm buns, lots of butter and the 1/4 chickens are a good size too) We usually go in the afternoons, as our daughter loves Lynn and Sharon... but tonight: we got there later and Linda took fantastic care of us. (seriously never had bad service here and we go at least a few times a month.) The Fish: omg! so good; the sauce is not tartar, but a fresh, creamy dill. I then saw a stir fry was now available: will try that next and let you know how it goes.

Best value for any family meal in Canada. We are a family of 5 and always eat for under $70. Staff is the best at this location in Pickering!!

Had Linda as our server. She was excellent. Very prompt, very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Garlic cheese loaf is recommended. Also, the chocolate brownie cheesecake is delicious!

Even though we came in the middle of the dinner rush , we had an amazing time. Our waitresses name was Sharon and I've got to say that she was one of the best waitresses I've ever had. She was very friendly and accommodated our every need, would definitely go back as long as Sharon is still working there!

Dinner was great, our server Jaenae was very warm and inviting, however the manager was not friendly at all..

Last week ordered the crispy chicken meal. Some variation between the picture and what you get is warranted but whoever made the chicken clearly had no idea. The seasoning was added after frying and was too much in some places and non existent in others. There was no breading. Called and got a credit for the next order in the amount I paid . So we gave them another chance today for takeout. They tried to lower the credit by $10 (person at cash said it was punched incorrectly “in error”), we waited almost 30 mins for food (quarter chicken dinners - not making the crispy chicken mistake again) and a side was missing when we got home. No one is picking up the phone so we can get our side, so guess we’re out a side tonight. Pretty disappointing.

Went the this swiss chaket last night at 7:30 pm for a takeout order. When i got home the boxes were leaking grease from the fries... i tried some fries and they were rock hard and i actually cracked a filling. Taking old fries and dunking them in oil to make them appear fresh should never be done, but it clearly was and now i have a cracked tooth. Never eating here again. Wanna pay for my cracked tooth???

I decided to try the new crispy chicken sandwiches and ordered 2 on-line. They were ready when promised and I like the new packaging. However the bun on my sandwich was soggy and burnt. The chicken was dry and tasteless. I did not like the sauce but the fries were excellent as always. I found the sandwich very expensive compared to the quarter chicken and would not order again. Disappointed.

We went out to dinner and we were a large group of 14. We were served by Sharon and she was incredible! Excellent server, so happy, very efficient and didn’t miss a beat! Our food was hot , great portions and very good value! I would highly recommend this location and our amazing server! All staff were smiley and very accommodating! Thank you to manager and all employees for making it a memorable experience!

This Swiss Chalet location is our go to place. The atmosphere and staff are always very friendly, especially Sharon who has become a great friend over the years. She has a great personality and a wonderful sense of humor. Armindo (the owner) at times, would come over to say hello to us. I do appreciate the warm reception and excellent service. I would recommend this location to my friends and family. Thanks again.

Such an amazing server I had tonight, Lynn is more then fabulous. So so so friendly, kind, funny and has such amazing energy and personality! She took time to connect with me and my friend personally which is very important for a server. I give Lynn a 20/10!!! If you come here I highly recommend sitting in Lynn’s section!!! Best server I’ve ever had by far!!

Clean location with very welcoming staff. While hit hard due to Covid shut downs, the place is working hard to welcome back customers in a safe and clean environment. Plus, fresh fries, 1/4 chicken, white meat and gravy taste better freshly served at the table rather than delivery or take out!

Today we took our family out for lunch and had a wonderful experience courtesy of Sharon our server. Sharon is a bundle of positive energy. She made our lunch perfect! Courteous, attentive and delightful. We'll be back thanks to Sharon!

Visited this location on Wednesday for take out. We got the ribs and chicken combo. Met the manager Jenna who took my order and was a pleasure to deal with. Everything was spot on. Food, service and taste! Will be back!!

It’s been a while since we’ve dined in at Swiss Chalet and let me tell you, the service was exceptional! We were there for my MIL’s birthday and we were absolutely nostalgic over the chicken dinners! Sharon was an amazing server and attentive to our order. She checked in with us to make sure everything was going well and even engaged in conversation with my 3.5 year old. The food was piping hot, fries were delicious and my daughter who has an egg allergy was able to eat everything! They had a couple vegetarian options which catered to my husband. Overall, an awesome evening! We will return soon.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Our server Sharon C was exceptional at her job and super friendly. The food was delicious and came quickly. Definitely recommend. Might be the best service we've ever had!

My family and I went for our daughter's 4th birthday on August 15th. They had a promo where kids ate free for each paying adult at the time PLUS my daughter ate free because it was her birthday (didn't know that). At the location we were at, Lynda and Jenna were an amazing server and manager team! They made our experience a fantastic one and they made our little girl feel special on her birthday! The food was fresh and delicious too! We highly recommend this location! 👍🏻🙂

Ordered the Family Pack in the drive-thru at Whites & Kingston. We were the only vehicle in the line, yet still sat for 10 minutes waiting for our food. Assumed we were getting fresh food - boy were we wrong! The chicken was way overcooked and lukewarm, and all four containers of fries were lukewarm and at most 2/3 full. Tried to call the store a half-dozen times but no one would pick up. But on a positive note, the staff working the window were very friendly!
