While visiting Mexico the CDC regulations changed to return to the US and I needed to visit a dr to be able to return. The office was very prompt in answering my questions through WhatsApp and were fluent in English. They were able to get me in the next day. The dr and his staff were kind and quick and I was able to take care of my needs for a very reasonable price.

I’ve been living in Playa del Carmen for a month & arrived with a brown recluse spider bite wound that was still not fully healed. I was worried about the progress I was making, so I asked a friend for a doctor who I could speak to in English. She highly recommended Dr. Francisco Aguirre. That same day I went to see Dr. Aguirre. He was so helpful, kind, & knowledgeable. He explained everything perfectly & gave me good, practical advice. Everything went smoothly & the wound is now healed. I would definitely come back to this office.

I cannot rave enough about this medical group! I have had the privilege of being a patient of the General Dr, OBGYN, Endochronolgist and others in the practice. Every single visit I have felt heard, supported, educated and cared for. My visits have lasted at times more than an hour as doctors analyzed my blood work, looked for concerns and took the time to explain things in a way that I could understand, plan and prepare. I can't say enough positive things about the entire PlayaMD team.

We were seen by Dr. Cesar Pinto. We are Canadians who were visiting Mexico for 3 months. My 9 month old daughter had a high fever and blisters all over her body. We came here and we were told that she had chicken pox. Since our baby was so sick and we were terrified, we wanted a second opinion. We went to another Dr. at another location who said that she had Hand Foot And Mouth and that it was certainly NOT chicken pox. Again worried parents, we decided to go with his opinion and gave her the medicine that he prescribed. BIG MISTAKE. She got worse and her fever would not go down. Embarrassed that we didn't believe Dr. Pinto, yet hopeless, we decided to go back to him again. He was not offended, he was very understanding and said that it was chicken pox and explained why it was not Hand Food and Mouth. He was so calm and really seemed like he loved working with children. He even gave my son a lollipop for being so patient. He gave us the prescription and said that he wanted us to come back to take a look at how she was progressing. He showed genuine concern and it was not to "make a profit" especially since the rates were actually very affordable. Best of all he was very knowledgeable in what he was saying and didn't get impatient while I was asking questions, I wish we believed him in the first place and put our ignorance aside. This review is for Dr. Jared Hernández Reséndiz Urología. Excellent Urologist. Very knowledgable, and super kind and patient in explaining everything that is going on. Unlike some other Doctors in Playa, he really seems to love his work, and loves to help people and takes the time to make 100% sure you are clear about your situation. He was explaining everything to me in Spanish, and repeated himself 3 times or so to make sure I got it. I appreciated that. Great guy, would go back if I still had problems. (Although of course I hope to never see him again as a client!)

Amazing place and service from Dr. Raul Sosa Villarreal, the gynecologist. I showed up without an appointment and they fit me in. He really took the time to understand my state of health and was very professional, capable, and trustworthy. He also spoke perfect English which made it easier. Highly recommend.

Dr. Francisco at MD Playa stands out as a world class doctor. As a world traveler myself, I have seen my share of medical professionals. Some were good, some were not so good and some... well, I won't say. But, my friends and I have found that Dr. Francisco takes the time to discuss your concerns and gives you down to earth solutions. You feel as if he really cares about helping you to feel better. Thank you, Dr. Francisco!

Is incredibly expensive, the diu is in 4,200 copper and 4,500 silver. But they charge also 1000 pesos if is your first time, just for open your file. Total 5,500 for putting the diu. 350 dollars aprox. Other places have the dius at 1,500/2000 or 3000 “in a hospital!” (hospipen). I am sure they are good, but charging these prices is kind of incredible. I didn’t go, so I am not sure if their service is as incredible as their prices, but I recommend the people to read the reviews of this place and then make their decision.

I had a great experience with the physio Frida here. Great price. Discounts for multiple appointments. The appointments always started on time. Great response time from receptionists on WhatsApp. Awesome! And I'm back to 100% health too 👍👍

I’ve been living in Playa del Carmen for close to 2 years now, and recently found a great doctor. I first went to MD Playa for a rehabilitation consult that lead to excellent physical therapy by Frida, highly recommend it. I then had to see Dr. Francisco Aguirre and I cannot say enough to express how wonderful he is. First of all, he spent over an hour and a half during my first appointment to explain things and most importantly listen. All the appointments I’ve had after have been at least an hour long, so this right away is a great benefit that I never had in the States or another doctor here that I no longer go to. If you need a General MD I highly recommend him. In addition, MD Playa has a variety of specialists, so you basically can have comprehensive care in the same place. Lastly, the staff there are very friendly and scheduling is extremely easy.

Dr Francisco and the other specialists at MD Playa are simply the best. The level of services and amount of knowledge in that clinic is world class. Affordable, responsive and caring and professional. I am forever a fan for the last 10 years, and into the future.

Went to see Francisco after suffering a very deep cut in my knee which required stitches. He was one of the best doctors I have dealt with! Beyond friendly and patched me up perfectly! I have nothing but praise of Dr Aguirre. Thank you very much. If you need medical advice, highly recommend this place.

We were in Mexico when they announced new Canada pre-boarding PCR test rules. This clinic responded to our questions using whatsapp very promptly and scheduled us in. The PCR test was done fast and on-time with the best price we could find. Results came on the dot at 7pm next day. Recommend!

Fresh off the plane from California and I injured my foot..The amazing doctor at Hospiten referred me to MD+ Playa for physical therapy on my fractured foot.. I am beyond grateful for the awesome therapy I received from my physical therapist Christopher!! He was knowledgeable, experienced in his field and explained my injury and the extent of the treatment needed to get my foot healed...My foot felt stronger after each session! A huge ‘thank you’ to Dr. Lugo, the incredibly sweet, friendly and caring office manager Sac, and of course, my therapist Christopher....I thank you all in helping to get my foot healed so that I can continue my travels throughout beautiful Mexico!! While visiting Mexico last year I became very ill. Luckily I found Dr. Francisco Aguirre at Medi Playa. He is very thorough and gets to the root of the problem unlike most Canadian doctors. This year I saw him again for a check up and he altered my medications. The first night I took them,I could feel an improvement already! Thank you Dr. Aguirre! I highly recommend anyone to see him for their health.

Francisco Aguirre It’s one of the best doctors around, my partner had a severe cut on his leg and we went to md playa where we received the best service, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Aguirre was extremely friendly and the treatment my partner received was incredible, he fixed him up brand new. Highly recommend this place and Dr. Aguirre!

I have nothing but good things to say about the treatment I have received from Dr Francisco Aguirre and his staff. He is an outstanding primary care physician who listened closely to my concerns and was able to respond with the appropriate strategy to discover and cure the health problem I was facing.
