Most of the area is a so called zone 1, where you are not allowed to enter. But the areas you can enter, you will see lots of wild animals. you cannot access the beach since it’s in a forbidden area. without a map you will get lost since there are no signs along the way.

This should not be a place to go to as 90% of it is closed . But if you pay 35euros you can go on the tourist train that goes on the closed route to the beach . I did see and stroke the TAME deer at car park and saw some terrapin on the river as a road does cross it and you that is open now. A very wasted journey . On there own map they write all routes open

This is a beautiful and very natural park. You can even see deer here. There are guided tours, horse trails and carriage rides.

Highly recommended! A beautiful park with amazing pine trees . Dedicated bbq area, trekking paths, restaurants ecc You can also rent bikes to explore the area or take the little train that goes to the beach. Some areas of the park are not accessible so make sure to check beforehand at the visitors centre.

Beautiful open space. That's it. Not much else. If you walk throw the old barracks you end up at a small dock where a small boat can ferry you into the city of Pisa.

Love this place. We spend lots of weekends here always finding new places. Good path for kid cycling, hiking, ball time and animals watching. Quit always we meet animals that make my son be happy.

The sea was wild with a lot of current. The beach was free, and this is a great plus.

Beautiful park with many diferent hikingtrails and lots of beaches. There is an official webpage (in Italian) whete you can check the trails. Many of the trails are marked with red and white hikingtrailmarks. This is a good getaway if you visit Pisa and want to see some nature.

Fantastic, huge park at short distance from Pisa. The place has absolutely gorgeous pini marittimi (local pine trees), really cool fauna (among which deer, wildboar) and is the perfect place for a day out with kids. There are a couple of horse riding places, a large horse racing stadium, and endless exploration possibilities for children and adults alike. The park stretches all the way to the sea, but access to this latter is restricted. Watch out for ticks (Lyme disease is practically non-existent in the area though) and, in fall, for 'selvaggiume' (a rash induced by parasites, which is however totally innocuous, no worse than mosquito bites). Most often very quiet, it offers incredible colours at sunset.

Absolutely beautiful place. Multiple visits needed to see even half of it.

The park is beautiful but most of the paths are closed: you can only access with a guide if you book in advance. They charged us 20€ for hiring 4 bikes for only one hour, and they were all broken: we had to finish the route on foot and they wouldn't refund us.

We went for a hike without a guide. However, without a guide, it's forbidden to take a quite some paths. For example, you can't walk towards the beach, because then you need to be guided. So you are forced to stay within the pine forest. (The pine trees are stunning though!) We did see a deer and a boar walking though the forest.

Great natural regional park, with plenty of wildlife (specially deers, but also boars, foxes, wolves, and I've been told that also horses and cows are have their free spaces to move in the park). It is a vast natural space, very close to the city, and it is worth the visit.

Nice sandy beach, with a lot of cool logs on it. The only downside are the small pieces pf wood everywhere.

Very nice road and forest but can not reach the sea because of closed gate at the end :(.

Amazing park! Too bad it is not allowed to walk on the main path all the way towards the sea. At least not without a guide

Beautiful, special natural park...I go there to relax and spend a day looking for deers and other endemic species or just for having a walk in one of the trails surrounded by nature
