    I frequently drop by my nearby PetSmart store to check out their latest offerings and discounts. Over the years, I've made several purchases at this location, ranging from African Grey Parrot food to dog treats and clothing. I even acquired a Siamese Fighter Fish from there. The staff at this store has consistently impressed me with their friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge. It's a convenient place to shop, offering a wide array of choices, and there's usually a great deal to be found.

    Very bad experience with the dog groomers today! Groomer explained that our dog was very anxious so she could not finish the haircut and just left our dog looking very unkempt instead of looking clean. We paid $117 for a very disappointing job. Will not recommend to anyone.

    PetSmart is one of the first pet+friendly retail places I went to years ago. Before I even got a pet! I visit for my dog, Diamond and enjoy getting him to socialize inside the store. They offer everything from grooming service (haven't touched that service yet, but I enjoy watching the show!), To advice and consulting on things like vets to find in the area and courses for training. I piakc up bones and treats

    A great location and very accessible store at Smart centres on Brock Road. Went there to but some Goldfish for my aquarium few days ago and found out the store is well organized, clean, maintained and managed. Staff here is very friendly and polite. They are very helpful while choosing pets and products. Grooming services for pets is available too. Their adoption centre have good pets to adopt( it is now closed temporarily due to covid-19 situation). Parking is easily available. Curbside pickup us available to assist people and reduce rush in the store. It was pleasure visiting. I recommend this place to everyone.

    Absolutely the worst location. I choose to visit the ajax location over this PetSmart based on their customer service alone. Every fish I have bought from this location has died. I have two aquariums, fish I bought from big Al's have survived and thrive. On-top of this, I bought some aquatic plants that were infested with snail eggs, I had no idea, and now they are invading my tank. I called countless times to try and solve this with their team and their phones are always ringing. When I finally got an answer I was told that this was common for their plants - which I as a customer was not informed of- and that there was nothing they could do to settle this for me. They told me to go to BIG AL'S to get what I needed. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. This is a picture of one of the LARGER ones. There are dozens of micro snails everywhere...

    Extremely poor customer service from.tanya and her team at pets mart. Weve been clients of pets mart with our two dogs for a very long time getting consistent grooming services at various locations. Its the day before christmas and we had an apt for two weeks and they refused service. Weve never had issues and they said the dog has a skin wort that was flakey. weve been grooming our dog for years and even two days ago took our dog to the vett who didnt bring up any issues with their skin and recommended grooming - they still refused our service. I tried accomodating their worry by offering for my vett to contact them directly them to reassure them that the skin bump isnt an issue and the dog has had it for over 10 years - she also refused. I tried accomodating to ask the groomer to cutt around the area 5 inches away since they were worried and she still refused service. We suspect its the day before christmas and they were afraid if they hit a sensitive area they would have a bigger issue at hand if the dog bled. We suspect they didnt want to risk that bc its the day b4 christmas and any other day of the week they would have taken him like they always do. Petsmart has lost our business for life - they were not even willing to meet us half way on accomodations we were willing to make. We would like go be contacted by head office its moments like these big companies lose out on thousands of dollars from family and friends who share their experiences. We have two dogs 75$ each which is $150 per dog. X 7 grooming times a month is $1,050 a year. If we were to take our dogs there for lifetine that is over $15,750. Share the experience with a friend who has dogs and thats another 15k. Any other day of the week they would have taken our dogs like they usually do but right before christmas they didnt want to take this "risk" and refused our servic and made a mountain out of a molehill. Just as easily as they refuse our service we refuse to give them ours and our familys.

    The employees are super kind and accommodating. Hands up to everyone. They know what they're doing. Hardest things to do with our sons pet Sasha and Sofie is trimming their nails. They just did it in the nick of time. These people know what they are doing. And everyone is super friendly.

    We take our dogs here to get groomed and everytime they have done an amazing job taking care of them. Staff is friendly, professional, and have excellent customer service. Store is clean and organized. Thanks to everyone working here for their continued efforts in their work! I recommend this PetSmart location to anyone in need of pet products and services.

    The rest of the reviews were probably based on the store, but oh man the grooming service was bad. We have a dog with slightly nervous personality, but never in his life been called “difficult” by other groomers/boarding sites. We came here, and all of a sudden he’s a “difficult dog, requires extra attention”. Acts like we “need to stick around and observe”… Guess what, all that for just a much steeper price tag for the service! By labeling him a “difficult dog”, the groomer can charge a much steeper price tag for the service! How convenient?

    Pro: convenient location to get most of what you need for your pet (ie.: food, toys, etc.) Con: very poor services for grooming and dog training. Group classes are not very functional, dogs are constantly barking and fighting. Grooming services are difficult to book and the client service reps are not well trained in dealing with all breeds of dogs. Smaller dogs might be easy for them to handle, but if you have a dog that is 60 pounds or more, consider taking him/her to a real professional dog groomer. That’s what I ended up doing and I’m glad I did.

    i had worst experience at pet mart grooming at brock pickering . They don’t care about ur pet or you . The girl named keisha made me cry . Also they will try to chsrge u extra for brushing dog tail and won’t let you know . Be aware i was shocked when they said to pay extra fee or i won’t let you leave store.. i did over 25 services and i know rules . They supose to call u 30 min before to picnup pet i was 15 min late and both of girls started yelling at me and saying it’s my responsibility to come on time and when i told her i was as gym sorry i missed call she told me don’t go to gym next time u drop ur dog. like i been coming to petsmart since my dog was 8 weeks and this never happened before . They made me leave crying i was so upset with how they yelled at me

    I've always been with Petsmart for my dog's grooming but the service at this location grooming salon specifically is a bit off. We dropped our dog off at 4 for a groom and got a call at 5:30ish that he was done. We couldn't get back until 6:30 for pickup which is within the 2-3 hour pickup window. We got a scolding from the groomer who was last there, lights off, packed and ready to leave her shift early. She then charged us a boarding fee for her inconvenience lol Petsmart refunded us so I'm still a customer but this location's grooming service is off

    Unfortunately we will not be returning to petsmart for grooming services. Appointment for 10am and told we can’t drop our dog off 30 minutes early? Reason we were told that our dog can’t be there for more than 5 hours. It takes 4.5 hours to bathe and groom a 18lb dog? Many other groomers out there that will gladly accept our business.

    They overwork their staff and try to make them do a lot of different things at once (bookings, pet services, greeting, cashiering). Don't try to pop in for a quick purchase. It won't be quick. Selection is great though.

    All staff are nice at Pickering location and they always take time to greet Bella and give her cookies. We visit them very often. Today, I was looking for a good harness and Shay helped us find the perfect one for my Bella. Shay is super patient and lovely. Thank you Shay, Bella looks adorable and happy in her new harness. :)

    Manager on duty was not attentive and acted like she didn't want to help. Just bad customer service. I was with my child getting fish and all she could was point and let me figure it out, even though I advised I am a beginner at this. Just Fyi the time of my visit was at 11 30am. Word of advice to the girl who tried to help..don't work in retail if you don't like interacting with people and secondly don't ever act like your better then people. Best part of the visit was the cashier who cashed me out. Yes she explained everything and all while cashing me out even walked and got the conditioner for the water. That's real customer service. Thanks .

    First time taking My dog for a bath. It was so well set up and the two ladies that were working were amazing. Clean place and the supply everything. Even different types of shampoo. I’m making this my regular monthly place to go.

    I brought my dog to a Pet Smart location in Oshawa and it was a great experience for my dog, but unfortunately this location in Pickering was the worst mistake I have ever made, the groomer that my dog saw must of been an amateur as my dog came back to me with cuts on his body, the groomer only did the top of his body and underneath and left the remaining areas ungroomed . When I spoke with the groomer the excuse was he was not co-operative and they told me to go to the vet to have his hair done. I have never had a complaint about him at a groomer before as this is NOT his first time. When i picked up my dog he was shaking uncontrollably and seeing this made me emotional. I had to take it upon myself to finish his hair and comfort him. When I brought him home from PetSmart the tufts of hair in my car were unbelievable. I found that the groomer didn't try to take her time with him and do a better job then what she did. My feeling is that because I was in there on a Saturday she just wanted to leave as I was her last client, she tried to contact me to move up my appointment. From the time I dropped my dog to the time she gave up on him was within 30min at most... I highly do not recommend anyone to go to this location.

    We highly recommend Petsmart Grooming in Pickering, we have been using their services for the past 2 years. All staff are great. Katie our groomer is wonderful with our little Milo.

    I had to wait maybe 15 minutes before I went to the cashier to find someone to help me, because all of the associates were hiding in the back room and chatting, but the young lady who did finally come out to assist me was friendly and polite, so would've been 5 star if they were a bit more attentive to their department. Purchased from the fish and dog departments. The aquariums are relatively well-kept and only saw maybe one or two dead fish. Would have liked to see more selection and more extensive aquatic plant selection. They always have good selection in the dog supply section however.

    I wish I could give no stars. I’m SO disappointed in my experience today. I attended this location as they had the quickest available appointment for my 20lb Havanese Poodle whose coat was too much for the warmer temperatures we have been having. Upon dropping her off, the staff was rude and seemed as though I was bothering them by bringing my dog to her appointment. I asked how long it would take and they advised 2-3 hours and that they would give me a call 20 minutes before she was ready to be picked up. At the 3.5 hour mark, I gave them a call as I was waiting in the area- having come from Oshawa. They didn’t answer so I gave it another 15-20 minutes before calling again. Whoever I spoke with told me that she would be another 45 minutes to an hour. This seemed unreasonable as my dog is 20 lbs and all she was having done was a haircut but I said nothing and continued to wait. By hour 5 I started to get concerned so I went back to the store only to see one associate spinning in her chair and another one on the phone. At this point I just wanted my dog so I asked to pick her up. I was asked “oh did no one call you?” No, no one called me. Despite the salon being empty and my dog being locked in the kennel for however long. No, no one called me. Despite my dog being so desperate to relieve herself and have some water. No, no one called me. I will never be back. If you have even the slightest amount of compassion for your pet, I beg you not to bring them to this location. I am so so so disappointed. I would have waited around for however long I needed to if she was being taken care of properly but to see how desperate she was, not to mention the cut hair in her eyes and a sub-par haircut. I am so sorry to have put my dog through this and I will NEVER take her back there.

    They pretend to care about fish - after they have your money that is. Bought my 10 gallon tank and stocked it at this store over a year ago. They even helped me pick out the colours of tetra I wanted. Now one of my fish has died, and I'm told "your tank is severely overstocked" and if I buy a fish it will void any warranties. Well, if your fish lived longer than 3 days I wouldn't mind so much. But at the same time you are willing to say that a Betta needs only a 1 gallon tank?? Absolutely stupid. Go to the Whitby store.... They actually do care! Better yet, go to Big Al's... They actually know what they are talking about. I won't be back here, that's for sure.

    Super awesome place. Staff was very friendly. We were looking at some reptiles and one looked stuck, so the staff member came over and open up his home to make sure he was ok. It was super nice of her ! And for that alone they deserve a 5 star rating !

    This location for grooming is not good. Took my older dog here for a nail trim. They said that he couldn’t stand for the whole thing. My dog CAN stand!! Some made up story probably because I had asked for it to be done on the floor. At first they had said ok and then this excuse!!! Unacceptable! Will not go back. Those grooming areas are much tooo crowded. Petsmart is Another large company not caring for the client or its owner! Very Poor service! Found an amazing groomer elsewhere and he does a fantastic job!!

    Visited this PetSmart a few times over the past few weeks. The staff in the fish section were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to tell me exactly what fish got along with other fish and the best things to feed them. I came back because I had an issue with one of my newly purchased fish dying. They were pretty quick with the return/exchange. The woman at checkout was also really friendly and made it very easy to exchange for a new fish. Would recommend this location!

    If I can give this grooming service no stars I would. The associate LINDA is very unprofessional and rude. Not qualified for the position at all. She blatantly refused to groom my 22lb dog, citing that he was 30lbs just from looking at him. I had documentation from a recent vet visit with his weight. She didn't want to see it. Linda flat out said that due to severe pain in her arm she was unable to work on dogs over 30lbs. I was not informed of this when making the on-line booking. I eventually received a call from the store Manager who gave me another appointment the same day with another associate. I was charged for extra grooming services; not the initial package that I booked. Do not visit this location for your pet care. The staff need major professional development!

    Just ran in to grab our pick up order and a couple of other items from the shelf. The Halloween costumes are out so we had to check out some of those, too! Store is pretty well laid out, with lots of space in the aisles. It wasn't busy this evening, either, so that was good!

    Always a fun shopping experience with The Puppers. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and the actually like animals. You can tell just by speaking with them. Some pet stores, the staff seem so bored, but not here. Also, there is TONS of parking and the store is completely accessible. There has to be a nationwide shortage for them to be low on stock, but if they happen to be on the item you need, the will suggest a valid substitute to tie you over while they order yours in. If you bring your pooch in for a shopping trip, they get a nice cookie treat on the way out. Our pets absolutely love visiting this store, socializing, and picking out a toy or two.

    When looking for a specific brand of dry cat food and finding out that stock levels were low. Theresa put us forward and communicated with other coworkers to check inventory. When inventory found to be off, Theresa was suggesting alternatives based on her personal/professional experience. She went as far as comparing ingredients bag to bag to help with the decision making. Thank you Theresa for showing an outstanding dedication to your job and I will definitely be a customer here again!

    staff dealing with the fish/aquariums need to be trained on what they are talking about 😬 got a lot of misinfo the other day and was super disappointed when i did my research and went to big al’s pet store and they were so much more helpful there. the lady at pickering petsmart told me a heater would cook my beta fish alive. however betas are tropical animals and THRIVE with a heater in their tank. staff dont know much at all don’t trust them lol
