Pet Value has been an experience that's totally potive for me. Today I walked in as I do after my workouts sometimes to grab treats for Buck. The staff have always been cheerful and funny. I was most impressed today when I got to the cash, I heard them speaking about a customer that was sweating at the cashier. No one took it to heart, in fact they were all smiles and we were able to connect on that behaviour they witnessed. It's a good store, double doors, shopping carts, and nice big spaced isles to get anyone in with mobility issues. Quality is higher there than the larger types of pet food stores, so I would keep coming back here.

By far one of THE best Pet Valu locations to visit! It's clear the manager handpicks her staff carefully as I've always had a great experience every time! The way Donna genuinely loves her furry clientele is incredible 💕🐾💕

Nice and clean, friendly staff. Could get a better selection of fish products, but has the basics. A little pricey but has a great food selection for cats and dogs.

Best pet store in the Durham region! Bonnie and Kayla are so knowledgeable and truly recommend the top products for your dog. When I rescued my dog he had a sensitive stomach and Bonnie recommended the perfect food for my pup! Highly recommended her knowledgeable view on the best food for your dog. This is a great pet store that cares about their customers and really provides amazing service. Will be back for my usual every few weeks visit! I also can’t wait for their next $10 nail trims hosted by Bullies in Need! Such a great event held at the store and highly recommend Jenny for the nail trims.

The lady who served me this evening carried the cat litter to my car, even helped take it to the counter for check out. Those bags are heavy & she was so kind to assist. Wow! Thank you. She was so thoughtful, engaging & exceptionally knowledgeable with the various brands of products. My cat (Buddy) will be happy. Thanks for the great Customer Service.

Manager Amy was extremely rude and unfriendly, she should not be working in customer service until she fixes her attitude. I usually don’t come to this location and rightfully so apparently, I will never be returning.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They were very knowledgeable about their products and had a good sense of pet needs and what stock they have that would assist. Plus they have a self serve dog wash and provide the shampoo, towels, and dryer machine to help get your pooch sparkly clean

Well I wish I had known about this years ago, but they have a self-serve dog wash station at this location. No more wrestling the huge doggos into the bath tub at home and getting wetter than they do and hurting my back. Every kind of shampoo and conditioner imaginable, towels and aprons for your use and a really quiet dog-friendly blow dryer hose. Super reasonable at $12. They've got a customer for life!!

My child and I are still upset with the experience we had at the pickering location yesterday evening. I am shocked at how poorly this particular staff member treated us.. She waved her finger at us and said "don't try that with me" implying we were trying to scam the store, when she was the one who removed the clearance sticker for 12.90 and charged us 39.54 thinking we did not see the discount. When we were leaving after getting a refund, she said "leave the store"... No one should ever have to experience what we did last night.

Store has really gone down hill since this new miserable manager started. Holes all over the store when it was always stocked so well. Doesn't seem like they can keep the good staff either. Such a shame

The customer service here is terrible. The staff never greet you and you are treated like an inconvenience. I stopped coming here for months, I decided to give them another chance today and the reaction was the same. I asked a question and the cashier kept cutting me off giving me wrong answers, no one greeted me, in fact I greeted them. I've been to other locations where the staff were friendly and accomodating, but that has never been the case here during the year + I've been shopping here. I'm giving them 2 stars due to one interaction with a fantastic part-time young lady. I have been going the extra distance to Ren's instead, despite living 3 mins away from this location and it looks like that will continue going forward.

I came here a couple of days ago and it didn't sit well with me. When I came in I was not greeted and the staff just stood together gossiping. I couldn't find what I needed so I had break up their huddle. Kayla reluctantly helped me find the item I needed and made me feel like I was ruining her day in the process. What a sad excuse for customer service. I'm not sure if she's new, but she obviously needs more training.

Very knowledgeable...recommended a new food which was heathier then science diet and cheaper and my cat is very appreciative he loves it!!! Good job, very nice staff.

Everytime I go here the staff are really nice and very attentive. The staff are knowledgeable enough to always give me an answer to all the questions I normally have.

I would like to share my experience while visiting this location over the weekend. The store was busy but what I saw was out of expectation for a store. One of the staff members, I believe her name was Donna was a little erratic to say the least. I was standing in line with a few other customers when the phone rang and another staff member passed this staff the phone, she began to yell at whoever was on the phone, and slammed the phone off the counter to which we heard “well I dealt with them”. As well, during my time grabbing my cat food, I overheard her talking rudely to other staff and customers. It made me feel uncomfortable. I will not be returning to this location, which is unfortunate because I liked coming here.

Love the 10$ charge for your facilities to wash your own dog I don't have to bend over to wash, rinse, or dry him!
