Very quiet and peaceful place. Tourists usually don't go there, so it is just you and the silence. Nothing special though very pretty and atmospheric wat. Could be visited if you are somewhere near.

the temple always close, but I always find the cats in these temple, they are everywhere. This one white-black tail is the famous one here, he like to sleep on the shrine in front of the temple.

Larger Temple complex than the nearby Wat Sitaram, however I was unable to get inside the main Temple building and adjoining Stuppa. On the plus side the grounds are nicer with many small accommodations for the monks. Next to the Temple in front of the car park, there is a large assembly area with ajoining rooms where I found monks chanting and giving blessing to visiting family groups.

Wat Somanat was build in King Rama 4th, which is named by the daughter of King Rama 3rd. We can see the effect of Chinese culture from decorations of frames of windows and the wall. The golden flowers on the frames are mudan(牑丹).

It is large and there is a very tall pagoda. The grounds are super well maintained. I did get inside however the quality of the architecture is amazing. I can’t wait to see inside.

Limited car park space while some available space is blocked at the back side of the funeral spots. No staff to help or guide the parking search. Poor management comparing to other Wat for funeral event.

Not much easily to get connected here if without your own transportation. But if you have own transportation during covid situation there is available parking for car. Clean with air conditioner place of doing ceremony. Great to consider this place is good one.
