It seems like every local we asked recommended this place. From the moment you see the menu you start to appreciate why. The selection of food available is just incredible, from French to sushi to burgers and steaks, it seems this place has it all, with large hunger inducing photos. and herein lies the only issue I have, the photos are too good, insofar that the actual food is much smaller portions, and does not match expectations. Its not to say the food is bad, in fact each element was well put together and food arrive faster than you can shake a cocktail. We loved the risotto and had a feast of cusines from around the world. Just come here with more realistic expectations and be blown away.

Happy used to be great and I went there many times. But recently in 3 different Happy restaurants me and my company saw big brown 🪳 🪳 cockroaches. Here a large one crawling our jackets! I imagine what's in the kitchen! Unbelievable but true... hope they will take caution.

Overall not satisfied tummy customers except for the bread that we’ve ordered. To be fair that their staff very friendly and attentive. The ambience very nice and very welcoming. The set of menu changes every month. December 2019 was Bulgaria so we’ve ordered more on traditional meals since I’m with Bulgarian people :) My father-in law ordered chicken soup, bread and chicken skewers, whereby my husband ordered happy chicken and I ordered Boyar Style Pork Shank. Looks can be deceiving, so don’t rely from the menu photos. Waiting time was pretty decent but not worth for the quality. I personally not a fan of my side order (polenta with white cheese). The pork shank not so soft and tender, so pretty difficult to chew. Taste too powerful I would say - not for me. Same thing for the chicken. There’s no WOW factor 👎 You can try this restaurant and perhaps you will have different opinions 😇

It's a place that we will recommend without doubt! The sushi were great! And wait staffs were very friendly and pleasant despite it being very busy! Special request of no cheese are fulfilled at no question and wine is great too! Only item that will add on to the authenticity will be to have selections of sake! We might just come back tomorrow for lunch! Thank you for the excellent food and service!

Food was OK. Small problem with cross contamination between chicken and fish which was sorted, but need to be looked up as could of end up in Emergency if any allergies were present. The low score comes mainly because of the presence of cockroaches all around the table- unacceptable for food establishment.

During my visit to the charming city of Plovdiv, I had the pleasure of dining at Happy Restaurant, and I must say, it truly lived up to its name. The extensive selection of dishes showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality and culinary excellence. The food at Happy Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was prepared with care, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. From appetizers to main courses and desserts, every bite was a delight. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was both artistic and inviting. It was evident that the chefs took pride in their craft and paid attention to even the smallest details.

Like I wrote before, I love going to all Happy bar and grill all over Bulgaria. So far this one in Plovdiv , Vasil Levski Str. was very pleasant (except of Port Varna one, I just love the sea). Spacious, not too noisy like others, good food and the waitress Teodora Stamatova was an angel, very rarely you can meet such politness, good mood and competence all in one.

Amazing restaurant! Very large menu, but everything looked great. Soups were really good, shopska salad was great (maybe missing some spices, but the ingredients were very fresh) noodles and tacos were good, maybe a bit too fatty. The staff was really nice and helpful and there's so many employees that you never have to wait long for anything. Overall great experience, highly recommended!

Definitely favorite restaurant of my favorite franchise in Bulgaria. Quality and price ratio is incredible and menu is full of regular tasty dishes and seasonal offerings. And if that is not enough for you, sushi offer is even more amazing and very affordable. The ambient of this specific restaurant comes alive in summer months. It feels like an oasis in the middle of the hot city on summer days. It is always full though, so either arm yourself with patience for outside table, or go inside, where AC will keep you cool. My recommendation is, that you should always prioritize seasonal offers. Keep up the good work people and please don't degrade in quality as you get more and more famous.

First of all, the food is very nice. Big portions and fresh, clean food. Many options and very respectful and helpful staff. They all speak English and some of them other languages (also Greek!!) Very beautiful interior and great prices The portions on the delivery menus seem smaller though

Awesome menu with lots of options! The staff is nice and helpful and it's easy to order The sushi quality is amazing as always, and we also love the lemonades! Very interesting (and delicious) sauces that come with the sides (like fries and nuggets) Great experience, definitely better than the Happy at the center, less people and a nicer atmosphere!

Good and fresh food, with lots of vegetarian options, fast service and friendly staff. Being a bit further from the historical center, you will have more chances of finding a table than at the other Happy from the center.

Food portions are super good. Good quality chain, they literally have anything you want from burgers to sushi. First pic is the gyro was good especially with a side of soy garlic mayo (thats a must). The burgers were imaculate, we got the "Mr Cheesy" and the taste and serving was perfect. The salad was fresh and light and "Happy" never dissapoints with their Sushi. I recommend the spot very much, even though the parking was somewhat difficult

After very nice lunch, I have forgot my wallet on the chair. It was almost 1 hour when I realized and camed back, until then was keeped by the restaurant manager. Many, many thanks, You spared me a lot of suffer.

apparently the staff is supposed to smile because it’s called Happy Grill, however our waitress frowned the whole time and acted irritated, then gave us the wrong drinks…. She also didn’t remember who ordered which dishes. black pepper beef wasn’t cooked - it was so pink when served and this was not a steak that could be eaten rare. the paella was so salty you needed to drink a lot of water with it.

Food is as expected as any Happy restaurants, service and waitresses is by the standart. The only thing is the indoor area not so spacey, would've been good in outdoor area but it was cold (when we visited in the winter) and smoking area and we are with newborn twins.

The food was very good, I ordered the asian ribs and my girlfriend the quesadillas.The service was one of the best one i’ve had, the waiters where fast and very kind with a smile.Furthermore the dessert was a 10/10, its name was nutella lazzania.Overall a very very good place to eat , i would strongly recommend

Happy used to the consistent with renewed seasonal food options and freshest of ingredients. On a recent visit the seasonal list offered last year's menu and the quality and quantity of two items ordered in 2021, underwhelmed with lack of taste and freshness.
